The food is perfectly cooker. The have food to order. They have an array of "frituras" empanadas, sorullos, alcapurrias, papa rellenos. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The also make whole orders like roast pork and chicken. If you want to eat quality puerto rican food, make your way here, then leave a review yourself. You'll be glad you did.

I have been coming here for years. They make empanadas all day. I love their bacalao and my son loves their, pollo guisado. I do recommend.
Had to travel the world to find brown bag breakfast. They had it all!
Thursday special pulled pork. One of a lot of options that all looked incredible. Ill go back. Beef and chicken empanadas were great too.
The food is phenomenal. The atmosphere is decent. The service is good.

Food was very well seasoned and fresh. Maduros were perfect. Pernil was delicious not salty. Arroz con gandules was on point. My meal tasted like I was eating in the Campo in PR.
Great authentic Puerto rican food!
Great authentic Puerto rican food!
Took me back to PR with the fritura of surullos, alcapuria, and empanada de pizza.
The best Puerto Rican food in Newark, Nj. I always come here for the pernir. The staff is always friendly and serves you well. I can't wait for their repairs to start. My heart goes out for the people as they were burned out. Thank you for the many years of delicious meals.
Excellent puerto rican food!
I've been to El Rincon Latino BBQ on three occasions and they delivered every time. The food is always hot, flavorful, plentiful, prices are low and service is friendly. Atmosphere is welcoming and music is always on point. Highly recommend you stop by for a quick bite. You won't regret it.
Me encanta la comida fresca y rica! Authentic Puerto Rican food. Taste delicious. The staff is amazing. Been a customer for many years. Delicioso! A must try. Great fritura too!!
First of all, arriving at this Rincón Latino restaurant is like arriving in Puerto Rico and eating all the delicacies we eat on our island. The trend is top-notch, as they have exceptional staff serving customers who come in. I give Rincón Latino a 10.

Authentic puertorican food. Best around
Very good Puerto Rican food. Empanadas and fried pork are outstanding.
Nice place to have a meal if you like Puerto Rican food
Exceptional traditional Puerto Rican foods and a good price. Make sure you ask if they have your favorites as you may need to wait - the food goes as fast as the cook can prepare and cook it!
This is a solid spanish food restaurant, more specifically puerto rican. Their empanadas are one of the better ones around, and they always have pasteles among other things you wouldn't cook normally everyday. They been around for a while and are very consistent with the quality of the food. Good for take out or dine in.
Alcapurias both de yuca and guineo were delicious, the beef empanada however was not , meat had a weird taste.
If you want something to eat instead making mess at home, this spot will do. Good choices that changes daily.

Limited options, food is just ok, empanadas too greasy
I bought today food and I found a hair in my food and I throw it away
Good food , not so clean.
Food is very good but I was dissapointed in quanity. I ordered the ribs with rice for a male and there was only 1 rib. No way near enough to fill him up paid $10 for rice
The breakfast was ok but they don't have puertorican bread nor puertorican coffee.
is good to order to take out, because is a very small place!
It's Okay but I like to see my food prepared. I'm picky that way. We all have our corks. Food size were good food was good.but we all know eating out has become to expensive I'd take a first time date⁰ there.......

Cold food not the best, overcooked. Super pee stinky bathroom!
I have never heard of the Puerto Rican section of Newark until I left JC and NY. I was excited to see some of the restaurants but this place is not it. I visited on a summer afternoon and it was dirty, and food was swimming in grease.
Morsillas were cold and the pizza empanada was dry af. This place has gone down under
The new Remodeled Restaurant is nice. The frituras are not good. Too Greasy. They need a new method for cooking them. They look like burnt Empanadas.

I ordered food for Thanksgiving a week ahead and when I got there the food wasn't ready. Had to wait another 30 minutes and I ask the manager for a discount and he declined it. He said there were two many orders from different people and he only has two people cooking. I notify him that my food was ordered a week in advance and charged $130 that was going to be ready at 1pm and just ignore me. The worse part was the yellow rice was lame, pork was cold, beef empanadas were over cooked. I will never go back again.
I wasn’t a fan of the food. I had the empanada de carne. The dough was good but they gave little meat and the meat did not taste good. Im sorry. The pollo guisado was ok, need more flavor in the chicken. The alcapura de yuca was a no. The arroz con guandules was mushy, to much water. The atmosphere was nice and the service was good but the food could’ve been better.

