We've had many Tex-Mex restaurants in the neighborhood, but Krystal has become our favorite by far! Their happy hour is 3:30-7, which is amazing, the food is delicious, and the staff are so wonderful. Do yourself a favor and get over here ASAP!

Food is good and service is top notch. Happy hour specials are good. The place is owned and run by people who care about the food and atmosphere. They are new to the area but have restaurant experience. A good local spot to support. They are open to listening to their customers and want to be a part of the community.
We finally hit on the right pl for Tex-mex! Great food esp bean& cheese nachos & vegetarian burritos +patio area for happy hour Very cozy atmosphere, very friendly service💙🧡💚
Very happy with this addition to the neighborhood even if this part of 12th is mostly Mexican restaurants. Tacos were fantastic, need to go back and try the mole from what I’ve been told! They finally have a liquor license too and their happy hour can’t be beat! It isn’t fancy or looking to be something it’s not. Will be back, especially for happy hour. Also, not sure about the “Tex” part but definitely has the “Mex”.

The food was delicious and well-prepared, and considering the quality and service, the prices are very reasonable. Parking was also super easy, which is always a plus in my book! Highly recommended for anyone looking for great Tex-Mex, excellent service, and a relaxed, comfortable setting. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Such a great addition to Brookland. Super tasty food, friendly and kind staff, reasonable prices. Have come for lunch twice and look forward to trying for happy hour soon too.
New mexican restaurant in Brookland. We tried out the menu and they even have some vegetarian options available which is good. Service was great with some minor issues with the check. Other than that we need some desserts!
Exceptional customer service. Constantly checked up on me and providing any sauce I wanted. Food was 10/10 as well with decent portion sizes. Will likely eat here again
In my opinion the food was spectacular and very good quality for a fair price. The service was amazing and the workers were extremely friendly. This resturaunt is doing good in their first month of opening which is pretty impressive. I would reccomend if you like Hispanic food and you want to eat with your family. Everything is good. I would definitely cone here often for the delicous food. 100/10 🔥🤯😁👍🤤
Excellent takeout experience. The food was absolutely delicious! Our favorites were the al pastor quesadilla and the chicken enchilada. Everything was fresh and well seasoned. The staff were really warm and welcoming, and the space feels sunny and joyful. Would love to dine-in some time soon- especially if they get a liquor license! I also heard the staff say dogs are allowed on the patio- a big plus for me! Really excited for this new neighborhood spot.
Delicious fajitas, warm service and flavorful enchiladas. We loved the outdoor seating and fresh plates! Highly recommend for a nice lunch or dinner!!

Upon entering, very friendly staff. This was my first experience. The wings was mediocre not flavorful, more batter than original wings. The quesadilla was ok. I will has to try something different to see if I has a better taste quality. Very clean, and nice hospitality.
The food was the cheapest thing I’ve ever bought, 4$ for one taco is amazing. The staff is around 2 people and they’re just amazing people. The to-go container was very secure, and their special sauce is legendary. This even has outdoor seating. My only complaint would be the atmosphere 10/10 for everything else.
A new under the radar spot with excellent food and friendly service. See the pics. Fair prices. Clean. Simple and relaxed atmosphere. Glad to have them in Brookland. Planning on eating there again. The enchilada mole special was delicious.

I’m not going to bash the people because they were all so no nice I did place a pick up order so it wasn’t a long interaction. I got the lomo Saltado with steak. It came with steak, fries, grilled peppers and onions, and rice and beans. Respectfully speaking everything was bland epically the beans. My main concern was the steak was pretty much inedible and it was like chewing rubber I kept spitting the steak out. So I basically ate fries, rice, and beans for $21. Don’t mean to bash a local restaurant but steak was inedible. Will try something else next time
