Park 54 Restaurant & Lounge

I am so glad I decided to bring my daughter here! The food is well seasoned and to my liking. The lemon pepper wings were amazing, nice, lemony and crunchy! The candy yams were sa-weeeeet and yummy, just how Iike them, and the steak frites, were mouth watering and my daughter just loved the steak! We had more but let me not bore you with words when you can take a look at all we enjoyed!

Great brunch all you can eat for &35 they have a regular menu as well. The Mac and cheese had no flavor. Everything else was great. They had a cool Mimosa tower! The music, a little loud though.

We had the Cajun wings, the colosal shrimp and the shrimp and grits. All was fabulous! Super friendly service too. I had forgotten what real good collard greens are supposed to taste like, theirs were amazing! Will be back!

Now Baby this is it. The food was the bomb me and my fiance went here on a Thursday night around 9:30 and we were sat immediately inspite of a full place. The service was tremendous and very professional. This is my 3rd time here but for some reason it felt like my first time. The muffins are wonderful. I'm definitely thinking bout having my bday here.

I had a wonderful experience here. The wait staff was friendly, kind and the food was really good! Our meals were swift in getting to our table but, you know what?...we stayed longer because the DJ had us swaying! Lol A nice spot to check out.

I went here last week and I had the time of my life over here. The interior of this place is beautiful combined with the food and service makes this one of the Best Black Restaurants and Restaurants period in Boston. The complimentary muffins they give you is so addictive, while the drink I ordered was a Red sangria tasted so right and the Rasta Pasta with chicken I ordered is one of the best I’ve eaten. I would definitely come here again. In addition to what I previously said, here are more photos of Park 54 and it’s food I ate at later visits and also when you stop by at Park 54 I want you to give praise to the Chef Khadijah who works there. She is the best Chef I ever met and that woman works too hard to not get the respect she deserves.

Food, vibes, and service were immaculate. Drinks were good. We really loved the shrimp and grits and the fried chicken wings (not pictured). Service was truly above and beyond exceptional, so attentive and professional. Awesome music was playing. The bar looked fun too.

Love it here; the food is delicious and always fresh. The vibe is right. The servers are great and the staff is friendly. I’ve also come here with my kids and servers like Lulu made it feel good to not feel like that was a hassle. Elijah is always working the room making sure everyone is happy. I’m happy Hyde park has a place to vibe out to.

I came here from Philly excited to try the shrimp, lobster, crab and grits. Unfortunately the grits weren't ready to my disappointment. I had the oxtail, rice beans and collars which were amazing. The white sangria was to refreshing. The chef came out later and apologized and gave me an order of the shrimp and grits to go which was appreciated. Great atmosphere and service I also seen Jason Tatum.

Not crowded at the time of our visit. Food was subpar. Fried pork chops were good… lemon pepper wings were way too salty, loaded fries were mediocre, corn muffins and candy yams were good. .*Updated review… revisited with a friend and the hospitality provided by the owners was top notch! Janet was phenomenal, she really made our experience truly amazing! The food was good, I had the Rasta pasta it was definitely spicy! The music was great as well! Would definitely come back again!

If you haven't been, YOU NEED TO visit this gem in Hyde Park. Service is great, food is amazing and the patrons seem like friends from the neighborhood decided to go eat at the same time. Lol. My wife and I went around 1230 for brunch on a Sunday. I'll be honest, for two brunch meals at 35 a pop, 2 mimosas a piece and 2 desserts to go, the price was 200. 🤯 just don't get the mimosas. Lol but this is an absolute must! You'll thank me later. Oh, yeah, the DJ and music was so on point! I just wish the volume was a tad lower. But all in all no complaints!

I love this place! Seriously, they can have all my money because I had an amazing time here. The food was amazing. I had the Rasta pasta, I also tried the Mac & cheese (I kept stealing my mother’s catfish strips tho. Those were truly top tier. Staff was very polite and inviting. I can’t wait to return!

The Restaurant was clean and well put together. The food was great & the blueberry lemon drop was excellent. Coming from a 20 year Server/Bartender our server wasn’t very attentive ☹️. We just felt like she disappeared a lot during our meal, and it was weird because the restaurant wasn’t crazy busy. But she was sweet! The guy pouring waters was extremely nice and sweet as well, The chef even stopped by to ask us how our meal was. Overall I’d return and hope the next time our server would be more attentive.

Great food, amazing modern soul food. The cocktails are great as well. Super friendly staff. The shrimp sauce in the shrimp and grits was spicy but not burn your mouth hot. Best grits in Boston!

