We decided to try Rosa Mexicano in the Seaport after visiting the Snowport shopping in Boston. For a Saturday night, it wasn’t too busy so the service was quick. The food was really good and we were impressed with the quality of the ingredients Rosa Mexicano uses. We felt the server wasn’t too happy with us because we were a table of two and were seated at a table that could hold four people. The server was distant with us and seemed to not like that we didn’t order alcohol, so it felt they thought we wouldn’t tip them well (we did tip well). We’ll def come back here. The Birria Tacos was delicious!

Connor was epic! Best guac. Great service. And food was even more epic. We were staying at the Hyatt, just a couple blocks away, perfect spot. Guava Margarita 10/10!

Can’t say enough great things about this place. Margaritas are fantastic. The guacamole is made to order at your table. The service and atmosphere are great. Our server helped celebrate my birthday!

First trip to Boston and this was our first restaurant we visited and it was a delicious start to our trip. We ordered the Parrilladas and it was so much delicious food. Mote than enough for two. Everything was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. The only downside was we were too full to finish. We had three different salsas over the course of our meal and each one was absolutely delicious. Service was amazing and the restaurant is visually stunning.

Super fantastic Mexican restaurant in Boston. We loved the margaritas with the Grand Marnier. Tasty and strong. The cheese quesadilla had a special sauce to step it up a notch and we loved the Christmas tree in July. Would definitely come back here again.

This is one of my fav places in Boston! Excellent food - esp guac- enchiladas and margs! It is a go-to spot. Pedro our waiter was great, too!

The food and service were great. The waitress/server was patient with my family even though one member was indecisive. The food and drink recommendations were also excellent.

This is our first time in Boston and we found this gem. Great food! Wonderful table side guac and lots of margerita options. My husband had the shrimp fajitas and I had chicken enchiladas with mole sauce. Very good!

The food was so good, I stayed for dessert. Must try Al Pastor Ribs! The strawberry tres leches was perfect.

I'm thrilled to share my exceptional experience at Rosa Mexicano in Boston, a hidden gem that I stumbled upon while working at an event nearby. As a vegetarian, I'm always on the lookout for restaurants that cater to my dietary preferences, and Rosa Mexicano exceeded my expectations in every way. The menu is a love letter to vegetarian cuisine, with a plethora of delicious options that showcase the richness and diversity of Mexican flavors. I was spoiled for choice, but ended up trying the wet burrito, nachos, and quesadilla - all of which were absolutely fantastic. The flavors were incredibly authentic, with each dish bursting with the bold, vibrant flavors of Mexico. The quality of the ingredients was top-notch, with fresh, seasonal produce and creative combinations that elevated each dish to new heights. But what truly sets Rosa Mexicano apart is the atmosphere. The moment I stepped inside, I was struck by the lively and vibrant decor, which transported me to the sun-kissed streets of Mexico. The energy was electric, with a warm and welcoming vibe that made me feel right at home. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who were knowledgeable about the menu and happy to make recommendations. They checked in regularly to ensure that my meal was nothing short of perfect, and were always happy to accommodate my requests. One of the things that impressed me most about Rosa Mexicano was the attention to detail. From the colorful table runners to the vibrant artwork on the walls, every aspect of the restaurant was carefully curated to create an immersive dining experience. The staff was friendly and welcoming, with a genuine passion for Mexican cuisine that shone through in every interaction. If you're in Boston and looking for a restaurant that serves up delicious Mexican fare with a vegetarian twist, look no further than Rosa Mexicano. This place is a must-visit for anyone who loves Mexican cuisine, and a paradise for vegetarians who are tired of the same old options. I highly recommend giving this place a try - you won't be disappointed! Rating Breakdown: Food: 5/5 stars Service: 5/5 stars Atmosphere: 5/5 stars Value: 5/5 stars Recommendation: Don't miss the wet burrito, nachos, and quesadilla - they're all must-try dishes for vegetarians! And be sure to ask your server for recommendations - they're happy to help you navigate the menu and find the perfect dish for your taste buds.

Excellent food. Excellent location. Sat outside with a water view. Had the duck enchiladas with mole. Fabulous.

