The owner is very passionate about creating and honoring the atmosphere of a family restaurant. It is welcoming, bright, friendly with delicious food and many house-made items.
This Ricoton location in Petworth has really stepped up their game. Everything we’ve had at lunch and dinner time has been delicious. Their tacos, especially carnitas, are outstanding. The alfajores are one of the most delicious things you can get in DC right now. Now I just need to stop by for breakfast!

I absolutely love the fish dishes, the ceviche was amazing! The new menu provides some wonderful flavors that are expertly combined. And classics like the empanadas are a great comfort food as well, paired with a tasty chimichurri sauce, and other fantastic sides with different levels of spice. 😙👌
They have a new menu and everything we tried today was great! The choripan with chimichurri was sooo good (tad spicy) and the Copa Shrimp Moqueca was my favorite!!

Truly wonderful food and staff. To call the portion size generous — especially the burritos — would he an understatement. Excellent and friendly staff, and a short wait for food that still came out fresh. More than anything, the empanadas, tacos al pastor, and chicken burritos were all excellent and flavorful. 10/10 would recommend again and again

Ordered 60 empanadas for catering. They were beyond amazing. Everyone wanted to know where the best empanadas they’ve ever had came from. Meat and veggie (samosa) options.
The food is mouthwateringly delicious! We've gotten the empanadas and a burrito so far and have been so impressed. Highly recommend! Cant wait to try the tacos and breakfast options.
Currently a soft open so they just have the basics, tacos, empanadas, and burritos, plus breakfast. But the basics are GREAT! Highly recommend checking it out, great addition to the neighborhood.

So the hours on Google are wrong. I stopped in at 8am because I saw they were open! Got the chorizo breakfast burrito and it is *good* - especially for 8 bucks. Will absolutely be going back soon to try their other food.
