Opinions de Bombay Kebab Brooklyn
Very friendly service and high quality food. Tikka masala is excellent and lentils are even better. Love that the meat is halal, and it's a beautiful street.
The chana saag was delicious!
This restaurant is the BEST restaurant in park slope. The service was AMAZING and the owner even offered me and my friend a free refill (we are hs students) PLEASE come to this restaurant and show support!!!
Food was amazing and delicious. The food waz definitely made with love. Staff was very accommodating and very friendly.
Bombay Kabab is a wonderful place! Let me tell you why my wife and I live it: food is simply perfect, with a selection of dishes you certainly will not find in other Indian/Bangladeshi restaurants. The vibe is quiet and staff is very kind. And there's Mohammed, of course. Cool guy, who will make you feel at home. Don't forget to try the coconut Naan and the vegetarian balls! Ohhhhhh, this is making me hungry... Don't think too much. Try it!
Amazing service and food. The chicken saag flavorful.
Best Indian food I’ve had in the area!! Paneer tikka masala and aloo matar gobi were top notch. Also great service, very friendly and helpful. Definitely a new go-to spot.
We love this place and order delivery from them at least once a week through the container reuse program Deliver Zero. Wonderful food.
Great food and the dinner special comes with appetizer and dessert for $17 would definitely go again
Food and smoothies are delicious. Definitely have to come back.
Excellent food, I loved the halal options. Everything was full of flavor. Can’t wait to go back.
The food is very tasty and when I order for pick-up it's always ready in like 20 mins at most. Really nice guys working there too
The experience was amazing. It is a family owned business.the food was delivered on a timely manner. The taste was amazing.
The best mushroom soup and salmon tandoori. It's a great discovery. They use Alaskan salmon and that is is the best.
Good quick service and always great food! I order and eat in here often and never have had any bad experiences.
Best Indian food in Park Slope, hands down! I go here a few times a week. Always delicious.
Loved their chicken malai and butter chicken😋 fluffy butter naan. And milk tea, if you want to taste Bangladeshi dudh cha (milk tea) you gotta try theirs😜💕
Amazing food the paparadam and sauces were delicious. Give this place a try
Had a nice get-together with friends. The service was amazing and kind and I devoured the food. C: I had chicken korma, garlic naan, and kherr All together was around 20 to 25-ish
love this spot! delicious food and great vegetarian options. my go-to in the neighborhood
I love Saag Paneer and they have a unique flavor that I can’t get enough of. After my first visit I get it at least 3 times a week!
Great restaurant. Very delicious and authentic food, great portion sizes for the price.
We ordered take out. And it was DELICIOUS! Came fast and hot and fresh. Soooi good. Will def order again soon and often. A real find.
Not going to lie, it is a little heavy on the stomach. However… if you are a lover of Indian cuisine and especially tikka masala you will love this place!! Hospitality is wonderful and the food is cooked with perfection. Will revisit soon.
Hands-down, the best Indian food in the area. Incredibly prompt with pick up and delivery timing. Very friendly staff. And unbelievably delicious. At a very good price.
I love this place - their special with soup, samosa, naan and entree for under $20 is incredible. I’ve gotten pick up and delivery and it’s always super fresh and hot. Everyone who works there is kind and helpful, and they love the neighborhood. Highly recommend!
Nice cozy place I order takeout from often! The food is tasty and owner is friendly whenever I come in to pick up.
Excellent restaurant, true in ingredients and quality. Polite and careful service, fast delivery. I commend that at this time they continue to work and make an effort to provide the same great food as always. Highly recommended.
Solid curries, excellent attentive service.
Clean food: excellent service: AND THEY LET US BRING OUR OWN BOTTLE OF SPECIAL WINE!!! No corkage, with wine glasses provided, and warm hospitality. Very grateful we staled upon this place ❤️
Great dinging experience! Very welcoming staff! Super friendly and kind! Food was amazing!!!!!! Will be coming back here again!
The dinner special was an amazing deal. I got to have everything I wanted!!
The best Indian I have had in a, long long time. Delicious authenticity cooked food! Local staple, come by and try!
the vegetable samosas are out of this world. perfectly textured dough. i wanted to fall asleep and have sweet sweet dreams on the pillowy naan. My lamb madras was wonderful as always. efficient, good price, and great food.
I moved here from the west coast, and I haven't been able to find proper butter chicken in Brooklyn. This is it. So damn good. Nice guy working there too.
I’ve been here many times now and the food and service is always amazing and consistent! The dinner special is a great price with the chicken tikka masala being my goto. Definitely recommend checking this place out!
Best chicken masala, perfectly seasoned lamb curry and naans are fresh in ghee. We’ll definitely come back again! Delicious!
