This place was absolutely stunning. The customer service was amazing and the manager himself recommended the most delicious desserts to go with the Turkish coffee and it was such a lovely pairing , I would always come back , the best coffee in the Bronx by far. Thank you much for the experience! ❤️
It's a great coffee house I had a great time sitting with a friend in that coffee house but it was nice and quiet the service was good and The delectable cake they have for you to choose from are very good as well I think I had a cafe latte it was wonderful 👍
Super chill coffee ☕️ house and desserts place. Awesome vibe👌🏽 😌 never crowded weekday afternoons around 3-4pm
Bagels are a must-have. Each flavor they have is great. I purchase them every week. Taking a few down to a friend of mine in Philadelphia tomorrow
The baristas here really know their craft—always perfect.
High-quality coffee whoch rare nowadays. They don't have large options of pastry, but the one they have are good, no salty snacks or food, tho, the music is nice, not too loud. You can have a conversation, very clean, staff is very nice
Right in little. So close to me is this amazing locations. When people think of the Bronx, I hope they think of prince coffee... Oh and the cannolis are delicious
One of the best tasting coffees I've ever had the beans they use is high quality and the service is quick Triple AAA+
Our first visit to this café was a delightful surprise. The desserts were the highlight of our experience—beautifully layered and unique. We tried a green and white layered pistachio cake, which had distinct layers, and a banana soufflé cake that was soft, airy, and creamy, with a subtle banana flavor. Each bite was a delightful treat! If you're in the Bronx's Arthur Avenue "Little Italy" and looking for great coffee and desserts, this place is a must-visit.
Amazing coffee shop. Beautiful atmosphere. Friendly workers. Nice and socially distant! They need to work on having the doorway clear a little better but other than that I had a great time there. Excellent customer service. I was checked on frequently but not too much to interrupt my time there which was GREAT! Also great pricing! I felt like it wasn't expensive at all!
I’ve been going to Starbucks when this place has been here all along. Probably one of the best work days I’ve ever had. The ambiance, the team, the music, the space and the food and coffee— ALL top notch! I will never go to the Starbucks on Fordham ever again. I am a newfound loyal here!!
I usually stop by the area to get African food but I’m also a huge coffee lover and finally gave in to my curiosity. I had a mocha with oat milk and the server even offered to add chocolate shavings on top. It was the best mocha I have had in a long time !!!!! I will definitely be back for those cream puffs and the tiramisu!
I’ve been coming to Prince Coffee House for years literally every day—and it truly feels like home. The service is always top-notch, the staff are incredibly welcoming, and the coffee is simply the best. The quality has remained consistent over the years, and the atmosphere makes it the perfect spot to relax, work, or catch up with friends. They also have the best terrace with a beautiful tree—it just feels so good to sit outside and enjoy the moment. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a warm and inviting place with excellent coffee and exceptional service.
Lovely place to get coffee, the staff absolutely respectful and kind!! 🤩🤩
Stopped by Prince Coffee House recently and had a nice experience overall. The service was solid -- staff were friendly and everything came out quickly. We grabbed a slice of cake and a couple of drinks, and everything was enjoyable. Nothing was over-the-top, but it definitely hit the spot. It's a comfortable place to relax, catch up with someone, and enjoy a coffee and dessert without feeling rushed. One thing to keep in mind: street parking can be a little tricky depending on the time of day, so plan ahead and give yourself a few extra minutes. Overall, a pleasant local coffee spot that's worth checking out if you're in the area.
Great place to relax and enjoy a drink! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, perfect whether you want a good coffee during the day or a nice drink in the evening. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the service is quick. The coffee tastes great and the bar has a really nice vibe. Definitely a spot I’d recommend if you’re looking for a chill place to hang out with friends or just unwind. I’ll definitely come back!
Prince Coffe House is a fantastic place to relax and enjoy a great coffee. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it perfect for meeting friends or taking a quiet break during the day. The coffee is excellent, always fresh and full of flavor, and the service is fast and friendly. The staff is very polite and makes you feel comfortable every time you visit. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a cozy spot with great drinks and a great vibe!🤩🤩
☕✨ The coffee is amazing, the staff is super friendly, and the vibe is warm and relaxing. Perfect spot for a date or to just sit back, sip your coffee, and unwind. Great customer service, too. Highly recommend!
