Friendly baristas, beans are solid. Simple menu but well crafted bevvies.
Coffee was really good! Small little spot that's easy to get to if you are near the courthouse or want to come up from the River Walk. Not much for food here but the restaurant next door has good american food.
Had to come back after my 1st visit here I just love the Latte and the atmosphere was so chill and The staff was very welcoming which is most important thing to me and the baristas who made my Apple Crisp Latte, Very Demure, very sophisticated,Very on point!! Okay that’s alll. I’ll be coming back to check out all there lattes!!
I didn’t see the words “Niche coffee company” anywhere, but this is tucked into the Riverwalk Plaza Hotel. The coffee was delicious- I got a pumpkin latte which I don’t normally do, it was not too sweet and tasted very natural with delicious spiced foam. Very kind server and quiet, just off the river walk!
My favorite coffee shop ever!! The coffee is super good and their house made syrups are to die for. I always get an iced honey/vanilla latte. Great service and a very welcoming energy. I definitely recommend this shop!
Great coffee, the espresso roast in my americano had a sweet finish and was superb. The staff was friendly, and the service was prompt. It was a short walk from my stay. Located next to bexar (bear) courthouse . It's a cool looking building for sure.
We tried Match latte and pumpkin spice latte both were wonderful. Just the right amount of sweetness. We also tried the banana bread which was also amazing! Way better than Starbucks. This is a small cozy shop and a great place to refresh while you are touring the historical sites of San Antonio downtown. The guy who served us was very welcome and kind. 10 stars..
My favorite coffee shop in the downtown area, this place is perfect. Always good music playing, the coffee and snacks are incredible. The manager Zella is a huge factor in their success, always a great smile and attention to detail, simply love coming here and do every chance I get. If you find yourself in the area stop in a try a latte 🥰 you will not be disappointed!
Neat place close enough to the river walk to go to but without the price gouge.
Excellent coffee and really nice service, although it can be a little slow if it’s crowded. Pastries are also really good, the raspberry & chocolate bar is amazing! It is not cheap, so prepare yourself to pay for a $7 coffee!
Service was not very welcoming but the delicious vanilla latte made up for it.
Give the experience 5 stars+ ! Niche Coffee is a real gem. It’s coffee is above and beyond!! Space is cool as well! If you’re looking for place to work from (bring headphones) or meet a friend for a chill catch up, that’s a perfect place to come to.
Came in to get coffee, first time here btw and I really enjoyed the coffee and the atmosphere! Also the playlist playing was top tier ✨🙌🏼 will come back
Such a lovely spot! I really enjoyed my honey lavender latte, and the barista lady was super friendly and polite.
I stopped by Niche Coffee Company in downtown San Antonio, and I’m so glad I did! The staff was super friendly, making the experience that much better. I tried the hot chai tea latte with almond milk—delicious! While I didn’t get to try the pastries, they looked absolutely tempting. The location is also really convenient, with parking options nearby and within walking distance to attractions like the San Fernando Cathedral, the Briscoe Western Art Museum, and the River Walk. It's definitely worth a visit for coffee lovers and tourists alike!
Great coffee spot that had an excellent drink and food selection. Definitely recommend their Mexican vanilla latte. The atmosphere was really nice, good service, and easy place to find a seat to read or work. Plan on coming back next time I’m in town.
Coffee Shop No. 508 Niche Coffee Co. San Antonio, TX June 10, 2025 From across the street, my first glance of Niche Coffee Company gave me the impression there was some rich history inside the building; so I had to look it up while waiting on my cortado. Turns out the cafe sits on the corner of The Riverwalk Plaza Hotel; once the garage to The Plaza Hotel. It was once boasted as the “finest hotel in the South” during the 1920’s. The Plaza stood on an island in the San Antonio River up until 1926 when the water was channeled away in flood-control work. The building is not as lavish it was during its heyday golden era, but the bones are still there. Spanish heritage remains in the arches, carved stone and tile floors. I found the location to be captivatingly beautiful. Niche Coffee Co. now welcomes coffee lovers on the corner street level of The Riverwalk Plaza. The cafe is modern yet comfortable and cozy. I read a couple chapters of a book and sipped happily on my very well made cortado. It was bold in flavor and served at a perfect temperature so it was smooth and velvety just the way I like it. The shop uses coffee beans from Quantum Coffee Roasters, a local San Antonio roaster. Enjoying life one cortado at a time!
My friend has some allergies to regular milk and some gums in alternative milk, the barista Ollie read out the ingredients to her for what almond milk they use which was SO KIND! It seems simple, but that extra moment of kindness meant a lot to me. She was knowledgeable and so great!

