Great family style Italian restaurant. The place is huge and even has private rooms for larger parties. The staff here is second to none and they certainly deliver. The food is really good. The wagyu meatballs are excellent! My teenage boys had the NY strip and filet mignon and they both raved about it. Great night out for the family. We are regulars.
This place is great for a business dinner with a large crowd. We were 14 of us. Their family style dishes are really large portions. We ordered the chicken Alfredo fettuccine, the penne vodka, chicken parm, shrimp spaghetti, Caesar salad, calamari, cheesecake, lemon cookies, chocolate cake, tiramisu. All of the dishes were amazing and we had so much left over to take home. The service was amazing. The atmosphere is always great too.
6 of us went on April 12th for a birthday celebration. Everybody was happy & full. We ordered family style. Appetizers were calamari, meatballs, fried zucchini, mozzarella sticks, antipasto board...Entree pasta shrimp scampi, chicken parm, eggplant, salmon, ravioli w/beef inside, etc. Everything was good except salmon was dry/over cooked & pasta shrimp scampi needed salt & pepper. Dessert was delicious.
Quite the Classy Evening I've eaten Italian food my whole life & can tell when some places stand out, to me this is one of those places. This place has one of the classiest settings that I have ever experienced in a restaurant. The dining rooms are huge & are made to feed a ton of people. We were seated at an elevated booth that overlooked the entire room. What a nice touch, being able to take in the beautiful scenery of the restaurant. This place had it all: historic Italian artwork, a never-ending grand hallway, an expansive wine bar, big mirrors, leather booths, & clean white table clothes on every table. Our waitress was extremely kind & very attentive, especially at explaining all of the specials & promotions they had going on. We chose to start off with the Bombalina, an appetizer sampler consisting of Fried Mozzarella, Calamari, Zucchini Sticks, & Bruschetta. Everything was good here, especially with both the red & white sauces provided with the Bombalina. The white sauce specifically paired well with everything, it had a delicious lemon undertone. We then went into our main course in which we shared a Shrimp Fettuccini Alfredo and Ravioli. Both entrees were very good & I would get them again. Lastly, we ended with the dessert sampler: Cheesecake, Crème Brulee, Apple Crostada, & Tiramisu. My favorite was certainly the cheesecake.
Awesome, Phenomenal, Made my soul happy/ can’t wait to go back. Ps. _and it’s not because I’m fat. 😂😂 I’m a foodie! I love good food!!
Maggiano’s Little Italy is a warm and welcoming spot that truly delivers on both flavor and atmosphere. From the moment we walked in, the service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing. The portions are generous, perfect for sharing family-style, and every dish we tried was bursting with fresh, authentic Italian flavor. The pasta was cooked perfectly, the sauces rich and savory, and the desserts were absolutely worth saving room for. The cozy ambiance and classic Italian décor made the whole dining experience feel special.
Food was great, really classy. Servers are very and welcoming and recommended nice drinks for us, felt very cozy. Steak and salmon was cooked to perfection. Totally recommend for a nice date night or special occasion. Parking can be tricky sometimes cause it shares a lot with other businesses and can get full real especially weekends. We made a reservation, cause it was a weekend, hope that helps.
Great food, love their lightning, and super great staff Everytime we come here.
My family and I enjoyed a meal here on the evening of my birthday celebration. It was one of the most memorable experiences I've had thus far. I would like to express my gratitude to the chef, staff, and servers, as well as the owners. Everything was outstanding!
Really impressed! Food was excellent. We got multiple apps, entrees, sides, and even dessert, and everything was wonderful. Very impressed with quality and flavor. As great as the food was, the service was even better! Our server Felicia was absolutely top-notch, really appreciate all of her efforts. The atmosphere was also great. It was spacious and brightly lit. I really appreciate being at an Italian restaurant where I can both see my menu and travel to the restroom without bumping into other patrons. I liked the large event spaces in the back, very well equipped.
