I believe this is the best Ruben I've ever had. Tight, not sloppy. Flavorful, not flavorless. And the penini pressed rye is next level.

The cafe has a wonderful selection. There are picnic items (including wine), an extensive sandwich menu, an espresso bar, breakfast items (including a delicious breakfast burrito), and some merchandise. The staff was super friendly and the decor and setting could not be more perfect. The laid back atmosphere with outdoor seating near the river enticed us to stay awhile. I may have found my new favorite cafe!

Bloody mary special hits! Would recommend the reuben and the pastrami.

Ordered the chicken salad and tuna salad with a black drip coffee. It was great! My friend got the mushroom panini and was still talking about it on the car ride home. 😍 bummed I forgot the take photos!

This place is amazing so cute right by the Russian river there’s a brewery next-door and it’s a casual deli with coffee really cute patio. I definitely would go back again.

Great sandwiches on homemade focaccia bread! Their take home dinners are also excellent (Sheppard's pie or ziti last I went)

The best place on the river to stop for a delicious sandwich and a cold beer

The staff are so friendly and the coffee is perfect! I haven't had the best luck with food here, but I've only had 2 things. Biscuits and gravy are my favorite breakfast, but the gravy here was sour - like buttermilk maybe? Anyway, I couldn't eat it, but that didn't stop me from going back! The ambiance is awesome and the set up is cozy and appealing.

Literally made the best sandwich I have ever eaten in my entire life. I live two hours away and I am considering driving all the way back again just to get one. Customer service was great, the view was beautiful, and atmosphere was wonderful!

On our trip to guerneville, we wanted to visit this place mostly because of the patio sitting close to the river but when rains and strong winds decided to ruin our plans, the staff warmly welcomed us and our pup inside and after the entire trip mainly centered around food, I can safely say this is the best restaurant or food I've had there. The menu is scattered so make sure to read all options before ordering but I'm sure you won't have buyers remorse even if you do. How can a simple deli be this good? Idk. Just get everything on the menu haha, specially pesto. Extremely pup friendly, amazing staff and ofcourse gorgeous location. They do use the same champagne as korbel so id say skip mimosas if you're going to korbel next (like us) but honestly, can we have enough mimosas?

There were cozy seating areas throughout the building, including a deck with a view of the Russian River. There was a nice selection of breakfast and lunch items, as well as wine, beers, and other drinks. Service was quick, and the coffee was great.

One of my favorite places to visit and eat when I stay in Guerneville. The food and coffee is yummy, the views are unmatched, and everyone who works there is so friendly. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

Great new Deli & Coffee shop. This place really has done a great job capturing that old farmhouse barn wood atmosphere. The deli is well stocked and delicious. Got a couple sandwiches and they were great. The potato salad had a fun hint of rosemary. We also took home a beef stroganoff for diner and it was really out of this world. Warm and friendly staff really make this place stand out. Plenty of room to sit and enjoy lunch or even just a coffee looking at views of the Russian River. Great job guy's, keep up the fantastic work!

We had a absolutely wonderful visit to The Farmhouse. This was our first time to come and see this wonderful hidden gem along the Russian river. To get to the resturant we took a lovely road in from 101, it had beautiful views of the local wineries and endless vineyards as far as the eye could see. The restaurant is very vibrant from the road and very easy to spot! All workers were very courteous to us, they answered every question that we asked regardless if it was about food or the area in general. The place was very extremely clean and tidy. There was a fantastic selection of food at the deli, they also have a cafe with pastries. I ordered a Hot Pastrami sandwich and my husband ordered a Rueben Panini. We each ordered a side to go with our sandwich, his was potato salad, and I had the beets with goat cheese. There are quite a few places that you can sit and eat your food inside as well as outside. We chose to eat at the tables outside on the river side, eat table has a umbrella that you can roll up and tilt to escape out of the sun if you want. I highly recommend that you check out this restaurant, you will not be disappointed!

This place gets 5 stars for location. The most peaceful setting ever out the back overlooking the river. Sit and watch the birds and listen to all the beautiful birdsong. Added extra is that the good came quickly and tasted good too.

I was visiting with my family and Jewels was our server, and she was absolutely amazing. Super friendly, welcoming, and full of great vibes from start to finish. She made us feel genuinely cared for, not just served. Honestly, the kind of service that makes you want to come back to the restaurant just to be treated that way again. Absolutely delicious, garden fresh sandwiches from a quaint farm-stand shop and served on an outside patio overlooking the river. Will eat here every time I visit the area.

