Well this was just FANTASTIC! The flavours of the food were amazing and if I had space in my stomach I’d have tried the whole menu! I didn’t take many pictures as was enjoying the food so much, but this one is tempura monkfish and squid ink rice - a great balance of flavours. This place deserves an award (if it doesn’t have one already). Highly recommended for the sensational tastes and relaxed atmosphere.
Great little restaurant just off the high street overlooking the sea. The atmosphere inside is great with lots going on and a cosy feeling to the place. Really friendly staff inside who helped us out giving us recommendations on what to get on the tapas style menu. The food at first looked small but after getting through all the six dishes we were definitely full at the end. The quality I have to say was something else and definitely puts this place up there on restaurants to visit in broadstairs.
Another delightful experience at one of Broadstairs best restaurants! They are great with our two goldies bring water and a plate of dog treats as you arrive. Lovely selection of gins. Support local produce. Today was a Sunday roast sort of day... And why not deliver an amazing rare 48 day aged rib eye slice with delicious Yorkshire pudding, roast spuds and accompanying veggies. To start we had seaweed butter with a crazy yummy freshly baked sourdough loaf! Go there!!! You will not be disappointed.
Stunning Location and Breathtaking Views 🌊 Twenty Seven Harbour Street in Broadstairs - Kent offers breathtaking ocean views that create a perfect dining ambiance. It's a sight you have to see to believe! Exceptional Service and Comfort 😊 Despite needing reservations, the owner and staff kindly accommodated us at the spacious and comfortable bar area. Their warm hospitality made us feel right at home. Delightful Sunday Roast Experience 🍽️ We dined on a Sunday and enjoyed the special Sunday roast menu. The trout and oysters starters were exquisite, and the main course fish dish with sides was simply delicious. Knowledgeable and Patient Hosts 🥂 Our host was incredibly patient, explaining the setup, concept, and menu in detail. We loved every bit of it, and the food was truly to die for. A Must-Visit Destination 🌟 For stunning views, exceptional service, and mouth-watering food, Twenty Seven Harbour Street in Broadstairs is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
We were there for Sunday lunch so the menu was slightly switched up. Their most popular small plates as starters, then selection of roast. Everything we ate was delicious. Tempura peppers filled with goats cured, stone bass crudo, and roast cod for main with the most insanely delicious sides I have ever eaten (I need the recipe for their potato3es). Add to that the most lovely staff and you have a winner.
Their small plates concept allowed us to share and try a bit of everything, which made the experience even better. The seafood was incredibly fresh and locally sourced, and you can tell each dish was thoughtfully prepared. The staff were super friendly and made great recommendations that really enhanced our meal.
A great choice if you're looking for beautifully cooked, delicious plant-based options (alongside local seafood and meat dishes for pescatarians and meat eaters). Very close to Viking Bay with a limited sea view. Staff are friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere is relaxed. Nice decor. The restaurant is dog-friendly and allows well behaved mutts on a short lead. Customer toilets are clean and modern. A special mention to our fantastic server/sommelier George who made us feel very welcome and who has a good understanding of the wine list. Would deffo visit again. Happy to recommend.
We came for a joint birthday dinner and were blown away with the level of both service and the food. Some of the guests we dined with have previously eaten in Michelin starred restaurants and they stated the food was on par if not above that of where they’ve eaten before. They accommodated our request of putting some birthday candles in the Eel croquettes dish without hesitation and our server was warm, friendly and very knowledgable. The food was exceptional with the standout dishes including the smoked eel croquettew, prawn with mint and chilli, the stonebass crudo and the lamb. The wine was delicious and the Scottish G&T was sensational. Overall an amazing dinner and very special for the two birthdays had.
Simply the best restaurant in Broadstairs and, by my reckoning, one of the very best in the country. With beautiful surroundings and a warm welcome, the restaurant is found tucked on the shaded road running up from the beach. The wine is of the highest quality, and the food is sublime, not a word I use lightly. Every dish is perfection, from the fresh oysters to the small plates of inspired, seasonal dishes, it's a sensation. I bet highly recommend this restaurant having visited with my friend on four occasions now. A real treat.
Superb all round. Excellent service and staff. Small plates lead you to try everything and I'm glad we sampled most of the menu as it was my wife's birthday. The Tempura red peppers with goats curd are incredible, followed by perfectly cooked venison and sirloin. The Sussex Charmer souffle was also wow. Our dog ozzy was also enjoying his sample menu on the side and now gives me the nod if we walk past. Broadstairs has a wonderful selection of restaurants and this goes to the top of my favourite dinners. Highly recommend.
Amazing atmosphere and brilliant service. Our server Sundra was very attentive and helpful. All the food was very tasty, my favourite was the sorched seabass! The only frustrating bit was that three of the dishes had far too much salt so you couldn’t really taste the dishes. I would potentially go back if I was in the area and wanted somewhere to go for a celebration.
