Great sport bar with a fun vibe. Nice selection of beers plus a full bar. The 4 cheese pizza was excellent. The chicken strips appetizer had good flavor but was dry and overcooked. Service was great. It can get crowded so I recommend reservations to ensure getting a table.
During our first visit to Boston, we discovered this restaurant near our hotel. We enjoyed dinner there for two consecutive nights and loved everything about it: the music, the excellent food, and the great atmosphere. The service from the waiters was fantastic, with positive energy and an upbeat attitude. I can’t wait to come back soon!
I love the experience I had at this restaurant the food was delicious and the staff was so kind to me ❤️❤️❤️
Service was outstanding. The waiters were welcoming and easygoing. The food tasted pretty standard, portions were filling for what you paid. I got a buffalo chicken wrap and clam chowder. The blue cheese dressing was a bit rich for my liking. Otherwise, everything was great!
Popped in late night for a bite. Staff was so friendly and just made the stop in a beauty. Drinks are delicious! Try the Pistachio Martini!!! Chowder was delicious and served piping hot! Fresh ingredients and great presentation. Will be back!
The extra block from the crowded bit of the north end makes everything much calmer. Excellent dog-friendly outside patio.
In from Galveston, TX again this last week. All was good and we will be back in June. First post: First trip to Boston since Jan 2020. Another great visit last night with great food and drink. There was a bit of a wait for food because the kitchen was slammed. BUT, well worth it. The latest pic is their Fusilli Pasta with rabe and sausage - really good! (Pic color a little off) We found Rocco's a few years back and return to dine there several times a year. Last night, we celebrated my wife's birthday and had the best food and enjoyed friendly and perfectly timed service. Great atmosphere with mostly locals. We also had the privilege of meeting Rocco. A must visit for the North End.
On August'23 we had the pleasure to eat the best pizza we had in our visit to USA. Thanks for the good food and for your kindness. * Lunch and dinner since we couldn't finish it in the restaurant 😅
Atmosphere was great bar restaurant combo. Also great place to watch games. It was cozy and had great lighting which was dimmed. Got chicken broccoli was very good. My wife had eggplant which was good. Bread and oil was tasty. Appetizer aroncini was amazing. Waitress was awesome. Vibes were great. Highly recommend
We were in town for 4 nights and we went here twice. We really liked the food and how fast it came out. The chicken saltambucca and parm were both top notch. My wife said the Italian wedding soup was some of the best she's had. Service was also great.
Awesome restaurant!
Great chill spot. Very friendly staff. Good food as well. Good the sirloin steak tips medium rare with frites. Couldn’t be happier. Recommended for a casual laid back bar/dining experience!
Went for Sunday brunch with my wife and it was excellent. Cool and attentive waitstaff, and awesome food (and lots of it) for very reasonable prices. We'll be going back to try lunch and dinner.
In Boston because our ship pulled into the Coast Guard base. Ordered a ton of pizzas and they were amazing! Can’t leave the base but it was nice to get some excellent food while we are here! Thank you!
Probably the best sports bar in the north end. Always have the games on, good music and the staff is friendly and courteous!
Shevreen is the best host and bartender of all Boston! The food is amazing, the drinks are incredible and the hospitality is second to none! shevreen will serve you your favorite drink, or whip up something that fits your pallet! You name it, you got it! This is such a fun and friendly atmosphere that you will want to come back for more!! Love this place!!
Frankly speaking, 5 stars is an understatement. Of all of the “smaller” bars in Boston this is tied for first. The bar staff, lead by Shervin, is one of the best in the city. The atmosphere he creates alongside and very attentive service staff is unmatched. Coupled with the 10/10 kitchen, this is a must visit if you are in the area.
I am so blessed to have Roccos as my neighborhood spot! In all of the North End I come here, its so homey and I know that I'll have a wonderful experience every time. Food is great! Ingredients are fresh and it always comes out piping hot. What keeps me coming back though is the staff! Could they be more wonderful? I dont know, but they know hospitality that's for sure. Bartender Shervin really makes everyone feel welcome, appreciated, and he makes it really fun. They've added events/themed parties every month that have been SUCH a good time!! So that's exciting. Come to Roccos and its a for sure good time!
This is one of the most authentic and enjoyable casual Italian restaurants in the North End. (And I'm Italian.) Amazing food, service and ambiance where everything is made from scratch, homemade, at a very reasonable price. Best of all, you can't go there without striking up a conversation with the bartender, server or people sitting next to you. It's that kind of place. Great food. Great people. What's more Italian than that?
Rocco’s is a great local spot that hits the balance between local and welcoming perfectly. The food is fantastic time and time again. I come here for the relaxed vibe, great service, and great conversations! Sherveen leads a tight ship with a great team on his side!
Customer seevice shines like a bright light in Boston. Wonderful staff, great Chef, and fun environment. Great GF options. Thank you, Rocco's!
