Pierre’s is a great restaurant year-round with a wide and well-crafted menu. Some of my favorites are the grilled sardines, poached salmon, and the French onion soup. Service is always friendly and attentive. A consistently wonderful dining experience
Pierre’s is more than just a restaurant, it’s a place filled with warmth, elegance, and emotion. I returned this Valentine’s Day and, once again, was reminded why it holds such a special place in my heart. From the romantic live jazz to the cozy, candlelit atmosphere, everything was simply perfect. The decor was festive and intimate, the staff was kind and attentive, and the energy felt timeless, like a scene from a French love story. I had the lobster — my absolute favorite — and it was exceptional. But what truly touched me was when the band started playing bossa nova just for me — a beautiful gesture because I’m Brazilian. It made the evening feel personal and unforgettable. Pierre’s is where I celebrated the night I got married, and every time I return, I feel like I’m adding another memory to a story I never want to end. It’s not just a dinner, it’s emotion, celebration, and connection. I can’t wait to come back again and again 💗
We invited some guests to join us for lunch and had a wonderful experience. The lunch was so delicious. The French soup was rich and very well done. The chicken was off the charts. One of the best roasts chicken I’ve had in awhile and the sauce was rich and over the top. The service was fine and they were attentive; but most of the service we received in the area people were brusque and curt. They are not as warm and welcoming as other parts of the country. I was also very appreciative that they didn’t make it difficult to bring our service dog in the restaurant. Loved the music
I’m surprised by the negative reviews because my experience was fantastic. The food was delicious, and the service met my expectations. The roasted heritage chicken was exceptionally well-prepared, with flavors that were truly outstanding. I highly recommend giving this place a try.
Two private chefs on our day off. As it happens we have been here twice before and had never read the reviews until we went this least time, I read them to my wife as she got ready. They are hilarious because you can see through the BS of the elitist reviewers and the no nonsense replies from Pierre makes for good reading. He places himself right in the crosshairs with his approach but he doesn't fail to deliver. The ingredient quality is apparent (pay attention Ambros) from the first bite. First, we travel with our boss and are only in the Hamptons for the summer. As a result we travel all over, Miami Beach, upstate NY, Beverly Hills, Napa etc etc so we know places like this much more than your average patron . So far, the only place worth going back to for the Food again in the Hamptons was/is Sam's in E Hamp and this place ( please see review for East Hampton Grill & St Ambroseus, awful) My wife reviewed the other two meals we had here, please see after sorting by date. I had the Chicken Ratt and it was fantastic, also had the chicken caeser salad very good, but lettuce was warm by the time it go to us outside on this record heat day, bread came with really good butter both salted and non so you can get your own blend. Spent 2 bux which I did not think was bad for 2 people given the reputation this place has according to some reviews.
Great experience! The service was pretty fast and efficient. Everyone enjoyed their meals a lot. We ordered the soft shell crab, Alfredo and Caesar salad. I wasn’t hungry but had their coffee eclair and it was fabulous! Cute French spot. Will definitely return again to enjoy a meal here.
Love Pierre’s, I am absolutely obsessed with the mango avocado and tomato salad. It is so delicious all of the flavors pair so perfectly together. The cocktails are absolutely refreshing and delicious as well. They do a great job all the way around.
My 14 year old daughter took me here for my birthday, and I was impressed. The food, the services and atmosphere was immaculate. I had such a good time and the food was delicious. It was worth every penny that she spent!
Pierre’s. Gorgeous food. Absolutely delicious to your taste buds - and you are going to pay for it so get out your wallet. But it is worth it. We spent more here than we expected - a lot more. But we totally INDULGED ourselves. It was out fault. But I’m still dreaming of the food.
Great spot in the Hampton’s. The sea bass is fantastically paired with a cream sauce, asparagus and leeks. Most importantly, the fish was perfectly cooked with a nice sear. Desert was also very good and I’m not a desert kinda guy. Carlos does a great job working the bar. I’ll be back!
