Charming wood cabin Feel with excellent food. Turkey burger with gluten free bun and sweet potato fried were awesome. Daughter had French dip was amazing too!
Best food our entire vacation! We tried a lot of local places while in town, but by far we had the best Mozzarella Sticks and Cordon Bleu Bites ever! Our waiter "DessertMan" was so nice and was working his tail off while we were there. The salads were delicious and huge! Burgers were done perfectly and tasted great! The wings were so good! Great place for lunch and dinner!
Stopped in as I was traveling through on a four hour trip. Food was excellent service was kind and excellent. Great experience will note this for the next time if and when I pass by this establishment.
Very delicious food, Kelly and Brandon were fun to chat with about anything. Great service. Will definitely be back for Osso Bucco and my husband had dill haddock the best haddock he has ever had. Fresh side salads.
On a trip to New Hampshire from New York state, my wife and I needed to stop and get some food. We decided to try it and wow, this place was a COMPLETE surprise. The food was so amazing, the bread tasted home made, the sandwiches and wraps were huge, and the bill was so incredibly cheap. I wish we lived closer because my god this place is sooo good. Highly recommend for anyone in the area or driving by.
Friendly staff Jill was engaging and cared for her customers. Best French dip I ever had. Highly recommended!
Deserves its great reputation. Just ordered sandwiches and fries, but I'll be back this way for those again. Adirondacker sub is a definite recommended
My friend and I have stopped in for a later dinner a couple times after a long day fishing some regional lakes. I've always had the buffalo chicken wrap we split the loaded nachos (it's pretty big) the food has been good and the beer has been cold and never has a stale one. It's good old classic Americana food at reasonable prices and in a typical bar setting I've personally never had a bad experience and when I'm in the area later this summer I will be stopping by for that wrap and some nachos.
Great service, fantastic food, wish I lived closer so I could come back! The Rueben and Crispy Chicken Club wrap were outstanding
Stopped in for a late lunch. We ate at the bar. Excellent grilled sandwiches and burgers. Nice selection of local beers on tap as well as the national brands. A warm and friendly place. We highly recommend this restaurant
Had some great Nachos and a Coffee and Baileys. Service was very friendly and we were in and out pretty quick. I'd like to stop by again because the menu had a couple things I didn't get to try like the chicken cordon blue bites and other interesting items. Good place to stop for a quick meal.
We passed this place on the way to VT. The guy I was running with said it is a good spot to eat and overnight across the street. So we stopped on the way back. He was not wrong. I had a French dip sandwich. It was perfection on a plate. The fries were great, too!
Our server was hilarious and really good. The fries stand on their own. The atmosphere is the best part and makes you feel like you're eating in a cabin or lodge in the mountains. It's a nice place to eat, especially if you're from out of town. I'd go back again.
The food waa amazing! My husband got the Buffalo Chicken Alfredo OH MY Goodness. Nothing we say could do this justice! French Onion Soup was the best I've had in a very long time. Our waitress Kelly was so good. We highly recommend having a meal here. You will be glad you did!
Cool place, that's very rustic. There are carved animals all over which are fun to explore. The food was very good, and our waitress was lovely. We had our dog, so we sat on the deck, and she brought him a bowl of water without asking. Love the consideration and thoughtfulness.
Stopped by while traveling through the area, good crowd, definitely a locals favorite. Service was fast and attentive, I don’t remember her name, but our waitress was top notch, we were waited on and served our food within 15 minutes of arrival. Waitress was attentive, personable and quickly inquired as to our satisfaction and the quality of our food. Deli sandwich was delicious, grilled cheese was better than expected! Sweet potato fries were fantastic, thick and well prepared. Prices were very reasonable. I will definitely stop again and we recommend then! It’s worth the trip!
The food was really good. I love their tuna salad. I didn’t try the menu after 5 PM. probably next time hopefully. Thank you Liza for everything.
Appears like your average VT eatery but its much more. Very good food and nice options..Very nice outdoor patio....
Food was great I would absolutely return!