It's been 10 years since our last visit to Broadstairs. Back then a pretty quiet coastal town. Now a buzzing, busy place. It changed quite a bit. Close to the harbour and bay you'll find this restaurant. Serving food all day. And dogs are welcome as well. We made a reservation to secure a table on this afternoon. Many small plates are served here. Tapas style. The idea is to order several and share. And that's a good thing, we always enjoy this kind of thing. Staff was nice, friendly and welcoming. It wasn't really busy, so food came to our tables quickly. Ordered Whitstable native oysters (house tabasco, lemon), Pickled ginger granita dressed rock oysters, Shrimp carpaccio/ceviche (raw), clams and the monkfish. Some Chargrilled sourdough (with potted shrimp butter) and Viking Bakehouse sourdough. All the items were excellent. Fresh fish and seafood. Nicely prepared and presented. And as good as they looked on the plate. Shrimps was really well done, with a bit for fire in form of chillis. The monkfish was cooked to perfection. It can get tough if overdone, but this here was on point! Prices for the location and quality of food is fair. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and views over the bay from some tables (we had a window seat). One of the best meals we've had in the UK this trip.
After the staff were incredibly helpful with a booking confusion on Saturday night, I returned on Sunday for perhaps the most delicious roast I've ever. The staff were polite, interested and very entertaining. Cannot recommend highly enough the whole experience. Especially the sticky toffee pudding.
Sunday lunch is next level , but always have to go in the week for the small plates menu. Don’t miss the mini pasta fried delights. Gotta try them all! Everything’s well thought out and delicious and staff/service are lovely too!
Had an impromptu meal out with my husband (first night out without the children for about a year 😂) and struggled to find places that were open or had availability - we are so glad we found this place. Small plates so gives you the opportunity to try lots of different things. Absolutely fabulous food. Both the dishes that were recommended were amazing. Will definitely be back again - see you in a year 😂😊
I can honestly say this was the best roast dinner I have ever had. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere was relaxed but full of charm. The roast itself was flawless — tender, perfectly cooked meat, golden roast potatoes that were crisp on the outside and fluffy inside, and a Yorkshire pudding that was towering and light. The vegetables were fresh, full of flavour, and cooked to perfection, while the rich, silky gravy brought everything together beautifully. What really stood out was the attention to detail — nothing felt rushed or mass-produced. You can taste the care and passion that goes into every element of the meal.
Very fresh and delicious seafood 🦞 The service is also perfect 👍 Highly recommend the Lindisfarne oyster, prawn ceviche and tuna tartare! Best oysters and prawn I have ever eaten in UK. Other dishes were also fresh and delicious 😋
Amazing food! This little restaurant can be found right at the head of the beach and it offers small sharing plates of which most people order 2-3 dishes each. We went here for a birthday lunch and the food was worthy of it being on the Michelin guide. Not quite Michelin stars level but more than enough to be listed. Obviously this does come at a cost though but still, 5 stars for the delicious food.
went here 3 days ago for my 18th and i wouldn't have wanted to spend my evening in any other place - such a memorable experience. the food was incredible; some of the best small dishes i've had - the flavours were delicious. the bartender was so lovely and recommended me a wine, and the rest of the staff were great too. such a nice vibe in there, i highly recommend! then you can go on a walk on the beach after ;)
Marvellous food, balanced and cooked perfectly, very friendly service from the lovely supervisor who looked after us, the amazing head chef and Jan the owner who we also had a chat with. Not the cheapest but worth every penny for the quality of food served, highly recommend
Delicious. We especially love the shrimp butter which you can’t try anywhere else. Oyster is good, Tuna tartar is good. The mackerel with XO source is good. The eel dish is quite unexpected but tastes good too!
Finally managed to get a table here. Google online booking does not allow booking for solo diners but the girls were kind enough to accommodate me at the bar area. I had a wonderful lunch and chatted with a local family who were so friendly. Jersey oysters, tuna tartar, clams and special lobster were all delicious. Especially the tomato salad. I was too busy enjoying the dishes and didn't end up taking pics for other dishes. Great wine by the glasses option. Tips: you can make an online booking for 2 pp but make a note if it's for a single dinner. The restaurant would make adjustments on their end.
THE BEST FOOD AROUND! If you’re in the area you MUST visit Wyatt and Jones. Their staff are delightful and the food is incredible - even if you’re unfamiliar with something, don’t be afraid to give it a shot. We had the most incredible dish that was actually a kind of local turnip, and everything was amazing. The view and location is also stunning, very close to the beach. The chef was great with food allergies and made a gluten and dairy free menu just for me.