I recently visited this bar coffee spot in NYC and it quickly became one of my favorite places in the city. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between cozy and lively—dim lighting, stylish décor, and great music that makes it ideal whether you’re catching up with friends or enjoying a quiet drink alone.😎
This coffeeshop in the Bronx is honestly my favorite place. The coffee is really good – rich, fresh, and full of flavor. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for relaxing or taking a break during the day. The staff is friendly and always welcoming. Definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to!
I sat alone and didn’t have to do much to get service. I got approached shortly after and I appreciated that. The servers were welcoming and attentive. I appreciated their smile and the overall diversified team members/ staff. It’s a small thing but I love to see a diverse team with good customer service. The pastry was great and I appreciated how chill and welcoming the atmosphere was.
I recently visited Prince Coffee House, and it was fantastic! The coffee was rich and perfectly brewed, offering a variety of options for everyone. What really made the experience special was Fatjon's amazing customer service. He was friendly and attentive, recommending drinks and sharing insights about the coffee-making process. I highly recommend Prince Coffee House for great coffee and a welcoming atmosphere!
I give a five star rating to this establishment after looking for the perfect coffee house that fit my persona As the king of kings. I was treated like royalty in This establishment has a black Jew here in New York. I brought a date with me and was treated so lovely by the Albanian staff. If you are looking for a place where you will be treated like royalty, then the Prince Café is surely the place to be.
Hello Everyone. This place is my favorite why? Because of the environment, vibes and Their ( Espresso Banana ). Also the small size Machiatto with a side of Albanian bottled still water is a top notch. If you want to have a coffee at Arthur Av then this is the place to visit with your friends and family.
Upscale looks and feels, great coffee and food, but nearly all items are under $5!!!, which makes it the best cafe in Little Italy, and probably the best one I have ever been too. They also have ample indoor and outdoor seating. Really good espresso, tons of sweet pastries (all under $5), (hardly any savory ones though), ice cream/gelato ($2 a scoop), tea (10 kinds), shakes ($5.50). Cookies are 75 cents and biscotti is just 70. Taxes are included in all the prices.
The tea and the coffee were exceptional. However, I wish the service were better but I am assuming they were busy. I love the vibe there.
Upon arriving, we were greeted by a server. She was extremely friendly, nice and attentive. The menus were on wooden boards, which I thought were restrooms keys (sorry!). Very cute though. Unfortunately, the coffee shop had milk based drinks that my body could not digest. However, having just a single espresso after many months of not having one really hit the spot. The music was fantastic and modern. It was a beautiful day with other patrons gallavanting about their days. The restrooms were clean. Ovedall, a good job.
I frequent here often. I love the quality coffee, significant seating and multicultural vibes. They remodeled last year and offer more space for different functions. Often I enjoy sitting outdoors, however I also enjoy going inside or down stairs for a quiet solo study or work session. My favorite things to order include a machiato, ginger tea or smoothie. This is the closest to an Astoria Cafe you will find in the Bronx and it is a great find.
Please consider this recommendation to better your business. The music is soo loud in early morning and the genre is techno style so it truly gives you a headache At least play some soft music before 12. People come there to relax and not dance or have a headache.
Came for iced coffees in the middle of the day. Loved their menu which was printed on slats of wood. Husband got an iced mint mocha, which sort of just looked like a mocha with green syrup/food coloring on the whipped cream, but he had no complaints! I got the "America" which was on the coffee section, even though there was a similarly described smoothie in the smoothie section. I'm not sure the difference, but I was able to substitute the milk with almond milk, I think. Wasn't too exciting, but definitely quenched the thirsty on the hot day. Friend got the Caramel Frapucino. She didn't have any complaints either. The atmosphere and the outdoor set up definitely reminded me of being in Paris, like the many cafes with the red awning. Unfortunately, we weren't the only ones who felt like that because we had to move because someone was smoking and then another table was smoking on the other side (further). Kind of weird. Haven't experienced people smoking on restaurant property in a while in America. Was surprised that they insisted if we were going to be at a table that they didn't want us ordering at the counter and to wait for wait staff, but then they put our drinks in disposable cups. Plus side, when we were ready to go and I was still drinking, it was all ready to go!