They were able accommodate our party of 16 (with a reservation 3 weeks in advance). There were other families in the same room and i could see they were able to navigate multiple wheelchairs and walkers. we also celebrated a birthday so we were allowed to bring in a cake and balloons. They served it for us. This is not a good place for small children 1-10 years old. There isnt much for them to do and they get irritable and can sometimes cause a scene (which happened at two different table while we were there.) This isnt a place that will put effort into entertaining the kids. It is however a really good place if you have a baby. We had two newborns under 2 months in our party. Plenty of room for two strollers next to our tables. Lighting isnt harsh and music isn't super loud. The babies were calm and didn't cry over anything. There are changing tables in the men's room! So I didn't have to change a diaper at the sink. There are private rooms in the back if you want to throw a kids party or a family event with a lot of young children. But the main dining floor is not the place to bring them unless you think ahead and provide your own coloring books or tablets to keep them occupied. Bathrooms are very clean and they have a back area with private rooms which are better for kids parties than the open floor of the restaurant.
Excellent Italian food served here. New Jersey has too many Italian restaurants. This one is the best we have tried. The food is always well prepared and hot. The service is always top notch.
First time here and I will say they have exceeded my expectation’s from the atmosphere to the service and the food! Our server was so helpful and attentive always checking up on us! Even helping us with some recommendations. The atmosphere was out of a movie. And the food was very tasteful. Not one bad bite! We even ordered food to go and that was just as good later on after heating it at home! Would definitely recommend you going here! Next time I go I have to try there family style food.
Amazing mushroom ravioli! Authentic restaurant with the fine touches such as the smoking of the food which makes you feel like you’re in Italy , great wine selection ! We sat at the bar there was no wait.
The food was excellent, with great flavor and plentiful portions. The service was very good as well, and very personable. Especially the way they catered to our allergy requests, and we had a large party. I love coming here and will frequent this location again as well as suggest it to others.
There are lots of free parking spaces available. There is no valet service here. This place is good for solo or group dining. Lots of delcious choices on the menu. Great service and great tasting food as always.
Amazing place. We had dietary restrictions. When we told the waiting staff, they informed the chef and it was great of her to come out and ask us all our restrictions. We were really impressed. The chef prepared amazing pasta and we really enjoyed our meal.
I highly recommend this restaurant for dinner. It has ample space to accommodate a large group. The entrées are quite generous in size, so sharing is definitely an option to consider. The menu offers a wide variety of choices, and the staff and manager are welcoming and accommodating. Overall, I give this place a big thumbs up!
This restaurant is somehow understated as a happy hour spot. But with the excellent food and $3 draft beer plus $4 flatbread, it is always a wonderful choice. Delicious pasta and appetizers are a staple happy hour or not. The service, decor and experience overall is memorable.
Went here with family yesterday and it was absolutely amazing! There was so much different food options and I got really stuffed at the end of the meal. Everything was so tasty... I don't even like zucchini but they made it taste awesome! Our waiter Randy was the best, I even had a temporary dietary restriction and he made sure my food didn't have what I couldn't have. Thank you so much, definitely want to come back!
Amazing service and the food was delicious. Our waiter kept bringing us bread. Definitely recommend if you are craving Italian food. The portions were very generous. The family meals and the couple deals are great!
TheMichael, the manager, provided the best service I have ever received by approaching the table and inquiring about our well-being. After settling into a comfortable booth. The server Britney makes recommendations for the best food options. We ate together as a family and left with plenty of delicious leftovers. We intend to return to this location more frequently and will undoubtedly recommend it to family members and friends. I can not get over how wonderful the staff is; they genuinely enjoy what they do. The food was so good that I forgot to take pictures. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this location, and I will recommend it to family and friends.
A lovely, cozy spot to have great Italian food. It has plenty of options, and the service is exceptional. Our server Emily was incredibly friendly and always smiling, and ready to go the extra distance to give you a great experience. They will even celebrate your birthday. The food was delicious, and the seasonal pumpkin cheesecake was especially good. Would definitely recommend.
Decent Italian place. It's a chain that is definitely a step up from others like olive garden. Atmosphere and service is very good. Food is acceptable but not the best Italian imo. They do offer most of the expected Italian dishes.
I order the Fettuccine bolognese almost twice a week and it is Sooooo Gooood I can’t say enough about it. With the fresh cut carrots in the sauce OMG 5 star!!!! On top of that I order through GrubHub and live 24 minutes away and my bread still arrives warm that’s amazing I love it here !!!