Cannot recommend this place enough! I've come here and had a couple great meals, but what makes this place stand out is the service! Emily and Greg - thank you for making our night!!! We did the sizzling cocktail class and it was insanely fun and beyond worth the $$. So many great drinks and we got to try so many appetizers for a very reasonable price. Such a great thing to do with friends, on a date, company outing, etc. couldn't imagine a scenario this wouldn't be so much fun. Cannot wait to come back.. please get these classes going more frequently!! And keep the spicy cucumber in the rotation :)

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Rosa Mexicano and it was an absolute delight! The food, cocktails, and service were all top-notch. The portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable. I highly recommend trying the birria tacos - they were tender, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with Rosa Mexicano and can't wait to go back. If you're a fan of authentic Mexican cuisine, this is a must-visit spot. Five stars and highly recommended!"

Good vibes and good service. I am vegetarian hence my choices are limited. But staff was very nice. The manager was very warm and presented us with ice cream bites as we were there to celebrate our anniversary. Great time and music to dance.

Went to Rosa Mexicana in the Seaport with a big group celebrating an Bachalorette/Graduation and it was such a great experience honestly. Nico and Nathalia were amazingggg so attentive and kind they really made the night go smoothly. The drinks were delicious everyone for frozen margaritas and we easy ordered over a dozen of them lol and the food was hot fresh and everyone loved what they got. Big group dinners can sometimes feel hectic, but they kept everything organized and fun and kept everything moving in a timely way.

The food and drinks at this place are great for the price, and the portions are big too. The decor and service are pleasant and not too fancy like the stressfully expensive restaurants; this is a place to unwind. The only suggestion is that in the cold months, make sure you are seated very far from the doors as many people use the swing door rather than the revolving one, sending in a blast of cold air. I would recommend for the restaurant to install a curtain, signage, or secondary set of doors to help with this problem.

We had a great Christmas Eve late afternoon/early evening celebration at a hi top in the bar area. Our server Conner was fantastic: attentive, friendly & efficient. His bus-persons & runners were very helpful as well. The food was fantastic: reasonably sized portions at a fair price…we weren’t bloated as one often is at a Mexican restaurant. We will be going bavk!!!

Went here for the New Year’s Eve! We had a walk in and they were very accommodating. We took our time and felt no rush. Our waiter, I believe was Sam! He was attentive and polite, checking in with us. Additionally, another lady in red dress the hostess of restaurant was very king and checking in with all the diners. The food was exceptional, it was delicious and the atmosphere of the restaurant was gorgeous. It was great last 2025 meal and way to end the year. The entertainment was good that night to! Would definitely come back🤗❤️

Great place for dinner!! Dined in for two and between several drinks, two apps, and our entrees everything broke down to around $50/person. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend

We hosted our year end celebration at Rosa Mexicano last night and had an amazing experience. I worked with Jaimee to figure out all the details. She was helpful and very communicative (also the planning was done via email which was much easier for me). We had the BEST wait staff on the night of the event – Pedro and Ashley. They were very kind, professional and great at their jobs. We ended up having several more people show up then we had planned for. This didn’t even phase Ashley and Pedro – they simply set up another table, got chairs and adjusted the food. I can’t thank the staff enough. Our team works really hard and appreciated having a chance to relax in a great environment, which great food and great people. I highly recommend Rosa Mexicano!

Our waiter was so amazing. My daughter and her friends had a separate table from my husband and I and he was so accommodating. They made her feel very special on her birthday. Thank you!

Went on one of the busy times of the year 2/14. Reservation was key. It’s great to go there, parking garage is located near by. Service was amazing as always. A few less tables on that day would have been great. I get it with being a bussiness, making money is key. The “couples”tables were just a tad bit tight. Other than that, we’ve been there multiple times and 5 stars easily. Will be going back soon.

Great experience! We loved the table side guacamole and the Parrilladas (mixed grill) was a fantastic meal to share. Steak, chicken, and chorizo along with vegetables on a sizzling platter. Desert was a big surprise! Tres leches was great and the banana desert… awesome! We loved the drinks too… pomegranate martini and habanero pineapple martini.

