Overall great food, atmosphere, and employees! Everything seemed organized and clean! and our server, faith took care of us and made sure to take care of our friend who has a pretty serious peanut allergy, The Cajun Shrimp was delicious and i will definitely be ordering it again. All around great people, affordable food and clean establishment! Also shoutout to whoever keeps those bathrooms clean, There was even and kind employee who held the door open for me!

Zarkeara was our lovely server tonight and she was amazing! She got our food and drinks out to us in record time and she was super polite, never missed a refill and had plenty of suggestions of good food items to try. I really appreciated how much she looked out for my party, ask for her!

Went there with a few friends to celebrate. I ordered the steak with a side a mash potatoes. That was great but the service there was incredible. Being there on Friday during the day was quite pleasant. The Server we had name was Shay and she took her time with us since she was also juggling behind the Bar. It was not even pack inside. The menu had changed but the food is still the same. They now have $4 cocktails 🍸🍹 all day everyday. I never had any problem with this spot. U just have to know the best time to come. Went here for the Monday night football game. They had a DJ playing and karaoke. But only 2 or 3 songs were ever sung. DJ played a great set though. Jason behind the bar was killer. He pretty much had the entire bar and all the tables around it to attend to by himself. Never kept people waiting. Didn’t serve people out of turn. Made good drinks. 10/10 service from Jason. If i lived in the area I’d come back more often just because he worked there.

I wish you could give half stars, as I feel this location deserves more than a 3 but less than a 4. I tried order the turkey avocado club in a wrap, only to be told the cook wasn't good at rolling things to make a wrap or burrito. I appreciate the honesty but maybe the training isn't exactly where it needs to be. After receiving the turkey avocado club, even though my request wasn't able to be honored, the sandwich delivered happened to be a hot chicken sandwich of some sort. Not exactly what it was, but it was REALLY GOOD! The service was good, though the bar area smelled of rotten water or pipes. Not the best when you trying to enjoy a meal.

Unfortunately service is very slow here whether you go to the bar or seated. Also prices have gone up and it's not fine dining. I paid $24 including tax for just an entree sitting at the bar. Recommend you go only during happy hour if you are watching your pockets or go before or after happy hour if you want a better chance of getting the staff to serve you. Food has been consistently ok for the standard and my favorite thing is that it opens until 1am which is hard to find in west orange nj area.

I had great customer service over the phone to place a takeout order but once we got home we were disappointed. I ordered shrimp only for my pasta and the other was regular with chicken and shrimp. The portion size and flavor of the food was not worth the $23 per order.

I know I shouldn’t expect much from a chain restaurant, especially a TGI Fridays. But this place has fallen so much from what it used to be. Food was nothing more than microwave dinner quality, our server was good but he was overwhelmed with too many tables to serve. And not to mention the cost vs the quality of food is doesn’t make sense for what they are charging.

So gloomy when I approached. No service for 10min ordered a cheeseburger platter took forever, one person being hostess, bartender, server. Then fries were luke warm at best, burger average. Won't be rushing back here.

Beautifully decorated for the holidays! However, the service was not great, we waited at least 30 min for our food- pasta, and chicken with fries and the restaurant was not busy at all. When we finally got our food, you can tell it had been sitting for a few minutes as it was lukewarm, but the food was yummy. The waitress did not check in on us after we finally got our food. We had to chase her down to even ask for boxes and the check. The bathroom was deplorable- the floor was so sticky, my sneakers made a loud sound every time I took a step. The toilets were filthy, the toilet paper wasn’t even on the rolls, and you can tell it hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time.

I really appreciate the waiters, they were very friendly and were attentive. But sadly the food was beyond disappointing. I had ordered salmon with a side of mac and cheese the portion size was so small. Burger was burnt and the chicken in the Cajun pasta was not well cooked. I hope they can look into retraining the chefs and have more sizeable portions.

First off We sat down at 4pm and my wife had to get up and look for a server 4:20. She found 1 and took our order. 10 mins. Later our mozzarella sticks as you can see came out in a skillet and the cheese was not even melted on top. 15 mins. After that we finally got a drinks. Then our entrees and we didnt get our shots till before we left. Btw we ordered all of our food and drinks at the same time as soon as we found a server at 4:20.