Have always wanted to try this establishment but when I pass by I’m always very aware that I never see minorities enjoying the place. Today I decided to give it a go and see in the reviews that my suspicions about the service is indeed correct and if there not Albanian you aren’t welcomed. Do the owners read the reviews? How do you put prejudices before profit? Lol you’re gonna let racism stop making you money?
The food is good, their coffee is amazing. I’ve live in the area so I’ve been there many times. Today I went with two friends who were visiting and the service was horrible. The waiter didn’t write the order down, got everything wrong and when we complained he got mad, brought another set of cappuccinos (still wrong) and complained to us outloud that he will have to pay for the other ones. We ended up drinking whatever he had brought and paying whatever he charged because we felt like an inconvenience and didn’t want to cause him any troubles. Now reading other reviews I guess they have a problem with POC.
This is a popular coffee spot and always busy. Decor is modern and crisp. Coffee is decent and staff is friendly but it’s a little chaotic and hard to get a seat. Yes I would go back but I would like to see where the line is.
3 stars for allowing smoking right outside of their doors on their patio/outdoor seating. Service and pastry were good, ice cap I ordered was fine. I'd go back, but recommend if you don't like smoking or the smell, sit downstairs as their upper level indoor seating and patio seating virtually have no barrier to block the smell.
Love prince so much - great servers and perfect for a breakfast date or study sesh but goddamn i ordered a sandwich today and it has to be the worst sandwich I've ever had in my entire life. Advertised as a sandwich with prosciutto, pickles, French sauce, cheese, lettuce and mayo, it's already weird but like manageable. Instead they gave me some meat that doesn’t look like prosciutto, cheese lettuce, pickle, tomato and KETCHUP???? Why anyone in their right mind would put ketchup on a cold sandwich is beyond me and I hope I never see let alone taste it again.
Outside seating expect smokers. Even the a worker smoking standing in the main doorway. 2 of three drinks ordered were enjoyed. Would not recommend the chocolate shakes unless you are looking for an iced hot chocolate it was thin as water. Maybe it’s a calorie thing I don’t believe any ice cream was in the shake.
Very awkward experience with staff, but good coffee. When I came in, nobody was in line, so I went right to register. Guy "working" there stands next to me, looks me up and down while smiling, and not saying anything. Woman then comes from around the register to stand right in front of me, saying nothing. Awkwardly, I'm like "hello, can I just order a coffee?" Woman then types into tablet for like two minutes, while dude is still there, smiling at me (both inches away from me). Im guessing since I wasn't dressed all fancy, I mightve looked out of place (hoodie, sock hat, jeans). I was clean though, just not all fancy. When I asked for extra cream and sugar, the woman says " you can put your own sugar in". She didn't SAY it rudely, but it sounded rude. I said "okay", then she goes "black then?". I was so confused, but thankfully smiley guy says "extra cream", then turns to me and smiles while still looking me up and down. 🤣 I couldn't wait to get out of there, it was so strange how they treated me. The coffee was really good though! I'm guessing smiley is from somewhere in Europe where people actually stand close to one another and smile at strangers, I'm just not used to that I suppose.
We visited Prince Coffee House since we saw that it was so crowd & seems so popular in the neighborhood during brunch time. However, the experience wasn't really pleasant due to the reluctant service. The staff kept messing up our order and missing our request. We asked to warm up our pastries, but it was served cold and request to-go cups for latte but it was prepared in mugs. We had their Croissant and Tres Leches Cake with 2 hot lattes. The food was decent especially the Tres Leches Cake which was creamy & moist and the drink was refreshing.
The atmosphere was not great at all! Guests would always smoke in front of the open doors, leaving the indoor areas constantly lingering the smell of smoke. The indoors could have been a great place to have coffee and study/read, but the smoke was so much a bother that I only stayed for 10 minutes. The drinks were okay, but I only had a frap and a Turkish coffee, so cannot speak much to the overall quality.
