Epic clean, sports bar with great service, food and drinks. While Brian makes the best margaritas, Sean sets the atmosphere and brings personality to the table. Thanks gentlemen, great duo. The kitchens are pristine, offering a variety of options. If you don’t want to pay ticket prices for a game, this is the location to be a part of the atmosphere. Worth the visit!

We visited Banners Kitchen & Tap back in December and had the best experience! After arriving in Boston from traveling back from Maui, my husband, 2.5 year old and I were so hungry and really tired. We still had a few hours travel back to Maine but had a little time before our train departed. We have been wanting to go to Banners but hadn't made it until this trip and we were not disappointed! When we arrived, we had all of our luggage and were graciously assisted in stowing them away behind the welcome desk. The staff was so kind and accommodating. What we didn't realize is there was a Celtic's game starting a little while after we got there and the reservations were completely booked. They kindly offered us a table we could quickly eat at but they never made us feel rushed whatsoever. Our server was so speedy and incredibly nice. His table presence was fantastic and made us feel welcome immediately. Our food came out so quickly and was one of the best meals we could have hoped for. My daughter got the macaroni & cheese (not pictured) and the portion was more of an adult's size. The cavatappi pasta was perfect with a gooey, cheesy sauce that was delicious! We loved it. My husband got the Roast Beef sandwich (pictured) and not only was it a huge sandwich, it was flavorful and the sauce was super tasty. I got the smash burger and it was everything I wanted it to be. So so yummy and juicy even though the patties are thinner. The salad was really the perfect addition to the sandwiches, the dressing was incredible. Simple but so good! We will definitely be back to this great spot. Thank you to the staff for accommodating these weary travelers and providing us a great experience to finish off our long trip.

Banners in North Station never misses. Good eats, great drinks, and the atmosphere is perfect for catching any game. Huge screens, good energy, and the food comes out quick. It’s one of those spots you can roll into before or after a game and always have a good time. Highly recommend.

For group of 5 or more, highly recommend reserving a booth beforehand. This place gets packed fast. Good selection of drinks and food menu is decent. Service was great when we went. The huge TV wall is awesome!

Went there with my wife after a day in Lowell service was at a good pace great food and great sports atmosphere! It can get loud when busy but still able to hold a normal conversation and the food was really good! I got the pulled pork Mac cheese which was deceiving it looked big but was just the right amount without feeling too full. My wife got the salad which was very good. The Sam Adam's seasonal was on point will definitely go back if the opportunity allows it. Our server was also excellent very personal able and didn't make us feel rushed

Went before the Celtics game, great food and drinks! Bella had us in and out with all of our food in time for the game tonight! Bella said she was new, but served like a vet! Highly recommend!

Love this place! The wings are amazing, the atmosphere is fun with all the TVs, good music, great crowd, and friendly staff. Our server Jimmy was awesome! They go all out with the Halloween decorations, one of my favorite holidays! Perfect spot right next to the TD Garden.

Bartender Kristen was amazing!!! So friendly and answered every question I had…. For someone who has been in the field for a very long time, she provided exceptional service. I will 100% be back!!!!!!

We nipped into Banners for a quick drink before a reservation at Tony and Elaine’s nearby. I was really impressed with the scale of the place, and the screens!!! The beer choice on tap was excellent. Although we didn’t eat, we were sat at the bar near the kitchen. It looked meticulously clean and a slick operation. The food coming out looked delicious - would definitely go back if I was in Boston again! Thank you

Banners is seriously the ultimate sports bar! Stopped by just for drinks and to watch the hockey playoffs and had such a great time. The bartender Joe was so kind and friendly. Without having to ask, he put our game on a tv we could easily see. The vibe of this place was unmatched and it was so fun to watch all the different sporting events going on.

Absolutely awesome sports bar! As a visitor from Germany, I was hoping to catch the Bayern Munich game – and the staff went out of their way to make it happen. They switched one of the TVs just for me, even though it wasn’t a local game. Super friendly service, great atmosphere, and plenty of screens to watch whatever you’re into. Can’t recommend this place enough – they made me feel right at home!

Honestly, the huge screens and atmosphere gives it a more upper scale sports bar restaurant. Perfect spot to view sports and entertainment. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and Buffalo cauliflower. The fried food appears to be double fried but my meal was overly crunchy and hard for me. Overall, I think it’s a great menu selection and the vibes are awesome! I definitely will come back!