I go here all the time for take-out. The food is ready quickly, and always enjoyable. I usually get rice with a saucy chicken dish like Chicken Tikka Masala, which is what I got today. I love saucing up the rice, plus the chicken is delish. Inside the restaurant, it's pretty cozy with an intimate set up which is nice so you can enjoy your company from close quarters, and it doesn't get too noisy. As I wait for my order, there's almost always an Indian dancing video on the hanging tv in the front which is fun to watch to pass the time. Mohammed(sp?) is usually there to hand out the food so it's great to see that he cares about the shop. Definitely will be returning again in the near future!
The food here is so well priced, and the staff here is always so friendly and welcoming.
I had my dinner today .i am Really surprised about new decoration ,new management.the ambience was really good .specially i recomend their shirmp saag. That was really top class .their service also yoo good . I Will be back soon
Mohammed is a very good cook, i loved it
Really nice, genuine, spot. Mohammad has great customer service, the food is delicious and the naan is especially fresh. Authentic chai tea is the cherry on top. For quick, easy Indian food in the neighborhood you can’t go wrong
I was never a big fan of Indian food until I went to Bombay Kabab. Food is fresh and delicious. Customer service is attentive and friendly. My friend and I had a little bit of friendly chit-chat with our waiter and he gave us free desert! The place is small and they seem to emphasize delivery, but what is there is nicely decorated and comfortable. Highly recommend!
Been ordering from this place from a couple of years now. The owner is very attentive and is always on top of things: once I tried experimenting with the thins I put in my naan and he called me to let me know that he could do it, but it was a bad idea :)
Great food, wonderful people, cozy atmosphere
Ordered catering for an event and the food was delicious Sag paneer Chicken tika massala Veggie biryani Garlic naan & cheese naan A chickpea dish I can’t remember name of Lamb kebab Mango lassi Everything was incredible and they accommodated this large order within 25 hours which was greatly appreciated . Muhammad was such a sweet guy and I’ll definitely be ordering in the future. My guests kept asking where the food was from . Thank you!
The Tandoori Chicken came out on a sizzling platter with lots of onions and peppers and was excellent, and a good portion besides. The other dishes and the hot nan were also excellent, as well as the friendly service. Great Indian food without leaving Brooklyn! Don't forget to BYO beer and wine from the store a block away.
best for dine in. i had my lunch here with my friend. i tried tandori chiken. its like fresh and juicy. i really liked it. i will be back.
I visited Bombay Kakab yesterday and It was my first time trying indian food and it was honestly super good and flavorful. Every bite just felt like I was tasting something new. My friends and I got the chicken tikka masala and chicken biryani and the chicken was so flavorful! We also order the naan and we weren’t disappointed it was so good and buttery!! I can’t wait to revisit so I can try the other items on the menu. ❤️❤️
first time trying Indian food, LOVED IT! 10/10 I really enjoyed the tikka masala and the garlic naan. Food came hot and service was great.
Enjoyed a delicious lunch special with friends. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. Great deal at only $8.95. Can’t wait to go back! I recommend ordering things “medium spicy.”
UPDATE DEC. 2018: I just love this restaurant. It’s small and homey, and the people are so kind. The food is terrific. The samosas are so flaky, and everything is just right. I recommend the tandoori chicken (I prefer tikka because it’s boneless) and the naan, of course. If you can’t get here, they do deliver and it’s great then too — but if you can stop by it’s a great small spot. The lunch special is very fairly priced and a good opportunity to get used to the offerings. PREVIOUS 2017: Absolutely wonderful new Indian restaurant in Park Slope. It’s in the space that housed a former good Indian spot, and it’s awfully tiny, but it’s really good. The chicken soup is lentil-based and excellent. The chicken tikka salad is very good. The naan is soft and crusty. I’m looking forward to trying it again.
Pretty good Indian place! Their dinner set menu is a great deal - you get a soup, a small appetizer, a main dish with rice and naan, and a rice pudding for dessert for $16-18. Vegetarian options are cheapest with a small premium for chicken and lamb. I got a samosa for the appetizer, the mulligatawny soup (a kind of mildly spicy tomato lentil soup, very tasty), and chicken vindaloo for the main entree. Everything was really tasty and of a good portion size. The place itself is a little small so it feels intimate. Service is pretty good, everyone was very nice and the food came out fast. I would definitely come back.
I was in Brooklyn visiting friends and they took me to Bombay Kabob. We were looking for somewhere where my friends could bring their dog. They allowed us to bring their dog inside the restaurant as long as she stayed in the carrier. I ordered the pre fix which was a four course meal and it was delicious. I ordered the chicken tikka masala and a couple of things I haven’t had before . Our server Mohammed (I think he was also the owner) was very kind and offered us menu items on the house. He genuinely cared if we were having a good experience. I will be returning!

