their donuts are good, coffee does the trick. the waitress who works late weeknights is amazing, not too pushy and not too standoffish, every time I go her frequency of service is just right.
We come here almost every single week. The food is very good and very fairly priced. It is a family business run by the owners. It’s always very clean and very organized. They also make all of their own donuts and pastries in house which are a very good. My favorite is the flan which is real flan our servers Lupe, Tina, and luisa always take great care of us and always remember our order. We recommend this place to every single person who comes to this neighborhood. It is cash only so be prepared, but they do have an ATM.
Best crullers!! Hands down!! If you haven't tried them, go now!! They're open all night!
Food is great every time! A solid 9/10 for sure!
This diner has been around for a very long time, they have great food and you must get some of their donuts.
Went with a group, great atmosphere, a lot of good food and delicious donuts of course! Highly recommend the fresh toast (was recommended to us) also recommend the Cesar salad, one of the best I’ve ever had! Wings were okay, curly fries weren’t really seasoned but nice that they have the option for them.
Went after working at the hospital very cute and clean. Received such great service from a waitress (I didn’t get her name but she had a few tattoos) who was kind, quick and was helpful when choosing off the menu. While I was eating the owner (I presume) walked past my table and gave me a 10/10 complimentary doughnut for “being a good customer”. Great place! Great sausage and bacon!
Elite diner experience. Service is impeccable, food comes out quickly, and your coffee is constantly refilled when youre not looking. There are few better things than a solo breakfast at the counter here. Many a hangover have met their demise at the hand of 7th Ave Donuts and Diner. The menu is varied but not overextended, for both breakfast and lunch. Food is of the highest quality.
It is a devious place to grab food! The food is good, quick and simple. The only thing is that the servers are a little fast and sometimes forget what you ordered. Other than that, great place!!
Admittedly, this is not Rao's or a high-end restaurant. However the food was excellent. It is like a "guilty pleasure" type joint, as you can't eat this stuff every day because of the calories. This place takes you back to the days when you could go into a diner and sit at a booth. Sadly, those days are slowly ending, and all we have these days for the most part are healthy restaurants with tiny portions and yuppies with attitudes as customers. It is great to see a place like this still exist in Park Slope, like a blast from the past. I ordered rice and beans which were massive and excellent. Grilled cheese and fries also good. The donuts and milkshakes are also pretty damn good, and the salads are fresh. They are also very friendly. Great bang for your buck compared to other Park Slope restaurants. They are also open seemingly 365 days a year. If you place a big enough order, you can usually convince them to deliver outside their normal range, so they are flexible about that kind of thing. And I believe they are open 24 hours a day so you could actually order from them at 4AM.
Great food and great service! Rock solid diner. Neighborhood staple. Thank you 7th ave donuts. The free donuts in my delivery were clutch 💖
I've been on a donut quest in NYC, and 7th Ave Donuts & Diner has the best donuts I've had so far! Their donuts are fresh, fluffy, and perfectly glazed. I especially love their Boston cream. The staff is also very friendly and kind. They make you feel welcome and are always happy to answer any questions you have. Overall, I highly recommend 7th Ave Donuts & Diner. It's a great place to grab a delicious donut and enjoy a friendly atmosphere. Additional tips: * 7th Ave Donuts & Diner is primarily cash only, so be sure to have some cash on hand. Otherwise, they have an ATM you could use. * They do have a way to pay on their website, but it didn't work for me.
I'd like to thank this place for always being open when I need them! I'm often stumbling in late at night on weekends, very hungry and with little food at home. I love the vibe in there when you enter at 2:00. Also the cheeseburger with curly fries is awesome. Thanks for being open and helping me out on all those nights 7th Ave Donuts & Diner!
Absolutely awesome. Great service.... loved the Boston / New York Banter. Had a great breakfast and took some phenomenal doughnuts to go.
every moment of my experience here was filled with delicious pleasure, much like the delicious pleasure they fill each and every one of their perfect donuts with. on a sadder note, if you're full of desire to break up with your partner, you won't find solace here. the vibe is too good for heartbreak. heartbreak would feel bad in a place like this. Delicious!!
The best pancakes 🥞 in any Park Slope diner! Burgers are really great too!
This is a delightful diner in the most classic sense. The staff were attentive without being suffocating and fast without seeming rushed. My burger was very solid and so was my friend's. Please be forewarned that they are a cash only. Otherwise, we managed to eat our lunch in 45 minutes from arrival to departure. Prices were very reasonable and just a really nice overall experience.
