Great restaurant! Attended a big family celebration there and had a great time. Great service from beginning to end. Black Angus steak was huge and really good.

We had a private party at Fogerty's for my daughter. We had originally booked another place but found out at the last minute that the restaurant was closed due to Sandy's storm damage. Mr. Fogerty was what sold us on the place. He's a lovely and accommodating man. Originally he could only accommodate us in the main dining room but to our delight, when we showed up at the restaurant, he had managed to switch us to a private room. The service and food was excellent and we are very grateful to the staff at JC Fogerty's

Found this place by accident heading to another restaurant. We were walking and checked out the menu and figured we would give it a try. We were welcomed warmly and took a table inside. It was a little warm so we asked about that and they immediately turned the AC down and it was pleasant. We were a party of 5 and the menu had something for everyone. They had a Pub menu and Dinner menu with enough selections to satisfy any pallette. We had the wings, potatoe skins, and shrimp cocktail. They didn't last. Everything was so tasty. Not your usual chain restaurant mediocre flavors. These were good! We had varied entrees and I can vouch for mine. It was the JC Fogarty"s Curry Beef. Outstanding flavor and the beef was cooked to perfection. Tender and juicy. The service was timely and our server was so friendly. The owner even came around twice to see how everything was. He truly cared about his patrons and it showed. You would be remiss if you miss this Gem when you are in the area. We will be back. go raibh maith agat!

Came here while visiting the NYC area. Very good food, friendly service, good price. It was nice to go out to a dinner for two and have a quality experience for less than $100.00 (including drinks!) My wife loved the Spinach Salad with Salmon, and I was pleased by a tasty Shepherd's Pie. The restaurant also was very nicely put together with beautiful darkwood trim and moulding and backlit stained glass, but not dim or oppressive. One of the prettier places I've been in the NYC area. Our son just started college here, so we'll be back periodically over the next four years. I'll get a Guiness next time...

A great restaurant/bar/venue to have any party conceivable. Very close to Metro-North Harlem Line making easy accessibility. Family-owned and even family staffed; loyal regular customers are treated above and beyond service. Service in general is handled very well. Proportions are well sized for the price. This place is amazing. Very nice staff and the bartender was very nice and always checked up on us making sure we were ok and we did not have to wait for a the next drink. The bartender also recommended a shot to us that tasted very good and it was smooth. We will definitely be coming here again.

I had a terrific experience planning a graduation party at Fogerty’s from start to finish…John the owner, and Adam the manager and Anne-Marie were extremely accommodating with anything I wanted to do for my event and helping me and my gf set it up…I met w them a few times to make sure details and planning were seamless and they were always there with good recommendations and great suggestions..,the party went perfectly and the food was delicious (especially the appetizers incl Calamari, chicken skewers, Sirloin steak, shrimp and more…sthey allowed us to bring some food items we wanted to incorporate and even heated them up no charge…service was fast and efficient and friendly….I highly recommend having your next function at one of their varied sized rooms….the front room was perfect for our group of ~25 with plenty of great light…thanks guys for a wonderful event!!! After attending a wake for a dear friend we dined in the side room, not our first time here. The service was great as were our entrees and their presentation. The warm and comfortable atmosphere enhanced the experience.

We ate in the bar. Great atmosphere. We were with old friends, and service was attentive, but the waiter gave us our space and time to talk. Great bloody Mary. Food was delicious. We had crab cakes, a BLT, and spicy shrimp wrap. All were fresh and tasty.

Went to fogertys for a party in the private room. It's a great space. You don't have to walk through the entire bar/ restaurant to get in. The staff came around quickly with drink orders from the bar. Excellent buffet salmon, beef, chicken, veg. The owner came in to personally make sure the hosts were satisfied. Easy parking too.

The place is HUGE and the rooftop is awesome! Excellent Buffalo wings with a gravy boat full of Bleu Cheese Dressing! Burger was average. Server was 👍🏻👍🏻!!