Great food and attention. Highly recommended
A good resturant with family ambience. The lambchop is a must select dish! Will definitely come back again when we visit the area next time.
I absolutely enjoy eating at Pierre's whether I'm having dinner at the bar OR buying something from the retail shop. Whenever I come for dinner, I tend to always order my same favorite dishes as delicious as the other dishes sound. Some of my favorites are the rack of lamb, lobster salad, and pear Helene.
We enjoy visiting Pierre’s two-three times every summer. This restaurant has a great selection of food. Tarte flambee is the same as the best one in Eguesheim-Alsace. Beef tartar is also very nice (to be perfect I would add a teaspoon of cognac for a flavor). Desserts are excellent. The restaurant has a style, and they expect that guests come in style. I cannot help saying that I was disappointed reading a number of negative reviews. My suggestion is to arrive with a smile and enjoy every minute of your visit at Pierre’s. This is one of the best restaurants in Hamptons.
About leaving the restaurant and I must say we enjoyed the rack of lamp and branzino a la provencale👌👌👌👌👌
Amazing food, ambiance and drinks. Very authentic french dining with some of the best mussels I've ever had. Highly recommend
Je t’aime! In the summertime, the place to be for people and car watching, happy with fries, friends, and family. Ratatouille omelet is my favorite, beverages are always tasty. In winter, the onion soup is second to none -no trip to visit Pierre’s is complete without the profiteroles. They are perfect
We dropped by Pierre’s for brunch in the off season and loved our meal. My eggs Benedict was perfect and my husband loved the brunch tart. Will definitely be back. Friendly service and delicious food.
Very relaxing, great decor, food was amazing, staff was very attentive & friendly. Great variety of items to choose from.
We had heard about Pierre's restaurant and we were not disappointed! A very warm welcome and the dishes were delicious, especially the "Tarte flambée", which I know well, being from Molsheim:) It was the first time today but certainly not the last! Thank you Pierre.
Pierre’s is a vibe - steak, frites, martinis - can’t go wrong
Great meal with friends enjoying a good mix of food choices for everyone. The service team took really nice care of our 6 person group.
The best French Bistro in the Hamptons. As a real estate agent it is easy to recommend Pierres.
We went for drinks and dessert and would love to go again to try the full menu. It was an authentic French dining experience. I felt at home with the fleur de sel and red pepper grinder on the table when we sat down. Fries were great too !
Notice how the bad reviews are of people that have weird beef with the owner 😂 or got just a burger or the most basic thing on the menu when there is a PLETHORA of options that are incredibly unique i guess they were scared of them and or straight up uncultured .… ignore them…. One of the only ways I can describe this place is that they picked up a restaurant in France and plopped it down in the Hamptons along with its staff… the quality is absolutely beyond remarkable. Very skilled artists working in that kitchen i applaud you guys 👏👏👏
I really am not sure how anyone could write a bad review. This was the most delicious lunch my husband and I have had in the Hamptons in a very long time. We wanted to try the duck bakery bread which was very good. My husband had the steak and I had the burger we also shared a side of ratatouille. For dessert we had the chocolate mousse. I also had a pear martini that was fabulous. We truly loved everything. The food was divine and delicious. Probably one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. We really can’t wait to come back and try more. I feel like any of the negative reviews are either fake or simply people wanting something for free sadly.
My family and I visited during Christmas and had a wonderful time. The duck I ordered was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. Our server was friendly and the service was excellent! Loved the music& vibe, and the restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Definitely planning to visit again.
The best food in the United States! The best chef and very nice people working in this restaurant! very good service, good atmosphere, and so nice flowers bouquet all the time in this restaurant! I love everything what is in here!