It's an old school diner with friendly staff...I had a dinner special and it was delicious...and the price was right...also they have a large selection of donuts that they make right there on the premises....I can't resist buying a few to bring home.
Staff is friendly, food is delicious, ambiance is a real diner feel. What more could you want? AND DONT FORGET THE DONUTS
Doughnuts are spot on. The staff was super nice and accommodating. Bring Cash ! Our server was kind and helpful and swift. Highly recommend for Breakfast/Brunch & Doughnuts!
My favorite spot to go for donuts and breakfast. An excellent spot that has great service and chefs. Cash only!
Donuts are fresh and made at premises so they'revery tasty and fresh, I love them, didn't eat but I'm sure is very good; whennim in the area always stop
DONUT DONUT DONUT 🍩 Looking for class? Step into the iconic 8th Street Diner for delicious food and some top notch service. I had a MTA wrap. It was made by the kitchen. It’s just named after the MTA. It was chicken, bacon, tomato, ranch, pita. I could have made it at home but I wanted a professional to make it and it was welllll worth it. Now lets work on getting my dates to stop no showing me lol! Thanks 8th! 👺
Never had the pleasure of dining in but take out and delivery service are always prompt and I haven't had any issues thus far. Me and my daughter ordered dinner I had Fettucine Carbonara with ham, bacon, and mushrooms and my daughter ordered a chicken wrap. Food was delicious but the best thing was desert!!! Get the Oreo Cheesecake its sooo good!
Awesome local diner! This place has kind of a retro feel which is really cool, it definitely feels like stepping into a real diner in the 70's. I've been here a few times and the food has been pretty good every single time. They usually have daily specials that come with a soup. Most of their food is good but I particularly recommend their chicken tacos. They're very tasty and come with a pretty good spicy salsa. The service is very good. It feels like you're part of the family when you're here. During one of he times I was here, the waitress asked me what vegetable I wanted even though my dish didn't come with one. She came by later to tell me that it wasn't usually included in the dish but since she asked me which one I wanted she would bring it by and not charge for it. They also have pretty good donuts! Only thing to note is they only take cash. Very much recommended!
Great quality and large portions at fair prices. Donuts were delicious. Very kind staff. Highly recommend. Cash only.
I always order from here and I’m on a mission to get their yelp review rating up lol. They deserve more credit! Best diner food I’ve ever gotten delivered. Their club sandwiches are excellent and I love their chicken noodle soup. Just classic through and through!
Hi to all, If you are a diner fans , this will be the perfect place for you, an all school diner place with a classic diner's menu and a huge plus , they bake frash Donuts every day. Coffee is always fresh and i highly recommend the Home fries . I also really like the general atmosphere, the crew is super nice . Of course like any real diner, it's open 24/7. Enjoy your meal
This has to be one of my favorite places just to go for a diner. The eggs Benedict is off the hook, the matzoh ball soup is delicious. I would stay away from the turkey or any of the main entrées as I didn’t find them to be very good at all, but for breakfast and for sausage links too notch.
Old fashioned place we only had coffee and donuts, but its was very nice the restaurant has an old fashioned feeling which was so nice . Would lovely go again. And also the staff was very welcoming from the manger to the Waitres.
Honestly, I have a deep love for the neighborhood that this diner is in. So my review will be really bias. My fiance and I order the staple items at first: Cheeseburger and fries. But then with her help, I changed my order and order :Ruebun open sandwich - corn beef version. I also order curly fries. The place has booths / tables that are close to each other. Both the Cheeseburger and Ruebun sandwich with the fries were delicious. Considering this is diner food- it was well worth the $29 + tip. The place has two TV's and a clean bathroom. Heads up they only take cash. NO credit card. Next time we want to order their pound cake donuts.
Really great diner; tidy with fantastic donuts. They’re fresh even late at night. I’m always happy to come in here
24hr service and donuts, what more could you ask for? Honestly, probably the best variety of fresh donuts you can find in the entire city. One of the few places you can get a jelly filled granular sugar coated donut! Yum.
Best donuts in Brooklyn. I cant say enough good things about this place. They're open late which is always a plus. The donuts are always so fresh- I've come here all hours of the day and night and the baked goods are always fresh. This is the type of small business that makes me proud to be a small business owner in NYC. The pride they put into their restaurant plus the kindness of their staff; this place is overall just a great establishment and I'm so happy I discovered them (years ago now). Try the mini lemon bunt cakes, with the drizzled icing on top... oh man they're so good. You'll be happy you treated yourself.
