Best noodle soup in such cold weather, hot tea always , friendly and helpful staffs Of course the food really authentic, and affordable price . Definitely will back soon .
New place in town so we tried it out. It is a nice fix for me! The best oyster thin noodle I have ever had! Everything else is so good! There is amothan Taiwanese place 2 blocks away but they are salty so I don't get to have good Taiwanese food in my town. This is a game chamger in town!
Came here for their lunch special with my gf, two dish with one soup and two rice for $18.95 which was reasonably. We also order their Dungeness crab with salt and pepper, so delicious and cheap. Would definitely come back again.
Never a disappointment. I like their fermented crispy tofu. They also make a really good salt and pepper chicken, really good gua bao, and things in general. It's so hard to find a place that makes a good gua bao. Lol. Highly recommend this place and they close late!!
The ginger and scallions lobster is a killer, you have to try it or your life is worthless, unless allergic lol 😁
We tried the eggplant casserole, stinky tofu and chicken with sesame oil thin noodles. Wow! This place is exceptional. Everything was fresh, authentic and flavorful, stinky tofu was stinky but a must try.
Speaking of oriental foods? I love this place , most of the time me and my family dine in this restaurant not only because of delicious food but also because all the staff here are polite, caring well trained and very professional.and shout out to the owner the lady that always smile whos Guest service is above and beyond . I will come back and highly recommend this place.
Thumbs up to the delicious stinky tofu!!! The fish was cooked perfectly, all the other dishes were well made, we'll definitely come back again soon!
Have pass by this place lots of times and finally step in and try it out. First think I aware is their prices are low. The food quality is good, consider the price it's excellent.
First time there. Tasty. Bought a lunch special which was also cheap.
I wasn’t expecting much at beginning. But the food is extremely authentic and delicious! Stinky tofu, pig blood and intestine soup are so good!! They took me back to Asia for a moment!!!
💛💙❤️ shrimp with chilli over rice & minced pork with string beans is super tasty. Their lobster is also very good.
really good place for family to sit togetherwith A round table ,great taiwanese food and some more cantonese dishes ,seafood is so fresh server aways helpful with all my question. clams with baisil, beef with bamboo shoot.snow pea leave alwayS on my order list.
Went for the lunch special of ma poh tofu. Nice and spicy but did not burn your face off. Portion was huge and I took the rest home for dinner.
Wow the food is great, nice place, very good service
A very affordable Taiwanese restaurant in Elmhurst. The lunch special was only $6.95. The food is delicious too.
Beef chili pepper noodle soup is my go to here. Regular family dishes for sharing are great too, especially the string beans with pork, pork and taro, and 3 cup chicken.
We just had a good lunch in this restaurant. Staff are nice and easy to talk to, request granted quickly. Free peanuts, we got cabbage over the flame and my daughter enjoyed the noodles with beef :). Definitely will recommend this store.
I wanted to go and have a nice meal after a long day of work and I came across this intimate and friendly restaurant. I decided to dine -in and try their beef and scallion with white rice. For one, they offer tea on the table for everyone. I waited about 5 mins before my food came out and the portions were very large for only $8. I highly recommend this place! Food was really tasty and I don’t play about my Asian food either! I will definitely go back again!
Food was good, and is Taiwanese, so a bit different from what Americans are used to a Chinese food. Three-cup chicken is a standard Taiwanese dish, which is prepared well. The appetizer oyster pancake was delicious. Some dishes were less successful. The shrimp with walnuts had too few walnuts and the breading on the shrimp was overly heavy. But overall the food was good. The staff is friendly, but not overly attentive. Plus point: the restaurant is open late (11:00) in a neighborhood where many close early, so meeting friends and sitting and chatting is possible. We'll go here again. Also great prices for lobster.
Delicious food, reasonable price, friendly servers, casual ambiance
Delicious Taiwanese food, good prices, casual restaurant with big tables. Our usuals are ginger scallion lobster, oyster pancake, pork with bamboo shoots, clam ginger soup, salt pepper fish, beef chow fun, fried rice... Everything is good!
I've tried other Taiwanese restaurants, this is far the best one I tried. Service was excellent and fast. The chicken with mushroom dish came out in s smoky and dramatic fashion, smelled and tasted great. Fish Maw with jalapeño pepper, they sauteed with black been sauce which came out with a good and strong "wok aroma", that's what most sauteed Chinese dishes should come with. Beef with chilly pepper is the best. Last but not least, the sun genes each crab with sticky rice was fresh out of tank and very cheap compared to other seafood restaurants in the hood, a must try dish. I recommend this place
They have a $6.75 lunch special 11-4PM weekdays. Very authentic Chinese food. Would order Eggplant in Garlic Sauce, Fried Rice and other classics. I highly recommend this place over any fast casual place in the area.