This place is very inconsistent. All their special drinks are not crafted properly and or just bad. inconsistency is what they seem to thrive for. dessert is typically dry or taste store brought. Better off going to another cafe or getting something easy to make like black coffee so they don’t mess up, however now you’re overpaying for a simple coffee. But hey, nice and spacious interior 🤷♀️
We first came in there and there was a lot of white people, which makes sense, so if ur not white don’t go. Got a lot of stares. Waiter was like, idk she was ignoring my table. Wait time was good, took a bit longer then expected but only by a couple minutes. The waiter was very silent, she didn’t talk or answer my questions normally. But for others I saw she was she was even smiling and making conversation with them. The other customers where also white and Italian so I can see why maybe she preferred them. The drinks where not amazing but not terrible. The coffee was good and so nice looking. But the milkshake was very eugh, with way too much milk. Like I get it’s a milk shake but the milk was too much in my opinion. It tasted good though so I’m not going to lie. I would honestly go back for another shake if only I didn’t feel like an alien in there. Then to pay was a hassle, they took a long time to ask for the money, and when I went to the front to pay because I had to go, they told me to sit back down and wait for them. So I did but they never came so I had to call them 3 times and finally I got to pay. So yea, weird environment good drinks, and chill place. Would not go back tho but was a good experience.
I've passed by this place did many times in my way to and from work and about a million other places. My curiosity got the best of me today, and I decided to try it out. I stopped by on a Friday afternoon (probably not the best idea) and the place was a bit crowded, but not overly so. I only sampled the signature espresso, but it was very good. Next time, I'll try one of the other yummy looking drinks and maybe a pastry. If you're driving, there is metered parking outside and free parking if you park on a residential block. I can't wait until it's warm enough to sit outside. 2 starts for terrible service. Terrible. Even on a day where the place is empty. Kind of shameful. I've also never seen a waiter smoking in front of the store while on duty. The coffee is good, but this place gives off weird vibes
Went in for an early Sunday afternoon snack with my boyfriend. He ordered the Turkish coffee which was served in a paper cup (pictured). We were extremely disappointed since we went for the experience of the traditional coffee and the unique way its served. I ordered a smoothie which was just okay, tasted like it was made with pre-packaged frozen fruits. The kasata dessert was quite good. Now, the service. Our server was nice but the coffee house was about 75% full with two or three servers.. However, our server took quite some time to get to us to take our order, bring us our drinks/dessert. And worst of all, when we tried to pay with a debit card, she claimed she couldn't "touch it". But yet she could touch the cash we payed with instead.. Still doesn't make any sense to me since cash travels around many people's hands whereas a personal debit card is handled by just one person. I'd hate to say that we were racially profiled but it is definitely what this experience felt like.
The place is very nice and welcoming. The coffee on the other hand, wasn’t great. Firstly, I like to add my sugar as the espresso is made, so it all incorporates; espresso, sugar and milk at the end. A lot of places do NOT add the sugar themselves and tell you to add it after it’s already made…it just does not taste the same when it’s added at the end, I have been drinking espresso long enough to know. This place says to add it after but after asking the gentleman behind the counter to please add it as the espresso is made; he kindly obliged. The coffee was okay, tasted watered down a bit and unfortunately tastes like the cup. The drink literally tasted like the cardboard cup it came in. I only had coffee and prob won’t be back for more. The pastries looked fresh and yummy but I didn’t have any.
Banana espresso is delicious but the service sucks. My sister lives in the area so we stop by a lot and anytime we want to sit and enjoy a dessert or coffee we are always completely ignored. If you’re not Albanian they do not care about your business. Extremely rude.
This location is known for obstructing civilian pathways. This location is also a representation of the racism that goes on in New York outside structures for eating areas was banned. How are y’all allowed to continuously do this? Also, the coffee is horrible overpriced for no reason.