First time at Banners and it was a great experience. Jake the bartender was very attentive. He made sure our drinks were never dry and our bellies were full. We will definitely be back! Thank you Jake :)

One of my favorite sports bars in Boston! Great place to go prior to an event at the Garden, , catch any game that’s on, or just hang out with your friends! The bar staff is great, and was phenomenal as usual on Tuesday evening. Always checking in to see if I needed anything. Will be back soon!

Greeted right away when my boyfriend and I arrived. The red haired bartender was exceptional—attentive, personable and added a great energy to the evening. Highly recommend the wings as they did not disappoint. Excellent food and great service for a Saturday night out. Will definitely be going back!

Got invited to watch the Celtics at TD Garden with my friends Jason and Colin, (I got asked last minute, I think I was the 3rd wheel) and we stopped at Banners for dinner. It was quite the experience. Our server Bella was excellent, she was calm and professional amid all of the chaos. Thank you Banners you made me feel like the front wheel on a tricycle.

Went to banners before a Celtics game. Food was great, drinks were great and our bartender Kristen was AMAZING! Very attentive, very friendly and made our time there so much fun!!! Will definitely be back!

Went to Banners for the first time before a Celtics game. I got the smash burger with sweet potato fries and it was delectable! Kijonna is an amazing waiter!! She made sure we were taken care of at all times!! Very friendly young woman. She made us feel at home, an experience you don’t get at many restaurants these days. Will be returning soon!

I go to many Bruins games and events at the garden and Banners has been my go to for years because of Kristen! She is hands down one of the best bartenders I’ve ever seen and provides exceptional and quick service even when it’s slammed before a game. Kristen is the best!!!

I went here with my husband before my first Bruins game for our anniversary. Great food & atmosphere but our favorite part was the server Michael A. He was so accommodating and reassuring when it came to my husband's food allergies and made us feel comfortable right away making sure everything was safe. Food came out super fast, he stayed filling my water and even gave us some Bruins swag for our anniversary. thank you for everything Michael! We will definitely be coming back in the future

A

Michael was amazing! Super friendly, fast, and made sure we had everything we needed the whole time. He kept our drinks full, got our food out quick, and was just really fun to talk to. You can tell he enjoys his job and cares about the customers. Made our night way better—definitely ask for Michael if you go. Thanks, man!

Kristen and Jackie were our two primary bartenders. Them, as well as the entire staff behind the bar, we super attentive and kind, despite how busy they were on a Bruins game night. It was a great experience!

Delicious food and great service. Kristen and Jackie made sure my bud lights stayed full all night long! They even switched the world series game to a lower TV so we could see the game better. Definitely recommend and will be back!!

Last evening, before a concert, my wife and I had dinner at Banners. It was our first time at your restaurant. The food was was great and was creative and the presentation was creative. Our server Nicolas D. was OUTSTANDING!! He was friendly, professional and was totally on point!! In addition, other staff members who assisted were also wonderful. Thank you all and we'll be sure to return and let our friends and family how great you restaurant is.. Thanks, Dr. Dan Jordan

I came into the sports bar Banners prior to attending Bruins game. The bar was full but the bartenders spot me in the crowd and knew I needed a drink. Not usually a fan of Long Islands but it came recommended to me (by the bartender, Jackie) called the Boston Tea Party. WOW! I think I have a new favorite drink ❤️ The space is great, service is impeccable. Good vibes all around. Would definitely recommend this bar.

Went in before the bruins game and the impression that the bartender Devin had left encouraged me to make this review (I never write reviews). His personable personality and service was genuinely amazing. Plus with the great drinks and atmosphere I will definitely be seeing myself coming back!

This the the best spot before and after games. And if you go when it’s not too busy, make sure to see Jackie at the bar. The hot girl with the tattoos. She can talk sports all day and was so fun to hang out with! I was only going to stay for a drink after work but I’m hooked. Thanks Jackie for the hospitality you’re the best!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great experience at Banners Kitchen & Tap! The flatbread was delicious. The buffalo chicken wings were a bit too spicy for me, but still very good. Our server was friendly and attentive. Special thanks to Anderson—he really made the experience stand out. Very pleasant, polite, and clearly an excellent manager based on how he interacts with both staff and guests. Would definitely recommend.