I recently took my family to Maggiano’s Little Italy, and our server, Will, made the experience truly exceptional. He ensured that every aspect of our visit was outstanding and delivered service with genuine professionalism and class. He was especially attentive to our children, which made the experience even more enjoyable for them. I would like to sincerely thank Will for making our dining experience one of the best we have ever had.
This restaurant is wonderful in every way. The ambiance is very pleasant, with soft lighting and nice decor. The food is amazing, from the appetizers to entrees to dessert. The ravioli, zucchini frite and tiramisu are exceptional. Service is also first class. We recently had dinner here to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday. The wait staff and manager were extremely kind, going out of their way to make us feel comfortable. A great experience all around.
I recently ordered a 2 person family meal with different meals. I have no idea what some people are complaining about. This take out service was just spectacular!!!! The food was amazing (both entrees). The salad was FRESH and wonderful. Good size portions - no complaints here. I must say that me and my wife were taken back by the quality. A little pricey but after tasting the food it was well worth it. Honestly. We did order an appetizer and that also amazed us. Service was excellent, professional and personal. Can’t wait to return. Not your average Joe’s!!!!!
Maggiano’s is amazing, they never miss!! I have been a customer since I lived in NC the Durham location was my go to. Since moving to NJ we have been to this location twice and it has not disappointed! Our server was Amber and she was a doll, very attentive and genuinely friendly. I love when the server shares a few laughs with us. Thank you for making date night that much more enjoyable for my wife and I.
Ginny was incredible helpful and responsive as I was planning my baby shower and then the onsite staff was absolutely incredible when I got there! Estella, James and Sam were unbelievably helpful, nice and professional. James especially was the biggest hit when the party started! He was so attentive to our guests and went above and beyond with everything. He also took a huge task off of our plate with popping all the balloons in our balloon arch after the party ended. We couldn’t recommend Maggiano’s and Ginny, Estella, James and Sam more to anyone for any event!!
This is my go-to spot for Italian food! The customer service is always warm and friendly, and the food is consistently on point, fresh, and full of flavor. You can truly taste the quality in every bite. Highly recommend! 🍝✨
I stopped by Maggiano’s Little Italy to pick up an order, and Javohn made the experience excellent. He was friendly, professional, and made sure everything was ready and accurate. The pickup process was smooth and quick, and his positive attitude really stood out. Even for a simple pickup, Javohn made me feel valued as a customer. Great service—I truly appreciate it!
I honestly did not expect this place to be so family centric because of the way Maggiano market themselves so if you looking for a place to eat with the family this would be on your list. A lot of children and teenagers you will see. If you’re looking for more of an intimate setting this would not be your place. We came in for dinner with a reservation. We only waited 10 mins to be seated. I like that you can hang out at the bar and they will come get you. We sat down and I ordered this tequila drink that was surprisingly good. We ordered the meatball and garlic bread for apps and they were both yummy. Good sized meatballs. The sauce was okay but the meatball itself was seasoned well. I ordered the rigatoni that comes with chicken but I sub the cream sauce for the vodka sauce. It also came with mushrooms. The whole meal was 9/10. The only bad thing about it was the chicken. Dry and flavorless so skip the chicken if you get the rigatoni. The mushrooms and the vodka sauce were my favorite. My partner ordered the chicken parm and he enjoyed his meal as well. Our server was good but he rushes a little bit. I understand there is so many tables to wait on and a million things to do but not making me rushed will go a long way but he served us well. He made a mistake with my partner food but fixed it for us and gave us free dessert which we appreciated. All in all we would eat here again. It is on the expensive side so not your every week or every month restaurant visit.
Food tastes well. Service is fair. Ambiance is relaxing. Tables are moderately spaced between other tables. Parking space is not as appropriate to how many tables they have inside so if it is peak time then you are going to park further or worse no parking would be available as they share parking space with other tenants. See images for further reference. Restroom is filthy and smelly. High chair seen. Ramps also seen for wheelchairs. They have conference rooms/rooms for rent for occassions.
A large restaurant so you can get that table even if you planned last minute. Food is delicious but so rich in preparation and large in portions. You can get your entire week’s calories in one meal. So, it’s great to get your Italian cuisine fix that can last!
Went here for the first time for the Thanksgiving dinner, which was served family style. The caeser and regular salads were very good, as were the desserts, but the main course, was lacking. I would like to come back for a regular night out dinner, and i will update.
