I come to Otro bar every time I come to San Antonio. The staff here is great. I always get good service. Sherry, Hunter, Connell, and Jasmine are fantastic.

Steven and Connell were absolutely delightful. They were friendly and inviting and helped us find great seats, drinks, and happy hour bites. A Wonderful Christmas Party Experience at Canopy & Otro! We recently hosted our Christmas party at the Canopy Hotel, with the celebration held at their restaurant, Otro, and it was an incredible experience! Everything was perfect—from the delicious food to the outstanding drinks and the warm, inviting atmosphere. A special acknowledgment to Ahsan Rafique, Jason Johnson, Vanessa Cedillo, Victoria Hatton, and Samuel Garcia for their exceptional service and dedication. Their attention to detail and professionalism ensured the event was seamless and truly memorable. Thank you to the entire team at Canopy and Otro for creating such a wonderful evening. This promises to be a downtown staple. Located on the third floor of the new Canopy, it's an open-air bar offering great signature tequila and mezcal cocktails with a cool presentation. The service is friendly and knowledgeable. Try the Despierto espresso and vodka cocktail- delicious. Also tried the Amor Prohibido, and The Mule. All were excellent. Overall a cool new place for tourists and locals alike.

Drinks were amazing and my bartender Briana is amazing. Definitely come out to Otro Rooftop Bar and tell her that Andre sent you.

We had a great experience at Lo Cura today! Leslie and Cecil took the time to tell us about the options on the menu and even gave me a sample! We decided on the Coco A Gogo and it was so creamy and delicious! We will definitely be coming here again! If you’re in SA make this stop!

Great new bar on the Riverwalk. Reservations highly recommended, or try to snag a seat at the bar. Service was top notch. Views are wonderful from the bar. Great drinks Minimal signage to get to the bar from the elevator. It’s on level 3, where the hotel community room and gym are. Worth a visit!

I enjoyed this fun bar space while staying at the Canopy Hotel. It's open to the public with bar seating on a first come basis, although the other tables typically require reservations. I appreciated the attentive service and liked the Riverwalker cocktail.

Found this gem on whim. Amazing atmosphere & A1 service. Jas & Conald were attentive & made the best cocktails. Hands down one of the best experiences in my life. I planned this event with Ahsan Rafique, the General Manager of Otro. There was no confusion, miscommunication, or anything of that sort concerning what they could accomplish and accommodate for our reception. To make a long story short, we flew in from Kentucky to meet up with and celebrate students and alumni in the area. What better place to do that than at the glorious Otro. From start to finish everything ran smoothly and we had the best time. Yes, the La Fruteria photo was the centerpiece, and yes, it was edible. We had so much food it was hard to walk away from the rest of it. Unfortunately I do not have photos of the Mini Waque Flautas, Short Rib Quesadillas, Elote Street Corn, Chicken Guarache, and Taco Station or they would be here!

Absolutely fantastic place to relax and grab a beverage (or 3) after a busy day. The selections are great, the staff is awesome, and the vibes are on point. Even in some unseasonably cold weather, Otro kept the service superb. Sherry specifically went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed, gave me a great run down on all the local options, and just all around ran a smooth ship. I recommend the Mula or love street for drinks. Didn’t have any food, but I’m sure it’s awesome.

Very Late review, but I went to Otro bar a few months ago to meet up with a friend who came to town and was blown away by the service! The Bartender Sean was amazing! So attentive and we loved all his recommendations! The Tuna Tostada was by far my favorite! I'm also a pretty picky drinker and he found me the perfect wine! Great views and atmosphere! Hope to visit again soon!

We stopped here for a few birthday drinks while waiting for our table at Domingos. The rooftop terrace was an excellent surprise. The open seating and views of both the river walk and street was wonderful. The drinks were very refreshing and the staff and service was very attentive. This was the perfect setting while waiting for our table to become available.

This place was such a fun and delicious spot! Yes, the plates were on the smaller side, but oh my gosh, that tuna tostada was EVERYTHING—so spicy 🥵 but totally worth it! I also loved the creative names of all the drinks; they added such a playful touch. The drinks themselves were just okay, but honestly, the vibe made up for it.

