Lake Bomoseen Lodge and Taproom

It’s slow tourist season in the Bomoseen area and my wife and I had never been. And we live 15 minutes away. So we tried the taproom and it did not disappoint. The bar and restaurant itself is two levels. We sat close to the bar to watch the NFL playoffs. The staff were very friendly and attentive. And the food was also very good. We had a large pretzel, bbq Mac and cheese, and a burger. Everything tasted very good and the portions were realistic. It’s a new spot we will frequent again soon.

Very nice looking rustic but upscale bar and restaurant overlooking the lake. Great views are available from many different tables inside and out. My group ordered a variety of menu items... a couple appetizers, pizza and sandwiches and everything came out quite good. There were no complaints and the portions were enough to where we took to go bags home. The place was very busy that evening and the staff were having to take care of many people at once, but still managed to keep drinks filled etc. Would try again! Would recommend!

We attended a wedding here. It was beautiful. The ceremony was across the road on the lawn by the lake, with cocktails after under the tent. There were several places for people to spread out and relax. Then, dinner and dancing in the main building for the rest of the evening. Everything was well organized and beautifully arranged in a gorgeous setting. The weather was perfect and the scenery grand.

Went on a Monday night and had drinks, appetizer and meal. All we're amazing including our waitress who was friendly, attentive and professional. Sat on lowered level outside patio and enjoyed the lake view and fireplace. It was first night for live music Monday and that was great as well. Overall a great, relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Beautiful, great views of the water, and attentive and polite staff. Dog friendly on the patio and served my pup a big bowl of cold water as soon as we sat. The food was expensive, but from what we got anyway, the portions made that make sense so no complaints. I feel like we could've shared our nachos with 6 other people and still had leftovers.

Food is very good! We had the brick oven pizza and burgers. Both excellent. Good beer selection and great service. Highly recommend. Desserts are great too.

Such a great spot to grab dinner and a drink! We had excellent service from Jake. He was so accommodating when we wanted to move to the beautiful fire pit. The meals have been excellent every time and the view of the lake can't be beat!!

The inside murals of the lake are incredible. The space is contemporary, clean and rustic. Outside dining overlooks the lake and sunsets. Live music is pleasant and not too loud.

Great beer selection, everyone enjoyed their lunch. Priced right. The staff was very professional and courteous. Will definitely go back again soon.

Over hyped sports bar. We made reservations for a birthday, and when we arrived, we were only able to sit in the lower bar area without a view of the lake. (Two different groups occupied the upper floors that would have had views, and outside dining area was full)Staff are all seasonal college kids with little experience or personality. Food was mediocre at best. The website makes it look like a fancy place with excellent food, but that was not our experience. Would never waste my money on this place again.

Food was good, nice view, but it took forever to get food and it was not busy.

We have been going here for years. The last three times have been a nightmare. The service was beyond slow, did not matter if the place was packed or empty. The food was meh. Tonight two of us ordered the brisket sandwich, one was fine, the other had one slice of meat on it. We sat at 7PM and were served at 8:17PM. A full 45 minutes after we were seated and had ordered we were informed that two of our orders were not available. I got a side salad and was charged for dressing?!? Never seen that happen before. We had to flag down random waitresses to have water sent to our table, were served our apps without plates, and as if that was not enough, as we were finishing up, they were cleaning up and a waitress hit me with a bag of garbage on her way out. We watched tables sit after us who were long gone before us. As I said we have been there mid day when the place was empty, and when it was packed. Doesn't matter the service is horrible lately, and the food is really downhill compared to what it was a year or two ago. I had two of the same drink, and they tasted completely different. Don't waste your time or money. Such a shame, it used to be one of our favorite places to go.

Food shopping was underwhelming and over priced.

I experienced a disappointing visit to the restaurant. Despite there being more than five empty tables, I waited 10 minutes to be seated. Once seated, I had to wait another 10 minutes just to receive water from the waiter. While the sockeye salmon was acceptable, both the burgers and pesto risotto fell short of my expectations. Overall, the service and food quality did not meet what I had hoped for.

Food was pretty clearly microwaved, I got the risotto and the heat was extremely unevenly distributed. Chicken was inedibly dry. Someone in my party got the fried chicken sandwich which looked serviceable. Another in my party requested a medium burger and received one well done.