If you want a decadent, upscale, professional atmosphere and experience - you should come to Pierre’s. This restaurant has been a staple to the Hamptons for over 20 years and the quality of the food and service proves its success. I have only had wonderful meals here and am treated with kindness and respect. The servers and bartenders here are incredibly professional, and the menu is a beautiful reflection of authentic French cuisine ! Love this place
Outside seating Very bright & airy inside Staff was very friendly
Great food and atmosphere. Would recommend the tarte blambee as an appetizer and the profiteroles for dessert. Felt a little rushed by the waitress but all in all good night and would recommend
Pretty tasty. Fries were a disappointment. French restaurant. French fries. Yeah, but they should have been delicious. It was a great au poivre but the fries. I am willing to go again. It was otherwise a solid dinner.
Despite its modest appearance, Pierre's is priced on par with the most expensive restaurants in the area. For instance, I ordered a simple tartare that cost over $40, and honestly, it was quite plain. The high prices do not match the quality or complexity of the food, making the overall experience feel underwhelming and not worth the cost.
Clubby loud main room with a more quiet room upstairs. This place is mediocre at best and insanely overpriced. I don’t mind spending a lot for a great meal but everything here was just bad. Starting with the $25 cocktails that tasted bad, a sad excuse for a tomato salad that if I’m generous container a quarter of tomato, and my strip steak that was burnt to crunches. We tried to save the day with an apple pie, but alas it was mediocre. On a side note, the waiter kept pushing us to order more alcohol “because it’s Saturday night.” Felt very distasteful.
We were a table of 4. The food was ok, typical Hamptons hype. Ordered the lobster fricasse it was disappointing, not prepared as described on the menu. Instead of the cognac flambé it was in the same lobster bisque my husband had for his appetizer. The waitress was not exactly warm and friendly. Not rushing back.
This has been a favorite stopping spot for us every year as we head out to Montauk for the weekend. But sadly, over the past couple of years is has become mediocre in both food quality and service. I think this year was our last. I hope things improve and it regains the level it built its reputation on.
Disappointed. Food was average. For the price … where was the service staff. Through out the whole mean - only 1 the water was filled. 15 min after we sat and requested water and then not again. On a hot humid day - why would you not refill water. Is it because we got tap water 🤣!! The tuna tartar was average and the burger was average too. The fries were undercooked. One of the item came back cold. Instead of no problem - let me change it and get you what ever you want. The attitude was let me get the manager. Even the check took a long time. Not worth the price! Plenty of better places to try.
If you’re looking for high quality & flavorful food, look elsewhere. Very underwhelmed by the two choices we had yesterday, at a medium-high price point. Niçoise salad & cheeseburger. Before you say “oh cheeseburger at the French place? Stupid.” Yeah I don’t care. The Niçoise salad had no flavor and barely any blanched vegetables like it should have… and it had mushrooms? 2 olives on the plate, the eggs look a bit old, and the tuna was subpar at best. 4 seared tuna “fish sticks” for like almost $40? They tasted previously frozen. Give me a break 🤣 Cheeseburger is a cheeseburger. It’s hard to mess up a cheeseburger. Fries were like McDonald’s fries. Look somewhere else if you’re about to drop $100 on lunch. Not recommended.
We were unable to make our booking and despite having a genuine reason and calling they still went ahead and charged us 200 dollars cancellation fee. which was at their discretion .. greed and a lack of compassion rarely makes for a good kitchen - food needs love ..we probably didn’t miss much ..
I have eaten here several times -seems to be going down hill . I had a ceaser salad with chicken it was one of the worst i’ve ever had. overpriced restaurant and poor quality.
Stunningly over priced food. Dry chicken, greasy salmon, stale cake. Very rude waitstaff. Not to mention the wait time.