Great experience here. Tried the roast beef sandwich, curly fries, boston creme and cinnamon roll donuts. Waitress was super helpful resolving one minor error. Roast beef was kind of dry but incredible flavorful. curly fries did what curly fries ought to do. Boston creme was a 7/10 (a little dry, custard low flavor, chocolate glaze was completely solid) cinnamon bun donut was a 9/10 flavor explosion.
Classic diner. Warm service. Plenty of regulars. Food standard diner food but very reasonably priced for what it is. 24 hours a day and cash only makes this feel like a throwback in BK. Loved it.
If you are looking for the perfect Brooklyn brunch, look no further. The food at 7th Ave Diner is consistently incredible, but what really makes this place special is the service—specifically Luisa. She is a absolute rockstar! She’s attentive, warm, and makes sure you’re taken care of from the moment you sit down. The Highlights: • The Omelet: Perfectly fluffy, generous with the fillings, and not greasy at all. It’s exactly what a diner omelet should be. • Eggs Benedict: The poached eggs were spot on, and the hollandaise was rich and velvety. • The Pancakes: Do not skip these. They are massive, airy and golden-brown crisp on the edges. Between the delicious comfort food and Luisa’s amazing hospitality, this has easily become my go-to spot. I’ll be back every week.
7th Ave Donuts and Diner is a solid neighborhood spot that hits the spot any time of day. The donuts are fresh and satisfying, and the diner food is comforting and well made. Service is friendly and the vibe feels old-school in a good way. A great place to grab breakfast or a quick bite when you're nearby.
Great experience. Server was exceptional and managing the entire place by herself. The other 2 men I saw behind the counters were innocently hilarious. I plan on visiting each time I return to Brooklyn. ..and yes, food was delicious and so was the presentation with very reasonable pricing. Place only accepts cash, so keep this in mind.
A Brooklyn staple for soft, pillowy donuts. There is more of a neighborly approach in their customer service, prepare to include that into the time it may take to pick up your order. You’ll see what the kind of melting pot this place attracts instantly. Overall, a family friendly spot that provides comforting warmth in food and service.
I had such a great experience at 7th Ave Park Slope Diner! The food was absolutely amazing — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. You can really tell they take pride in what they serve. The employees were so well-mannered, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right. It’s rare to find that kind of genuine hospitality these days, and it made the meal even better. I’ll definitely be coming back soon — this place has officially become one of my favorite spots in Park Slope!
Visited the first time to pick up donuts for a work event (about 65 people). Donuts were excellent, many rave reviews and requests for the name. Didn't eat in, but liked the vibe and will be back. Updated but appropriate for a 'diner' experience. Staff was very accommodating. Will be back to check out the non-donut food. And get more donuts. ;)
CASH ONLY! A classic New York City diner! The staff were super friendly and they were busy but moving so quick when we visited. The food was delicious! We had the French toast and an omelette and both were amazing! The fruit on the French toast was fresh and the sweetness level was perfect. The omelette was solid but I was addicted to the fried potatoes! We took a chocolate glazed donut to go which was delicious and I’ll be back to try more soon!
My favorite classic diner in brooklyn. The matzah ball soup has healed me many times when I’ve been sick. The food is consistently excellent when I go. My husband and I love the tuna melt too. The staff are so welcoming and kind, it makes the experience even better. I want to make this a weekly dinner so I can try different things on the menu :) they even surprised us with a donut at the end of the meal which made our day. thank you so much!!! Tip: get cash before from your bank to avoid atm fees as it is cash only
"If you’re in the area, you should definitely drop by—they’re open 24/7. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. The Subway is close by, and while street parking is available, it can be a bit tricky to find a spot. The donuts are simply amazing, and the diner food is worth every bite. Keep in mind, it’s a cash-only place, but there’s an ATM in the corner for convenience. Make sure to come hungry because you’ll leave satisfied. A really amazing friend recommended this spot, and I’m so glad I visited—I can’t wait to return."