Had my wedding after party weekend festivities here and it was absolutely amazing. The staff made sure everything went perfect and I couldn't thank them enough. Our family had a party in Fogertys upstairs room. The space is beautiful with an outside patio & it's own bar. Our bartenders Stephen & Vanessa were friendly & took care which each of the guests. The buffet food was delicious and there was plenty of food. It's a really nice atmosphere & every employee does such a nice job!

They hosted a large family event for us and everything was wonderful. The room & setup were spacious and attractive, the food & drinks were delicious and plenty varied, and the service was friendly and attentive (never had to wave someone down despite the large group size). The circumstances of the get-together were sad, but the event here was a pleasant comfort to my family.

Terrific food and service. Two friends in my party had the sauerbraten and stated that it was delicious. They are German so I think that’s a big compliment. Our server was very efficient and so personable. Overall we had a terrific dining experience.

Excellent all American food. Friendly efficient service. Wide menu selections. Great selection of fun cocktails. Priced for the working man and family. Down home atmosphere. Makes you feel like having a family gathering for a holiday dinner every day of the week. When I miss family and friends gone now, I go to Fogarty's. I'm taken back home to better days. Have had all my family parties, christenings and graduation there since they opened. Easter and mother's Day are a given for us at Fogarty's. Wouldn't spend my hard earned over taxed money anywhere but here.

The owners (John and son Sean) are amazing. And very accommodating. We've had 6 events there. Each with between 50-100 people. Consistent in quality, flexibility, price, and service. I HIGHLY recommend them!

Nice Irish restaurant, good Guinness, bad soda bread. I had the trout, odd choice for an Irish pub but anytime trout is on the menu I get it, with mashed potatoes but think it was your choice which side you get. trout was good. Waiter was fabulous, didn't rush us. Parking was easy but you have to pay $1 an hour. Not obvious that it's paid parking.

We had a large group family Thanksgiving dinner here in their side, private room and it was a wonderful place to gather!

Great Irish pub/restaurant in Bronxville. This is a family owned and operated establishment. The Fogartys are great people who care about the community. Parking is always easy and is directly across the street. The bar area is beautiful with a few booths and great woodwork. There are a few dining areas with rooms that can accommodate any size party. The upstairs bar are and rooftop are amazing and provide a great experience. The staff is always friendly and professional and the food is fantastic from the appetizers to the entrees. Mr. Fogarty is always there greeting the customers and making sure everything runs smooth. The bar hosts multiple community events during the year and they are always willing to give back ! If you are looking to have a drink or a romantic night out make it Fogartys.

If I could give 10 stars I would. Free parking across the street, a working gas fireplace when you walk in the door, very pristine and spacious and not stuffy. Fish & chips were probably the best I ever had and the waiter was super attentive. Real Irish music playing in the background as well.

I had my baby shower here. The food was very good and the service was great. I was very happy overall. They gave us ample time to set up and break down. I wish there was a switch or an easy way to turn music on or off for speeches/games but if that's the biggest problem, there is none.

I was there for a memorial gathering with my friends, who rented part of the restaurant. The staff was friendly and professional (minus a few eye rolls and head shaking from one of the waitresses, which I caught because I like to observe people at their job... but the others made up for her little slip) The food was very good, the owner stopped by to introduce himself and he was kind and helpful. The restaurant is close to an ample parking area and it's located in a very pretty area (so, after you have a nice meal, you can work off those calories by stepping outside for a walk)

We went for my mothers birthday. All I can say is everything was PHENOMENAL! Our server was Mary who couldn't of been better for us from personality to service. She was like having another family member at the table. Luckily, our group ordered a variety of food so we were able to see alot of the items. I had the Lamb Stew which was tender and and packed with flavor. The wings were some of the best I've ever had, the quality of the chicken stood out. Lamb Chops were great, if you go when the have Prime Rib I recommend that too. Eat here, drink here, go here. I want to thank them for making it a memorable experience for my Mom.