Good spot if you want to grab food before going to TD Garden! This place is huge, tons of tables, booths, and a large bar area. It is two floors, would recommend making a reservation if you have a bigger party. The drinks were fun and unique and the food was your classic pub style food. I really liked the turkey club, was fresh, good flavor and the parmesean fries are definitely a must. Tons of TVs in here, perfect if you're watching a game. Pretty loud, good energy in here, overall a fun spot. Our server was really helpful and attentive.

S
Steven Hall

Food was great but it took awhile even with a nearly empty restaurant. The atmosphere is the perfect place to watch a sporting event, dozens of huge TVs and are quite viewable from everywhere in the place. I would definitely go again even though the kitchen was incredibly slow even with no one in the restaurant and not a single soap dispenser worked in the men’s bathroom, apparently there are some on the sides? Perhaps just get the ones you have fixed though.

This place was so magical, it’s so pretty and big! The food was alright, the drinks were strong, the music was perfect. Definitely would go again to try other foods and other drinks. The Mac and cheese was like homemade, not boxed. The wings I got were honey bbq, the were perfect for me. Not too crisp but not too soft. The side salad with the smash burger was excellent. The smash burger itself could’ve relaxed with the salt but all together it was delicious. We were full for our concert and we just had an amazing experience there.

Cool place to check out, a very upscale sports bar. There is a lot to take in here! Good ambiance and liked watching the kitchen areas. Really enjoyed the lobster roll and this crazy fireworks dessert was fun to watch! A bit of a delay in posting from a trip.

M

Cool and slightly upscale sports bar. Great before/after any event in the garden. Good for watching sports, though TV’s are only on main wall so can be awkward for people trying to watch facing the other direction (though chairs swivel). Really cool booths. Has one of the biggest TV’s ever seen (almost the size of a 2 story wall). Used to have a GREAT beer list, but is now pretty pedestrian in my opinion. Food is slightly upscale pub food and slightly overpriced, but you’re paying for ambiance.

C
Craig Hoey

We came here as an alternative to seeing the game live in the garden as we weren’t able to get tickets. We were told it would be a 45 min wait but luckily we were called back to a great table in 10 mins. Really cool bar and all the screens make it ideal for watching a variety of sports. Service was pretty slow and inconsistent. We had the pretzel which was fantastic, we also had a variety of drinks, huge number to choose from! The atmosphere was lacking, especially considering this was a sports bar. It felt like the customers really weren’t behind the team which was a shame and far different to other cities I’ve visited. All in all a great place to watch the game.

Had a great time watching a Celtics game with friends here! The food was alright, but the service was great. Michael was super friendly and helpful, checking on us consistently throughout the night and making sure we were enjoying ourselves. Would definitely come back!

A great place to watch any game or grab a bite to eat/drink before or after a game at the Garden! It’s huge inside, plenty of seats in the dining area and at the bar and on multiple floors. You can see TVs from pretty much any seat you’re in. The burgers are really good and so is the buffalo chicken dip. Service was great, everyone’s very friendly. Will definitely be back!

We did come in at a very busy time, considering there’s a concert this evening at TD Garden. Because of that, we were very okay with the fact that there were no tables open and only standing room. Luckily, we could order food wherever we were. We waited for a server and ended up having to find one ourselves to take care of us after about 10 minutes of waiting. She has been nice and taken care of us for the most part, but unfortunately the service has been sub par. Our food was good, but we were never checked on to make sure we were happy. I’m sure she was very busy and I get that, but we all work in restaurants, so we have expectations. The pre-bussing was nonexistent. See photos. Also wanted to note that although the bathrooms were clean and stocked, the staff were wearing their aprons while using the restroom as well as changing the trash - which is disgusting. Overall, not a bad experience, but not amazing. I’m sure if it was less busy this would’ve been a better experience.

Banners was packed on the night of a Katy Perry concert! We opted to stand at a table for no wait. Great beer selection. We just got apps - the guacamole and chips were phenomenal. Better guacamole than ive had at a lot of Mexican joints. However the BBQ chicken and pickle flatberad was a bust. Pickles had no flavor, chicken was mediocre. Thank God my wife got the guacamole because the flatbread was a big bummer. Definitely a cool sports bar though with great service!

Eating at upper level bar lounge before Bruins game. We got a table right off, which was nice given the busy timing. However the waitress was untrained in how to manage the order of service for multiple tables. (it was hard to watch given that I’ve been a waitress for years.) We both got the burger, which looked and sounded great. It was made to order which was nice. However, way too big for the bun and super messy (see pic). Really dry needed either more cheese or something else to not make it not so dry. French fries were awesome!