We visited Rosa Mexicano in South Boston yesterday as a group of 15 people, and everything was perfect from start to finish. The food presentation was outstanding, every dish looked beautiful and well prepared. The atmosphere was great—modern, welcoming, and perfect for a group gathering. The service was excellent, very attentive and friendly, and they handled our large group smoothly without any issues. Most importantly, the food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor and very well executed. We had an amazing experience and would definitely come back. Highly recommended!

This was light first time at Rosa's and we will be back when we visit the city again. Louis was a great server with a beautiful personality.

Decent place. Vibes are good. Went as with my with group and we got a bunch of things. I got their: Nachos, tampequerina (may have misspelled) but it's steak and other stuff. Honestly, the food felt bland. Not much flavor. I asked for medium steak and it was very tough. Should've done medium rare. For drinks, got blood orange and spicy cucumber. I couldn't taste orange in the first drink and it was quite bitter but not that bad. Spicy cucumber was delicious. The rest of the group got bunch of things and folks were happy with their food and drinks.

The food was delicious. The interior was beautiful giving night club vibes. Our server was okay, they seemed distracted. Also they didn't check us in via our reservation so I had to email with open table a few times.

The food we ordered was very good. Especially loved the plantains and Mexican rice. We had some issues with one of our entrees, but our server handled it with no problem. Loved the outdoor seating by the water.

Had a decent meal here! The tacos and chicken enchiladas were all fine, but very one note. Felt on the more expensive end too and I’d be more likely to go to Citrus & Salt or bartaco instead. I would recommend the baja fish and the quesabirria tacos. The fried plantains were okay, but definitely needed more crema.

We were looking for a Mexican restaurant and found this one. The food is good but not extra. The cooking of the meat was not adequate. We asked for medium rare and got an overcooked meat unfortunately. Birthday celebration could be a little be more festive than just a Mexican hat (that was used on many heads by the way) on the head of the birthday boy….

K
Kat Olowu

My salmon dinner was delicious. The two apps we got were good. We asked for hot sauce on the side for the apps. It was missing a little flavor with a kick. The ambience was really nice and the service was good. The only mishap was using the kiosk to pay as their was a glitch with the machine. Took about 8 - 10 minutes with the kiosk and still failed. Finally paid manually but overall great restaurant and I would recommend to friends and return.

I was attending a conference in the area with a coworkers so we headed in here for dinner. Lucky for us Tuesday were half off tacos!! Bonus! The tacos were ok I had the tempura shrimp they were a little greasy. The waiter asked if we wanted to start with guacamole and we said yes. Little did we realize it was like $20 and not even made table side… it was yummy though! All in all it was a good meal. They did give us some little chocolates to go that was a nice bonus!

Food was good They bring nachos and salsa to the table and guacamole per order However horrible acoustics. We could not have a proper conversation. Also took > 1.5 hours for a lunch

Even though this is a chain restaurant, one walks into a colorful space with a vibrant decor and an uplifting vibe. I went there recently (first visit), late on a very warm summer’s evening and greatly enjoyed the outdoor ambiance. The fresh and light ocean breeze with all the hustle bustle that the Seaport district offers, made it for a very pleasant experience. I was seated promptly, but should point out just like someone else has noted here, it was a bit unusual for the maitre d to be wiping off the menus before handing them to patrons. My server, Urbi, could not have been nicer. She was very cheerful and friendly and suggested the appetizer that turned out to be very delicious. The Camarones Diablos is a savory plate of crispy shrimp (without the tails), in a chile sauce and avocado dressing. This was definitely my favorite. For the entree I went with the Tampiquena, which is a very hearty dish of Angus strip steak, cheese enchilada, refried beans, guacamole and a number of other mixed vegetables and sauces, served with corn tortillas . This dish would have been good for two people to share, at least in my case. It felt a tad bit bland, most likely because they had brought it out together with the appetizer and I asked them to hold it till I was ready. That made it a bit lukewarm and perhaps caused it to taste a bit flat. Overall, if you would like to experience decent Mexican food in a great setting, this place would be a good choice.