It’s March and the weather is beautiful and being here at Otro is the icing on the cake. Plus, our server, Briana, and the apps she recommended were off the charts. She was a beautiful young lady in personality/ disposition; if businesses had folks like her, businesses would be more frequented. Absolutely fantastic service and vibes. Make sure to try their Coco-A-Coco (frozen) for your piña colada lovers and the spiced cucumber marg (on the rocks) if you’re wanting something a bit more on the refreshing side. If you’re looking for a non-alcoholic beverage, the honeydew and cantaloupe agua frescas are very refreshing; they can also add your preferred liquor if you feel a bit more on the adventurous side. I highly suggest stopping by. Cecil and Leslie were absolutely fantastic and attentive. We didn't get a chance to try the food, but regretted not grabbing the “walking taco” if you're on the move. We had a small happy hour event at Otro and rented out the front area. Mo and Ahsan were a pleasure to work with, the service/servers were amazing, the food buffet they put together was delicious, and the room itself was beautiful. Prices seemed very reasonable as well for the event. Give them a shot, you won’t be disappointed!

I hosted a happy hour event at this location and it was absolutely flawless. The service was attentive and food was delicious. Ashan was amazing beforehand making sure all the details were locked in. All my guests loved the vibe. We had an amazing attentive waitress Sherry who made sure i always had a drink in my hand. There was a good range of drinks and I was happy they had mocktails for my pregnant sister in law. And the head of food Mo made sure everything came out on time. We enjoyed it so much we went back the next night.

Sherry at Otro Bar was absolutely wonderful! She was incredibly sweet and attentive to every single detail throughout my visit. The food arrived piping hot, and my drink was perfectly icy cold—just like her piercing eyes, which could stop time. Her warmth and professionalism made the experience truly exceptional. Can’t wait to return and be in her care again. Highly recommend!

Cindy served me the best frozen pina colada I’ve ever had! She and Cecil were both friendly. This mini bar is a great stop along your walk on the river.

Hot day on the river walk! Locura is the perfect shady oasis! Have an aqua fresca made by the fantastic Leslie, and either a walking taco or Mexican fruit cup made by the awesome Cecil! These two are an awesome team who made us feel so welcome! Food and drinks were perfect. For sure stop in.

I had a great time at Otro Bar while visiting San Antonio over the Labor Day weekend. The drinks were reasonably priced and our bartender, Elijah, was so nice. DJ Aga played all the right music. He was definitely one of the best DJ’s I’ve heard in quite some time. Just an all-around great vibe! I highly recommend!

Gabriella IS THE BEST bartenders I’ve ever had. I am not a big drinker …. I went ahead and asked her what’s on the menu that’s more lemony and can make a vodka base. This is San Antonio, you can get a great drink anywhere. The staff here made it exceptional! Chris never forgot my wife's or my name, not once, no matter how busy it got. Drinks were on point and the atmosphere, always memorable. If you don't stop here, you'll never know.

Most beautiful and breezy patio on the Riverwalk. Hands down! Foot pool is perfect for a hot day and the views at night are gorgeous! The craft drinks are not only delicious but made perfectly. Carol was wonderful and explained what was in each drink. Wow. I can't wait to come back when the DJ is here. ❤️ Will most definitely be back!

First timer to San Antonio’s riverwalk scene and let me tell you, John and Santiago were fantastic. The bar and atmosphere we top notch and a great place to both start and end our Riverwalk adventures. Their cocktail and alcohol selection were quirky and had a wide variety. Both John and Santiago were welcoming and knowledgable about the surrounding area. So if you are trying to chill and have fun come take a look. You wont regret.

Chris was fantastic! Fun conversation and the drinks were great. We’d return because of him. I felt bad for him and the other bartender. It was cold and they had no heat behind the bar. He made sure we were comfortable with the propane heater which was appreciated.

I love this place! Best Riverwalk views and reliable service and cocktails! Chris was fantastic in his service and mixing! We left feeling better than we walked in as always! You have to come here at least once! More than once if you have common sense.

This place has the scenery, art, cocktails & views! Even a mini pool for cooling off on SA’s hot summer days or nights! Simple menu & cocktails are under $15 Biggest Upset.. the bugs will try you!! Please keep in mind this is an outdoor space & we have to live with pesky bugs

This is a cool place and worth checking out for a drink. It's a nice break to be 'up above' the crowds on the Riverwalk while still getting a nice view, but more peaceful and chill.