Perfection! This store is beter then Cheesecake Factory itself (my opinion) Go try out their spaghetti! Their meatballs is good as I thought , even the sauce too. would highly recommend it, W
The service and atmosphere here gives upscale Italian restaurant but the food was very lackluster. I ordered stuffed mannicoti and it was all cheese and cheese sauce, no tomato sauce at all. It was tasty but so heavy and not at all what was expected (menu did not mention it was only in a cream sauce). My husband got the chicken piccata and it was lackluster as well. The smoked old fashioned also had a lot of show for presentation but the smoke was not present in the flavor of the drink. Definitely more of a chain restaurant food experience. If you're in Jersey do youself a favor and go to a real italian place rather than here.. This place is so expensive for mediocre italian
We had a pre fixed menu. I was surprised because the Food did not meet our expectations. The only thing I liked on the menu was the Lasagna everything else was pretty regular nothing out of the ordinary.
Good food...not great...just ok service. I was honestly a little disappointed. The food is extremely expensive and just ok. And really the menu is kinda limited. The wine prices are outrageous. I usually don't go negative on a place ; but, $360 for a family of 5 and the only drinks were sangria and a beer. Eesh. ...chicken Parm was so so. The mushroom appetizer and calamari were awesome. My shrimp scampi was average. Filet was good. The manicotti was above average. I dunno just an average dinner at a crazy price. It's great tho if u need to go somewhere that can seat a ton of people I noticed. Not sure I'll go back.
We had a gift card to eat here. So glad it didn't come out of our pockets. An Italian restaurant that wouldn't give you olive oil with your bread instead of butter? I was mortified. The Bronzino was the worst I ever had. It looked like shoe leather and tasted like it could have been. My husband got bake Ziti with sausage. Not that flavorful either. Such a small glass of Proseco for 9$?. I felt bad for the server. I used the knife for the butter that I didn't want. I had to ask for a clean one for my disappointing meal. When she took my order she didn't take my husband's. I said he wants something too. She said I thought you might be sharing. What! The food took an eternity to come. It was a weeknight. When it came, I couldn't tell there was crab meat on top of the Bronzino. It was so dry. When this disappointing meal was over, she gave us the wrong check. Not bothered by that. Things happenm She never asked if we wanted dessert. My husband got the cheesecake to go. Never will dine there again. That was the only thing that tasted good.
Tonight we went to Maggianos for family dinner following a football game at Bridgewater Raritan field. The parking lot was completely full as there was (2) events occurring in their back rooms. This was an inconvenience, but not the end of the world. The crab cake appetizer was delicious and is served with (2) medium sized crab cakes which were shared. Service was the biggest issue. Our waitress was very friendly but appeared to be forgetful. I ordered a beer when we sat down and had to inquire with the waitress (20) minutes later as it had not arrived. Our table of (5) ordered (4) pasta dishes and (1) salad w/ chicken. The (4) pasta dishes came out but no salad. After (10) minutes I inquired with the waitress who apologized and advised it would be right out. Another (5-10) minutes later the salad came out with no chicken. It took an additional (10) minutes to get the chicken. At this time, everyone had finished their meals. It should be noted that the men’s bathroom was absolutely disgusting. I brought my son to use the urinal and there was sufficient standing water under the urinals that you had to stand in to utilize. Final thoughts, this place is great for take out with the double entree for $10. I won’t be dining in again.
Quite disappointed with the quality of food we have here. Had very high expectations with this place. Ambience is good. Services is also good but the food is not up to the mark.
What used to be exceptional is now just another mediocre restaurant. Although I don’t usually care for chain restaurants, I always considered Maggiano’s the exception. The food was good; the service was good and there was good value for the dollar. Not so much anymore. After the football game yesterday a group of us met at this restaurant. The food was not great, the gravy \ tomato sauce recipe had changed, the menu was limited, the portions were much smaller and it was overpriced. Cost us over $350 for 4 people for a couple of pasta dishes. The best thing I can say is that the service was outstanding. The discussion around the table was that we should have gone to the local Italian place we frequent. Taking this place off my list. Too bad.
