Good coffee spot in Duncans Mills. The place also seems make their own baked goods on premise. I think I might have even seen a separate building behind the shop where they were roasting coffee. All in all - good coffee and pastries. Only complaints were that the coffee making can get a little backed up during prime times. Savory breakfast sandwiches would also be great. The place also makes pizza’s which I didn’t try, but looked good. Worth a visit if you’re in the area.
Always delicious coffee and pastries! First of all- there's going to be a wait. It's a popular place but well worth it. I always get Mexican mocha , and it is my favorite. NIt's not too spicy and not too sweet. I've tried most of the pastries over the years, and they are always excellent. Personal favorites are apple pecan rolls and the cinnamon roll (with cream cheese frosting). They also sell pizza and smoothies. There is a beautiful patio out back to relax on, and the bathroom is well maintained.
I’m from Germany and moved to the states. I missed good pastries and I have to say I his place has the best and freshest pastries I’ve ever tasted. The coffee is out of the world too. The go bananas is a special amazing treat. Thank you for those amazing pastries, the friendly service and the great coffee
This place is always a wonderful enhancement to our drives to the coast! We have brought out-of-town visitors here many times, and they love it! I especially appreciate the half-price baked goods the last hour of their workday.
I’m gluten sensitive, but decided to take a chance on the bear claw since it was organic. It was like heaven. Best I’ve had, wish they shipped. The latte was best we’ve had also ☕️ we joke about vacationing there again just for this bakery-coffee shop.
My wife and I were driving through, and were recommended to visit this cafe. And we were not disappointed! The coffee here is flavorful, balanced, organic and roasted in-house. We had a cappuccino, which was amazing! Also, the scones we had were delicious - their pastries are made in-house in a wood-fire oven. Definitely stopping by this little gem when we come back.
If you are in the area, heading to Jenner, or near Guerneville, this is a must go. The pastries are amazing. We've had both the sweet and the savory. Our go to savory is the Pesto and Turkey and the the Ham and cheese. My partner and I usually get one of each and share. We also love the Apple Pecan Rolls and the Cinnamon rolls (they are big!). We usually get their ice coffee or Espresso straight. They roast their own coffee beans, so you know it's not your chain coffee place. They have some indoor seating area and they have a cute back patio that makes you feel like your in the woods. There are a lot of birds that hang out, they are friendly... a little too friendly.
Good coffee, delicious bakery items, and friendly staff with a cool backyard seating area
Super charming coffee and pastry shop. They also sell pizza by the slice. We were staying in the area for a week and stopped at this place nearly every day. The patio in the back is super cute and charming.
Where to start?! everything is just amazing. The strawberry pin wheel is to die for. I'm in love with this place! From the pastries and coffee, to the outside sitting! in love
Best sticky bun ever. Ham and cheese croissant with mustard is my favorite too. Love that I can order an extra spicy Chai. Beautiful patio with black birds and hummingbirds. Staff are super nice. We went almost every morning while staying on the river.
The best breakfast pastries I've had hands down. I always look forward to a cup of dark roast "Jump Up" coffee and a savory galette.
Best coffee, the use organic flower in all the baked goods
The coffee here is some of the best I have ever had rich, smooth and creamy. I wish I lived here so I could have it every day. The baked goods are also so good. Great cookies, danish and the cinnamon rolls are the bomb. Highly recommend!!!!!!!!! Wish we could have stayed for the BBQ and pizza.
Best Cappuccino, dark strong shot topped with perfect fine bubble foam Their pastries and cookies are good enough to override any calorie counting, you gotta have two.
I'm not a coffee connesouier but the raspberry hazelnut coffee was incredibly smooth and perfectly blended! Highly recommend as the food is fresh made daily, not frozen. Try the ginger molasses cookies or huge cinnamon rolls. Pizza is outstanding.
Stopped by on the way from Jenner to Russian River and was positively surprised! Coffee was excellent and the pastries were lovely as well. The peanut butter chocolate chip cookie was rich and decadent, while the fruit tart was flaky and crispy in just the right ways. Day old pastries are 50% off too! Highly recommended!
Ordered a cheese pizza and it was soooo good. The coffee shop is cute and cozy inside. In the back, they have a beautiful veranda with vibrant flowers. Sat outside and the coffee shop’s cat came to sit with us!
It was so good that I came back again a few hours later and their amazing staff remembered my name despite a busy weekend with tons of customers! Enjoyed a next-level bear claw pastry (ended up buying more it was so good) and later came back for an incredible pepperoni pizza for lunch! Be prepared for a line in the morning, but don’t worry it genuinely moves fast and is well worth your time! Would highly recommend and Lots of outdoor seating with a lovely ambience! Not much indoor. I’ll definitely be back there soon!:)
Three words: Oh M G! The pastries are to die for! We came here two days back to back. We drove out of our way just for this place. The baked goods are made daily so this makes it all so fresh and yummy. We had the mocha latte and cubano latte, very well made, and the cinnamon roll with the cream on top… absolutely amazing. I also enjoyed their beautiful garden, very serene with colorful flowers and perfect for your morning coffee.
I dont know ow if it gets any more "small town" than this. from the old school roaster to the brick oven pizza, to see this place still moving old school was awesome! the atmosphere is "chill". if I had to ask something be added, breakfast sandwiches lol. like good ole bacon, egg, and cheese croissant sandwiches.
This is an amazing find in this area. Pastries were phenomenal and the back patio is gorgeous. We tried the strawberry pinwheel, chocolate croissant, turkey pesto, cinnamon bun, and the peachy thing. Phenomenal.
Got to try this bakery and Woodfired pizza place on our trip to Cazadero during Xmas time. Great spot with an outdoor patio and is dog friendly. Great varieties of both sweet and savory and great coffee. We ordered cinnamon roll, pear danish, scone, bear claw, and a savory ham and cheese. The portion size of each of them is good. We loved the cinnamon roll and the Danish the most.
Strong Coffee with Deliciously Fresh Strawberry filled Scones, filled with families, tourists from Germany, gorgeous wildflowers in wilderness. Wonderful dining experience.
What a wonderful little coffee shop! Stopped here with my boyfriend on our way out to Goat Rock, and the little deck area behind the front of the building is so cozy and cute! Solid coffee and wicked good pastries (the blueberry scone is a must-have, but everything is well worth trying). The local wildlife is very friendly and will definitely try to sneak a bite if you aren't careful (can't blame them, to be honest)! We got the Award Winning Coffee, Thai Iced Tea, Cinnamon Roll and Blueberry Scone; I'm very excited to visit again soon!
Coffee was excellent. Service and staff were very good, friendly and pretty fast. Nice patio out back with plenty of seating. Bathroom was clean. The cinnamon roll was unbelievable. Highly recommended!
Love this place! If you’re riding out on the coast you have to stop by Duncan Mills into Gold Coast coffee for some joe and a bakery to brag about. Better get some to go with or you’ll be sorry you didn’t later. Trust me on this one. The have pretty good pizza on Friday & Saturday’s too.
Do Not Miss This! Such great pastries, coffee and people. The Cubano Latte was on point with just the right sugar and cream. The persimmon and cranberry scone was soooo good. We are coming back for the oven baked pizza later this week.