I came in here for lunch after about five years since my last visit. (I moved out of town for a bit). I sat at the bar and was reminded why I used to come here all the time. The bartender, Jimmy, was friendly and helpful with recommending a sandwich. I had a dietary requirements for my meal and that was not an issue at all. I got the chicken club (sans bacon) and it was delicious. The chicken was really tender. I'm used to chicken on a sandwich being dry, so you can tell the chicken was cooked to order. The french fries were amazing. Usually I only eat a few, but I cleaned my plate. I will definitely keep coming back to Fogarty's, especially at lunch time with the fantastic staff there.

Went there to see a drummer friend of mine play with a band. Got there early and had a filet mignon dinner that was delicious. Nice Irish bar atmosphere.

This is a nice restaurant my family always reserves it for parties. My 8 year old cousin said "The fries taste like heaven, burger tastes like burger". Also my friend Doug tried to kiss me here. That was wackadoo. They also have a decent beer selection.

Having worked here nearly over 10 years ago it’s nice to see that its still open. Having said that food does not disappoint kitchen is well maintained staff was friendly. Definitely worth the drive to small town of enjoy a movie. Pub atmosphere and also dining area to enjoy good food.

Out of curiosity, can someone tell me, does this bar have right-wing vibes? The flags make me think so. Food was good, atmosphere fine otherwise, but I really can’t do right-wing and I just want to know. Food is very good. Bartenders are awesome especially Stacey . Love this place. I come from Hawthorne a few times a month.. I will miss Stacey but this place is now my favorite and I will always come here..Eileen is incredible...She is sweet and kind and an amazing person 11/12 updated

Chicken soup and the scrod fish were salty. The potatoes were stale, the vegetables had a bit of freezer taste. The coffee was disappointing, but the apple pie was delicious.

My girlfriend out of the bloom decided to go out after work; JC Fogarty accommodated us without reservation. We had a great time only problem was it took a while for our meal. Our meal was great when it finally came. We loved our drinks.

JC F has been around for 20 years. It's a well known restaurant in Bronxville New York. It's a nice place to visit for a good meal. The bar is pretty spacious as well. I was there for a funeral luncheon and the food was terrific. I had a nice salad that was dressed with their house dressing, a nice vinaigrette. For my dinner, I had Chicken Francese with roasted potatoes and mixed vegetables. Dessert was topped off with a great cup of coffee and Apple pie with Vanilla Ice cream, something I highly recommend. Another great asset was the staff. I found them to be helpful and congenial. What can I say? A peaceful family gathering was well hosted by this wonderful restaurant. It's nice to see people that smile. Try it out sometime.

We went for Mother’s Day dinner. Luckily, parking wasn’t hard at dinnertime on a Sunday (I was surprised, normally the lot is terrible in Bronxville) Dinner was good and most importantly, my mom was happy lol. Pictured: Fried stuffed mushroom app, sole & crabmeat entree and apple pie.

Like it. Nice bar food. A bit expensive but is Bronxville after all. For me, I can have better drinks for less at Katey's. 3 stars because every time we go they run out of toilet paper in the ladies bathroom, there's always 1 non working toilet, and you need to worry about going out to feed the meter.

Only stopped by for a quick Guinness late on a Friday night. Small crowd. Typical Irish pub. Will be back to experience the atmosphere at a more reasonable time.

Beautiful restaurant. But there were some very annoying flies. So annoying we pointed it out to the staff. Btw..we were eating inside. I'm a retiree and my boss whom I adore treated me to lunch, so not sure how much she spent. We are both essential workers. She still is I'm retired now.

Decent food, NY club was good, but fries were extremely greasey. Could not eat them. A bit pricey for the size of the sandwich. Overall decent experience.

We went for a private party. The food wasn't too great, the room was tiny and with 30 people it got very loud. The staff were great and kept everyone's drink full.