Been here several times to dine in. Overtime there menu has changed and not for the better. family style was once amazing …more than satisfying and fulfilling experience. Recently got a giftcard and decided to try a to go family meal for 2… disappointing.. salad now has avocado? was never necessary… dessert is lemon cookies? Please save your money and do not bother ordering take out. I rather spend my money at applebees … a better bang for your buck. Husband waited outside for 20minutes for pick up…. Never texted or let me him know it was ready…
So, I went to Maggiano’s in Bridgewater on Tuesday night looking forward to a good meal after a hard day’s work at the office and the hard facets of dealing with the freezing cold. I have been to the restaurant before. The ambience is very nice and the best thing I had at Maggiano’s was the bread. But I am sad to say that I was quite disappointed in the meal. The food is not all commensurate with the ambiance. The food was very mediocre and not well balanced for nutrition. When I go out or cook at home, I like to have a nutritious meal which consists of a balance of vegetables, Meat, potatoes etc. The salad choices did not have a lot of vegetables in them. They no longer have soup at the restaurant. They used to have a good vegetable soup. I had Chicken Marcella and I was hoping that they would serve vegetables as well as perhaps some form of potato. Instead, I got pasta and a Chicken Marcella that had so little tasty flavor to it. I ordered additional broccoli. This dint do too much to satisfy me either. I ended up paying $85.00 dollars for a very mediocre meal. I should have gone to a diner. I would have been much more satisfied and paid a lot less for a meal that I would have liked. I was quite disappointed. An elegant ambience but completely inelegant and over priced food. I was quite unhappy.
Ate there only once. They sat us down on the left side. I noticed that only minorities were sitting there while there was plenty of room available in the main middle section. The manager came and gave us a ton of mint freshener which was another red flag. I picked up racist vibes. Regarding food... Yeah it's not authentic just like the olive garden. It's fast food version of Italian food so it's definitely not legit. If you're not Italian you wouldn't know the difference anyway. We will not return. And they should definitely hire non racist staff.
I wish I didn't have to give a low review. Went with 18 people for Christmas Eve. The idea is to eliminate stress on a stressful holiday. We go out every year and last year they did great. Took forever to be greeted. Tried to order drinks but waiter was not prepared had to wait for waitress helping. Ordered apps with little problem. Took about 25 minutes for first round of drinks another 40 for apps. Once we ordered meals it all went down hill. The people bringing out the food had no idea what we ordered and brought some food we ordered and some we did not. After the first round we had a 3rd of our meals although 2 were incorrect. The 2 incorrect came back out incorrect again. After about 3 hours we had a 3rd of our meals and about half of those were incorrect. At this point I contacted the manager who offered 50 percent off I told her we didn't even get half of yhe meals so 50 percent was just her not billing us for items we didn't get. When all was said and done we left after 3 hours with 2 kids and 6 adults not eating. We did pay the %50 and left without much concern from the manager. Terrible don't go here especially not to have a stress free holiday
Very disappointed in my experience here. My family and I used to love this place. I went the other night and the food was absolutely terrible. They no longer serve Italian bread with oil. It’s basically Texas Roadhouse buns with butter. Honestly red as roadhouse buns are better. I ordered a penne vodka dish and asked to add chicken. I recieved the smallest cut chicken strips that were so rubbery and chewy it was disgusting. I will no longer be returning to this location. The quality of food is not the same.
I came with a group to celebrate my Birthday. The staff welcomed us in, but after being seated, the rest of our experience was less than ideal. Our server could not independently do anything. We asked on occasion for refills of food (which you can do with a large party [11] if you are participating in family style dining) only to be told that “they no longer give extra food”. We needed to have the manager come over to explain to the waiter that they do in fact give refills of certain parts of the dinner. Next the dessert came out. I brought my own cake as it is my birthday and it states on their website that bringing a cake is acceptable. I also called to double check. It was time to sing, a cup of ice cream was brought out instead of my cake. I asked about the cake twice. When it came to packing up all the desserts, we asked for containers. Foil containers were brought out. When we inquired about plastic containers that could fit a piece of cake, we were told that they ran out of plastic containers. We saw about 10 more plastic containers be given to other tables around us. This birthday dinner ended up being more of a headache than anything. The staff lacked communication which impacted the entire meal. I WOULD NOT recommend this location for large gatherings.
