We’ve been coming to The Dog House for over 10years and we’ll continue 10 years from now. The All-you-can-eat fries are awesome when raising two boys! Ha ha Captain Davey’s next door or great too!
I went here this past Saturday for work with my clients and co worker. The staff were friendly and kind. Nice view of the bay when sitting outside. I got a veggie hot dog with cheese fries and they were delicious! This was my first time here and I'll definitely be back for more. Very accommodating and super sweet employees.
I have been coming to the dog house since I was 4 and it’s still amazing! Prices are reasonable for amazing burgers, and some dogs. But the fries are so amazing, they are my favorite fries EVER, just make sure to put salt on them, and they have a bunch of sauces you can try too. Another bonus is that fries get free refills with burgers or dogs! Definitely check them out after a beach day. Lots of outside seating, it’s awesome when it’s sunny, and so fun for the kiddos.
I needed a burger & a beer BADLY… this place satisfied that need and then some. AMAZING BURGER, FRIENDLY STAFF & BEAUTIFUL VIEW. what more could you ask for?! Special shout out to the girl working that subbed my fries for onion rings. sooooooo good.
The Dog House is always an Amazing treat...the dogs are the best on the coast! So the next time you're out fishing and you intentionally leave that bologna sandwich your wife made for you...the night before! at home stop by The Dog House, everything on the menu is perfect. 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆
Great burgers and fries. This spot has great burgers and all you can eat fries. It's owned and operated by locals, and often times frequented by locals as well. You order the burger and it's cooked fresh, and you put on the fixings. The staff is friendly. The price is slightly high, but in the context of the surrounding area it's actually pretty good, especially considering you get all you can eat fries. $25 or so for a fill meal for two is a good deal out there. It's not particularly healthy food, but it's exactly what you'd expect from a burger joint.
The best burgers and fries for many many miles around. The ultimate American experience on 4th of July. A true Americana. Generous and very hospitable owners. Unlimited fries. 😀 Made Son Happy.
What a great burger joint! Hand made patty on a hoagie roll and my son's chicken looked hand dipped as well. Hand cut fries, all you can eat, are excellent. Super friendly staff as well. Will be our go to stop from now on as we pass through Bodega on the way to Manchester.
After driving by this place many times, Boyfriend and I finally tried it last weekend, and are thinking of going back this weekend too. I saw another review that said this is a great little local spot, not a tourist spot, and I completely agree. I mean, who comes to Bodega Bay for burgers, hot dogs, and fries instead of clam chowder? The spot is tucked away near Fishetarian, a realtor's office, and right next door to a small espresso/ice cream place. There are a few tables outside, a few small tables inside, and a small counter you can eat at that faces the window. They have lots of old-timey hot dog themed signs on the walls. Everything on the menu comes with UNLIMITED hand cut fries, which was the first reason I wanted to come here. Boyfriend and I both ordered the half-pound burger and I was going to order a side of onion rings, but the nice girl at the counter suggested swapping one of our sides for onion rings, since the fries are unlimited anyway. The burgers come on hot dog buns, so they shape the hamburger patties to match. Boyfriend and I agree that it is very clever and a good way to stand out. When our orders were ready, we proceeded to the condiments counter. The burgers (and presumably the hot dogs too) come with just meat in a bun, and you add the toppings yourself. They have lots of sauces: ketchup, mustard, deli mustard, thousand island, ranch, and probably a few others I've forgotten. They also have tomatoes, lettuce, sliced onions, pickles. I love the idea of adding the toppings yourself so you can get exactly what you want. The burgers were delicious and perfectly cooked. A little bit pink in the middle and a little bit drippy when you bite into it. The onion rings probably came from a frozen bag but those were really good too. Crispy and with a smooth outside. The fries were yummy and thick, a little bit squishy like most hand cut fries are. We rationed the onion rings but went hard on the fries, finishing off a second basket before we left. Boyfriend was impressed that, when we asked for foil to cover our leftovers, they gave us heavy duty foil. Our meal came out to about $30. We will definitely be going here on a regular basis.
You know you’re at a good joint when the owner is joyfully roaming around enjoying the customers, both local and those on vacation. The steak sandwich and bottomless is phenomenal! Tourist locations are supposed to all be stuffy right? Wrong

