The food is so good here I loved it so much and great workers
I had a good experience eating at pollo campero, it was a clean environment and food was delicious with fast customer service.I had A young lady named Dariana who was very welcoming and gave me a good service, made sure I had everything I got right.
The food is amazing and the store is very nice the food is A1 👌 I'll be back again with friends.
Today was my first time coming here. Let me tell you the food is amazing. I also experienced great service. I am amazed on how good the food was
It's been sometime since I've last been to Pollo Campero. I'd say about 2 years ago and shortly before I began making Restaurant reviews a hobby which means I very rarely go to the same spot twice unless it's left a big impression on me. With that said Pollo Campero has always been one of my favorite chicken spots, tied up there with Jollibee so I took the opportunity to swing by location in Herald Square, Manhattan. Inside the place was clean, spacious and surprisingly uncrowded considering I was in the city on a Friday. Service was decent, no complaints, as I've stated in another review earlier this week, I don't expect fast food service to be stellar or elite, it just has to not be terrible so I'd give PC here a solid A. After my order was taken and I was waiting for my order I just took in the atmosphere of the place and once again, it's a very maintained location and there are plenty of Pollo Campero spots within Manhattan so I wouldn't see overcrowding as a problem. I got my usual, 3 piece (1 grilled, 2 fried pieces) along with rice, a dinner roll and Horchata as my drink and I missed the taste of the chicken as it reminded me why Pollo Campero destroys the overrated but more well known chicken joints like KFC and Popeyes which have absolutely hit rock bottom in quality whether it comes to service or food. I might break my routine and review a few more spots even though I'm trying to focus more on more smaller, indie run restaurants but I can't be too far from Pollo Campero for too long, it's so good and it won't wreck my wallet either. I gotta give props to Pollo Campero. Inflation has ruined fast food spots for me and many of the bigger ones have fallen victim. PC for what it's worth, has stayed within it's lane of pricing. Even though this too has gone up in price, it's not by a lot, maybe about $2 to $3 difference compared to when I was last here 2 years ago. Y'all did good. I won't be gone for too long, I promise.
This chicken is the best I ever had I’m going to make this my new spot.Great service place is clean food come on time 👍🏾 Zaquana the manager ask me and wife is everything ok and everything she took care of us.
Best eats in nyc!! Excellent customer service and cleanliness 10/10 I would recommend this place 100% one of my favorite spots now, the fried chicken was flavorful, crisp and warm ready to eat😋dessert options and sides are just as good
Who knew lunch could be this good? I grabbed the Campero Bowl from Pollo Campero on MealPal and it blew me away! The colorful blend of crispy fried chicken, creamy avocado mash, and feta was beyond savory and fresh. New fave!
Today I try for first time this restaurant, is really good, the taste, the quality, the flavor and the customer service. I'm definitely gonna come back again! Thank you team :)
Hands down the best fried chicken of ALL the chicken chains! Food, drink, service and cleanliness was 10/10. A huge shoutout to employee Lorgia who was so kind during my first visit. Not only did she welcome me so kindly, she helped explain the options and provided recommendations and did it all with a smile. You rarely get service this great nowadays. Kudos to her! As for the food, the fried chicken is really delicious! The seasoning is quite unique and flavorful. I recommend it over the grilled chicken. You get several sides to choose from. I tried the plantains, rice, mac and cheese and yuca fries. They were all great and tasted really fresh which is surprising for a fast food chain. My only criticism would be that the sides are a little pricey for the size, nonetheless, they’re good. As for the drinks, they offer a variety of juices like Horchata (Rice, Cinnamon, Milk), Jamaica (Hibiscus) and Peach Mango, along with a wide selection of sodas to choose from. I went with Peach and Mango which was great as it was not too sweet and paired right with my food. And finally, in regards to the cleanliness: the restaurant was spotless. There was a very nice gentleman who was doing table service, cleaning, and checking up on guests. He was on top of things and did a great job maintaining great service on the floor. Overall, I’m more than impressed. Food, cleanliness, service, drink, and attention surpassed my expectations. I didn’t expect this to be this good but it did so I’ll certainly be coming back. I highly recommend you visit!
Pollo Campero is a fantastic restaurant that offers delicious Guatemalan-style chicken dishes. As someone who is half Guatemalan, I was excited to try out their food and was not disappointed. I ordered the campero bowl with rice, beans, guacamole, and their famous chicken, and it was an absolute delight. Their Flan was amazing!! Loved it. The chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and it was clear that the restaurant uses high-quality ingredients. I loved the fact that Pollo Campero is a Guatemalan company that has come to the US, and it was great to taste authentic Guatemalan flavors. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant had a warm and inviting atmosphere. I would highly recommend Pollo Campero to anyone who loves delicious, flavorful chicken dishes. I'll definitely be coming back for more!