Rosa Mexicano Restaurant located at 155 Seaport Blvd, Boston, MA 02210 is an upscale Mexican eatery. Their food on a whole is very good! Wide variety menu, and the food is expertly prepared to be more visually and taste appealing. I got grilled shrimp and the shredded beef brisket enchiladas. I far preferred the enchiladas to the grilled shrimp as the shrimp were very over cooked and dry. I got it without the chimi sauce, but good shrimp should not need to be soaked in a sauce to be good. I ate 2 of the 8 shrimp and gave up on that part of the meal. Enjoyed the enchiladas a lot! Chips and salsa with a very good salsa were provided at the start . Now a negative / the place is far, FAR too loud!!! Wooden floors and ceiling bounce the sounds hard and it is way too loud to enjoy a peaceful meal. Everyone has to yell practically to be heard. That was not good!!! It’s louder than some bars.

Fish tacos. Flavor was great except these fell apart when I tried to pick them up. Too many toppings for the tortillas! I asked for limes and they were all dried up, so I had to ask for some fresher ones. My biggest issue though was the seating. I’m a solo eater when I travel and I was told the ONLY seats available were the bench seats between two other parties. This is an introverts nightmare. I didn’t see any reason for this as the restaurant was mostly empty at 2 pm on a weekday. I had to stare straight ahead so I didn’t look lime I was staring at the people next to me (who were close enough to touch me) No one likes bench seating! I won’t be back.

The shrimp and corn were great but the chicken taco had zero flavor, not sure how they managed to suck out all semblance of flavor with something that looked so good...

My friends and I stopped by Rosa Mexicano in Boston Seaport after a boat cruise, it was conveniently within walking distance, which made it an easy choice. We got there around 10pm (they close at 11), and thankfully they were still seating and serving. Our server, Yasmina, was friendly and mostly attentive. That said, since it was close to closing time, the staff seemed to be in clean-up mode, so it took a little while to get her attention when we needed something. I ordered a frozen guava margarita, which was disappointing, it tasted more like grapefruit than guava, and definitely wasn’t what I was expecting. I also got the Birria Quesatacos. Flavor wise they were okay, but there were tough, big pieces of meat that made them hard to chew, and the birria sauce lacked flavor. One nice highlight of the night was that we were celebrating a friend’s birthday, and the staff brought out a complimentary birthday treat and sang to her (upon request). It was a thoughtful touch and much appreciated. Overall, Rosa Mexicano has a fun vibe and a great location for late-night eats in the Seaport. I loved the overall pink aesthetic as pink is my favorite color, but for me, the food and drinks fell a bit short.

We stopped in after walking past this place several times to our hotel. We only wanted an appetizer and drinks. The restaurant was busy so we sat at the bar. We ordered our drinks and some chicken nachos. We waited for about 45 minutes before our nachos were served. We weren’t upset but just a but puzzled to see it took so long to get an order of chicken nachos out. The nachos were ok but in all honesty they were nothing special.

As a Latina- the food was very bland. GF options for sure. We ordered steak tacos that were supposedly GF but I took one bite of it and did not feel well- so it’s questionable. I had to add lime and hot sauce to try and fix the fresh guac. Everything is overpriced so I would have expected to at least get food quality food. Super disappointed. The bussers were also super sweet and attentive. The manager (?) with blonde hair was not super welcoming even after I said something to her in my attempt to be helpful and her response was not nice. However - our waitress Gavi was lovely and super attentive.

P
Pamela Jodhan

Went for my birthday weekend, got dinner on a Sunday. The guac was super bland, no taste at all. Our drinks were good, entrees took 30min to come out. Our waiter was super kind and was apologetic. She even brought us dessert on the house. Would love to come back and try more dinner options. Didn’t really enough my meal. I didn’t get pics of the other food item, sorry :(

Nice interiors design within the restaurant. They have outdoor patio during the summer and bar. The service was okay, I felt like the bust boy was new since they misplace and gave us the wrong food twice. Just look clueless. Food was good, I like the fried rice which had added spice to it so be aware when ordering if you don’t like spicy. The tacos were fine, the pork carnitas was a bit too salty to my liking and the birria was tender and great. However the sauce that comes with it was straight up just oil/grease, not whole lot of added flavor could it contribute to the birria tacos with it.