Large portions great prices friendly services
Arrived at 8:45pm and was so grateful to be able to order a delicious meal rather than fast food that late at night. Staff was happy to have me. Food served quickly. Get the sweet potato fries! They're served with a delicious sweet berry sauce and so good. I have to be in the area every Wednesday night for the next 10 weeks and I took their takeout menu so I can order in advance.
Live music. Restaurant open late and serving food. Waited was very busy running inside and out, but friendly and helpful. Food was good. Alfredo was really good. We all took leftovers home.
The fettuccine alfredo was amazing. I was worried with it being so expensive almost $17 but I was pleasantly surprised when I had the best fettuccine alfredo I've ever had. The Alfredo sauce was absolutely to die for and the chard garlic bread was phenomenal. The service was amazing as well definitely work the extra money
Dinner for 7 of us including my grandson's son-in-law 2 daughters my wife and myself great meal. The service was exceptional perit was exceptional. The waitress took the time time to explain if Blaine specials and dishes that we were ordering and what was in them. Made sure that we had refills on all of our drinks including adult beverages. Took extra special care of my grandson and paid extra attention to him. All in all I recommend this place to any and all who pass through Lake George and its surrounding area.
Excellent grilled chicken salad and beer selection and attractive service
We had my husband’s 50th birthday party here. Very reasonably priced, food was excellent and service was amazing. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for our casual party.
Every time I order the workers are so friendly and happy to help. Food is always hot and sooo delicious. The atmosphere is very welcoming.
French dip , Barb stayed over to wait in our party of 9. She was awesome , Thank You . Took very good care of all our needs was spot on with all of her attention to the details. 10 ⭐'s would be more accurate.
Just a great experience across the board, it is self seating, but someone still greeted us almost instantly. It seemed wasn't far behind to take our orders. Our food was better than expected. BLT and Cajun Steak Fettuccine Alfredo, both were very good, wouldn't have asked them to change anything. If you are using by this is definitely worth a visit, great did and supporting local business!
Great food, excellent server, ambience reflects Adirondacks and Lake George! Cider was perfect for being GF. Make your own s'mores for dessert was perfect for the kids!
This is definitely a great hangout spot. Great meals as long as you can possibly afford it. Used to be the old Len And Peg's. Friendly bar and grill.
This was first time stopping in here. Very cozy and friendly place. They have a kids menu and we're very attentive to our children. The wife got the cheeseburger and she said it was ok. I got the Adirondack and thought it was really good. The kids got macaroni and cheese, sweet potatoe fries and a pb&j sandwich with fries and they said there's were good. We will definitely be back next time we visit
A nice large bar and restaurant that has been around awhile. I pass by 6 times a year but never stopped in until 6-7-24. Lisa I believe was my attentive bartender. I went with the Reuben Sandwich with cold slaw. It was very good. Plentiful and tender. I highly recommend you stop in when driving by.
Absolutely great service! Traveling through in between loading and delivery simply patty melt Incredible meal no comparison to what we normally get offered! And the best part a good time interacting with the locals! All ends of the bar! What a hoot! Best bartender ever! JILL! Worth the trip - don't hesitate- every server was excellent 👌 watched em work!
Adirondack Bar and Grill is a great spot to hit especially when your at a Mountain Mayhem Soccer Tournament. It was 3 minutes from the fields on the way to go home. I always look for cute spots that have great reviews when we aren't in our area. Highly recommend. Fast service. Delicious food, great pricing and very cute atmosphere. There was a sign that they were closing for a special event and thankfully we were able to get in and get out within the hour before they closed for it (1 pm). If you are traveling by this is a must!
Stopped at the truck stop across the street and walked over for a bite to eat. Loved the waitress!! Kept us laughing and was really sweet and kind to us. Even asked the kitchen a few questions for us which we greatly appreciated. Also tried some of her recommendations and they did not disappoint!! Hope to be back up here in the area soon for some more food!!
I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and macaroni salad but when it was brought out the Mac salad had tuna in it. I asked her to swap side order to Cole slaw instead and she disappeared for 5 minutes when it should have been much quicker to put my sandwich on a different plate with slaw. Overall the food was good and lots of parking and it was a convenient place to stop for dinner halfway home to VT.