Well the customer service was not good, there was a guy who I'm sure was an employee eating at the bar, and dancing and singing and kept walking in and out the kitchen. I visited Thursday night around 11 pm and from the moment I went in, no hostess was there to greet so I went straight to the bar and sat myself... I sat at the bar for 5min without being greeted and I was about to leave when finally the bartender showed up. I'm also disappointed that the steak and lobster dish isn't available anymore at TGIFridays, that was the main reason I visited and wasn't happy about it.

I went there around Christmas. They made the interior decorations very inviting. Nothing wrong with my server. However the food was horrible. It says a lot how the chain is going. My rack ribs were mostly bone, with very little meat. My loaded tots in the Level Up Trio tasted like government potato powder. Very sad how this chain is going. You can see the cost cutting.

Hi there! I’ve been coming there for a while now Fridays is definitely a place where you come for some quick apps and drinks. The servers there for some reason can’t get it together. They magnify the idea that someone can’t just stop in there for quick food even if you can’t afford a tip. You can always tell when the attitudes are there for you yesterday I was there getting food and the server had to finish cleaning off my table by putting on other silverware for the next day because he was leaving, rushed me out of there by telling me there’s no rush, but kept asking me and clearing my table when I wasn’t finished this just shows the passive aggressiveness. It’s just a meal, but I cannot pay for a meal if the servers are rude And I’m not ready to leave yet I hope to expect better things from my home place.

They have roaches. Management was very rude and did not care. She asked me what you want me to do about it. She also informed me that I will still be charged. I’m honestly disgusted. Usually i go to the bar after work 2-3 times a week. I've been going to it for nearly 2 months now. Every other time the drinks were made the way I asked perfectly. Muddle raspberry and mint margarita. I ordered it 3 times in the particular day; first time it was not made correctly. I'll forgive. 2nd time the same thing, I can let it slide. 3rd time I communicated muddled raspberry and mint once more. But it did not go as expected. Some people are particular about food I'm particular about my drinks. I might have been caught in a off day but thus the reason I'm writing. Zakiyyah waa my server today at TGIFriday its like she was not happy we came to the place. She was rude and didn't seem to care about providing good service. After I had my first 2 2 drinks, I ordered another drink I waited for 20 minutes, during which she kept passing by me and my partner without acknowledging us. When I finally asked about the drink, she told me, "I'm not the one making your drink; there's nothing I can do." We go to TGI Friday to enjoy our meal, not to be treated as if we have overstayed our welcome. This isn’t just a complaint—I want to share my experience. When I asked for the check, Zakiyyah came, dropped it on the table, and later returned with the change without a receipt, and dropped the change on the table again failing to apologize for the long wait or her bad and slow service. We also ordered fries, which were too salty. After informing her about it, she didn't bring us a replacement until we asked her again. If this is the kind of service TGI Friday provides, they risk losing customers. I used to be a frequent visitor, but after this experience, I don’t think I’ll be returning. The service was poor.

Absolutely horrible experience. We were not greeted properly or seated, instead a server yelled from far across the room & told us to come to him. The atmosphere was very disturbing, the workers were yelling and cursing the entire time we were there. They did not offer us any help. They also told us “there is no dishwasher so we don’t have silverware, I don’t know what to tell y'all”. We were literally left to fend for ourselves. I will never visit this location again. I also called prior to arriving to make sure the kitchen was open and we could dine in, I was told that the kitchen closed at 1 AM just for me to arrive and then to say we could only have takeout and eat it at the restaurant because there is no dishwasher there. They were all extremely rude & loud. I have never experienced something like this at a dining establishment in my life. Extremely disappointed, they need some serious training.