Went for a Celtics playoff game. The atmosphere did not disappoint. The whole restaurant is directed towards the GIANT tv screen. The game is playing, people are cheering, and the drinks are flowing, it's a fun place to be. Our service was a tad slow but it was busy as hell so I wasn't mad at all. Got the onion rings, guacamole, and a lobster roll special as appetizers. The guac was pretty good for a sports bar but the chips were too salty. The onion rings were standard, but the lobster roll was very good. My entree was the Banners' burger and that was decent as well. The burger was a little overcooked and the fries were oversalted, but it was still good. In the end, I would really only come here for a big sports game because of the giant tv wall. Otherwise your local sports bar is arguably better because it's probably cheaper there. The food was oversalted and the tv was a TAD too loud to be there for more than a couple hours watching a game. However, my experience was still positive and I will be back for more playoff games.

Drinks were seriously made perfectly BUT the staff were sadly very rude. They rolled their eyes when we asked for simple drinks (not yelling or snapping at them, simple “excuse me when you get a moment…”) Wouldn’t check in with us, sat in a small corner and talked with eachother but didn’t acknowledge guests personably. Again, drinks were great but service wasn’t the kindest.

I had high hopes for a big sports bar right at TD Garden. Normally the big sports bars by any arena/stadium in most cities I’ve been to are great and cater to the sports fans. This one, not so much. Came to Boston for the weekend to watch the Bruins play 3 home games and came in to Banners to watch one of the games we didn’t have tickets to. Obviously was hoping for a great game vibe that I know is here in Boston. It was not busy at all, and there was a ton of wait staff, but it took forever for someone to even come over to us, let alone get drinks (15min to get a coke). Seemed to be the trend for the night. The worst part for me was that no one seemed to care that the game stream was awful; kept cutting out, going all blotchy, and missing key moments. It got so bad they actually stopped showing it on the main screen, which meant we had to crane our necks to try and watch on a tiny tv. What did they put on instead? Rodeo. We are at TD Garden during a Bruins game and you put a rodeo on the main screen? That, and an MLB replay of the 1995 playoffs. Like, come on. Literally the only reason we came in was to watch the game.

The giant t.v. to watch the game on was not working. Then our appetizers came out with our dinners. Couldn't enjoy the apps or our dinners would get cold then when we finished dinner, all of our apps were cold. Waitress blamed it on something being wrong with the ovens. There were only 3 other tables of diners. The restaurant was practically empty. So not sure how they could screw up our food. The steak was really salty and so was the salmon. Salads and burgers were good

B
Blake Vaughn

Hate to leave a bad review here cause this is a great place to watch sports, but my Fat Rooster chicken sandwich is straight up raw. Also the service was pretty inattentive, I asked for water once and it didn’t show up for an hour before I just went to the bar and asked for water. Maybe get the pretzel or the onion rings instead, otherwise the beer and cider selection is good.

T
Tyler Swanson

Put a name in for a table and get the text the table is ready after 10 or so minutes. Walk up to the hostess only to learn that someone else has taken our table and can't be moved. Assured that we were next up for a table. 25 minutes pass, we check in again only to find out it's now a 30 minute estimate for another table.

A
Aj S

Completely Unacceptable Service We went to Banners today for dinner around 7 pm with my wife and our toddler and left without ever being served. The restaurant was not busy and we were seated immediately, yet we were ignored for over 15 minutes. No greeting, no water, no acknowledgment of any kind. During this time, few tables seated after us were actively served, with servers repeatedly checking on them and others while clearly seeing us waiting. One server serving the adjacent table intentionally avoided eye contact and later sat down checking his phone instead of helping us. Another staff member stood nearby, looked directly at our table, laughed with the same server, and still made no effort to assist. It was deeply unprofessional and frankly disrespectful — a family patiently waiting with a toddler seemed more like a joke to them than paying customers. At least three staff members were standing idle within feet of us, yet no one took responsibility. We ultimately decided to leave. The manager offered to reseat us and promised better service, but by then the dismissive treatment had already ruined the evening. This was not a busy-night issue — it was a clear failure of professionalism, accountability, and basic hospitality. Management needs to seriously address staff behavior. No guest should ever be treated this way.

A

Took 45 minutes to get a cup just to drink something. Took two hours to ask if we wanted food. Food hasnt come for over an hour and not a single check in. Worst experience ever. We have been here for almost 4 hours and still no food has come out. Absolutely pathetic and their manager is a total joke. Still waiting. We asked 30 minutes ago to make the burgers to go because now after almost 4 hours we are late to event. Still no update on burgers.