I visited OTRO twice (26 and 27 Mar 2025) during my stay at The Canopy by Hilton and as a result of both visits, I concluded that I liked this bar...hence my 4-star rating. However, nothing is really validated unless you provide the reasons why you provided a specific rating, so here we go. During the initial visit, my wife and I ordered a couple of drinks; the La Mula (pictured) and a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon (not pictured) for a nightcap. We didn't end up staying too long because it was a bit breezy that evening and being from Las Vegas, we've acclimated to the desert heat (even though it does get cold there). Let's just add, we've become wimps in the cold weather, even after living in Alaska and other Northern states. The drinks were great, even though the Cab wasn't the best we've had, but considering the price, it was adequate. Fast forward to the next evening, I visited OTRO by myself because my family was attending a concert in the city so I wanted something quick without having to leave the property. I ended up ordering the same drink (La Mula) and the Tuna Tostada for my meal. The drink was still remarkable; however, I was a little taken back by the food quantity. Although the tostada tasted wonderful, I was disappointed with the (less) amount that's served. I guess there's two things I could've done prior to ordering it: (1) ask how many (or how big) the tostada is; and/or (2) realize that this item was listed under "small bites." I didn't order additional items as a result because there was a private event that was going on and it was bleeding into the bar area so I didn't feel like hanging around too long. The service was impeccable; the bartenders operated at top-notch speed. The prices were reasonable (I guess everything outside of Las Vegas seems reasonable to me these days). I did, however, wish there were more options of whiskey but it was great that I got to try something new. When I read about this bar online prior to visiting, it mentioned several times that this was a rooftop bar so I was a little bummed that it wasn't actually towards the top of the building as I presumed it would be since the word rooftop would normally make people think the very top of a building. Regardless, being on the third floor, it was still tranquil and provided good views to customers. Overall, this bar provides a relaxing feel and atmosphere, with a great music selection. Considering this is on the same floor as the fitness center, you can even have a few drinks then go workout in between - seems productive don't you think? On second thought, don't do that for safety reasons. Definitely recommend this bar to everyone staying on property.

First time visiting Otro bar, which i had been eagerly waiting to visit. Come to show the ambiance and cocktails were great as imagined, but service was not up to par. The gentleman at the bar had a strange vibe and wasn’t very welcoming. Despite how beautiful the outside terrace was, we had to move inside from how cold it was. I recommend they invest in heaters for the cold season. My fiancé had asked for an expresso martini and was received a different version from what we are used to. It was clearly obvious she didn’t like the cocktail and had been addressed to our server. the server did not recommend anything else nor did she seem sincere about it. We then asked for the tab and realized we received a local discount, however the cocktail that had not been drank was still on the tab. I then asked her if she could remove it from the check and the server proceeded to tell me that she gave us a local discount already on the check because of the dislike on the cocktail. I like the fact that she gave us an initial discount, however we didn’t ask for that all we wanted was the drink to be removed, and for her to throw the discount in our face came off a little rude. It was a very awkward and disappointing way i feel to end the experience. I don’t know if we will be back.

Otro Bar, located inside the Canopy Hotel by Hilton, has terrace with views of the historic San Antonio River Walk. There is some covered seated, namely at the bar. Otro Bar is extremely popular with hotel guests and the general public. When I was there, the bar was very busy with only two woman manning the bar and the tables on the terrace, which is why I waited for nearly a half hour for my drink and happy hour guacamole. To the credit of the two women working, they both remained calm and worked together during a rush and they were very friendly. I went because I had read that Otro Bar made good margaritas, which are not on the happy hour menu - instead there is a list of cocktails that are. While the "Weekend in Tulum" cocktail was tasty, it wasn't a margarita. Stylish interior decorating and friendly staff. Would have rated higher if hadn't had to wait more than a half hour for a cocktail and if the prices were lower (guests are paying for the scenery).

Location was great Service outstanding I am giving it 2 stars to bring attention to the management for two big problems : 1. Bar food menu is too limited. I had two delicious Ahi fish taco that wasn’t even on the menu. 2. The bamboo spork that comes with $15 bar food changes the flavor of the dish, really????!!!! Awful!!! I never thought I would say this, it’s better to have the plastics white fork and spoons.

I came here because the spot looked cool, but the service didn’t match the vibe. When I walked up to the bar, there was no hello, no smile, and no “I’ll be with you in a moment.” I was handed a menu and asked if I was ready. I sat there while other customers were helped, and the bartenders barely acknowledged anyone. The small bites were nothing special, and the drinks were average at best. For a place that looks this good, the lack of basic customer service is surprising. The only positive thing I can say is that the view was decent.

If there was a half star, thats what I would leave. The view is nice, but the Bartenders are not. Killed the whole experience.