First time there service was great, drinks were good. I ordered the Hennessey barbecue honey wings and the spicy calamari. Well the chicken was over cooked and didn't taste like Hennessey barbecue honey. Calamari was cold. Didn't even wanna take the left overs. Beautiful establishment in need of a dance floor or at least have karaoke night. They have a DJ but no dance floor. Big screen TV's that are awesome for watching the games!!!

Nice venue, drinks were very good. Street parking. Food was decent definitely would return.

11/13/22 - 6:15p reservations Arrived right before 6:10 and got seated right away. It was a busy night. Although our server (Lindsey) was great, the kitchen was behind and our food took an hour to come out. Service and food were GREAT but the timing to get the food was poor. Despite the delays with the kitchen, I would give this restaurant another try as the food and service were great. The server indicated that it's typically not backed up like it was tonight.

I tried park 54 for the first time during dine out week, we were a group of 4. The food was great I had the fried snapper, I was surprised it was flour fried I'm use to skin fried snapper but it was still delicious. I will say the peach cobbler came out cold, the manger did apologize about that. The lemonade and cornbread are absolutely delicious. The hostess did come over and tell us she needs our table about 10 minutes after we paid despite the 5 tables around us being completely empty and upstairs was empty as well we were there around 430 pm on a Thursday.

Food is amazing, a bit pricey but worth it. I came during the summer so I guess it was still pretty new and maybe they were still getting used to the new business, but the service was okay. Our server was really nice but would forget about us a lot and we had to remind her and the food took quite a while. I’d say we were probably waiting like 40 min in total for our food, like 20 for our entrees and definitely another 20 just for our dessert. They are super busy all the time so reservations are needed and the food is delectable. The drinks are really strong

This was my first time coming here and let me tell you. I'm mad I waited this long. The music in here was a vibe and the staff were so nice and patient. It took my friend awhile to arrive but as I was waiting those cute little cornbread muffins were a delicacy. My tastebuds were yearning for more I could not stop eating them. My friend got the steak Rasta pasta and I ordered oxtails with two sides which were mac and cheese and collard greens. The oxtails were good, just wish it was a bit more seasoning. The collard greens and mac and cheese were a hit and the drinks expensive but was the icing on top. The ambiance and the historical photos throughout the place give it a chic look. Only wish the booth was a bit cleaner. Place can get packed easily and I see why. Definitely, best to make reservations. I cannot wait to take my mom here.

The staff was really friendly. My rice and peas was cold when it arrived to my table. I did not like the rice and peas but I could be bias. The wings was really good. I did not like the sautéed green peas, I think it should’ve been cooked before sautéing it. It’s a nice environment and very clean.

Food was delish. Really nice ambiance. Fried catfish was devine, nice big piece, light crispy breading with a bunch of flavor. Mac and cheese is really good, great cheesy flavors, the perfect choice of pasta (cavatelli with the ridges along the pasta *perfect*) The corn bread muffins are SO DAMN GOOD every part of them is masterfully done and the flavors sing together. They are tini tiny and I think calling them muffin bites on the menu might help them not get people disappointed by the size. Wasn't a huge fan of the fries. My drink was way too sweet, really not good imo but they're still working on their drink menu so hopefully they come up with some good ones.

I’ve been several times including during the soft opening. Has definitely progressed. Love love love the music. Food was great too however the mac and cheese was cold:-( catfish and grits awesome. *Edit* Just looked at my credit card statement and looked at my receipt, and apparently I was automatically charged a 20% gratuity. And the bartender failed to tell me that was on there. So I actually added an additional 25%! Owners, you should really school your bartender & wait staff to inform the patron. I get it if you have a large party, 5 or more, but just the 2 of us at the bar? Come on!

Went out to celebrate my niece birthday. The restaurant had good vibes, the music was ambient, the service was alright, our server did not smile or have “energy”. The food was delicious.

It's a great vibe! Music, bingo, and ppl just having a time. Food wasn't bad steak tips were too sweet and wings were kinda warm. Mac and cheese and rasta pasta was bomb. I was surprised by the price but still had a good time.

Food was just alright. Everytime I visit Boston I look for black owned restaurants and the atmosphere was great but the Restaurant Pasta is waaaay too spicy for my liking and the Mac and cheese had no flavor. The calamari was very chewy. The oxtails were good but fatty. The water boy stayed on his job and I approached that. The manager did give us a round of drinks on the house though so that was nice of him. I would go back though just to support.

The food is extremely delicious and not overpriced. The space is cozy and perfect for a date night or hanging out with friends. There’s a variety of ways you can experience oxtails. Say yes to the shrimp and grits!