Really like the concept of small plates. Restaurant recommends 5-6 plates between two people and it’s perfect amount to share. Sourdough bread is fantastic and really compliments some of the dishes. Our bread came with butter and salt, absolutely delicious. Jersey Rock Oysters - fresh, clean and huge. I have never seen oysters that huge. My partner really enjoyed them. Scarlet prawn ceviche, garlic chilli, Kentish rateseed oil - one of the best plates we ordered. The prawn is tender and well seasoned. The crispy garlic and chilli just heavenly delicious and goes soo well with the sourdough bread. I cleaned my whole plate. Courgette flower, goats curd, honey - what a surprise. I have had courgette flower before but this is something else. The filling and crispy flower is just perfect match. Cornish mackerel, tiger prawns, mussels, sobrassada paella - full on flavours, generous with seafood, if anything maybe slightly dry. But it didnt stop us to finish it. UK ex dairy sirloin (medium rare), mushroom xo butter - really nice, tender, well seasoned and cooked stake. (Medium rare is the default way they cook their stake - can’t order any orther way) The whole dinner was very nice, all foods were nicely seasoned, well cooked from fresh produce and delicious. Atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely. It’s rather small and busy restaurant, so little tip is to turn up on time not earlier.
Wow. What a great place ! Imagine the best wine bar crossed with an amazing small bites restaurant where you will want to order every single thing on the menu. Where the service is world class. And where the vibe is the perfect blend of intimate and relaxed. We’ll that’s Wyatt and Jones. Go there now and you won’t have to imagine it !!!
What an incredible roast, the vegetables were the main star despite how good the beef & pork belly actually were.
Incredible food, lovely atmosphere & service 🥰 Literally everything we had was YUM!!! Sourdough with shrimp butter is a must try
We went here for a special dinner and wow was it special. Every dish was amazing. The decor was beautiful and the service was on point. Great recommendations along the way! Favourite was the seabass, croquettes and the mini doughnuts! Special shout-out to the beauty of the tomato salad :) And the wine was delicious - Volatil Thank you!
Amazing place. Very professional and polite service. Prices rather on 'London side' but food well worth it! Highly recommended Make sure to book a table! By the window - cause the view is good too!
Had a fantastic food with my partner. Really friendly staff, amazing food. Best food I have had out for a while. Food was presented really well and looked as good as it tasted. Very tasty, fresh and came out with perfect timing. I didn't feel rushed or that I was waiting. Perfect. Service was friendly, good fun and attentive. Atmosphere was relaxed chatty and a nice buzz. I will be visiting again.
Came for a night away to Broadstairs to visit this restaurant as we’ve been working through The Times best restaurants on the south coast list - was one of the best meals we’ve ever had. We ordered dishes as we went and ended up being here for nearly 3 hours just grazing. Had to get 2 portions of their sourdough to mop up all the sauce - everything was delicious. Service was great and very relaxed too. Will definitely be back!
"Everything is just so right. The food is amazing, so delicious, the lasagne fritti and the pomme Anna need a special mention OMG OMG OMG 🤤 but everything tastes so yummy. The wine is really good too, the service is attentive and the ambiance is warm and inviting. What’s not to love !"
Once again we had the most incredible meal - the flavours were wonderful and literally every dish we had was completely delicious. We were actually talking about it the following day discussing the meal and the flavours. Can’t wait for our next visit 🙏
I like to think of myself as a roast dinner connoisseur. This was - hands down - the best I’ve ever had. The setting was fantastic, yards from the beach with a fantastic view of the coast. The service was warm and welcoming. And the food was absolutely incredible.
Extremely tasty meal! A true gem near to the harbour. They do fantastic cocktails and the menu varies slightly each day, check the daily menus in the window by the restaurant entrance. We had dinner and managed to get a table without reservation. If you are visiting Friday or Saturday I would advise booking in advance. Every meal we ate we loved, however we felt a table next to us received larger portions of steak which was odd, they need to manage the portion control slightly better as we felt short changed after that. The prices are fair for the classy tasty and interesting food. Staff attentive and helpful. Would visit again. Must be one of the best restaurants in and around Broadstairs.
We were lucky and found two seats at a very busy time. Everything was cooked beautifully and flavors were bold and delicious. Only downside is that some plates are incredibly small, even some mains. Yes, I know the description of the place says “small-plates”, but three thin slices of fish in the crudo or four slices of miso glazed swede for a 20 pound main dish, even with a Sunday roast trimming, can be surprisingly small. Would love to go back as food was delicious, service was very friendly, and wine offering was up to it, but hopefully portions could be slightly revised.
Amazing view if you get the right away from these guys. Very easy to see why this place is in the Michelin guide and has such a great Google rating. Chefs were professional and listened to special requests. The place has recommended wine and food pairings...with a catch of the day. And a daily menu to pique your interest.
We came here in July. Food was really good and delicious - credit to the chefs. The service on the other hand was not great to the point that 6 months have passed and we are still thinking about it. The waitress forgot parts of our order, and when it was brought to her attention that it was forgotten, little care was shown. In a restaurant like this which is more upscale than other places in the town, I would naturally expect the service here to have been better. Would also add that a wine glass we were given was chipped which we noticed immediately. Would not come again despite being fond of the food.
Nice spot, we enjoyed the small plates but with our Sunday roast it was a bit over cooked our fish as you can see in the picture half of the fish was burnt. Did mention to the staff but they didn’t bother to help or change the dish. Also I prefer your ala cart menu than your Sunday roast.