This is my favorite coffee shop in SATX! I’ve been a regular here for a year and a half and never had a better experience (or better coffee) anywhere else. Just don’t take the comfy chairs by the window, that’s my spot! :)
I’m gonna keep it simple, I’ve been to A LOT of coffee shops in San Antonio. And this is hands down the best coffee shop I have ever been to.
Stopped by to study with a friend and the atmosphere was beautiful; the windows are gorgeous and the matcha was very good there. A little small since it's next to a hotel but overall it was a great experience

They have decent coffee I had an espresso and drip coffee still was delicious
One of the best coffees I’ve found in San Antonio, this is my go to coffee shop when I’m around! The latte and mocha are just delicious.
Good coffee, not great. From the photos, I expected more in terms of bean selection or crafty espresso drinks. Didn’t have many pastry options when we went in so had to pivot somewhere else after, tried an almond croissant that was average. In between a hotel lobby and another breakfast restaurant I think. Some of the shared furnishing was a little rough.
We had a great time here, we had a large group and they treated us good. The coffee was great and the baristas were awesome. We enjoyed our time here
Today I find myself at Niche Coffee Co. in the heart of historic San Antonio. Niche, like so many other coffee shops in San Antonio operates at the base of a hotel. And like the others, it’s difficult to interpret where or if the hotel leaves off and Niche begins. Regardless, Niche aims for a neighborhood essence and comes close to the mark. I’ve ordered my usual, a cappuccino in a mug, a bit dry. No croissant today, as nothing in the case spoke to me. The roast was more mild than some of the other coffee establishments I’ve visited this trip. While rich in flavor, it lacked the punch required to move past the expertly crafted foamed milk. Perhaps a touch more dry would have served the roast well. Providing the blend equal footing. That said, I enjoyed my cappuccino and I dare say I would have enjoyed a second if time were my advantage today. If you should find yourself in San Antonio, add Niche Coffee Co. to your list. Sit for a bit, perhaps read a book, and enjoy a second cup where I cannot. Enjoy.

Went in for a bagel this morning and the guy who took my order was super nice . But the girl was soooo unfriendly. Just seemed super bothered to be there. Then when my bagel was ready she just kinda tossed it on the counter and said it was ready and walked away. I say thank you and she completely ignored me.
How can a coffee shop be out of drip coffee in the morning??? My Americano was a good substitute, but , c'mon. The vibe is dead, and though comfortable tables, and good music, it's not a place to enjoy hanging out or doing work.

I loved the coffee house atmosphere, it was cozy and inviting. The baristas however seemed really bothered to serve us and overall seemed miserable. The food was terrible as we bit into a very cold kolache and when we asked to heat it up it really annoyed one of the girls. Coffee flavor was really good but I wouldn’t go back.
I really wanted to love this coffee shop and came here two days in a row. However, this is the slowest coffee shop I have ever visited, ever. I mean, there was one couple ahead of my group and it took over 15 minutes, maybe 20 to get our coffee. Our order wasn't even that complicated. I just thought the first day of slowness was a fluke, but the second day I came here it was even slower. If you are in any sort of rush, don't come here. My latté was very good, however.
This place was nothing like the photos and the service was not great. They were out of cream and instead of just putting the cream in my drink, I had to bring the empty canister to the bar and then she refilled it and put it down so I can bring it back to the station and fill my own drink. also I did not see any food but I went around 10:50 AM and perhaps their food is only served at a certain time.
well the spot and the ambiance is cool but i got a matcha latte and it was like straight up milk no matcha flavor the matcha was very brown as well not bright green and they used almond milk but it affected my stomach like dairy , and it was $8 something for it to be very disappointing the service was good just not very good drinks don’t know about the rest