Poor service, after being ignored multiple times over our 35 minute wait on a very slow night we chose to leave after never getting our order
The fact that there was a table available the waitress mentioned there wasn’t and had to wait on the sugar station for 10-15min so I decided order to go but still the service was horrible. In a way I felt racism since there was only white people or they kind of peoples Italians and me Spanish including my sister with my nephew also my daughter we just didn’t felt welcomed and wanted us out of their coffee shop. My coffee was sitting in the cashier counter for good 5min and waitress dancing goofing around once a man employee saw me remember that I was still there so he was the one who gave my coffee but haven’t done my sister’s yet. So yes horrible experience in this location.
Been, waiting for a while took a picture of waiter. I was told by him that I couldn’t take pictures and that I’d be sued for doing so. You could just say we will be with you in a while. It was absolutely not busy there were about 5 waiters at the counter. My mother asked beforehand if we should order at the counter or have a seat. We were instructed to have a seat and wait. A party of three came and were already asked for their order. At this rate I feel that there is a chance that they have preferred customers but also I’m Hispanic. This is the second time that this has happened thought it was just me but. So sad.
I initially loved the ambiance and the long hours, which made it a great place to study. However, after visiting several times, I started noticing that other customers were being served before me. One evening, I decided to visit again knowing I would likely be ignored but I had to study —and unfortunately, I was. When I finally went to the counter, I saw one waiter whisper something to another before walking away. At that point, I just took my coffee to go and left, never returning. This happened years ago, and while some of the waiters were great, it was clear that a few favored certain customers over others. I hesitated to write this review because I don’t like leaving negative feedback, but my cousin encouraged me to speak up—because no one should have to experience feeling unwelcome like that. It was pre-pandemic but hope they have changed.
I Had a strange experience in this establishment recently. At first i wondered if it was just me but once i had checked the reviews i quickly saw that it wasn't just me. For context I am Hispanic, and this cafe seemed to be populated by a different race im sure you can tell which one just by going here or looking at the reviews. I felt like i was treated different and looking back at the reviews im sure it was not just me. They definitely have a preference.
It was the most disgusting latte I have ever tried in my whole life. The coffee beans were probably full dark roast and far from a good quality. It's smelled burned, while on the pallet it tested like coffee flavored dish water with some skim milk in it. Absolutely non-drinkable. My husband's red eye coffee was absolutely atrocious.
I was very disappointed with the service. Despite it not being a busy day, we had to wait 25 minutes for just two French toasts. The tea was cold, and even after I asked three times for it to be warmed up, I was told, “This is what we have.” I then asked if they could at least microwave the water, but they said they didn’t have one. To make matters worse, the French toast was brought out without any utensils. The napkin and cutlery were only provided after the food had already been served. Truly unacceptable service. I live nearby and had hoped this would be a reliable spot for weekend breakfasts, especially given the 4.5 rating. Unfortunately, I was wrong. This place is not worth the visit. I won’t be coming back and would not recommend it to anyone.
Poor service. Server seemed inexperienced and not suited for this vocation. People wonder why restaurants are not doing well. Food is not good and the staff are uninterested in the patrons. Socializing with one another.
I stopped by Prince Coffee House and unfortunately my experience was not welcoming. I work long shifts, so on my days off I like to be comfortable. I came in wearing sweatpants, a sweatshirt, and my natural curly hair. When I entered, no one greeted me. I was looked at several times but no one approached me to ask if I needed help or if I wanted a table. I sat there for a few minutes feeling increasingly uncomfortable. As I decided to leave, no one checked in or asked if I was okay or needed assistance. The experience made me feel like the way I looked that day meant I didn’t belong there. Feeling watched but not welcomed is not a good feeling for any customer. I ended up going across the street to Noya Café, dressed the exact same way, and was greeted immediately with kindness, smiles, and professionalism. I’m sharing this because every customer deserves to feel acknowledged and welcomed when they walk into a business.
I was hoping for a cozy spot to cowork with a friend, but unfortunately, this wasn’t it. If you don’t like the smell of cigarettes, this place is not for you — the smoke lingers and makes it hard to enjoy the atmosphere. The kitchen was closed, so no crepes were available, which was disappointing. I tried the crystal shake, and honestly, it tasted awful. To make matters worse, our waitress never came by to check on us. Overall, it was an uncomfortable experience when I was really looking for a nice place to work and relax with a friend