Just don't use any cutlery. Literally all 11 of our forks and knives had food on it. Dont get the dragon salmon. They charge 21 dollars for a small sliver. They think they are some 5 star restaurant in Manhattan I guess. The manager was not in the least bit helpful. You can see from the photo it's all rice and broccoli that youre really ordering. From the moment we walked in, the entire place reeked like an old portable potty — it was honestly nauseating. On the way to the to-go area, the floors were unbelievably sticky. We literally heard our shoes peeling off the ground with every step. It was so bad there were towels scattered across the restaurant floor, like they were trying to soak up who-knows-what. To make matters worse, our to-go order was missing the basic essentials: no utensils, no napkins, and none of the sauce we specifically asked for. How does a restaurant forget that? This location in West Orange just reopened after being closed for years — but honestly, it should’ve stayed shut. At this point, the whole place needs to be closed down again and the entire sewage system redone. It’s clear that hygiene, service, and basic maintenance are not a priority here. Avoid at all costs.

Service is slow and the workers seem miserable. No greetings. Also the manager came over to my tabe and said do not share. He was referring to the mozzarella cheese sticks. BTW the person I was with ordered the plant based burger. Unlikely that he was eating cheese sticks. .

2025 update: senior mgmt should check in on this spot. There is no mgmt now, filthy bar, inattentive staff, cold food. All around loss. Very unfortunate The food isn't that flavorful but the bartender and manager are super friendly. They really should have all day happy hour on Fridays!!

When we first got there the hostess didn't give us a good welcoming vibe.. we waited for a few and she sat us down. The waiter he came by with no water in his hands.. came introduce himself and take our orders... One of the drink they didn't have the the stuff to make it so he bring the regular long island ice tea, and we also got a mudslide... We waited for awhile and we got the drinks.. they wasn't too bad.. they were ok... nothing to brag about. So he brings us the food.. I had the fish and chips, the cheddar soup, and my husband had the ribs and shrimp combo.. the food came out cold.. my mash potatoes and the rice were barely warm.. they were stiff.. and the soup barely warm.. the food tasted nasty...the only thing on my plate that was warm was the fish. My husband plate broccoli was cold and the mashed potatoes was stiff as a board.. the ribs were ok. We unfortunately ate the food then payed for it. The food was $77 and some change and we gave him $80 and plus we gave the waiter a $10 tip.. he didn't come back with the change.. if we had known we wouldn't have give him $10. I will never go back to this Friday even if it is free. One more thing I asked the waiter for a glass of water during the time we were paying for our meals.. he never came back with the water.. I didn't ask again.. we just left.

JAMALIA THE SERVER WITH ATTITUDE and a RUDE DEMEANOR!!! On October 21, 2023 !!!!I had a terrible experience at this restaurant! Do believe the reviews, they are accurate and I should’ve listened. The waitress was rude and unhelpful , sighing at every order and her demeanor could tell it all. Customer service sucks , she wasn’t pleasant & whenever you placed another order she would sigh and put her hand on her hips and gives attitude . It wasn’t just our table she did it too, the table behind us she did the same thing to them. Also the service is EXTREMELY SLOW !! So I guess she have the right to be overwhelmed 🙆🏽‍♀️ but no that’s not how u treat customers and if you’re unable to be customer oriented and exercise a calm and patient demeanor while working under pressure then QUIT!!!! U OBVIOUSLY HATE YOUR JOB AND I HOPE U SEE THIS . It was my friends birthday and you ruined it with bad service we ended up not even getting dessert . Just wanted to be out to how bad it was , I don’t wanna feel as though I’m bothering someone to spend my money. FYI: I gave her $85 and the bill was $84 and some change . U didn’t deserve any tip at all. Yall need to step it up. Disappointing !!

My Waitress was amazing but the food was disgusting. We had to send back the food because the food came out cold. seems like they had frozen food and just out it in the microwave to heat it up.

Food cold. Bar tender had attitude and food is over priced and Im not that fussy. Food tasted like TV dinner. Worst meal in years snd I was on a business trip and charged company so at least not out of my pocket

I do not recommend this place at all, we ordered a Caesar salad with steak and the steak was burnt and smelled very bad, my sister had a very strong smell, almost pretty. And the lettuce was not fresh, the dish was very unpleasant. and I ordered a NY steak, the meat was burnt on top and had a strong smell, the broccoli had an unpleasant smell, I don't understand why this place is still standing. I paid 40 dollars for my dish. And my sister's did not pay because she had a strong and disgusting smell. I would not recommend this place to anyone. If I were the manager of the restaurant I would be very disappointed by the food they offer. In addition to that, the utensils were very dirty. and the sticky floor.

