Great authentic Puerto rican food!
Great authentic Puerto rican food!
Took me back to PR with the fritura of surullos, alcapuria, and empanada de pizza.
The best Puerto Rican food in Newark, Nj. I always come here for the pernir. The staff is always friendly and serves you well. I can't wait for their repairs to start. My heart goes out for the people as they were burned out. Thank you for the many years of delicious meals.
Excellent puerto rican food!
I've been to El Rincon Latino BBQ on three occasions and they delivered every time. The food is always hot, flavorful, plentiful, prices are low and service is friendly. Atmosphere is welcoming and music is always on point. Highly recommend you stop by for a quick bite. You won't regret it.
Me encanta la comida fresca y rica! Authentic Puerto Rican food. Taste delicious. The staff is amazing. Been a customer for many years. Delicioso! A must try. Great fritura too!!
First of all, arriving at this Rincón Latino restaurant is like arriving in Puerto Rico and eating all the delicacies we eat on our island. The trend is top-notch, as they have exceptional staff serving customers who come in. I give Rincón Latino a 10.

This is a solid spanish food restaurant, more specifically puerto rican. Their empanadas are one of the better ones around, and they always have pasteles among other things you wouldn't cook normally everyday. They been around for a while and are very consistent with the quality of the food. Good for take out or dine in.
Alcapurias both de yuca and guineo were delicious, the beef empanada however was not , meat had a weird taste.
If you want something to eat instead making mess at home, this spot will do. Good choices that changes daily.

The new Remodeled Restaurant is nice. The frituras are not good. Too Greasy. They need a new method for cooking them. They look like burnt Empanadas.

I ordered food for Thanksgiving a week ahead and when I got there the food wasn't ready. Had to wait another 30 minutes and I ask the manager for a discount and he declined it. He said there were two many orders from different people and he only has two people cooking. I notify him that my food was ordered a week in advance and charged $130 that was going to be ready at 1pm and just ignore me. The worse part was the yellow rice was lame, pork was cold, beef empanadas were over cooked. I will never go back again.
I wasn’t a fan of the food. I had the empanada de carne. The dough was good but they gave little meat and the meat did not taste good. Im sorry. The pollo guisado was ok, need more flavor in the chicken. The alcapura de yuca was a no. The arroz con guandules was mushy, to much water. The atmosphere was nice and the service was good but the food could’ve been better.

Literally just came from visiting this spot and food looks dry and seems to be sitting around quite sometime. The lady was not welcoming at all and seemed bothered. What topped it off was her picking her teeth with a Toothpick by the food. That was unsanitary. I just walked out.
Ordered for the first time on Uber Eats and the rice tasted days old and the pork tasted just as old. I’m a chef I know what old rice tastes like and the pernil was old and reheated. Then when I called to let them know about the quality the woman who answered the phone was like “ oh well I didn’t cook the food”. Horrible food and horrible service. Uber should remove them as an option.
Visited on 11/16/2024: 1. The woman with the tattooed eyebrows who was serving food was friendly and spoke Spanish to the man ahead of me. However, when she saw me, her demeanor completely changed. I spoke to her in Spanish, but she responded in English, appearing annoyed and blunt. I placed my order, which came to a surprising $17.50. 2. I ordered 2 chicken, 1 beef, and 1 cheese empanada, along with 2 Welch’s juices, and again, the total was $17.50. I found this price a bit steep, but I didn’t want to cause a scene. Afterward, I called the restaurant and placed the same order in fluent Spanish to test if the price would be the same. To my surprise, it was $4 less. 3. I've noticed several reviews mentioning a rude and unfriendly woman, and if it’s the same person I encountered, I believe El Rincon could improve in this area. Customer service plays a big role in the overall experience, and this kind of attitude can affect repeat business, specially from a literal neighbor like myself.
Went there for 1st time with a friend. What a disappointment. It suppose to be a Puerto Rican restaurant but food wasn't made by PR. Ordered rice gandules roast pork n pastel. Rice dry, pastel was bland no flavor at all. Didnt even eat it. Roast pork was tasty n moist. My friend got beef stew with white rice. Meat was NOT tender. She also said pastel was tastless. The server was rude. I told her my order 3 times and she still got it wrong. 40.00 was over priced. Dont go here if u want authentic PR food. This is NOT the place. Never again will i visit this place. Server was Not PUertoRican either. Smh this place gets a F+