Lovely outstanding meal for this Chinese New Year . Great friendly service from The chef. Delicious lobster, Crispy fried tilapia, basil clams. All my companions enjoyed their meals as well. Super delightful meal very attentive staff, pleasant surroundings.
If you want authentic Chinese seafood, look no further. This place has everything. Disinterested waiters. Weird things from the sea that, according to native Chinese, are cooked authenticly and well. The two fun Chinese soft drinks. And look, what's that! Is that a panda eating salmon? No! It's my son actually eating the food in front of him.
The food tastes very good! They cook fast too, I was surprised!
I went to this restaurant with my family (who eat meat) and the menu had a solid amount of options. As a vegan, Q Town Asian Cuisine was very accommodating to my dietary needs. I had the option to make an entirely custom order or to modify an existing item on the menu. I ended up ordering a custom vegan udon noodle soup and a sizzling tofu platter. Both orders were delicous. My family ordered the steamed king crab. According to them they said the flavor of the crab was fresh and sweet. Overall the customer service felt very personal. Our server, Andy, started chatting with our table. He made us feel like family. Will definitely be revisiting Q Town Asian Cuisine.
I have been getting food there for the last three years. The food any the staff are very good people.
I highly recommend this restaurant everything was perfect from the time that I went in to the time I left and now this restaurant is on my return list
Delicious, big variety. Lunch special til 4pm a must.
Large corner restaurant, not crowded when we visited on a Friday night. Ordered the spicy beef noodles and the salt pepper fried pork chop. Both were nice, and we would come back again. One thing to note is that we don’t think there is as many Taiwan specific dishes on the menu but a lot of variety of Chinese dishes.
This place was always crowded so I was curious. Ordered fried stinky tofu, oyster pancake, and beef fried rice. All was tasty! Decent portion, definitely can share for two per plate. My favorite was beef fried rice, it was light and not so greasy. Fried stinky tofu was savory and served with sour cabbage which was refreshing. Oyster pancake came soft. Price was fair, all under 10$ each for my order. They also have lunch special. The service was quick enough, and the staffs are helpful & friendly. You can come in large groups, there were big round tables. Would recommend!
This has been my go-to place for Taiwanese and family style takeout. Beef noodle soup, beef tripe appetizer, oyster pancake, 3 cup chicken, and stinky tofu are always so good. This time, I was able to dine in and really enjoyed it. We ordered oyster pancake, sauteed lobsters, walnut shrimp, sauteed spinach, sizzling [egg] tofu & ground pork, and beef & veggie lo mein for the toddler. We thoroughly enjoyed every bite and so did our toddler. Seasoning and flavor was on point for everything. Walnut shrimp had the right amount of breading and touch of crispiness. Egg tofu & pork was my fave and I could eat this all the time. The staff is super nice and child friendly. They made dining out with a young child so much easier and were accommodating.
If you like lobsters, I highly recommend getting the sautéed lobster with ginger & scallion. It’s fresh and the sauce is really good. My family always calls and orders deliveries on special occasions (they speak English, Cantonese, fuzhounese, Taiwanese, and mandarin) [it’s cheaper to order from the phone than on Uber eats] They’re very fast, on time, and the price is decent especially the lobster. (Make sure to call and ask if they deliver to your neighborhood) We recently tried the crab with steamed sticky rice (but they didn’t have crab so it was replaced with a lobster) I personally enjoyed the sticky rice but I didn’t like the lobster itself since it didn’t have sauce on it and it was very plain. I recommend getting: • (SP1) Sautéed lobster with ginger and scallion • (F7) sautéed flat noodle with beef • (F3) seafood Stir fried noodle • (B15) sizzling black pepper short ribs • (B6) beef & fried tofu • (p25) sizzling tofu with salted egg yolk
A Taiwanese restaurant at the heart of Elmhurst City along Broadway St corner Whitney Ave. Walking distance from Elmhurst subway station exiting Elmhurst Ave. Among other mouthwatering food,, my favorite is the sautéed lobster 🦞 and the mushrooms tofu white egg soup. Big space and we'll layed out tables. Friendly and fast service. Ideal for family, groups of friends, couples or even just you to treat yourself. Will definitely recommend 👌$$
If you are looking for AUTHENTIC and REAL Taiwanese food, this is the best place to go in Queens. Good food quality (nice ingredients) and quantity. Not cheap, not expensive, average price $20/each enjoying a full menu. Good service and mood, bartenders were very kind at all times. Place is clean (restrooms as well). Unlimited Black tea included while you eat. I suggest going there in groups of at least 4 people, that way you can taste more dishes. Pork, chicken and beef are delicious (see photos attached), and best served with rice.