We didn’t eat here—just stopped in for drinks—and we were really glad we did. The servers were very friendly, and the drinks were excellent. We brought our 9-year-old along, and there was plenty of space for him to feel comfortable. Local firefighters recommended this spot when we asked about a good neighborhood pub, and it definitely lived up to the recommendation!
Great food. Right down the street from my job. Every time I pick up my food. Place is packed and fulled with happy good people and staff is awesome
Great place that is a little out of the way from the tourist traps. Pizza and great Italian food is common practice here. Don’t forget about the tasty drinks!
If you’re lucky enough to visit and find Sherveen behind the bar, you’re in for something way beyond a drink. Sherveen isn’t just a General Manager—he’s the heartbeat of the place. His presence elevates the entire experience from good to unforgettable. From the moment you walk in, his energy is magnetic. He’s warm, professional, insanely knowledgeable, and somehow makes every guest feel like the most important person in the room. Watching him work is like watching an artist in motion—he crafts cocktails with precision, tells stories with charm, and leads with grace. You can feel how much he genuinely loves what he does, and it shows in every detail. The vibe changes when Sherveen’s around. It’s more vibrant, more welcoming—like you’ve just stepped into your favorite scene in a movie. He doesn’t just serve drinks; he creates moments. Thank you, Sherveen, for making our night one we’ll remember. The world needs more people like you in hospitality. Absolute 10/10.
BIG IMPROVEMENT! I’ve been coming to Rocco’s often ever since I moved the north end 5 years ago. In the past 6 months this place has improved drastically. The bartender told me they have a new manager and it’s a change you can tell. The atmosphere felt rejuvenated, with a warm welcome and attentive service that was noticeably improved. Plus the bar/ wait staff are genuinely friendly and attentive.
Best of the best. The local hang where legends are made. Sherveen runs the nicest, funnest ship in town. Ayden, Bianca, (especially) Erin, Taylor, Jamba, Julie and Maddie are the best bartenders in the northeast. Every night is greatness. Best drink is the Tiramisu martini. <3 shoutout the calzones.
Best service and drinks i’ve ever had in my life!!! The people that work here are genuine and hard working! Will be coming back
Wonderful food. We stopped in while visiting. I would recommend the lobster ravioli.
Great food, amazing staff. Shervin the bartender comes up with incredible drinks on the spot based on what you like, every single one comes out amazing. The food is great and there’s always great company around. Can’t go wrong coming in here!
This was an unbelievable experience. Marco and mark were unreal this evening. The Super Bowl wasn’t great but the service was unbelievable. It wasn’t great but they made it feel like we won! Truly the best experience and we will definitely be back for more good times and more wonderful experiences.Reilly is the greatest hostess ever… go pats and I ❤️ drake maye
Went to Rocco’s once and can’t stop going back!! Amazing music, great food, great drinks, never have any complaints - tried and true. Sherveen, the manager, welcomes everyone as if they have known each other forever. Favorite spot in Boston!!!
Food and service were good, but the volume was overwhelming. The club music was fine (it IS a bar and it WAS Saturday night, I understand that) but when they switched over to the March madness basketball game it was earsplitting. We hustled out without waiting for our dessert. The steak tips were amazing and the arancini was great. Nice beer selection, though only one non-alcoholic beer (Sam Adams Just the Haze). Energetic bar scene.
Good place, but not sure if I would come back. The clam chowder bowl and gnocchi were both outstanding. However, the portions seemed a bit small considering the price. Service was a bit slow even though the restaurant wasn't very busy. We had to flag down our waiter a few times to get the menu. The atmosphere was pleasant, especially for watching sports. I appreciated the small outdoor terrace with heaters.
The food here was really good, but it was so dang loud that it was an unpleasant experience overall. I couldn't even talk to the person across the small table from me because the music was blaring and people seemed to be yelling at every table.
We use Rocco’s as our local watering hole and it is consistently good food and great environment. Trivia nights get FUN.
I have come here many times and I’m torn because some of it is great and other times are mid. They do the pizzas and pasta well. It’s a very casual comfort Italian kitchen place with a nice outdoor space with good drinks. Misses for me include fried mozzarella and the atrak and cheese wraps which was overcooked and dried.
This place was ok. Atmosphere and patio is good, but I think we got unlucky with bad service. We got a couple of beers and then didn't have anyone come back for 30 minutes. We decided to leave and asked for the check. It took 15 minutes and 2 reminders. They were only moderately busy.
Pizza was great but that's it.... Service was terrible as well as the drinks... It was a "cordial" bar but instead of saying that, they said they only only served "their own" high end liquor... Bought into it and spent alot of money on alot of crappy drinks... I am guessing Rocco is rolling in his grave.. This is a Faux Italian restaurant now and can only see it getting worse..
The staff and people are nice but the food is not good and over priced. The meat was over cooked and dry and the cheese on top did not blend into the meat. The roll was stale.