Gave this a try the other night. Definitely an Adirondack themed restaurant - stuffed dead animal heads all around, pine paneling and cute wood tables and chairs (in part). We ordered the pretzel appetizer - good and the beer cheese dip was tasty. Next we had salad (pretty generic - iceberg lettuce, couple tomatoes and croutons) and French Onion soup - decent but a very brown tasting broth ( not burnt but close ). Last were the dinners - 10oz prime rib special and broiled scallops. Everything was ok - nothing super special. But what we noticed that we should have ordered were the sandwiches and burgers as the servers brought out other tables' foods! Don't order the dinners - go for the sandwiches instead. 😉
Excellent food, great service, clean, friendly. Not a fan of bar "noise" in a dining room. The interior doors between the 2 rooms was open. Busy bar with jukebox music playing. I'll give them a 4.75 out of 5!
I like the personality of the hostess and our server. The food was good, but certainly not what I expected.
Food was decent I really didn't have any complaints. The restaurant is adorned with antiques and other interesting wall pieces. Staff was friendly, food was served within a decent period of time. Looked to be a popular place to stop on snomobiles.
Food was great at a fair price. The server was outstanding as she balanced 18 diners by herself. Co-worker was late. Charming atmosphere with a reasonable amount of menu choices.
Went in for a lunch with co-workers, we all had burgers or wraps of some kind. Our food came out quick and was tasty, our server was efficient and friendly. The decor was interesting inside and gave the feeling that you were definitely in the Adirondacks. I got a pretty picture of some icicles outside...
Great menu with lots of delicious options in a large, cozy space with outdoor seating. They serve the coldest beer you're likely to ever enjoy
Went there after playing golf at Queensbury CC since their restaurant wasn't open and staff recommended here. Pleasant wait staff and the food was good. Had the small prime rib and had some leftover to bring home.
First off , this would be better if they were fully staffed. No one acknowledged us when we walked in until there were 4 groups behind us and then the woman shouted across the room to seat ourselves. We sit down and order pretzel stick appetizers with the beer cheese and she tells us that all 3 cooks quit and no one here knows how to make it. Panic ensued... Should we leave? Will this be terrible? We stayed and are glad we did. The salad was iceberg, okay. But the Buffalo chicken fettuccini Alfredo was classically spicy and hit the spot. My roast beef sandwich was okay, with homemade tasting macaroni salad with tuna in it. Great little spot for sandwiches after a long day on the water that wasn't crowded at all. Here, the short staffing came into play again though as I basically stopped eating because I needed more water and no one came for awhile and by then my stomach settled into full.
We love this place. Good bat. Has a cozy Fire place room. A couple of tables by the front windows get cold when the main entry is opened. Outside deck with heater attract a lot of snowmobiles. Their burgers and French Dip were great. I really love the sweet potato fries with raspberry dipping sauce. It is like dessert during supper.
Pretty good place. Reasonable prices. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Looked clean and well kept to me. I had a roast beef sandwich with horseradish sauce. It was pretty good. The cole slaw portion was a bit on the small side. The waitress was nice and attentive. We felt we got a good value for what we are and the service was fairly quick. I'm definitely going back when in the area again.
The food was hot and delicious, and the portions were large. Woody cabin decor with plenty of taxidermy. It took quite a long time to get our food after ordering (over 30 minutes), but other than that, it was great!
We enjoyed a great visit with friends- but the food left a lot to b desired- cold soggy loaded chips and nothing else was much better. I can say the steak sandwich was good!
Visited on 8/11/2014 Stopped in for a quick bite on our way up to Lake George. It was shortly after 130pm and there was only one other table occupied. Seemed there may have been another table or two occupied on the patio. One waitress assigned to everyone, and service was a bit slow, but we weren't in a huge rush. Prices were reasonable, sandwiches were phenomenal, as were the sweet potato fries, but the regular fries were only slightly warm and very soggy. They were obviously re-heated and not cooked to order. A shame too, because the spicy/shaved steak sandwich that they accompanied was absolutely delicious. My wife's cheeseburger was equally delicious. Cell service (Verizon) was non-existent, and although the establishment provided WiFi, it was tricky to log in/obtain a signal. Casual, laid back atmosphere with a few TVs as well. Bathrooms were clean and tidy. All in all a decent visit. The only other item I would speak to were the couple of flies/bugs flying about, buzzing our food. I attributed this to being in 'the woods' and it was only slightly annoying. Again, we were on vacation.
