Honestly, this is one of the best hot dogs I’ve had in NYC. The crispy sesame baguette, the juicy homemade sausage, and the sauces are unreal. I’ve never tasted anything like this anywhere else here.

Was here tonight with my daughter and after a long day of walking and exploring NYC, this was the best place to end up. I didn’t catch the bartender’s name but he was very attentive and gave great recommendations. The sours I had were incredible and I typically don’t even like sours. Great place with lots of options and excellent service.

Today 6/29/25 and it had a lot on the board. No frozen drinks or coffee were available and I was a dd so they let me get a soda and bring it in from dumbo market. Husband liked the Even More Covered in Marlon Hair and Mercat Marlon. James tried a greenhouse Nordic Amber Lager and liked it. Cool chill vibe. Only snacks for sale were chips and pretzels. Walk to look at Manhattan and the incredible views after a cold frosty one!

Stumbled upon this brewery after a long stroll on the Brooklyn bridge and we're glad we did. It's exactly what we needed on the hot day that it was. Excellent selection of beers. Favourites were #4 and #19. #4 is milkshake IPA and unlike anything I've tasted before. It's sweet and really very good. #19 is a triple IPA, also very good. The cocoa cream ale was decent. #18 was also good. The staff and service were good.

Hot spot for a quick, cold beer. Flavors range from the standard afternoon lager to sours and milkshake IPAs (a first for me). Busy but quick service. Just about every flavor is also available to-go, even if not the exact same beers as on tap. Cool.

I stopped by this place the other day and honestly loved it. The first thing that impressed me was their signature beer — they brew it themselves, and you can really taste the difference. It’s smooth, fresh, and just hits right. If you’re into good drinks, this spot is definitely worth visiting. We also tried a few dishes — fried dumplings, sea salad, and shawarma — and everything was super tasty and nicely presented. The portions were good, and the flavors felt balanced. The vibe is relaxed and friendly, perfect for hanging out with friends, grabbing drinks, and just enjoying the evening. I’d definitely come back, especially for the beer 🍺

Beer is 5 star. Nextone food popup is 5 star (I dream of the red sauce they serve with the dumplings and the lavash). Great location, beautiful space. One of the best places to get craft beer in the city.

I ordered dumplings from them, everything is very fresh, the cook cooked in front of me. Thank you very much, I’ll come again. I recommend trying hot dogs as well, they are the best in Brooklyn

I go here whenever I have the opportunity during my lunch break. Everything is absolutely delicious, the creamy tomato soup was mouthwatering. The staff is super friendly. This is my go to place. I want for when it opens on Wednesdays with anticipation!!

An absolute gem. Everything we tried was incredibly fresh, perfectly baked, and full of rich, buttery flavour. The croissants are flaky with just the right amount of crisp on the outside, and the almond croissant in particular is unreal without being overly sweet. The space has a cozy, classic bakery feel, and the staff are friendly and efficient even when it’s busy. A must stop if you’re in DUMBO and love proper French pastries.

Cozy bakery in DUMBO with an extensive selection. Attentive, professional staff and exquisite food. They have breads, sandwiches, savory (e.g. quiche) and so many delicious sweet offerings. The 10 layer crepe cake (raspberry with cream) was a standout. Also, best latte I've had anywhere!

Almondine Bakery in Dumbo Brooklyn is the real deal. Their almond croissant is properly made, the almond filling is baked right into the dough, not slapped in after the fact like a sad afterthought. You can taste the authenticity in every flaky, buttery bite. Honestly, it rivals the magic of Patisserie Valerie in Soho, London — and that’s saying something. A must-stop for anyone who takes their pastries seriously (or just wants to feel briefly transported to Europe).

After enjoying some fantastic Dominican BBQ food from the Bark Barbeque stall in the 5th floor rooftop foodhall of the Timeout Market we fancied some hot drinks and pastries. So we popped into the delightful Almondine café next door where we had a delicious almond croissant, cafe latte & cuppa tea at one of the small number of tables inside the small café. Our server was very friendly & helpful. There was a display of wonderful looking cakes & pastries inside a refrigerated cabinet in front of a Bakery at the back of the café, so I assumed they must have all been made in house. There's a single toilet at the back of the café and it's probably not suited for people with physical disabilities as the front door is accessed from a flight of steps.

I went to Almondine Bakery while visiting the area last weekend and had a great experience! I was there early on a Sunday and the atmosphere was so quaint and relaxing. The staff members were welcoming and friendly. I have food allergies, and they went above and beyond to check with the kitchen on what would be safe for me to order. I really appreciated that! Everything looked so fresh and wonderful! I definitely recommend Almondine Bakery and look forward to visiting again soon.

Stopped here for pastries and coffee on a cold afternoon, the pastries were fresh and good sizes. Flavorful and well balanced, the pears were on point and the combination of chocolate and raspberry really brightened the semisweet aftertaste of the pastry. Happy to recommend.