Can’t tell haven’t been open
Food use to be good before it Burned down, food looks Nasty now.
Just ordered a soup and was too salty.
Found a fly in my empanada and when I told them. They give me and attitude.
Terrible . The empanadas were rock hard the rice was left out all day and when I called to complain the phone just rang and rang . Idk how they could serve such terrible food . Don’t waste your money here I wish I could give negative stars
this is the worst restaurant i have ever been too the food is old and it doesnt taste good, most things are oily and salty do not go here
Horrible had to throw food away alcapurrias were horrible, rellenos de papa horrendous,
It’s not authentic Puerto Rican food. Not even season well it’s not what it used to be. I don’t know if they changed the cook, but this is not Puerto Rican food.
The worst place to get food from! It’s salty, cold and old food. The morcilla was hard and dry, the relleno de papa was falling apart and oily, the lunch was salty and the lady was rude. I rather go around the corner to Taínos on Mt Prospect.
I ordered, White rice n pollo guisado. Pasteles. Sopa de pollo, alcapurias, empanadas....suffice to say my dog wouldn't eat any of this either. Not sure if they sold or changed chef/cook. Not sure how they are in business. Strongly suggest you Google any other nearby latin food restaurant.
First time ordering on ubereats rice taste two days old. Gave me burnt rice . Def not fresh . Beef is super dry. A waste of money. Wont be ordering again. I never got my beans either ! This place is terrible. Thank God i got a refund from Uber

Literally just came from visiting this spot and food looks dry and seems to be sitting around quite sometime. The lady was not welcoming at all and seemed bothered. What topped it off was her picking her teeth with a Toothpick by the food. That was unsanitary. I just walked out.
Ordered for the first time on Uber Eats and the rice tasted days old and the pork tasted just as old. I’m a chef I know what old rice tastes like and the pernil was old and reheated. Then when I called to let them know about the quality the woman who answered the phone was like “ oh well I didn’t cook the food”. Horrible food and horrible service. Uber should remove them as an option.
Visited on 11/16/2024: 1. The woman with the tattooed eyebrows who was serving food was friendly and spoke Spanish to the man ahead of me. However, when she saw me, her demeanor completely changed. I spoke to her in Spanish, but she responded in English, appearing annoyed and blunt. I placed my order, which came to a surprising $17.50. 2. I ordered 2 chicken, 1 beef, and 1 cheese empanada, along with 2 Welch’s juices, and again, the total was $17.50. I found this price a bit steep, but I didn’t want to cause a scene. Afterward, I called the restaurant and placed the same order in fluent Spanish to test if the price would be the same. To my surprise, it was $4 less. 3. I've noticed several reviews mentioning a rude and unfriendly woman, and if it’s the same person I encountered, I believe El Rincon could improve in this area. Customer service plays a big role in the overall experience, and this kind of attitude can affect repeat business, specially from a literal neighbor like myself.
Went there for 1st time with a friend. What a disappointment. It suppose to be a Puerto Rican restaurant but food wasn't made by PR. Ordered rice gandules roast pork n pastel. Rice dry, pastel was bland no flavor at all. Didnt even eat it. Roast pork was tasty n moist. My friend got beef stew with white rice. Meat was NOT tender. She also said pastel was tastless. The server was rude. I told her my order 3 times and she still got it wrong. 40.00 was over priced. Dont go here if u want authentic PR food. This is NOT the place. Never again will i visit this place. Server was Not PUertoRican either. Smh this place gets a F+
This was the worst me and husband came in for diner one the food was cold you can tell it was sitting for awhile my husband approached them on one item we bought and it was so hard and the lady kept saying that his it’s cooked. Worst experience ever. I do not recommend.