Historic Diner With The Freshest Donuts 🍩 this place has the best donuts for decades… waaaay before it was a trend with the other new gourmet donuts. You’ll find the old fashioned no frills donuts and cruellers but they are made fresh at 8pm nightly. So that’s the best time to pick them up. The diner food is good too but you can get that anywhere but there’s only one place for 7th Ave Donuts! Tip: buy a dozen and get one free and it’s CASH only. Highly Recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It wasn’t hard for us to decide to eat here since it was probably the only restaurant open on Christmas Day but we are so glad we stopped here! The specials of Leg of Lamb and Chicken Francese were so incredibly delicious I could definitely see myself coming back here again even though we live in Queens. Even the chicken and rice soup was perfectly hot and tasty! The side of curly fries was great too! The meals all came out at weird times which made the meal a bit awkward and less than ideal but the waitress was so nice and even gave us two donuts for free on our way out for our little one!! Such a charming little gem that I’m glad we found!!
I stopped in for breakfast this weekend to find out what all the hype is about this place and how good their donuts are. When you see places in business for so many years like this one, you can clearly see why. When you walk in, the staff is warm and welcoming, and the diner itself has that old-school vibe. The food comes out fast, fresh, and tasty. It doesn't hurt also that they make a really good cup of coffee. Now on to the donuts....The donuts are made right on the premises, so you know going in you are getting fresh delicious donuts every time. They are reasonable in price at $2 per donut, and the more you buy, the cheaper they are. They have a decent sized menu, and the prices are very...and I do mean very reasonable, especially for Park Slope. Be forewarned that this place is cash only! I will definitely stop in again the next time I am in the area, if not to dine in, but to get some of those donuts!
the donuts were amazing!!! however the girl at the counter, (long dark hair, probably mid 20s/early 30s) was so disrespectful, giving me mean looks and straight up laughing at me to her coworkers. i felt really disrespected by that, if the owners know who i’m talking about please make her aware of this issue.
Man in the front was very kind. Food is delicious. The ladies at the counter however were inattentive, kept forgetting what we ordered, and the woman in the glasses slammed the salt and pepper in front of us and made a mocking gesture at my dining partner and I taking the only salt and pepper available on the entire bar counter away from another customer to give to us. Don’t think it’s worth going on a Saturday. Perhaps the service is better when there is no one there.
Great local diner with good food and donuts. I like the chilaquiles and breakfast plate with chorizo. Sometimes their servers are a little stretched thin, but otherwise a great place for classic diner food. Remember its cash only
Surprisingly great chicken cutlet and sweet potato fries. Good steak and eggs. Good tacos. Bad pastrami. Great donuts. Cash only.
Great diner food with several classic dishes. The staff is very professional and very friendly too. Relaxed atmosphere where you feel like you could linger. I look forward to going back. Plus, this restaurant provides good value for great food.
One of the few remaining diners. (God, I miss those days when they were on every corner!) Standard diner fare. Food is solid, with some weak spots. But,.. Donuts! Lots of them, and they're not the over-sweetened crap you get from Dunkin'! They have flavor, and variety. I just wish I could afford to live in the neighborhood!
Donuts are fantastic! Highly recommend the cinnamon roll and french cruellers! Diner food is just okay. Most items were overcooked. Just come for doughnuts!
I was looking for a nice place to have breakfast with my sister and she loves this diner. Its wasn't that busy, even on a sunday morning, and the staff were super friendly and on point with serving. The omelettes were fantastic and HELLA cheesy. The patries were also great, especially the boston creme, but they were a bit pricey, so something to keep in mind. Definitely a spot I'd want to visit again. 😤
Donuts here are excellent, me and my friend sat to have coffee and donuts and the waitress who was an older lady in the evening was so incredibly rude to us for no reason. Seemed like she was upset because we took a table and were only having donuts and coffee? It was really strange. The rest of the staff are really nice.
Went here with my parents who were visiting from out of town and got chocolate glazed donuts, cinnamon rolls, and a cream puff. The place is really neat: a long-standing diner and donut shop; the atmosphere is excellent. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, none of the pastries were good at all. They were all dry and pretty flavorless. Nonetheless, I want to go back and try the diner food.
7th Ave dounts are meant to be eaten right away. They are not made to be eaten later. The donuts become stale quickly. The service person is very short with people who are not from the neighborhood. The coffee is very weak as well. It did not meet the donut fix I had unfortunately.
Food is not great. Prices have soared yet they’re still cash only for dine-in. Staff is incredibly kind and helpful. Donuts are ok.
