The food was so flavorful and portions were generous. We will definitely be back! I loved my stuffed tomato and pepper. We also started with the halloumi, which was firm but melty and savory. The restrooms are clean and service is friendly. It's a little loud inside, but not unbearable. It's a BYOB.

Had the pleasure of eating at the stamna Greek tavern. I really enjoyed the food, the people, and the quickness. The food was absolutely delicious! The area was real nice and they had outdoor parking which was pretty convenient. Definitely try out the squid, it was great. Also recommend their chicken gyro. The chicken is very fresh. Must try this place.

Braised lamb wrapped in Parchment was insane. Grape leaves were the best i ever had. Bronzino and Octopus cooked perfectly. Very casual restaurant offering great value. bypb

I've been to Greece & absolutely fell in love...well..Stamna is so delicious. We did a family dinner tonight. We had amazing fresh appetizers. Grilled octopus which was so tender & seasoned with perfection, dolmas were flavorful & tasty, fried calamari was a hit especially with my 5yr old son. Very light batter. The Greek salad & homemade feta was to die for. I ordered the saganaki which I hadn't had since Greece or being stationed in Germany. Our main courses we had seafood orzo & whole branzino, the vegetable of the day was stewed okra which was good & I ordered the lambchops. I had wanted the mixes grill platter but sadly no lamb gyro. Overall amazing food great service & would without hesitation come again.

I’m no expert in Greek food but I do love a good Taramosalata… which was delicious and the amount they served was crazy !!! But the best part of this visit was meeting the owner and her son, who let us tried a whole bunch of goodies that they had received from vendors !!! That’s the type of place I want to visit more often … the ones that make you feel like home !! Go .. sit at the bar and enjoy !

Stamna never disappoints. The food here is excellent. All their traditional Greek dishes are authentic and so flavorful! The staff is so attentive and friendly, too. The atmosphere is airy and fun - Greek music plays while you eat and a large TV shows gorgeous views of the country. We keep coming back!

We had lunch here for the first time as a family of 4. The food was very good, clean and hygienic, the attitude was also very good, my daughter even ate 2 large pork chops by herself. The children clamored to come back. I like this restaurant very much.

Stamna Taverna draws on the experience and vast background of Mediterranean culture, with its roots originating from Greece. Our menu is comprised not only of replicated Greek recipes, but of food brought in directly from the Mediterranean. Expect that to include a wide range of mezedes, or small plates; imported feta cheese, horiatiki salad, and an ever-changing selection of fresh-from-the-Mediterranean seafood including lavraki seabass, and grilled octopus.There will be Greek coffee and traditional frappes, along with desserts like baklava, Greek yogurt and honey (both also imported from Greece), and more.

I love this place. I was having my doubts when I went but everything was amazing. There was also bread that came from the start, and it was absolutely AWESOME. Loved it. I ate it with some mezzes. Out of the 5 mezzes, my favorite was tzatziki. I didn’t like 2 of the mezzes, but that wasn’t because they were bad. It was just by opinion. Then, we ate some Lavraki and I absolutely loved it. We also ate Kadayif for dessert and it was good. The service was really nice, with everyone kind. Fried Kalamari was also great. Would recommend.

I asked to customize their traditional gyro for a shrimp gyro, and they were happy to. It was flavorful and their tzatziki sauce.. so yummy! Their baklava, on the other hand not so great. If you're into heavy cinnamon taste, then it's def a treat for you to try. It is BYOB, which is great, and their next to a Wine & Country as a perk. I love the warmer days because you can sit outdoors, but inside is just as pretty with an authentic Greek touch.

Great restaurant, amazing food and awesome staff. Very welcoming host and caring waiters. Will definitely be back soon!

This originally opened when I lived down the street and it has been my favorite restaurant ever since. Visited the new location a few storefronts down and sat outside. Everything was as delicious as I remembered. The fresh cut fries... And everything else.... Are so good.

Incredible authentic Greek food! The dishes are so fresh and delicious. You can tell it's a labor of love; the family that runs this place does a beautiful job. Branzino (lavraki) my favorite fish.

Ordered for dinner takeout. The food was fish was fresh, delicious and grilled to perfection. The fish came with my choice of Greek salad which was also refreshing. I will definitely order from here. It’s worth the $46 spent.

We've gone around and tried so many greek places, and this place has exceeded our expectations. It's been consistent for the several times we've dine and ordered, so I would highly recommend Stamna!

Arguably my favorite restaurant in all of New Jersey I've been going to this place at least once a month for over 20 years I love the food the service the ambience the prices the parking in the adjacent parking lot and the fact that it's BYOB you can't go wrong here

Amazingly delicious seafood options but the desserts also surprisingly very good. Staff is very friendly and treat you like a family .

A very, very good lamb gyro platter very plentiful, good service (thanks Andrew and the other two young gentlemen who assisted you.) The Ladies room smelled wonderful and was very clean.

