This is a must when in Russian River/ Santa Rosa area. Great food, drinks, and casual atmosphere. Wait staff also very accommodating. Great for large groups and families with younger kids. Weekend nights can be crazy, so be sure to get a reservation.

This place looks very low key on the outside, but inside they are all sorts of cool people sitting at the bar, bartenders were great, excellent drinks and food was great also. Really enjoyed this place and would come back.

Slightly more expensive restaurant serving a delicious set of dishes. From classic American to French and even a few Asian dishes, it has a lot to offer. Recommend trying their duck confit and their soups, but also check out some of their other main courses, which all have large portions! They have friendly staff and a large covered back patio that's perfect if you bring your dog to dine!

Rustic meets Asian fare. Excellent. The patio is spacious, bright and relaxing. Eat there if you can. The Hanger steak is fantastic. The Cauliflower Au Gratin is exactly what you expect; creamy and delicious. Their Mac & Cheese is for KIDS AND ADULTS (awesome). Exceptional service. Can't wait to go back and try their Thai dishes.

Great food, great service. A good place to go and have a beverage at the bar, or sit down for a nicer meal. The steak was butter tender, flavorful and a satisfying size. The street parking can be a little challenging, but nothing off putting. A little noisy for quiet conversation, but not so loud as to be unable to have one.

A fav restaurant in the village of Graton. My sister and I came here recently and had some delicious appetizers and desserts. I'm a big fan of all the desserts, and have eaten them all :) From the Meyer Lemon Panna Cotta (raspberry sauce & mango), Creme brûlée, sorbet, chocolate torte (with vanilla pears & cream) — all delicious! I have been going to Underwood for about 4-5 years, some of the best meals I have had. The service is always wonderful, the food is spectacular and the drinks/setting very delightful. Tonight my highlight came from Charlie- a new busser. Right from the get go he told me I had one of the best seats in the house while filling my water. After ditching the distraction of my phone, I realized that yes I did! This set the tone for my evening… already winning. He checked on me while passing by, checked on others and interacted in a positive and friendly way while doing his bussing duties. Working the floor, if you will, and spreading smiles all around. Great hire by management; and coming from service industry and now a retail store manager myself… this fella is the vibe you want! Dianna was also perfect in her service and timing of food (also go kitchen during restaurant week!) Drinks were perfect. As always. Oysters amazing. What a pleasure Underwood! See you soon.

We had dinner at the Underwood Bar & Bistro last night and we would give Christa more than 5 stars if that was possible. She was great, allowing us to have a leisurely meal, but checking back frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was also excellent. Absolutely loved the Thai Fried chicken, so moist and wonderfully crispy. The rest of the group had the salmon or the rigatoni and everyone was more than satisfied. We also shared the mac & cheese, cauliflower au gratin, and a flatbread - yum! Despite all the food, we managed to share a creme brulé for dessert. I would also like to note that the wine list provides lots of delicious options at reasonable prices.

Went to Graton for the super well put together Graton Day Festival and dropped into Underwood with some friends with no reservations. Had been there years ago but it was even better than I remembered. Beet Muhammara, Pad Thai and Cheese plate were spectacular. They even had Peay wine on the menu! Class restaurant in a beautiful little NorCal town right in the thick of wine country.

Loved the ambiance and service. Ordered baby back ribs but was dismayed when served pork ribs. Sauce was meh, potato “fris” not so great. Caesar salad had a real anchovy, which was appreciated but, otherwise was unspectacular. I don’t care for Tai food but the menu was small and had mostly Thai selections. Great for people whole love Tai. Not sure why the fries are spelled in French. Menu items didn’t seem like French entrees, maybe the duck? Anyway, cute place, would try again. Family had a great time.

The cuisine was nothing short of exceptional, with two particular dishes leaving an indelible impression on me. First, the lobster mac n cheese, with its perfectly cooked pasta and succulent chunks of lobster, was an absolute standout. But that's not all - the Filet was cooked to perfection, with a seared exterior giving way to a tender, juicy center that simply melted in my mouth. Overall, my dining experience was simply outstanding, and I look forward to returning to enjoy the exceptional service and delicious cuisine once again. Prior review ........... The server had a little edge. Smiled but talked like she was bothered by everything. Food was average .Cute little dive downtown.

My wife likes coming here when we visit our cabin during the summer. We came during covid and was sat outside which was nice. They had a limited menu with some odd asian' items. However, they did cook my hamburger perfectly rare like I love! My wife got the steak and it was a little over "rare". Then only reason truly for the for stars are that the drinks we got were "ok" and initial service was kinda slow- Roughly 10-15 minutes for someone to come over for drinks.