TAIWAN 🇹🇼 Eat the World NYC review: This week sees the opening of a brand new Taiwanese restaurant in Elmhurst, at the always busy intersection of Broadway and Whitney Avenue just under the shadow of the LIRR tracks. As long as the food is good, this crossroads of the neighborhood should be a prime location for a restaurant to hang around a long time. The first word is almost fully positive, as our group of seven was generally impressed with the offerings. There are quite a few tables so you can go in any size group, but grab seven friends and sit at one of the big round tables that accommodates eight. The menu is bewilderingly expansive and ordering as much as possible is a good way to attack this new restaurant. We did just that, starting with the first page of "appetizers" which reads more like the list of stalls at the Shilin Night Market in the north of Taipei.
The service was ok, and the food did not disappoint. It's a rather popular restaurant. I would definitely go back there again.
It's one of my two go to spots for super late night eating in my neighborhood. I've had a couple times where the food was different than what I had before, but for the most part it's good.
Very good Taiwanese food place that I just happened to run into, glad that I gave it a try and really enjoyed their food! Good service too and definitely will go back to try other dishes.
Environment is good, people are nice, and price is very reasonable. The food? Most dishes taste authentic Chinese, but be aware, some may be exotic to you.
Tasty dishes, i really like their egg fried rice, and really fast service !
We ate the food too fast. The food was pretty good. Monday to Friday, they have lunch special with 1 soup and two dishes for 20 buck. I recommend the place. Seating are pretty spacious and has at least 2 big round table. Only thing that I can complain is only 1 bathroom for the whole restaurant and the light is pretty dimm.
Bad news first: Zero ambiance, the sound and light echoes harshly. In that respect it's more like a cafeteria than a restaurant. The service was not super friendly but got the job done Also, no liquor license; several tables brought their beer in from outside. Good news: the food was delicious. Ordered salt and pepper fish fillet and a plate of string beans. Friends ordered lobster and were quite pleased. Price was right, about $60 for the three of us. Will definitely go again.
Comfort home-style cooking with very reasonable prices! Service is quick and friendly, not super crowded during dining hours during weekdays. You might have to wait a bit during weekends. I don't think they take reservations, but you should try for big parties like more than normal 8 ppl. The seating is spacious so you could definitely bring kids/strollers and move around freely. My favorite dishes there are: shredded beef with pepper, salt and pepper pork cutlet or chop, three cup chicken, and sauteed loofah squash! They also have some really good noodle dishes that I have to had a chance to try yet! Food is not greasy, you could eat here everyday and not feeling too guilty (also won't break the bank!) :)
My go to place when in elmhurst. They have a great lunch special for 7$ comes with soup and a entree with rice. Special only during the week. But even on weekends the prices for this food is amazing. Great portions, great food and great atmosphere. Highly recommend.
It's just open a few weeks. So me and my family went there to try their menu. So far I ordered fly heads, oyster and black beans sauce, and oyster pancake. They were taste good, lil bit burnt but its good. The service good, the thing's just the plate for the kids. I brought my kids (1 and 2 y.o). It's lil bit annoyed me with the styrofoam thin plate. For me, it's better to not give it at all instead to have that styrofoams plate on the table.
A local gem for authentic Taiwanese food in Elmhurst, the oyster pancake is so good and so does the three cup chicken, and I wanna go back to have these two dishes again! The great Taiwanese food not only draws attention from local neighbors but also get people from outside Elmhurst to eat there.
I have a love hate relationship with this place. LOL. Their service most of the time is MEH. Their food most of the time is great, especially for their price. My favourite is Garlic Chicken and Shredded Beef Scallion. Their known for their affordable lobster, I tried once, I didnt like it. Lobster cheap, but small and taste too ordinary. Oh, don't forget their tomato seaweed egg drop soup. Its very basic soup, but tasty !!!!
September 24, 2025: I have been to this restaurant a number of times during lunch. The service and the food were ok. It can get busy as well making difficult for waitresses which only have two, to deliver food to its customers on time. Leaving customers waiting for a long time. Since I have lunch a number of time their service has been great. The ambience is ok, with lots of lighting.
Tasty Food, Busy Atmosphere I visited QTown on Chinese New Year, and it was packed! The food was delicious, and even though I noticed a slight difference in flavor when ordering takeout, it was still great. The service was basic but expected for a busy, no-frills Chinese restaurant. Overall, a solid spot for good Chinese food.