Amazing Cappuccino made by this beautiful Spanish girl. She is exceptionally talented and great customer service. She was amazing with the customers. Amazing place in beautiful Dumbo. Everything here is fresh, they don't keep them for resale next day. Always Fresh bread, sandwiches and good coffee. The counter staff is amazingly helpful and quick. Next time when you crave for caffeine fix, this is the place. Also when you are in Dumbo, check out Emerald Gem Exchange on Front street for all your Jade , gemstones and jewelry needs. I give Almondine 5 out of 5 french kisses!

Evil Twin’s DUMBO location is a solid spot for craft beer lovers, with a great selection and a prime location in Brooklyn. The beers were good overall, but the standout for me was their sour sangria—absolutely amazing and a must-try. We sampled the Pale Ale, Purple Rice Lager, and the Sangria, and while all were enjoyable, the sangria stole the show. The bartenders were friendly and welcoming, which added to the laid-back atmosphere. The location itself is a big plus—perfect for grabbing a drink while exploring the area. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you’re into unique and flavorful brews.

Orange juice was good, not necessarily $8 a cup good but still good. We had a ham & cheese sandwich that was tasty & large for $11, the only odd part was the bread had big nuts all throughout. Coffee was decent, I liked the addition of the honey jar at the self station.

Tale of two halves here. Firstly the pastry, without comparison the best pastry we had in NYC. Delicious almond croissant which had both an exceptional filling and pastry that was so brilliantly crafted, it melted in your mouth. Just had a dreadful coffee at Butler so we walked here for a long black - again poor. So take away point is - go for the pastry and you won’t be disappointed!

Excellent pastries… Specifically the peach Danish and the 10 layer crepe was perfectly balanced with sweetness… Not too sweet like you would normally find them in other US bakeries. Very fair prices compared to the rest of NY… Cozy seating area. Overall highly recommended for a quick stop & sweet fix!!

Almondine is a quaint little shop, with some solid pastries, and okay coffee. The space is quite tight, and there isn’t much seating, but luckily the surrounding area is a nice neighborhood to walk around if you’d rather do that. The staff were friendly enough. Overall, a decent spot to stop for a bite and a coffee, but not sure I’d go out of my way for it.

I recently tried two desserts here – the cheesecake and the mille crepe cake. The cheesecake was absolutely delightful! It had a perfectly creamy texture, a rich but balanced flavor, and the crust added a nice crunch. The fresh berries on top were a great touch. Definitely one of the best cheesecakes I’ve had in a while. On the other hand, the mille crepe cake was just okay. While it looked beautiful, the layers were a bit dry and the cream lacked depth in flavor. It’s a light option, but overall, it didn’t quite meet expectations. I’d come back for the cheesecake, but probably skip the crepe cake next time.

I liked the croissant. The pastry of chocolate eclair was soft, but the flavor was good. The staff was very kind and the place was clean. A good spot to stop by. I will come back and try their in-house baked breads.

We did not enjoy it. My daughter got the croissant with pistachio and it was too rich. The eclair was not light. It was far too chocolate and the baguette was basic. We didn’t even order drinks and it was over $25.

Awful experience with very rude bartenders. My drink was accidentally knocked over when my niece bumped into my arm, and the bartenders just watched and offered nothing. The couple next to us kindly poured from their own carafes instead. This is the first time I’ve experienced such poor and unprofessional behavior in this country. I definitely do not recommend this place.

I had a really disappointing experience at Almondine Bakery in Brooklyn. From the moment we walked in, the woman behind the counter seemed cold and rude toward us. What really bothered me was how friendly and cheerful she was with the white customers before and after us, but with us, we’re Brown and Muslim, her whole attitude changed. No smile, no warmth, just a clear difference in how we were treated. It honestly felt like she didn’t even try to hide it, which was really upsetting. We ordered three hot chocolates hoping at least the drinks would make up for it, but they were terrible. All three were so bad we ended up throwing them out. I don’t know how you can mess up hot chocolate, but somehow they did. The only thing that was decent was the cheesecake. It was fine, nothing special but definitely better than the drinks. Still, the overall experience left a really bad taste. It’s sad because I wanted to like this place, but I can’t support a business that treats people differently based on how they look.

I went to this coffee shop today with my sister and cousin, and our experience was awful. While we were waiting to order, a man kept going back and forth adding to his family’s order. When he finally seemed done, we stepped up to place ours. The woman taking orders, who appeared to be Hispanic, was extremely rude to us for no reason. Throughout our visit, we noticed that she was very friendly toward white customers but spoke rudely to people of color and Muslim customers. It was uncomfortable and disappointing to witness. The only positive part of our visit was the Asian lady working there, who was kind and respectful while taking our order, thank you to her for showing basic courtesy. To make things worse, the hot chocolate was terrible. They literally heated up bottled chocolate milk right in front of us, it wasn’t sweet at all and tasted nothing like real hot chocolate. Overall, this was one of the worst coffee shop experiences I’ve had. The rude and discriminatory behavior from the cashier was unacceptable, and we won’t be coming back.