Food was mediocre. Very loud and people there were acting like animals. They were out of almost every dessert. Server had zero personality and looked annoyed when being asked questions about menu items. Would not recommend this restaurant.

A nice bar, but definitely a group place. I asked the bartender if I could sit at the barside and order wings, he instructed me to sit at the booth to do so. The people (on this night at least) were not very sociable to unknown parties, but such is life.

The atmosphere is nice, the food was alright nothing to bragg about. My School had there end term / retirement party yes it was a Tuesday but someone called the police in the DJ to turn the music done. Really at a establishment. Not nice at all!!

I was very disappointed, have been a customer there for years and I must say this was a very bad experience, took forever for the waitress to actually acknowledge we were there. Asked for water 3times finally had to get it ourselves, and the food was not up to par!!

We were here for a funeral repast. You would think that this would be a home run for them being that they are mere feet from the restaurant. The first meal was for the family between wakes. One of the family members was given the wrong meal. He waited until the entire family was done eating before the meal that was put in incorrectly was fixed. My dad ordered coffee and it took 45 minutes to get it. The second day after the burial we had a buffet. This food was bland and lacked seasoning. The kid burgers that were cooked to order came out medium rare when ordered medium well. During that whole time that second day there was 1 person at the bar and one table in the dining room. Clear indication that the only business they have is because of that funeral home....

My order was delivered by GrubHub. The hamburger was supposed to be medium rare at arrived well done the delivery person was supposed to hand it to me when arrived but left the food on a wet stoop and did not notify me that it was here I was extremely disappointed and will never order from fogarty's again

Waitresses seemed like you were bothering them. Was at an event with a buffet. We were told that we could not make a to-go plate with the extra food, that we had already paid for ANDit was already out & cooked. So, are they going to reuse it? Or just throw out perfectly good food?

Food was well prepared. Extremely long time to get our order taken, long time to get the food brought to our table, long time to get the check, long time to get our credit cards back with the receipt. People who came in after us were serviced immediately.

Came here for a quick bite and a cocktail. Food was horrible....literally Horrible. Fries were overcooked, hard, greasy and unedible. Wings were too salty and not prepared well. "Chick parm" sliders were SO dry...no parm at all. Service was sub par at best. Took forever to get even a water. Very disappointing and a waste of 100 bucks for 2 apps and a couple of drinks. Do not recommend eating here. Don't waste your money! And frankly I would never return. Thumbs DOWN 👎🏻 👎🏻

Service was horrible. Staff and management completely unprofessional. Food wasn’t fresh and tasted unpleasant.The owner Sean and John we’re very combative and didn’t provide an adequate resolution to address their employees. Staff was rude, arrogant and didn’t take proper food orders. Don’t waste your time or money going there. All that glitters isn’t gold. Although the place looks decent, the overall staff and service was very poor.

My brother had his 60th birthday party there last night and it was a terrible experience. Waitress should retire as she clearly doesn’t like her job. Food was better at a nursing home. All guests shared the same opinions. My dish didn’t have the portabello mushrooms and was returned to me with regular raw mushrooms just cut up and put on top of my dish. On top of that it was made in a red sauce which was horrible. Sad to think my brother and his wife put this special occasion together only to have this happen.

My family and I were there this past weekend for a baby shower and we had a horrible experience. The food was over cooked and not fresh and the staff was rude and provided the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. We had nothing to drink pretty much the entire party. When we asked the staff for anything we were completely ignored. My in-laws requested a to go bag and the waitress yelled at them and then threw the to go bag at them. Overall the staff was very unprofessional. Don’t waste your time and money here there are plenty of better restaurants in the area.

One of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. After nearly two hours, we left without ever seeing our meals, and rather than even trying to apologize, they made some excuse about being busy. The dining room had empty tables. If whatever private party they were hosting made them too busy to serve their main dining room, perhaps sharing that info with patrons would be nice? We will never go back here again.