They are excels in making fried rice and fried noodles, both of which are flavorful and expertly cooked. I particularly enjoyed their crispy sweet and sour fish fillets, which were a highlight of the meal. While some dishes could use a bit of improvement, the overall quality of the food was satisfying. The atmosphere is bright and typical of an Asian eatery, though the service, while friendly, seemed stretched thin, leading to some delays. Despite this, it's a great spot for enjoying authentic Taiwanese flavors.
Taiwanese restaurant in the heart of Elmhurst. Huge variety of rice dishes and lunch specials for under $10 (reasonably priced this day and age). They do carry a full à la carte menu but I recommend their small eats, that’s what Taiwanese food is really famous for. Overall a friendly restaurant but no beers even though their menu state so.
Q Town Asian Cuisine seafood restaurant is located at Broadway Elmhurst. It is close to Subway train stop at Elmhurst Ave station right after Jackson Heights Roosevelt stop. Street meter parking available close by, meter parking is free after 7 pm. My good friend recommended me this place and we went together with my whole family. They have big round table for big group. Service is good. We ordered crispy pork, Chicken with basil, spicy beef with scallions, Sauteed Watercress, sauteed ginger Lobster and Crispy Strip Bass sauteed in tofu and sauce. They all tasted very good. I loved spicy beef and Watercress a lot. Rest all of them are very good too. They don't offer beer or other alcohol drinks, you can bring them from outside. They offer free hot green tea that is really good. Lobster is on special price 2 lobster at $32, others range between $16 to 20 per dish. I would highly recommend if you like Sichuan or Taiwanese authentic food.
Portions were a bit small. Some dishes were very salty. We called ahead and got a table of 10, which was given to us on time, but the waitress barely refilled our water/tea. It did seem like they were rather understaffed for a Sunday dinner.
It's not like a restaurant, it's like you are sitting in your grandma's kitchen. They clean vegetables in the middle of the restaurant, the windows are so dirty, they probably weren't cleaned ever. I ordered Chicken, mushrooms casserole. It was absolutely unenjoyable. The dish was full of bone splinter. I wasn't able to take a good bite, I was spitting countless splinters. It was terrible. They also forgot to bring the rice.
I ordered a bowl of noodle soup online and requested to pack noodles in a separate container a several times, but this restaurant never do that. So the noodle is always soggy and soup is not hot at all. Better not order delivery instead eat in here.
I ordered celery and beef over rice. The food is great, not oily like some Chinese restaurants. However, the portion is small. What surprised me is that they didn’t give any forks or napkins for my to go order. How was I supposed to eat? I guess it’s a good place for families, but not for a single person.
My advice to people who wants to dine here. Order only the items that shows the price on the menu. If you like the food and decides to comeback here a few times. When they recognize you as returning customer, then ask them about the specials that they don’t show the prices on the menu Another thing. I was charged for rice which usually comes with a dish when you order it. I mean how do you eat fish with all that sauce without a rice. To make this short, food here is good but business practice is a bit questionable. I probably would go back and give them another chance. Although I found a piece of hair in my dish. Which I will not make a big fuzz about. But they did made a fuzz when I tipped them and it wasn’t as much as they wanted. And they made a scene. Food is good here I might come back again hopefully they treat me better. Not that I care for other people are polite to me or not. I am just there for the food. But still please don’t charge for rice when people orders three cup chicken. I mean come on folks, there’s no need to do that really When I was a child this location used to be a hardware store. I still have the keychains I bought from this location.
The food is good here but the service is atrocious. I’m not sure if they were overwhelmed with the size of our party(24). I can’t imagine what service is like if you’re not Asian, I was the only Non-Asian. We called prior to coming and they confirmed to have enough seating for all of us. However, the servers were very rude, a lot of eye rolling and sighing. At one point, they were passing around the tea amongst one another because no one wanted to refill our cups. When we got our food, my aunt asked one of the servers for a bowl and she snapped back, “What do you need it for, you didn’t even order soup?” You would think after ordering $800 worth of food, they’d be nicer.
In this area, this restaurant had a lot of expectation because it's the first new restaurant in a while. There are a lot of Asian options nearby and this one did not deliver. While the service was fantastic and the prices are affordable, the quality is not very good. The portions are small, the flavors are either bland or oversalted. At least they have an easy BYOB policy.
Been coming here for years until recently the quality has just gone down. The part that made us not want to go back anymore was when we asked for HK iced lemon tea, she came with iced milk tea. (Common mistake, that's fine) but the server insisted that we consume it because "I made it" with an attitude. We spoke in Cantonese with the server to ensure no miscommunication too. It just didn't feel welcoming anymore as it used to.