Nice clean looking diner, open 24hrs and friendly staff. But the food was mediocre. The onion rings were the best & really tasty, but the burger & fries were not so much. Maybe next time, I would try the breakfast instead. They also have a wide variety of donuts & muffins. I tried the glazed & it was kinda dry.
I trekked to BK from Queens for my Valentines treat. My Boston Cream had virtually no cream. I was so sad. So disappointed. I had be resisting for health reasons and decided now was time to treat myself and ended up so disappointed.
oooo, came for some donuts and paid $7 for 2. we got our favorites, a french cruller and boston cream. the cruller was half glazed so on first bite, it was salty. there was a super doughy middle layer that tasted like egg custard… not typical. the boston cream had no cream until 2/3rd of the way through and there was only a quarter sized amount.
Used to be great until new management took over and increased the 20 dollar box of coffee to 29 dollars and give you less creamer, then a few months later increase the price again to 36 bucks for the same low quality coffee and less creamer. Twice as expensive for less stuff of already low quality coffee
I was looking forward to eating here. Order online and they canceled on me. I had just gotten out of the Emergency Room overnight and was starving. I just wanted a soup, salad, and pastrami. I was devastated when it was canceled for no reason. I will not be returning for business.
We’ve always really liked this diner. It’s been a regular breakfast spot for us, but what happened on our last visit totally caught me off guard. A gentleman politely asked the manager if he and his partner could take some engagement photos with a photographer the next day. Totally fair to say no, the restaurant doesn’t owe anyone a photoshoot. But the way the manager, Teddy, handled it was just… wild. He launched into this loud, long, condescending rant about why getting married was a bad idea and then threatening to call the police and sue if they even tried to take photos. It wasn’t just a “no,” it was aggressive and mean for no reason. We left with such a sour taste in our mouths, and not from the food. Kindness doesn’t cost anything. Sadly, we won’t be coming back
Not helpful after my order was stolen because of uber eats miscommunication. Flat out told me they don’t want to help me. Horrible customer service.
Management apparently thinks it’s a good idea to paint the door handles with thick, oily, black paint in the middle of lunch service and not put up a sign or tell anyone about it. Six of us came in and unknowingly got black paint smeared all over our down jackets and jeans. Place smelled like gasoline. We showed them the paint stains and the response was “it wasn’t me!” They didn’t even offer to comp our donut order. Donuts were dry and crumbly, too. So disappointing!
I guess I came in on a bad day, but service was absolute crap. Food was mediocre and donuts were stale. To some of the servers you have to repeat yourself multiple times and on top of that they still got a simple order wrong. You would think that they offer donuts since it's in the name of the restaurant before your check but nope. Too fast paced like they're in a rush for something which is ironic because it took forever to get our check, and they don't even ask you how was everything don't think they care anyway. Oh and they get upset if THEY brought you the wrong item and you ask them nicely to switch it...just terrible experience overall. At least the prices were cheap so I didn't have to waste too much on being disappointed.
Went August 24th and asked if I can have a cheeseburger deluxe, with half onion rings and fries. She said no, id have to ask for a separate order of fries. I left and went to Daisy diner. Same order no issue and I was given exactly what I order no extra cost......ladies and gentlemen, go two blocks down and get exactly what you want to order no extra cost
The driver barley spoke English then instead on going back and forth with me about my address being incorrect because he was not able to locate it! I checked the app and it was definitely the correct address I really wanted the experience for the doughnuts I ended up with rock hard inedible doughnuts and I’m pregnant the beef sausage was spicy and tasted like pork and I don’t eat pork!
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE . go in person and CHECK YOUR FOOD before you leave . Constantly receiving the wrong order. Ordered Turkey bacon and paid extra and they send PORK BACON. When you call the owner he says “ next time when you order , call the store and make sure we have it right” WHY would I need to do that these people are extremely incompetent and offer no resolution. Anything you order they will give you the opposite this has happened so many times and I still support because this is the only diner in my area but they need to do better. I will not be ordering again.
We were excited to try this place this morning, but instead had one of the least welcoming experiences we’ve ever had. As soon as we sat down the waitress was extremely rude and barked at us about our order without even saying hello. I tried to say good morning and she barked again so we decided to get up and leave. Amazingly, she followed us to the exit and said we were “taking it too personally” and were “too entitled.” We can’t comment on the food and now never will. Our daughter was so excited about the donuts that we probably would’ve become regulars. A little decency is all it would have taken.