The beyond veggie sausage was amazing! The french fries and zesty sauce was top notch 🤌🏻
My partner and I have been driving through bodega bay for years and we've never stopped here until today. Wow, are we happy we did! I was going to get a garden burger, which is always a safe bet for me, but I changed at the last minute to a Carolina chili coleslaw dog and it was so delicious! The fries were amazing too. Very friendly people at the counter. We'll definitely be back soon!
Loved the onion rings! Delicious food, expensive meal purchased items separately as nothing comes with anything. The servings were generous and the hot dog jumbo, on a roll. Many condiments to put on your burger, dog, etc. The service was friendly, too. However, they talked LOUDLY and I was sitting inside reading while I ate. I would have been a strain to hold a conversation with someone. There are a few tables and counter to sit at. Parking is limited. Prepared for the cost, I'd definitely eat there again.

a great place to get a dog or burger & fries which seems funny in a seaside town. I’ve been here a few times- definitely not a glamorous spot but decent enough and there are views of the Bodega marsh. I was pleased there were veggie options and ordered the veggie dog which was quite tasty. The fries were very good- if only I had known there are free refills on the fries- how cool is that?!
I'm here at the dog house now, and I just had a salmon burger which is excellent! That's the second time I've had one. They also have all you can eat fries with the skins on which are absolutely great! A little hole-in-the-wall that one of my best eating places in Bodega Bay and won't cost an arm and a leg either!
The last time I had The Dog House was in 2019 as I make it a point to drop by whenever I’m in Bodega Bay. I start with a coffee shake from Captain Daveys next door then come over for a hot link and a dog with fries. At the time, fries were all you can eat, I’m not sure if that’s the same as of writing this in October 2021. Fries are fresh whole potato’s that are chopped and fried all in one space. The food is great, bathrooms are typically clean and a big space. The only slight tick to the rating is just the parking lot, once packed, is hard to find parking as there’s other places including a post office in the plaza. Also depending on the day (mostly weekends), it can get pretty busy and packed. However, that’s a good thing for the business that I love. Check them out!
Great variety of dogs, great service from a walk up window. The nice guy got our order right and the food was hot and delicious. Few tables but great views.

ordered a bratwurst with fries and a diet coke ( $16.00) WAY TOO PRICEY) BUN WAS DRY AND FELL APART . I know that this is a tourist place but come on!! $12,00 for a hot dog I've been eating many times here since I live nearby This will be the last time that I will dine here... go to Spud Point and get some devious chowder...

Was not impressed. Everything is from costco, just heated up. Nothing is special. Chili is the kind from a can.... wayyyyyy too expensive. Spent $28 for a chili cheese dog and some "animal" fries.... spilt it with my husband because who would spent $56 on that for two ppl?! Super disappointed and feel like we wasted money...

Pricey for a place with such lack of hygiene. They do not use any gloves while handling the food. You can see everything as it’s right behind the counter. Each time the cook’s hands directly touched the raw meat, buns, and fries, my appetite dwindled further. They place the raw ground beef on the same counter top where they chop everything else. We ended up with a $140 bill for 4 burgers / fries, and chicken tenders. The taste was beyond underwhelming. The buns fall apart, the meat is flavorless, the fries aren’t any better. While I can look past the lack of taste, the way the food is handled HAS to be violating some sort of rule.
Place looks like a dump, and the food is terrible. I got a hot dog and it might have been the saltiest one I have ever had. The bun was decent though. The fries were so incredibly dry and bland. Weirdly, ketchup didn't even help them. I am always disgusted by free-for-all condiments. Everyone touching everything, dirty kids touching things, nothing sanitized. The only good things about the place was the friendly staff and that they have all the toppings one could want. My daughter and I had the same feelings after eating--we weren't full, yet we can't stomach anything else. It's like McDonalds. Just left us feeling icky. Also they closed at like 6pm--wth? A hot dog, 6 chicken strips, dry fries with shredded cheese microwaved on them, and a bottle of water from costco was over $40. Ludicrous.