We ordered the fish ball soup and they put pork meat inside the fish ball , and it wasn’t stated in the menu , how is there pork in a fish ball , we told the waiter we can’t eat pork and they still made us pay for the soup , even though we didn’t eat it after having one bite and finding out it was pork. Very sad experience . **edit : THe waiter said the restaurant does not make fish balls without meat, she never mentioned they have fishballs without meat. She said "one is meatball" "other is fishball with pork meat inside". but in fishball "main ingredient should be fish, like any other fishball that is made.
Staff behavior very bad ..... specially old lady who served the food ...she always ask for money ... everyday second day I visit there she keep asking for money for tips if guest don't pay her tips then she misbehave with customer...which is really mannerless
Worst restaurant and customer service ever!!! Basic request for sauce on the side for one dish, the owner just said go cancel your order in Uber eat and hand off the phone to end up.
We ate here last week, the food was great, the server who serve our table was great. The aunty who served our table was very friendly , explain the dishes very well, and serve us well. Everything was all planned out well. Then after we have finished eating and asked for bill, we leave tips for that aunty who serve our table. But when I went to the counter to pay, I just pay my total bill, and I gave cash tip to the server aunty. Then the cashier "Joane", called me back and even shouted in public that caught other customer's attention, stating that we have to give more money tips even we paid more than it was. It was such a shame, the food was good, other servers were nice but because of this woman "Joane" , we will never come back again. I recommend not to come here if you do not want to face daylight robbery from "Joane". LOL.
It’s cheaper compared to other restaurants, but the ingredients are not too fresh and the cook is below average. Service is bad too. I called them for takeout and the lady is super impatient.
Servers gave us no attention at all… We asked for a water in the beginning and that never arrived even after reminding them… 5 TIMES! The service has deteriorated as the price remained the same while the portions have since decreased. This place is no longer a good spot.
Atmosphere seems pretty calm, the place looks very nice! The staff however was cordial but unattentive, please do not come here, you will waste your time. There are other restaurants in the area with better service.
After we were sat no one came to check on us for 10 minutes, which i understood since it was quite busy then but ok, then after that 10 min it got less packed, still Throughout our meal we had to constantly wave our hands in the air to call for their attention, and when i asked how much longer a lady said "40 dollars" which i was suppressed and i was a little mad since i didn't want to spend 1 hours waiting so i asked "1 hour??!!" After we got our misunderstandings fixed another waiter came to our table and rudely pointed to a child and said i was crying like that child... like it's not my fault you thought i asked the price? And even if i was that's some way to treat your guests and mind you i didn't even cuss i just repeated my question of how many longer till our food gets here and said thank you after, ps we had to wait almost 40 minutes in a not full restaurant, by the end the waiter stopped us and rudely asked for tip as if she didn't say to my face i was crying like a child because our food was 1 hour late and everyone was hungry.
We called delivery for 5 dishes for new year eve, but they only delivered 4 dishes. When we called back, they just said:it’s not me who place your order, if you only received 4, then you just have four…… this is ridiculous!!! They didn’t even apologize, just want to blame others and hurry to hang up the phone. The staff service quality and attitude definitely need to be improved!!!!
If only I can give 0 star I will. First of, the lady who was our server did not gave us enough napkins and just ASSUMED that we won't use a chopstick and gave us spoon and fork so I have to take the chopsticks to the other table. Then, she wasn't helpful all through our meal. To make the story short, when the billing time came we gave 10$ for a tip. She took the receipt and when she saw the tip she gave it back to us and said "They have a minimum and was pointing at it (since she can barely speak English)" We were all stunned and amaze how she got the audacity for what she was doing. At the end of the day we didn't changed our tip and just leave it as is. If she would have been more helpful and friendly we could have given a 20$ tip but then, 10$ is more than enough to give for the people that doesn't deserve it at all. Also, the food is very normal tasting anyway nothing special with it. We decided never to come back and never recommend the place.
We have been to Q Town multiple times as the food is delicious but the service is inconsistent. Some days the servers are very attentive and other days they wouldn't even glance your way. This particular day the servers were not caring about us nor asking us if we needed anything else. Throughout our meal we had to constantly wave our hands in the air to call for their attention; we had to get up and grab napkins. When the bill arrived, we all believed the server didn't deserve the minimum tip because of the inattentiveness, rudeness and discourteous of the servers. As we were leaving the server and food runner ran to us telling us to pay the minimum tip. Everyone has a bad night, I understand but at this point if we are waving at you and serving ourselves that's a bad look!