It wasn't so much about the price of the food. My issue was with the staff. Our waitress was really unprofessional with complying with customer's request. I lost my appetite trying to deal with her, left our group and stayed at the bar until the group was ready to leave.

Service was absolutely terrible. Wait staff doesnt seem to care about anything which is just ridiculous. The music playing was ghetto trash that im sure wouldnt be appropriate around children or approved by corporate. Now for the food. Im pretty sure Hellen Keller could cook a better burger and potato skins than the cook they have. Ive never seen something so burnt in my life. Just over all terrible experience. Also, potato skins shouldnt have a slice of cheese on it. It should be shredded but its obvious they dont care in there.

I had an extremely disappointing experience, will absolutely never return. From the moment we were seated, our waitress gave off the energy that she did not want to serve us. We tried to be polite and even uplift her mood, but her attitude never changed. We waited nearly two hours for our food. Someone else brought our drinks, and they even managed to get that wrong , we asked for regular water and were served sparkling water instead. When we politely informed our original waitress, she seemed annoyed rather than apologetic. Our waitress disappeared for most of the night, sending other staff members to bring our food. Every time we tried to wave her down, we were ignored. We even had to ask the person delivering our food to call our waitress because we couldn’t get her attention. When the food finally arrived after over an hour of waiting the plates were scorching hot to the point you couldn’t even touch them. Yet somehow, the food itself was cold. I ordered a medium-well burger and received an overcooked, dry burger. One of my guests ordered pasta, and it tasted like day-old leftovers. We sent it back, and my guest refused to order anything else because the experience had already ruined his appetite. Another order came out wrong, and when it was corrected, it was brought back with clear attitude. The waitress loudly listed the “missing ingredients” in a tone that felt like, “Here, take it and stop complaining.” To make matters worse, some of their signature drinks were missing ingredients listed on the menu. We were there at 10 PM, and the restaurant doesn’t close until 2 AM, so there was no excuse for the lack of quality or preparation. The atmosphere was just as unpleasant. People near us were openly vaping and blowing smoke while others were trying to eat. The bar crowd seemed to receive far better service than table guests. People who were seated after us got their food before we did. We also ordered a side dish that never came, yet it still appeared on our bill which we had to dispute. When it was time to pay, things became even more unprofessional. We asked to split the bill, and instead of handling it properly at the table, our waitress went behind the bar and yelled across the restaurant, pointing at us: “It’s y’all three on one, right?” That was completely inappropriate and embarrassing. There was no reason to shout our business across the room. The food was so unpleasant that none of us took more than a few bites. It was a complete waste of money and their prices are not cheap. The entire experience was lacking: service, quality, professionalism, and atmosphere. Honestly, I should have taken the hint when we walked in on a Saturday night and the place was nearly empty. That should have been the first red flag. This place has definitely lost its touch. I will not be returning.

Came to eat out with my man and although it says they close at 1am when we arrived we were told by a male employee that he ‘thinks?the floor is closed’. He proceeds to look over to his coworker and ask and she was completely confused if they were still seating people. After a few minutes he comes back to tell me the floor is closed. I asked if the kitchen was open, he says yes but only for takeout. I’m so confused when there was such a little bit of people still seated and it saying they close at 1am. I’ve been to other locations at a later time so picking and choosing when to close up early shows a lack of customer service. 0/10

Arrived at noon to an almost empty restaurant. Waited about 10 min before I had to go to the back to find any employee to tell them we’re waiting to be sat. We were finally seated, and they sat us next to a door. It was freezing out, so we asked if we could move, and he let out an audible sigh, like we were asking him to perform open heart surgery. Afterwards, we waited for 15 min and no one even came to see us. Again, there were maybe 6 people in the entire restaurant. While we were doing this, another customer was waiting for their check for about 20 min. We just got up and left I get servers call out, and restaurants might not have enough staff (I’ve been a server for a while, been there), but this was very bad

