The Orange Squirrel

Great place. It's in an unlikely part of Bloomfield which is actually one of the things that makes it really cool. Knowledgeable staff. Super casual vibe; the servers and bartenders are chill. The food is simple but still, refined, and always good, every time I've been there. All the pastas are good, and the appetizers are interesting. Small cozy bar. Go.

I love almost everything about this restaurant. The space is a bit cramped for New Jersey but the food makes up for it. If they moved to a bigger space then i would have no complaints. The duck breast is amazing and keeps me returning

Excellent food. Great service. Did not bother with Desert because it was limited in our minds to dirt, a southern desert that we did not want. Its on a bad street in Bloomfield and has limited parking in front of the restaurant but the food is exceptional

They don't take American Express! Fake restaurant. Sad.

Expensive but very good food. I didnt pay I was taken to this restaurant but I still think the price was to high.

We took our mom for Mother's Day brunch. Our party of 6 was totally disappointed. Very small sized meals for a ridiculous price. The place lacks atmosphere and service was mediocre. Food was ok, but completely overpriced for the the quantity. We will never go back. The regular menu was very pricey as well.

Over rated - pot pie looked good but was nothing more than broth with a pastry crust to cover up the fact that there was no substance. Four scallops for $32? Not worth the price. I am glad that I had a gift certficate because I would have been disgusted to pay 100.00 for this waste of a meal. I would never recommend this place and frankly, I am surprised it stays in business when there are so many good choices within a 10 mile radius.

The evening started by arguing over tables. Drink olives with pits followed. When asked why the salad olives were being used we were told it was because the owner only used "organic" ingredients and he would never purchase pitted, stuffed olives. I ordered the lamb shank which appeared to have been of the prepackaged and frozen variety, and the "chef's" rissotto, which was a ball of rice and cheese which had been dyed green...organically of course, I'm sure. Poor food being hocked as quality makes me angry. Add to that the attempt to pressure us into alcohol and the wait staffs obvious epicurean ignorance and public alcohol consumption while on duty make this a restaurant I will not recommend or revisit.

Over priced...was not impressed at all with the food...no seasoning at all in the food,very bland