Food is good, step up from Applebee's or 99
Hubby ended up doing GPS for this restaurant instead of the one I wanted to go to but had a similar name. Stayed anyway. Daughter had a BLT with fries which she said was good. Hubby had Fettuccine Alfredo with garlic bread and salad. He said it was okay but it looked like soup. I only had a garden salad. Loud weird mix of music. Food on par with a okay diner. Would not go back.
Food was good. Service was also fine. Ordered a southwest chicken wrap with tortilla chips. Skimped on the salsa but flavor was there. I've eaten the french dip before and it was good. 3 stars to me represents a place I would go back too. Average to slightly above average.
$22.99 per entre is a little steep for our area. Staff was very good. My meal was cold under cooked I never send anything back but really was hungry so I chanced it. Meal came back out perfect temp was pretty good. Nice sized portions. 3 stars because price and under cooking.
Traveled through here on my honeymoon. We enjoyed the Bear Naked Ale, and some great meals. Unfortunately we had terrible service indoors. Our receipt was printed at 5:20 and our waitress didn’t return the table until after 6 PM to collect our money. For a visit that we expected to last about 45 minutes to an hour was nearly a 2 hours! I recommend sitting outdoors, as many waitresses were traveling about out there!
We went on aug 26th and the food was phenomenal, just delicious so we brought our family back last night and it was terrible. the french onion soup was so salty, sweet potato fries were soggy, sliders were like hockey pucks. The alfredo sauce was blah. Truly disappointing basing it on the the experience we had on the 26th. It is always a hit or miss but whoever cooked the night of the 26th needs to be full time! staff super cool though.
Food was average. No complaints about the food specifically. Waitress seemed to be doing her best on her own with many tables to attend to. Upon sitting down, I immediately noticed she was alone. I suggested to my party of 4 and a 1yr old to NOT get an appetizer due to this observation. But alas, it was merely a suggestion due to an observation. We got 2 appetizers. Low and behold the baby started to lose his shi# because it took so long. 1 1/2 hrs for his kraft Mac n cheese and almost 2hrs for our meal. When our meal arrived I immediately asked for 2- go boxes and a bill. Never had I been to a restaurant and not eaten after hours of being there. I DO understand there may be other factors at play here but this was our experience. Still gave a tip, as mentioned, was not the Waitress's fault. Btw.. my long Island iced tea was fine....🫡
We came in and the place was nearly empty. We received our menus. Very generic menu, sandwiches, burgers, etc. I ordered the Adirondacker which is shaved beef with pepperonchinis and onions in a spicy sauce in a roll. It was a good concept and was okay. The burger was mediocre at best, and fries were bland but edible. The crab cakes were average but a plus for not having too much filler. My side salad was fresh because their veggies came from the farm stand next to the restaurant which was definitely a plus. The issue was service was slow for us being one of the only tables there. Server was nice but could have been more attentive considering we were her only table. Overall, just average and nothing blew me away.
Today I brought my husband for the first time after telling him he would like it there and it was awful. When we sat down we got Barb as our host and she acted annoyed we were there. The next two tables she waited on were older than us and she was very cordial with them and smiled. After we got our food, she gave us our bill and I immediately grabbed my wallet while she was taking our dishes so we could get out of her hair. It took *20 minutes for her to come get payment. At one point I went to the bar to ask if it was possible to pay there because it was extremely awkward to just sit and wait to be allowed to go. When she came for payment she didn't say a word and just took the card to go get our receipt. Maybe she was having a bad day, but it was so awkward and unpleasant that neither of us want to go back any time soon. The only reason I won't give a 1 star is because the sandwich was good. My fries unfortunately were overcooked to the point of almost being black and the soda was completely flat, which have both happened more than once.