They have an 8 inch pizza that is absolutely delicious. The staff was very nice very polite and I enjoy eating my lunch there.
Really fun, old West look to the place. Lots of wood furnishings. I went first for a lemon scone and molasses-ginger cookie. The scone was delicious, but the cookie was really stellar. It wasn't too sweet, was huge, and had little pieces of candied ginger that gave it delightful texture! I had to go back for my morning coffee the next day. I noticed all the line men and county workers were parked outside, I guess they know where to go right? I got coffee and a strawberry scone this time; just as good as the blueberry. My only disappointment was that I was too early for the cookies to be out. If you're passing through, this is a middle-of-the-city kind of bakery in the middle of nowhere that's really worth the stop!
Amazing self roasted coffee and so tasty pastries! Plus super friendly and loving owner and staff.
The cinnamon bun looks just ok but easily one of the best ones I’ve ever had. Soft center, crunchy sugary outside, cream cheese frosting. The scone was amazing too. Good coffee but not experts so take that with a grain of salt. Outdoor seating area is so lovely.

Did they really sell me day old cinnamon roll at 7:30am? As a Monte Rio local, I look forward to this delicious and unique wood fired treasure. Whenever I host guests, my special treat of love comes from this bakery. I’ll try again soon, but I’ll ask to be sure it’s fresh from the day.
Love their cinnamon rolls! A bit expensive - about 6.50- but they are worth every penny! A beautiful drive toward the ocean...when is the last time you were there? ⚓ treat yourself to an awesome cinnamon roll and coffee then find your zen at the coast. Perfect way to start your morning!
On the way to guerneville we stop by this beautiful coffee and bakery place in Duncan's Mill's. This place is really beautiful. Has indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor patio is located in back side and really Food 5/5 - All bakery item was looking delicious they use organic flour.. We had few scone, pastry and coffee. Best pastry's I've ever had. I like blueberry scone the most after the pastry. Atmosphere 5/5 - It’s was slow in December but I guess that’s another reason I was able to enjoy the patio area with coffee. Lots of parking space available. Restroom was not cleaned I guess due to it was common for that block. Also 1 less star for hospitality. Not saying that I was not entertained, but staff should be more welcoming.
Good coffee. Nice selection of pastries. Only two people ahead of me in line and it took 45 min. to get my one cappuccino and blueberry scone which was not warmed. Would have given three stars but they provide a restroom and a lovely back patio area worth the extra star.

coffee is excellent. the pastry is beyond delicious. the attitude? over the top! look out for the overly tanned, leathery hippie. she gave us the stink eye as soon as we walked in. maybe it was my smile or my non-white husband? maybe she needed the money since she asked for a fiver for the $3 bottle of water? we'll never know...
Very good coffee and friendly barista! 5 stars for her! I loved the wonderful backyard sitting area with the water structure and birds. Unfortunately, the bakery clerk on the morning of 7/16 was really gruff to the point of rudeness. I wondered, what side of the bed did she wake up on??
Nice place but coffee is over roasted with a bitter end taste. Excess of milf foam in the Cappuccino. Americans should learn with Italians how to properly roast coffee and baristas should be trained how to make a real cappuccino.
Very friendly. Latte was great and very hot. Baked goods were ok. Line on Sunday took about 20-30 min. Nice outdoor patio in back. Takes card and cash.

Absolutely disgusting pizza, worst I have had in many years. Avoid pizza. Maybe baked goods are ok.
Stopped at Golf Coast Coffee & Bakery on my way home from Jenner, and it was a really disappointing experience. I ordered a latte that was served scalding hot in a cup without a sleeve—when it burned my hand and spilled, no one offered to help or even give me napkins. The barista just watched, which felt incredibly uncaring. Definitely not a pleasant stop and I wouldn’t recommend this place.