J
Johnson MrBear

First of all, I really love Mexican food! But this restaurant really disappointed me even though they have “Mexican” in the title…We order guacamole with mild and plain, but both of them are pretty plain. Maybe try spicy one in the future. But I don’t think I will go again. The Rosa’s Nachos are not good neither. Crispy chicken milanesa is a burger which is too much cooked for the tender which makes it hard to bite. The shrimp taco and beef brisket is okay, not good enough though. And took another 🌟 out because the service is not so good neither, and see my last photo, I asked a box for the burger and fries, they gave me just one small box. Have to ask again for another one… give 3 ⭐️ at most and will not go again…

Place was nice , atmosphere great. Service was okay ! Disappointing food though. Presentation was good but taste was all too sour or too bland. No one is going ti offer any additional sauce given the prices they charge. Our local taco trucks had better flavors.

A
Alyssa Grushkin

My partner and I went here recently to try out a new place, we won’t be back. The guests behind us were very loud and obnoxious. That’s obviously out of there control. But the service was slow and the food was mediocre especially for the price. The street was the best thing we had, however $10 for a cup of corn is kinda excessive. But we did enjoy it, we also got the birria empanadas and honestly they were okay. Nothing special or captured my mind. We also got the Mexican rice … way too much going on. There was just something about it that I didn’t like. You couldn’t pin point a flavor. Not to mention the margarita I had was off balance, it was fine at first til time pasted and it was very tart. Also kinda pricey and Upcharges for flavors which is not stated on the menu. Overall, not terrible but not good either. At least the staff was nice and friendly, but slow, standard service nothing special.

B
Brynn Elizabeth

Horrific experience! Hector actually scoffed at us for wanting things on the side for the nachos. My fiance has allergies, and it’s just easier for us to do that. He then proceeded to ask me if I was sure I wanted the chicken soup because it was spicy, then proceeded to bring out the most bland thing I’ve ever tasted. Not to mention how dry the chicken was on the nachos. Don’t waste $100 like we did.

V
Vrinda Chandar

Absolutely unacceptable experience at Rosa Mexicano in Boston. From the moment we sat down, it was clear no one was actually responsible for our table. We didn’t have a single consistent server — they kept switching who was “taking care of us,” which in reality meant no one was. We ordered ONE appetizer. It took over an hour to arrive, and when it finally did, it was cold and tasted awful. Completely not worth the wait. To make matters worse, the table next to us was also actively complaining about their food, so clearly this wasn’t an isolated issue. What makes this even more frustrating is that this place is beyond expensive. You’d expect attentive service and quality food at these prices — instead, we got chaos, neglect, and food that felt like it had been forgotten in the kitchen. When it came time to pay, things somehow got even worse. No one would take our card. We were sitting there for so long trying to get someone’s attention that we were genuinely about to walk out. Every time we tried to flag someone down, staff would literally walk past us like we didn’t exist. For a restaurant with this reputation and price point, this level of service is embarrassing. Overpriced, slow, disorganized, inattentive, and frustrating from start to finish. There are plenty of better (and cheaper) Mexican restaurants in Boston — do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else.

P
Podcast Desconocido

This restaurant is just an expensive disappointment. First of all, there is absolutely nothing cozy about it. If you are thinking of taking a date here, reconsider. The restaurant is basically one large open space with tables packed so tightly together that you will be unintentionally eavesdropping on the conversation next to you while bumping elbows. The booths are uncomfortable, and the long, narrow tables made of cheap wood force you to sit awkwardly far from the person you are with. Add in the loud, crappy pop music, and you will find yourself constantly leaning forward just to hear each other, all while trying to navigate an extremely narrow space filled with food and drinks. Now let’s talk about the drinks. Nine dollars for a Modelo. Just a regular Modelo, no michelada or anything special. They throw in a sad lime wedge with no juice and call it a day. Watered down mojitos are nineteen dollars, and watered down margaritas are twenty dollars. As for the food, expect to pay around twenty five dollars for three dry, overcooked steak tacos, or twenty dollars for the tiniest fish tacos with absolutely no flavor. This is a mediocre and overpriced restaurant that somehow landed a spot on Seaport Boulevard and tried to adopt a Mexican food vibe, but failed miserably. Honestly, you would have better luck stopping at a random Mexican place off the highway than wasting your money here.

M
Moudi Al-Salim

I wouldn’t recommend it. We expected really delicious Mexican food and we just did not get that. When we were there we saw some people that liked it, but I guess their taste buds are different than ours. The service was good, but I wouldn’t come here again.