This was our second visit to this restaurant and it was not a good one. First visit we were impressed with the service but this time our waitress was absent minded and not attentive and appeared to be and smelled like she was intoxicated. The only time she was interested in our table was when she stood over me while I filled out our receipt and made the whole table uncomfortable. We are local but probably won’t go back.
It was okay they had a limited selection of beers on tap, which kind of surprised me, because I like a good craft beer, and because Adirondack Brewery I assumed they would. Happy hour offered I think $0.50 off tap beers, place was deserted except for the locals which all seem to have everything but their name etched into the bar still so if you're sitting in one of their seats you will get the cold shoulder and even be asked to move
Please teach your waitress not to deliver drinks to the table by holding the rim of the glass with her fingers. Food was overcooked and cold. Please look up and run a duster around your lights. First and last time.
Can't speak for the food, Never had any. Waitress was very nice but stated the cooks refused to cook or fry anything due to the heat. It's hot every day this week. I feal it's your job to cook the menu and if you refuse due to the heat, you should not be a chef.
Cute rustic style diner. The food was good, fresh and hot. The service was atrocious however. In all of our years of hospitality, we have never had a server as rude, and inattentive as we did today. And I couldn’t even tell you her name, because she didn’t introduce herself. If I could give it a zero for service, I would. I wish we had sat at the bar, because the bartender and all the patrons sitting there were having a great experience.
The waitress was very late for her shift. We were a party of 8. First group in when they opened. Waitress was rude and very short with her replies to our questions about the menu. The person behind the bar tried to help the very cranky waitress but was chased away. Our waitress made insulting remarks to one in our group. Many others were served their food before us. I had to speak to the manager about a hair in my chicken sandwich. He was very accommodating. But our waitress never gave up her wicked attitude. Not a place to revisit. The water in our glasses smelled of a foul dirty odor and taste like sulfer so bad it burned our lips.. The ice tasted the same way.
Our waitress Barbara was friendly but the food is not worth stopping for. French dip was mostly bread and melted Swiss cheese with overcooked roast beef. The fries were good but you get charged an up charge. Not sure how they have 4 plus stars.
We had 20 people and none of the food was that great. Scallops were inedible, the torpedo French dip and their Adirondack sandwich wasn’t that good, and the chicken sandwich was a small breast of chicken w bbq sauce brushes on half of its a monster bun that was completely disproportionate. Fries were pretty good and the beer was cold. Also the website was misleading since it showed a lake view from a. Deck, but there was no lake or view. Wouldn’t recommend or go back.
My experience here was not great at all. Waited for quite a while to get menus, then a lot longer for a server. Food took quite a while to come out, and when it did, it was terrible. Medium rare steak was served VERY well done, french fries cooked in really dirty oil, and the Reuben is made with the cheapest quality deli meat possible; I could have got a better Reuben from Subway. This place cant be proud of the quality of food they serve...
We (2 adults, 2 kids under 3, and a 10yr old) were really excited to eat here but when we got sat and it took 15 mins to get our drinks and a 4 top sat down next to us 5 mins later, got their drinks before us, got food before us. Not to mention their prices were all jacked up on everything and made little sense. Nothing came with friends and were an upcharge. The nachos were chips with burnt cheese (we asked for stuff on the side due to 5 people not all liking the same so make it easy) The waitress was extremely rude when asked politely why there were differences in prices. Like 1.50 for chocolate milk but 2 for white milk? That was just a small part. Their French dip is literally steakums yet its suppose to be prime rib. Horrible experience. How it came to 90 dollars without a tip is insane.
All I can say about this place is not to go during the earlier hours. We are mighty picky about where we take our family to eat and this last time was for a birthday no less. Typically we have an amazing time... The service was terrible this time. I tried to over compensate with jewelry compliments and sympathy and all i got in return was the displeasure of watching another table be seated, place their order and be served before we even got our coffee. When she finally realized we were there she put her hair down over her face and was shaking her head at me because I asked for romaine lettuce....we brought my in laws so we could share with them our favorite spot and now my fiance doesn't even want to go back. I know it won't add up right away but eventually our $150 monthly contribution will be missed by your establishment and you can thank your waitress who brags about her 20 years of experience.... I guess she was serving in a prison?
