Bistro du Vin Birmingham

I booked this lovely little place on First Table. It's tucked in the Hotel du Vin and I probably would have never known it was there. Because we booked on first table it was very quiet when we got in there at 5pm and we were unsure how it was going to be. But it soon filled up and there was a lovely atmosphere. And what a fabulous little find it was. The food was absolutely delicious, hot, goodly portions and tasty. And our waitress was amazing.... Very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Even told us about happy hour on champagne and champagne cocktails. Yes please!! 😂 I would very much recommend this lovely restaurant and I will definitely be going back myself.

Excellent food and service. I like this warm and cozy restaurant. My friend and I enjoyed the food very much. We ordered two appetisers, two main dishes and two sides. All of the food was stunning. They did serve hot food, not a warm one 🤣. The French onion soup was so hot but I like it 👍🏼. There were at least five pieces of fish in the fish stew and it tasted really good. We even ate the fries with the sauce in the fish stew. Only one thing has to be improved is that the sauce under the duck leg and pork belly was a bit salty. But anyway, I would recommend my friends to try this restaurant.

Had a wonderful dinner here at the bistro. Great friendly and helpful service staff, recommended the special and the chateaubrienn was great! Really enjoyed the meal and the ambiance here.

Sylvia was great! We were more than half an hour late thanks to taxi problems. We did call to try and say we were still coming but the message didn’t get through. We had just one hour when we arrived because we were due at a concert and no table was laid because staff thought we were a no-show. Sylvia took us under her wing, rapidly whipped up a table for 4 and made sure the kitchen knew to hurry our meals because we needed to leave sharp. Food great and ambiance lovely. Thabk you Sylvia!

From the moment we arrived, the team at Bistro du Vin were exceptional, they had arranged a lovely private table for our special occasion, giving us an intimate and memorable setting. The service was attentive throughout: knowledgeable, warm, and thoughtful without ever being intrusive. Our menu highlights included the oysters (outstanding: fresh, delicious and beautifully presented), the sea bass (perfectly cooked, light yet indulgent). The dessert was a delightful surprise to finish the evening, satisfying and a perfect endnote. In short: impeccable food, great atmosphere and service that genuinely made our celebration special. Highly recommend Bistro du Vin for anyone looking for a refined dining experience in Birmingham.

I was surprised to find the restaurant was practically empty when we arrived at 7.30 on a Friday night - which made it all the more surprising that the food and service was absolutely impeccable. We were all happy with our dishes, and Betta's service really elevated the experience. She was attentive, positive, enthusiastic, and made good, relevant recommendations. Thank you Betta, for looking after us all night, and turning a good night out into a memorable one!

Great location, wonderful food, extremely nice service from Benedetta and Anesu! We enjoyed the dinner, cheer to Benedetta from the italian neighbour 🤗