Went there for a family party and to be honest the service was bad very unorganized the food wasn't that good .My son got a cheese burger,the burger was dry and the cheese wasn't melted . Don't think I'd go back again

Two words...Never Again. A friend and I went to Fogarty''s (the bar area) for a bite to eat after a movie. I ordered a club sandwich. I took a bite and as I was chewing, something felt hard - I thought it might be the bacon but luckily I didn't swallow it. I spit it out. It was a piece of a broken toothpick- with a sharp end. The toothpick that I pulled out of the sandwich was whole as were the other toothpicks that were still in the other sandwich sections. I notified the waiter who took it back. I ordered something I could see clearly - mozzarella and tomato salad. When the check came, they charged for the substitute order - should have been on the house. If I had swallowed the pointed toothpick, I could have done some serious damage. The food at Fogarty's was never more than mediocre - it's still mediocre but the service has gone downhill and after this experience, you have to question who is working in the kitchen.

This place is gross! I have no clue where the other reviewers went but this place was HORRIBLE! We went to a shower here the service was terrible the worst. The waitress was rude and pissed off. They bought out the children's food while parents starved. The soda was flat and full of ice poured in a beer glass lol. Potato leek soup peas, carrots and chicken looked like throw up. Then I ordered sliced steak yeah no it was roast beef another barf athon. Coffee was disgusting too. All this to say I dont know how this place gets a 4.4 review rate. NEVER AGAIN!!!

My husband I went for Thanksgiving dinner. We made reservations for 5.30. My husband just had open heart surgery and we simply wanted to have a quiet Thanksgiving. We were shocked at the behavior of this Spanish waiter, we come here from time to time and the owner is a pleasant man that stopped at our table and asked how we were and I didn’t want to complain to him right then because it was Thanksgiving. Waiter was simply rude and nasty. To the point that we wanted to walk out of there. He literally pulled the menu off my hands and didn’t even make eye contact. He was so angry because I asked for tea. It looked like he just didn’t want to work. Why did they take reservations if they didn’t want to serve. Still upset about the way we were treated. This restaurant ruined our Thanksgiving. We were completely disappointed. This is our neighborhood we live a few blocks from the restaurant and for the past 22 years we have been coming here regularly. This is no way to treat a customer. We still tipped the waiter and walked out of there sad and disgusted that they would allow a person like that work at this place. Don’t know what happed to this place. We were regulars but we won’t be anymore.

I’ve been to this bar twice, and both visits were noticeably unwelcoming. During my first visit, my friend and I stopped in after a long day at work. I accidentally spilled a very small amount of my drink on the bar and immediately reached to clean it up. A female staff member, who resembled a man, responded by scoffing and saying, “That was smart,” in a sarcastic tone. My friend and I chose not to engage, but the comment felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive. On my second visit, also after work, the bartender made an irritated face every time I asked for water, as if the request was unreasonable. The overall attitude again felt unprofessional and uninviting. Both times I was with people who are not from the neighborhood and who don’t resemble the majority of the bar’s usual crowd. I’m not sure if that contributed to the treatment we received, but the vibe from the staff was consistently negative. Despite this, I tipped over 20% each time. I’m genuinely unsure why this type of attitude is considered acceptable, but I felt it was worth sharing my experience. If anyone else has visited and felt similarly, you’re not alone.

Overcooked shoe leather. My hubby and I went for an early dinner with another couple. Only one other table in the dining room since it was early. Party in the other room. Scallop app was not seared but overcooked somehow, and cheese sauce with pretzels was grainy. Everyone’s main course, three steaks (medium, medium-rare and rare) and the duck, were all overcooked. My hubby sent his rare steak back, and the new one was the proper temp, but very tough. I’ve had better quality steak at Texas Roadhouse for half the price. The duck was absolutely hammered, stringy and dry, practically inedible. The service was also poor. No drink refills until we flagged someone down to ask. Very disappointing experience.