The service was really good. The food good as expected, pretty quite environment and not too expensive
Great spot to grab some pollo before heading on the bus. Plus cause they have a bathroom with a secret code. Hint..you gotta buy some pollo. Yucca fries were crispy, good dipping sauce. Platanos dulce were squishy. All in all a good experience until shorty playing rough with me on 6th. Knocked my mango tea outta my hands. 3/17 chicken sandwhich much better than popeyes. Sweet plantains and yucca fries.
I only tried their, Chicken Sandwich, top 5 Chicken Sandwich of all time. The fries not good, it was meh. BBQ sauce is average. Good price! 12.85 for the meal (free refills), will try other items. Services was fast and fresh.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Pollo Campero – 6th Ave, New York Stopped by Pollo Campero on 6th Ave and was pleasantly surprised! They offer lots of food for a reasonable price and the seating inside is spacious and clean. Service was fast, friendly, and efficient, which made the experience even better. They had great deals—the 4-piece chicken meal was priced the same as the 3-piece! The fried chicken was crispy, flavorful, and definitely the highlight. Some of the other chicken varieties were just okay in comparison, but still decent. Fries were tasty and nicely seasoned. Overall, a good spot for a quick, filling meal in a convenient location. Would come back again for the fried chicken and value deals!
Pollo Campero offers entrees. Tried both grilled (only bone-in) and fried chicken. I prefer the grilled. Seasoned, citrusy taste on skin. The 2-piece meal with a side, dinner roll costs around $10; with white meat is +$1.90, so came out to around $12. Make sure to say grilled bec I was given fried at first ( I forgot to specify and also wasn't asked). Twice, there was also a little wait for the grilled. The fried bone-in chicken to me has a different flavor from other fast food fried chicken. Tasty, skin not crispy though. My family liked the classic chicken sandwich meal- fried, only with pickles, a side, around $10. Grilled wasn't an option for sandwiches. I like that the sides are not the typical fast-food options. There's fried yuca (good but some a bit fibrous), plantains, beans, rice to name a few. I like this place bec of the different sides actually. Better to get with a meal, since $4 already for a small portion. Self-serve drinks stations on both floors. There's also horchata (good, peanuty flavor, slightly sweet), jamaica (hibiscus), mango. On the app, added 2 empanadas to a meal for $2. With saucy Chicken, but will pass next time. Cholula hot sauce and ketchup on the tables. When dining in, food is brought to you and is served on a plate. Seating is available on both floors, 2nd floor has a larger area. We didn't appreciate though when an employee asked us to move from our table while waiting for our app order for another customer who ordered in-store, instead of opening up the closed section which he needed to do anyway since more customers came. Restrooms on both floors. Great location bec in Herald Square area. Will keep this place in mind as an option for a quick bite. The app is easy to use and offers rewards as well.
First off, there are many areas for dining. The restaurant is usually not crowded, therefore finding seats should not be a huge problem for customers. There are many ways to order: kiosks, over the counter, and even online. (Suggestion: pre-order online to pick up before you arrive to the restaurant so it would not take as long as it would waiting if you ordered physically. There is also no problem with sitting down after picking up your order.) We ordered a family 8 piece crispy chicken. The chicken was crispy and golden on the outside and on the inside it was moist and well done. The mac and cheese was deeeeelicious! Very creamy and flavorful and also well-seasoned. Also, try not to order the fries. Once they served us fries, it was very cold and hard and they did not serve a decent amount.
I went here randomly for a late quick dinner. I was on the way back to my hotel, which was around the corner, so I got the food to go. I wish I had checked the bag because they didn’t give me silverware and I had gotten mac n cheese. Luckily, the hotel had some silverware. The chicken was good and I liked that the buffalo sauce because it had a nice spice. The mac n cheese was also very creamy. Would I seek the restaurant out to eat there while in NYC? No, but they were quick and convenient.
Here is a pro tip. Just avoid it. The fried chicken was good. Everything else was less than average, not worth the price. The lady taking orders rang out our order incorrectly. We did get what was entered, but that is not what we asked for. Mac n cheese is not that good Chicken nuggets/bites are not that good The grilled chicken 2 leg and thigh are not that good. The beans were more like chili Again, with all the options, try something else. We just wanted a quick lunch figured we would give this a try. 4 adults
1) They closed off the 2nd floor so I had to stand up and wait for customers to finish so I can sit. Bad. Theyd rather let people stand than open the 2nd floor where there are seats and tables. 2) There is no soap inside the bathroom so I asked the cashier for a hand sanitizer she said there is no hand soap or sanitizer. 3) Chiken in a tiny tiny box for $10 plus tax. (No drinks included) look like a kids meal