The Farmhand in Guerneville isn’t just a café—it’s basically a gourmet hug disguised as a sandwich shop. I ordered a sandwich so stacked it looked like it was training for a strongman competition. I’m pretty sure it was taller than my nephew and had more layers than my last relationship. The vibe inside is “rustic chic meets cozy cabin,” which means you’ll feel both cooler and hungrier the moment you walk in. The baked goods? Flaky enough to collapse your self-control in 0.2 seconds. The coffee? Strong enough to convince me I could finally start that novel, build a treehouse, AND become mayor of Guerneville all before lunch. The staff are basically culinary therapists—they hand you food that makes your problems disappear, at least until you run out of sandwich. Then you just order another one, because that’s self-care. Final verdict: The Farmhand is less a place to eat and more a lifestyle choice. If you leave without crumbs on your shirt and a goofy smile on your face, you probably did it wrong.

Farmhand has an upscale West Sonoma vibe and offers fantastic river views while you eat, so it gets an extra star. I was hoping for mid-day brunch/breakfast on a Sunday, but breakfast is only to 11:30. After that it's sandwiches made pretty well, with great ingredients. The coffee shop is separate from food order, so it's a bit confusing. Get your sandwich first and then go for the standard coffee offering if that's your thing -- you will be waiting for the sandwich for about 10 minutes depending on how busy it is. Good potato salad. Salty dill pickles. Reasonably priced for the Russian River.

Sitting by the river in the dappled sunshine eating my delicious gluten free Hot Pastrami sandwich the day couldn’t get any better. They took good precautions to avoid cross contamination with my sandwich. Highly recommend.

My feedback to management is to focus a bit more on hospitality and friendliness. We walked in to place a to-go order, and the woman behind the counter went out of her way not to greet us but to tell us that we can’t bring outside drinks inside. Fair enough but the super aggressive delivery way the opposite of how I’d want an employee talking to guests if I owned a restaurant. Sandwiches are good but pricey (about $20 each). My partner and I split our time between Guerneville and SF, and we’ve been here many times before. I’ll be more reluctant to come back as long as she’s behind the counter.

Food: good quality food and grocery, including premade frozen pies, pasta salads, cheese, wines, etc. I gave it 4.5/5 Ambience: nice place to enjoy food. great outdoor area. I give this 5/5 Service: quick and efficient. You order at the counter, they give you a buzzer, and when food is ready, you walk over to pick it up. Also, you pay for groceries at the counter as well. This is where I am going to give this place 1/5 star and here is why:, they have a laminated notice at the cash register stating that 20% mandatory tips for party of 5 OR $75 of purchase or more. This is NOT a full service restaurant. First of all, for them to make it 20% mandatory tip when I have to stand at the counter to order, get my own water, and pick up my own food, I feel being taken advantaged of. Second, think about this: if you just come there to get groceries or a couple bottles of wine, and your grocery bill comes out say $80 (over $75), they're gonna charge you $16 for just bringing up your groceries. That's outrageous and it is just frankly off putting! Safeway, Trader's Joe, Whole Foods, etc never expect their customers to tip their cash register staff but this place makes it mandatory 20% tips for 5-person counter service and grocery purchase of $75 or more. This is what I call taking advantage of customer's generosity and it is just plain wrong!

“Great Service & Atmosphere, But Food Could Use Some Tweaks” The staff was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant had a cool retro vibe, which we appreciated. We ordered the potatoes and avocado toast. Unfortunately, the potatoes seemed like they had been prepared much earlier (or possibly the day before) – they were dry, cold, and had a slightly bitter taste. The avocado toast was different from what we expected. We’re used to fresh avocado on two slices of toast with scrambled eggs, but this version had only one slice of toast and an avocado mixture rather than fresh slices. A little more clarity on the menu about the preparation would be helpful. We loved the atmosphere and service, and with some tweaks to the food, this place could be even better!

Taste 8/10 Service 5/10 Execution 3/10 Walking away with a wet sandwich'. 17 dollars! They use gas station toilet paper as napkins They slice the sandwich so it pores out the liquid. Drain the peppers before you ad them. Again, taste is 90 out of 100 Execution 3 out of 10. All meat is stacked up in the middle. The bread is too thick. They charge too much because they are unable to make a good sandwich. Then the 90 out of a 100 taste gets thrown out the door with their refreshing mint after, aka a horrible root beer candy that will destroy any capable pallet, lacking any urge to explore west county wine region any further that day. Lots of hope but now effort. Good product but lack of respect towards it. When you cut a good sandwich diagonally when the juices are flowing to marinate that bread too soon, that’s a loss to all you try to accomplish.