Ate there for lunch, definately not what I expected for the price. We ordered the Canadian mounty could barely find the chicken and Canadian bacon the tomato slice was bigger then both of them. For a sandwich that cost more than $10 it was pitiful. Our server had the personality of a wet mop. We've gotten better service and food at a car hop on 22A in Granville called Jen's Pitstop. Where the food is fantastic and the staff is super friendly.
Seems like one of those places that as long as the bar makes money , no one cares about the food. My fries and fingers were literally cooked in rancid unchanged fryer oil.!!!!! Who's in charge here? OOmph!!!
Waitress was horrible! Food and drinks were ordered at the same time. It took 10 minutes for our beer to come out. She made a rude comment about another couple due to where they were sitting. Got the wrong beer and she put my glass on the table with her hand on the rim of my glass. She served 2 other tables their food before ours, when I asked her she said we ordered beer. I said no we ordered food too. She said she would check. I said never mind as we did not want it now. She came back out to the patio and said our food was coming out next. I again told her we would not be having it as we are leaving. When I pointed out we had ordered before the other two tables she said no, food comes out as it is ordered. I'm guessing she forgot our order and then had to scramble to get our food to us. We did not eat there. I do not get upset when a waitress is busy but nice. This Waitress really needs to get a different job. She was Not a happy camper at all. We have been here before and our experience was very different. We won't be back.
Our server tried her best to make our experience pleasant but the kitchen staff was new and the restaurant was understaffed. The food was mediocre.
Very disappointed with our recent experience. We are seasonal locals, and this was not our first time here. With only two waitresses, we knew it was busy, but there was plenty of open tables. The waitress was attentive as she could be. We ordered our food and drinks. We got our drinks quickly and the appetizer. But 30 minutes after placing our order was when we were told they were out of what my husband ordered and he was brought another menu! I find this really lousy and what made it all worse, the owner was sitting at the next table with other patrons, totally oblivious to what was going on or choosing to be! We made the decision not to put in another order and wait again, asked for the check and left and went to the truck stop across the road for excellent service, pizza and wings! What is most disturbing is management having a totally oblivious attitude on what was going on in that dining room. Furthermore, you have someone upset enough to leave and don’t take anything off the check?? Like maybe the appetizer??? We won’t be back and neither will our friends and neighbors.
I'm no cook, but I could've done better myself. You can't just put cold roast beef on a bun and plastic cheese on top and think that's a Philly cheese steak
Terrible food. Cole slaw was the worst I ever had. My girlfriends burger was over cooked and terrible. I ordered a full rack of these supposed famous ribs for 22 bucks and yuck. A cheap rack of meat of mostly fat, boiled probably with a smear of BBQ sauce on it. Would not recommend it to anyone else and will not be back again.
Gloomy and dark atmosphere to start off.. then got served a hockey puck of a cheeseburger ordered medium rare. Waitress was nice, but no excuse for terrible food quality. Will not be coming back. Do not recommend. Go to McDonalds for a better experience!
We were a party of 11. We waited an hour and a half for our food to come out. For a place that only had maybe three tables of people ordering food. When it did come out, my grandchliderns food was cold. The Prime Rib that my 2 son's ordered was RAW. The food was not brought out at the same times, so we diffent eat as a family of 11, but more like individuals. All this crappy service at a price of $268.00. This was the worst service I have ever had. I would have been happier going across the street and eating the Mac & Cheese from Stewart's. The waitress was very nice, if I were her, I would be looking for a better establishment to work for.
The staff has ZERO knowledge of ingredients when it comes to allergies… not only that- attendant was unwilling to check the box (cause it was downstairs) to see if there was gluten in there chocolate ice cream. Allergies are a serious thing and when you’re in the food business this should come hand in hand. I wouldn’t trust the food they serve cause it’s pretty clear they don’t care about their customers. Gross.