I took my 5yr old niece here on 12/24. And asked hey do yall still celebrate birthdays they said yes.she asked me what kind of dessert. I also asked my sever same answer yes . I understand they might have been short staffed it’s a day before the the holiday. But they didn’t even bring out the dessert even though I kept mentioning it. The server gave the check it said happy birthday. So she didn’t forget ! My niece was singing happy Birthday to herself. And we joined her . Very disappointed will not be returning and will be contacting corporate

If I didn't have to hit a star 🙄probably wouldn't have...We sat for a minute (20-25) in the bar area before we were actually greeted, ordered our drinks which BTW we never got 🫤 finally we ordered appetizers and food 🤦🏾‍♀️ let's just say that that particular one shouldn't be shut down immediately there were about 10-12 guest in the entire place yet we never received our drinks besides what looked to be tap water..I asked for hot water to sterilize my silverware and it was room temperature for a lack of better words..My spinach dip was decent but that CAJUN CHK& SHRIMP Alfredo not only was it dry it actually looked like it had set in the window for 5 hours 😒I decided to send it back but figured I'd take it home and dress it up..the pasta was stuck together (overcooked) best thing inside of the dish was the red peppers you guys should be ashamed of yourselves for thinking that any of that special night for me my bday smmfh was anywhere near what TGIF represents...if I ever decide to ever go back to FRIDAYS I CROSS My HEART and HOPE to LIVE it will never be in West Orange N.J ...Sad to say ONLY where I Live will you experience service like that..

I ask a customer what was their order. I order the same and did not receive the same thing at all. Also my chicken was not cooked well at all and shrimp nothing looked grilled about my order at all. I had the grilled cajun and shrimp alfredo pasta. Manager came telling me it was the same it wasn't. Instead of offering me a better dish. She didnt she just said ok left nothing resolved .Waiter was on point. He gave me good service from the beginning Good server. Food wasn't at all. Won't be coming back at all.

We walked in and waited 15 mins to be seated. Once seated its took another 15 mins to get a server. Once a waitress finally came over we ordered an app and broccoli soup. A few mins later another waitress comes over and said she will be our new waitress. Kinda of confusing but it is ok. The app came out and instead of broccoli soup we get streamed broccoli brought to us. We immediately said we ordered soup this is not correct. When the dumpling app came out we were given no utensils or plates. We ate the app with our hands. The waitress was completely clueless. Then the burger and fish and chips came out. The fish and chips were raw and undercooked and the burger looked nothing like the advertised pictures and was cold. Especially the bun. I can get a better tasting burger at a McDonald’s. When the manager was told he came over after a few mins didn’t introduce himself with his first name but to just say he’s one of the managers. He credited us the 2 main courses and asked how the service was. When we told him how it was from start to finish he kept shaking his head in disbelief and walked away. Not even an apology for how bad the service or food was. The least they could have done was not charge us for the 2 soft drinks and app we ate with our hands and raw food. This place has really gone down hill. We will not be returning here. The lack of care for there customers and the quality of food is complete garbage. This is not how any business should be ran.

Food, salty, overcooked chicken and fries from the bottom of the tray sizes half an inch to about inch inch and a half long. Service, very unprofessional and unfriendly no greeting when arrived At the bar area took 20 minutes to get my attention. Charge me $13.99 for a meal that was priced at 10:99. Asked for a glass of water at the end, but never received even waiting For good five minutes. Atmosphere, he needs a lot of attention outside and inside. I am surprised at TGI Friday. Not going back.

Would actually rate this place 0 stars if I could. The food is absolutely disgusting and tastes nothing like it used to taste. The quality of their food went to hell. I ordered the ribs with mashed potatoes and garlic butter broccoli. First of all the ribs tasted like old low quality meat and the broccoli was just steamed-- no garlic or butter on them. Our appetizer was the whiskey glazed chicken bites and they were hard as a rock. My daughter ordered the kids sliders, the patties were burnt to shreds. We asked for another order of sliders that's LESS overcooked and received even MORE burnt sliders after waiting 20 minutes for it. There was a roach near the bathroom that my husband killed as he walked past. Overall this place is a mess and I will NEVERRRR come here again. And yes I spoke with manager and he basically said he has no excuse for anything I mentioned and comped almost everything on my bill. Shut this place down already!