O
Olivia Ramos

Extremely rude hostess. They told us to wait 10 minutes for a table to be cleaned and we agreed. After 20 minutes of still waiting, multiple tables that came in after us were seated while we were still waiting. After we asked again, the one hostess looks at us confused like she obviously forgot we were waiting for a table although we were right in front of them? We mentioned they sat multiple tables before sitting us and the other hostess started giving an attitude saying “Well we’re sitting you now.” Management here needs to really step in and hire better hosts. We won’t be back.

A
Andrew Chase

Cool environment, decent food and drinks. Only writing a review to suggest a coaching opportunity for the hostess stand - particularly the younger brunette lady with one-word responses, no idea how to handle volume and a permanent, wide-eyed look that says, “I think I’m supposed to act friendly, but I’m not sure how”. Her attitude portrayed the exact opposite of what a host/hostess job is designed to portray, so this role may not be her calling. Everyone else working here that we interacted with seemed friendly enough, but first impressions as they say…

This is the first time I've ever written a negative review. Our experience at Banners was so bad, we thought we were being punked. It was almost comical. We were meeting friends to watch the Blue Jays-Dodgers game on Saturday evening. Two of us arrived about thirty minutes before the reservation, so we explained that - if there was room - we'd love to order drinks and an appetizer while we waited for the rest of the group. We assured the hosts that we were happy to sit at the bar or a smaller table if our table for six wasn't ready yet. The hosts were great, and they said they could seat us at our table and would send a server over right away. They provided us with menus to browse and we thought, "This is perfect! This night is going to be amazing!" Sadly, we spoke too soon. Although the bar was less than half empty, and we saw many staff walking around or congregating near one of the server's stations talking, laughing, and looking at their phones, it took nearly 25 minutes to flag one down. He sent over a different server, who immediately blamed the hosts for not "setting our table up properly" with utensils and napkins, so she didn't realize that we were wanting to order. My husband and I each ordered a drink and a shared appetizer, and the server came back a few minutes later to confirm which cider my husband wanted. He named it, and she said, "That's not what you told me, but I'll get it for you anyway." When our drinks and appetizer arrived, we requested utensils and were informed that THEY DIDN'T HAVE ANY AVAILABLE. I'm sorry...what now? You're a restaurant, and you don't have forks??!? At this point, two other guests arrived and they also ordered drinks and an appetizer. When their order arrived, we requested napkins and the server said she'd have to check and see if they had any. Again...you're a restaurant...and you don't have napkins?!?! She eventually came back with a stack of cloth napkins and dropped them on the table. As we were seated near the back of the bar, away from the main screens, we requested that the two tv's in our area be turned to the World Series, and she said she'd check if that was possible. One screen was changed, and when we asked about the second she said that she'd told the manager but that "he's a bit of a scatter brain so he may have forgotten." If you're keeping count, that's now the hosts, my husband, AND her manager that she's blamed for various mix-ups (and she blamed the hosts for not setting up the table with utensils and napkins before telling us that THEY DIDN'T HAVE ANY UTENSILS AND NAPKINS...sigh...). By this point, the final two people in our group arrived and we all ordered drinks and main meals. While we waited, orders were brought to our table no fewer than three times that weren't ours, and when our food eventually arrived it was ALL delivered to the wrong table. The server literally had to pick our plates back up from in front of other guests and bring them over to us. We still didn't have utensils, btw. Half of the meals were cold when they arrived, and my burger (which I had requested well done) was fully red on the inside. I'm all for a medium rare steak, but I don't mess around with ground beef. The server finally scrounged up ONE set of utensils for the person at our table who truly couldn't eat her meal without a fork, and dinner began. Throughout the rest of the evening while we watched the game, nothing was cleared from our table, and we ended up clearing our own appetizers dishes and used glasses and putting them on a nearby empty table. In addition, the bathrooms were filthy (and I don't say that lightly...I've used outhouses and latrines in pretty sketchy places, and worked as a janitor for a few years. I've seen things. These bathrooms were nasty). Why did we stay? We asked ourselves that same question multiple times throughout the evening. Mostly, we stayed for the game and the beer. Also, we're Canadian so we're pre-programed to give people the benefit of the doubt, and hope it got better. Alas, it did not, and we won't be returning.