My husband and I brought his mom here for her birthday lunch. The restaurant is clean and welcoming, with a colorful bar. It reminded me of when I was in Greece. When we sat down, we got complimentary bread with olive oil and a small bowl of olives. We started with a chicken-rice lemon soup. The bowl was bigger than expected and the soup was delicious- very lemony. His mom ordered shrimp kebabs and we both ordered chicken slouvaki with lemon potatoes. Excellent food! We got sparkling water that was imported from Greece that was very good. Our waiter was so attentive and accommodating- a very kind, hard-working man. We will be back!

I just ordered from here tonight for the first time, and even as takeout it was the best Greek food I’ve had locally. Every menu item was superb. Order: avgolemono, fries with feta, spanakopita, lamb gyro. I called the restaurant prior to placing my order with a few menu questions and they were more than friendly, patient, and helpful, which is the cherry on top. Will absolutely be making an effort to dine in person next!

Amazing place, original Mediterranean food with a great ambiance. The personnel is very friendly and willing to explain any of the dishes. Has great parking at rear and didn’t wait for a table. The portions are huge and very well cooked. The Greek coffee is a must!

Had dinner with the hubs... what a fantastic place. Service was on point, food was amazing, great atmosphere and prices are reasonable! Large portions, freshly made. This is such a gem!! New favorite place. BYOB. Trust me just go!

Everything was fantastic! We sampled several appetizers, a lamb kebab, lemon potatoes and the orange cake. Simply delicious! Great service as well!

Ordered from here as a treat to myself on Valentine's Day! I Was Not Disappointed. Everything was amazing, and they even added a dessert for me!!! Pleasantly surprised by that. I will get this again because there is so much variety, and the food tastes amazing! Best treat to myself!!!

Bustling restaurant where reservations are highly recommended. Service can be kinda slow but worth the wait because the food is very good. Lamb gyro reminded of me of schwarma. Dips are a bit different, baba needed to be more roasted but salmon dip very good though borderline salty. Portions are generous. Parking in back, very kid friendly, and liquor store next door for BYOB though pricey.

Good for a taste of Greek flavors. I’m not a frequent Mediterranean/Greek food diner so I’ll just provide input based on what little I’m familiar with. First visit to their Bloomfield location though we’ve eaten at their Little Falls location. I recall this location to be much more spacious. I wanted to try their pork chops, but though they smelled great they ended up rather dry. The juiciest Greek pork chops I’ve had still come from Ambeli in Cranford! The fillet of branzino was pretty good, and the baklava was sweet as expected. Overall this was okay.

Nice cute and quaint little restaurant. The food was great and seafood was fresh. However, I did find the grilled chicken to be a little on the bland side. I did not see any designated parking lots for this restaurant so parking can be challenging if you go during a busy day or time since it all street parking. However, I had no issues finding parking on the side streets around the restaurant. Overall, a great little restaurant in Bloomfield.

Went with a group of five. Food was plentiful, but all entrees came out cold. Several sent them back to get reheated. If I ever go back, I will be sure to mention to the waiter to please make sure my food comes out hot.

Large restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining. Occasionally, you get a dry salmon dish. Bronzino, lemon potatoes and Greek salad make a good dinner.

Good food and excellent service. I ordered the seafood platter and the sauteed shrimp. Both were tasty but could have been better.

I purchased a chicken gyro platter for $20, but unfortunately, the quality of the food was disappointing. The portions were separated in the photo to demonstrate this. The food seemed old and not fresh, and the fries were cold and overcooked, as if they had been sitting for a long time. The salad lacked flavor and consisted mostly of the lettuce base. The pita bread was also soft and seemed stale. Sadly, I was disappointed with my purchase and only ate a small amount of the food. It was a waste of money.

This place is awesome on every level and I would give it five stars, except they need to do something about the parking lot. When walking between the parking lot and the sidewalk that leads to stamina, it is pitch black. Someone is going to get hit by a car. They need to add lighting. I risk my life every time I walk through that area.

I was looking for somewhere to get a vegan lunch and came across this place. I called in the order and asked the man that answered for suggestions and he said the imam (eggplant dish), so I went with it. When I arrived I parked nearby and walked in. The place was fairly big and spacious. The man that took my order greeted me and I told him who I was. My food was ready and it came to a little over $11. When I got home I dug in and the food was just ok. I did like the potatoes but the eggplant wasn't anything to jump up and down about. It wasn't seasoned to my liking. Will I go back? Not sure

Horrible. Ordered the grilled chicken with lemon potatoes (kotopoulo fileto) and was so disappointed. The chicken was rubbery and tasteless. The lemon potatoes were SO SALTY I couldn't even eat them. I ordered through Uber eats. I think they give take out orders old food. For 2 orders I paid about $70 (not including tip). Put out better quality food. No food should be so overly salted unless you are trying to cover something up. Never again.

How do you mess up a Greek salad at a Greek restaurant? This one was soaked in tasteless, cheap olive oil,no vinegar, no seasoning, no dressing at all. When we told the waiter, he responded sarcastically, saying the kitchen overused their “most expensive ingredient” (olive oil) and forgot the rest. I lived in Greece and my family owns an olive farm in the Mediterranean, so I can guarantee this was the cheapest, most flavorless olive oil I’ve ever tasted. To make things worse, my family got sick from the food, including a child. Never again.