I can really only give my opinion about the atmosphere. I didn't eat here. It's a really nice place. I would like to go again and try the food. I had a peach drink (not sure of the name), I didn't like it . It was too strong, I didn't taste peach, more pineapple . I wouldn't get it again

The food is to die for, absolutely amazing but the service was beyond slow from the moment you enter the door. The host and the waiters take a long time and the atmosphere was subpar to say the least but the tribute decorations dedicated to the black regiments was a lovely touch. 7/10 overall rating. Hennessy Honey bbq wings 7/10 Catfish dinner with rice n beans and Mac and cheese 7/10 Drinks 9/10 just an average “you can make better at home type of dinner”

I was very excited to try out Park 54 for the first time and went for my birthday. Unfortunately I was disappointed. The cocktails were watery and the loaded fries had no cajun seasoning. I ordered the fried catfish with greens and Mac n cheese. The Mac n cheese was bland. I added salt and pepper and it came to life. The greens were good and so was the catfish so 2/4 things ended up being good. I might go here again but it won’t be on the top of my list of places to frequent. I will say that the atmosphere was beautiful and I appreciated the energy. Maybe it was just an off night? 🤷🏿‍♀️

The food was delicious but the wait time for the waitress and food kills the experience. It was Friday night and super busy so it is to be expected but over hour to get entree order in and about three hours total is too much. May try again but def earlier in day or evening.

I tried this restaurant yesterday for the first time. Food is good, the host and waiter are nice. It was really busy since it was around 6pm-7pm. However, they had maybe 7-8 people extremely intoxicated at the bar singing and yelling. I had to scream across the table to speak and couldn’t even focus during my conversation or really enjoy the food. One of the gentlemen from the bar continuously walked around sitting at random customers tables talking. One lady even moved her plate away confused. why are intoxicated people allowed to wonder around an establishment bothering paying customer. I’m also certain that bartenders are no allowed to serve alcohol if a person is visibly too intoxicated… I enjoyed the food but very disappointed with how the night was managed- don’t think I’d go back.

The Waitress was not attentive. I had to get her attention after 15 minutes before I could order lemon pepper wings. It took 5 minutes before they came out and they where on the dark side and did have a not lemon pepper taste.

Everything is great here and I mean everything but I am very pissed off that I just spent 88.28 in this store tonight and got some candies yams that were ten dollars…. I was never in my big back mind thinking they were ever gunna turn around and give me the smallest container of yams going…clearly this is a big order for more than one person but the serving of these yams is for one person and yet they are charging folks ten dollars for it with my order being 88 dollars the least they could have done was throw in a free cup of yams I means why not I purchased two cups anyway if you ask me

Our server, Kendall was excellent, but almost everything but the service was lackluster. The wait for the food was super long and the taste of the food was not worth the wait. After waiting close to an hour, we were told one of the items we ordered was no longer available. Our roasted cauliflower didn't have any salt or seasoning, the seafood medley had way too much salt, a confusing amount of paprika and just didn't taste good. They did not take the time to clean the green beans before cooking it. This place has a long way to go, but as it is now Park54 was not an enjoyable dining experience. The ambience is nice, but the menu does not consider dietary restrictions and more than half the items on the menu aren't available.

Went for the weekend brunch $30. The ambience was good and the waitress was very helpful especially with the drinks. Check their instagram as the website menu does not tell all. They are working on it. The food can be hit or miss but mostly was not for me. Young lady served all guests as they walked thru the buffet and I liked that. The mac cheese didnt have much seasoning not even parsley. One scoop of grits gets you one shrimp. The creole sauce was not for me. Catfish was probably the best part of the buffet. Chicken wings bland the biscuits had either pancake or jiffy mixed in it was weird for me. The mismosa tower gets you 5 mimosas for $60. The drinks are very pricey. On another note I like what they are doing here maybe if they taste their food and tweak a few things they could be around for a bit.

Waited 15min for waitress to even acknowledge us. It was not busy at all. Then another 15 minutes before she came to take our order. Food was less than mediocre. Drinks were all juice and the Bajan Persuasion drink was gritty. Soda we were told was Coca Cola products but tasted like watered down soda syrup. Waitress never came to see how our meal was. Ended up leaving hungry because the food was not good. Only decent items were the candied yams and mini cornbread Fried catfish was soggy which usually means it is frozen not fresh. Henny honey bbq wings were bland and lacked flavor "Baked" mac & cheese was pure grease and not baked nor hot Collard greens were flavorless Pork chops were moist but lacked flavor

this happened this past week and if i could give no stars, i would. there was a stapler in my mac and cheese………….my boyfriend called them and left them a message letting them know and requesting a callback for a full refund and they never called him back. not to mention, the mac and cheese was bland and had no flavor at all. never again and i do not recommend at all.