I had the most appalling experience with Pierre’s in Bridgehampton. I called the restaurant first thing in the morning when I woke up and explained I had a medical emergency and would not be able to attend. He informed me the restaurant is more important than my health. The manager was absolutely evil (when I asked if there was anyone to speak to he said “who do you want to talk to , the dishwasher?”). He informed me about the cancellation policy to which I explained not to cancel it and try and find someone to take my spot … before HE hung up on me he charged my card the $200 fee. I will absolutely never attend this restaurant. I am truly shook about how rude they were. I have never been spoken to like that ever in my life.
Will never patronize this pretentious place with their arrogant management that doesn’t know the first thing about the service industry. Tried to cancel reservation more than 24 hours in advance due to illness in a member of our group. We were told 48 hour cancellation policy, and they proceeded to cancel our reservation and charge $250. It’s no wonder there are always open tables. Would never give this place my business going forward. Avoid at all costs. Read the owners responses to his negative reviews (most of which are about him), repeatedly labeling reviewers as “Karen’s”, and that’s really all you need to know about how you will be treated here. 1 star reviews all over the place.
One of the worst wannabe “fancy” restaurants i went to the food is definitely not worth the price. Worst part is i came in hungry then this one dude with grey hair and cartoon glasses walks past me apparently the “owner”, he smelled so horrendous and bad i lost all my appetite. Don't go here unless you’re ready to get food poisoning 🤮. Worst service ever really rude. Its like they are forced to work
Surprisingly horrible was how I felt when I left however it wouldn’t have been surprising had I just read the yelp reviews before. Had one server for the whole upper floor on Valentine’s Day, there for over 2 hours and only had one entrée because they never brought the appetizer or drinks we ordered, also no water refill the whole time. Had to ask for the check from the bus-lady twice and explain how we didn’t get half of our stuff, finally had to get up and find someone to get a check. On top of being thirsty the whole time the food was very mediocre. There is a reason there’s a bunch of 1 star reviews
I stopped to pick up my favorite banana walnut muffin and saw chicken salad for $3.75 and added sweet potatoes chips on my way to work. I was told that the chicken salad price was incorrect as she created a new label for $12- I asked her to honor it considering that was not my mistake. She said “I can’t do that” well I told her to eat it all and I will never step foot back into Pierre’s again!!! Awful cafe help (bakery side) they are absolutely unprofessional and miserable! No one ever smiles and is happy! I get a better response from a 7-11. I’ll be sure to share my distasteful visit with everyone! Pierre should have higher standards especially with that kind of help fronting his business!
We arrived for a 7pm dinner reservation on time and despite giving our name we were totally ignored. After waiting for 40 minutes with several customers who came in after us being seated we left. We thought Pierre was incredibly rude. We will never set one foot in that restaurant again. We later find out that his treatment of customers is very rude.
Pierre’s used to be a fun spot with good food, but no longer. The staff are rude, the food is drab and uninventive, and the atmosphere tired and institutional. On my last visit, which will indeed be my last, our waiter took two wrong orders, and then had the audacity to add extra tip to our bill afterwards. The Hamptons would be far better off without the stain of Pierre’s.
I rarely write reviews, but I felt this experience deserved to be shared. Upon arriving, the person at the door—possibly the manager—greeted us with an air of arrogance that immediately set the wrong tone. Rather than being welcoming, the attitude conveyed was almost “I’m better than you,” which is the opposite of hospitality. The food itself was nothing remarkable; it certainly did not make up for the unpleasant first impression. What did make the evening bearable was our server, who was genuinely kind, attentive, and thoughtful throughout our meal. Her warmth stood in stark contrast to the demeanor we encountered at the entrance. Hospitality is about making every guest feel valued, and a restaurant’s success depends as much on kindness and attitude as it does on food. Unfortunately, in this case, the lack of respect at the door overshadowed what could have been a pleasant experience.
I was one of 4 people. Needed a vegan choice. The Gespacho soup was not very good and their other choice 4 vegetables included French fries which was fine but the rest were not tasty. Especially the Kale. Had no dressing at all. I did not expect it to have lots of vegan choices but $30 for that plate is disgraceful