My review for this place is so overdo and my last order has me livid. I've order from this place about 4 times. First time was ok, considering them being in the north end, prices were decent but that's because the food is only mediocre, no way near authentic italian. So the last 3 times I've ordered, the food quality and service has gotten worse each time. I dont know how they are still in business but seeing my experience has been worse then the last time each time with their food they are dishing out explains that this place is having issues. But today, I ordered the rigatoni alla vodka sauce, arancini, and focaccia bread. I posted pics of my food and what the restaurant has on their webiste. each dish horrible, nasty not fresh, probably weeks old. Pasta was so overcooked it was falling apart when picking it up. The chicken pieces had that nasty tendon in them, almost every single piece. And the sauce was tasteless and missing the cheese completely. The arancini were cheap, barely any meat in them but the worst part was they tasted so rancid. And the focaccia bread, which is the cheapest item, was forgotten when picked up. This happened last time when I placed a delivery order. But I couldn't believe I accepted it today. I've ordered it before and it was actually pretty good, but again this place is definitely going down hill. I had to question the girl if she gave me what I ordered cause she took the bread out of a bucket siting on a shelf at their tiny hostess stand. Then she asked if I wanted the oil, so confused but again nasty. All this food is complete trash, a waste and that's were it eneded. Though I had eaten few food bites, I swear this place better hope I don't get sick.
Worst mashed potato ever, it didn’t even had potatoes it was just flour. $28 dollar for a flavorless dish. Tap water was the best part.
Stay away from this place. I ordered steak tips, and the food looked and taste terrible. Steaks were so chewy that I could not eat them. I also got a bonus uncooked onion ring on my food (not sure where did it come from) Yuck! Here is the picture...
Went there tonight with a group of friends, when 2 other customers came up to one of my friends who is a brown skinned lesbian woman to say some homophobic stuff to us. As we were leaving the manager or whoever it was dressed as santa came out to talk to us about the two guys defending them and excusing their homophobia and blatant racism. Would not recommend this bar to anyone who is queer, poc, or anyone not a straight white person. If I could give this place zero stars I would, save yourself the headache and go to any other bar in the North End!
Ordered a steak sandwich with peppers onions and cheddar cheese for pickup at 8:25pm. Wait 20 minutes until 8:45pm. Get home it’s missing peppers and onions has American cheese. Go back to restaurant they throw cold peppers and onions on my half eaten sandwich and don’t change the cheese. Go back to restaurant a third time and demand my money back since they clearly cannot make my order correctly. Not offered an apology just some rude man came out and tried to convince me my order was correct (still the wrong cheese at this point). Pure incompetence - steer clear of this absolutely mid food and terrible service establishment
Ugh. These are not my people. Never coming here again. It was cold too. Owner didn't care because he seems... Excited?
Girlfriend and I were in town for a hockey game and to celebrate 2 years of sobriety for myself. We were having ourselves an amazing weekend until it was time to get dinner. We walked down the main street and every restaurant had a line that was at least 11 people long. We continued to walk until we got to Rocco's. We were overjoyed to see no line and a friendly hostess. She immediately seated us outside next to the hostess stand. We were in high spirits, literally dancing and singing in the streets (we're a goofy couple) and our waitress came over to the table. She immediately zeroed in on my girlfriend, drawing extremely close, making my girlfriend uncomfy. She asked if she wanted drinks and my girlfriend declined. The entirety of the time, she did not acknowledge my presence there until it was time to pay in which she gladly took my card. My girlfriend even asked if I knew her because she thought the waitress's lack of service towards me was personal (I'm not from Boston and this was my first time at Rocco's so this is impossible.) I noticed she did this with a large table next to us but not nearly as blatant as there was a couple that just got engaged next to us. It was specifically the men. Now I'm not saying I deserve special treatment or this woman owes me anything, however it was distracting to the entire experience and ruined both my girlfriend and I's mood. I will not be recommending this this place because of Courtney B.'s actions. The food was not bad. We had the arancini which was probably the best part. The rice balls were nicely made and perfect size for appetizers. We got two flatbreads as well. They were typical bar flatbreads. This place is probably a nice spot in the summer. Probably a great bar for those who consume alcohol. The lack luster service was a buzz kill.
Ate here last week and the food was decent. Our server was Maddie I think, she was great. I didn’t love the music was so loud when I ate dinner and it was also really bad music. I think I also saw the manager yelling at the waitresses and I think that is so unprofessional and not the type of business I want to support. All the servers were very nice but we didn’t love the overall experience and will not be coming back.
Water was absolutely disgusting. If this is the same water they prepare food with, I would be concerned. Asked for a vodka cocktail with Tito’s and was told they only carry Poland Spring Vodka (🤮). Not sure why the selection was so limited. Gnocchi and mozzarella squares were good 👍🏽
If I could give this place a zero star review I would. I had what was thought the pleasure of going to Rocco’s tonight with my friends to what was suppose to be a great night out turned horrible because of the ignorant and discriminative regulars that go there and the management that allows and encourages this behavior. My very good friend who is a lesbian WOC was targeted and discriminated against because of her ethnic background and sexuality. I will never return to this place and will never suggest this place to anyone because of the heinous actions that were done against my dear friend. Absolutely ridiculous for a place of business to act like this, I am horrified!