Love this cozy little place. The lentil soup is seriously delicious. Lots of good vegan options and it felt pretty cheap (for the area)!
Definitely had a good time. Had the chicken tikka masala was delicious and the samosa was good. Would happily come back.
This is my go-to spot for Indian takeout in the neighborhood. I’ve tried several dishes and they are all great and flavorful. They are also super fast and affordable!
Lovely place! Highly recommend! Lamb Tikki Masala was amazing! Service was friendly. These cute little places is what makes NYC special!
Delicious food, great vegetarian options and service was excellent, we asked for items not on the menu and the server was extremely accommodating. Would definitely recommend. Very reasonable prices.
This food was so filling and delicious I will definitely be returning. The man there was so nice and gave me and my friend a student discount. I had the butter chicken and garlic naan and it was so good. Highly recommend!
Cozy restaurant with great food. We are always happy with genuine service. We enjoyed the Aloo Chana Saag (spinach) dish, which was the perfect balance with the biryani, which had some kick to it. The chicken tikka is always on par, as well as the vegetable samosa and naan. Highly recommend.

A hidden gem for Indian food in the neighborhood. It often gets overlooked because it’s next to Ramen Danbo, but the food is excellent (if a little oily). I would say if you don’t specify a spice level, it will be bland, but if you tell them Medium or higher, it’s very good.
I got the chana saag and mango lassi delivered. I received it under 30 mins but I guess it depends on your location. The saag was tasty, the quantity was good.
Tasty. I was the only one in there so the owner and waiter started loudly talking so I had to put on my headphones. Other than that a very clean place with excellent food and paper towels in the bathroom. Lastly I learned the lunch special wasn’t in effect on weekends when I sat down and opened the menu. Four stars because the fare was excellent.
Not one single thing takes away a whole star by itself. People are so nice, its quiet, food tastes good. Portions not large but not small either. Rice was dry, lamb chops seasoning was amazing. Food overall tasted great. Price not cheap, but not too expensive from average. Fact that its halal is great too.

Have you changed your hours? I went at lunchtime and you weren’t open
Their curry is watery. I ordered twice, hoping the first time was a fluke, but their chicken tikka masala is like a thin soup, not what you'd expect from tikka masala. Bread and rice are okay.
Average food. Very poor service on this visit. I ordered five things and received three. Of the three, two were not exactly what I ordered but close enough. I talked to management afterwards and they said the waiter was on his first day. No help? No training? The food itself was fine, but not more than that. I love good Indian food. This was just average.
We ordered over 3 hours ago and called over 30 times and the restaurant picked up once after the first hour telling us he would get to us and to be patient and wait as he was understaffed. I understand these times are trying but restaurants should not accept orders if they can’t fulfill them.
Poorly seasoned lentils similar in quality to costco packaged lentils. $17 for 7 pieces of cold shrimp on a bed of raw onion and that’s it. No thanks!
One of the worst chicken biryanis I have had in my entire life. Adding some chicken pieces to veg pulao isn’t biryani. Guys, please don’t spoil the name of the dish.
Ordered and payed for food online, got a confirmation and an order number, but they never delivered. Said they hadn’t received the order when called them and WOUND NOT honor the order. Stay away from this place!
The absolute worst tasting Biryani rice I have ever had. It was very bland & the chicken was very dry & aIso tasteless. Worst of all, I was literally on the toilet within10 minutes of forcing down a few spoonfuls. Use your imagination! My 1st & last time eating there. I will remain faithful to Nimbooda on Washington Ave. I should have realized that when nobody walked in there while I waited for my order. Meanwhile, the Ramen place next door had a wait!
Terrible food. So bland. Ordered through seamless, delivery. They forgot the rice so I went to the restaurant myself and they informed me that the plate does not come with rice. So, I spent $17 on a vegetarian tikka masala. When I pointed out that they are over charging, they started yelling at me. Then all of a sudden they start claiming I’m at the wrong restaurant even after showing them a receipt with their name on it. Over rice? And again, very bland food.
Bad delivery experience. Order was more than two hours late from the estimated delivery order so nearly three hours. I called twice with each hour and was promised the delivery was on its way. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Eventually I was told I cancelled my own order in my third call. Completely unprofessional and a lie. I hope they were having a bad day but I certainly did waiting for three hours.
I’m sure there are many who love this place. I’m not one of them. First, they’re listed as “Indian horizon” on Uber Eats, where I placed my order. Seems like something is off. I should probably have checked before I placed the order. Second, the Entree was supposed to come with a side of rice - but it was missed. Lastly, the chicken biryani. What can I say about this biryani. Personally, it was not worthy of the name. A chicken biryani with peas? I’ve had hundreds of biryanis in my life but never a chicken biryani that also had peas. Moreover, the biryani has turmeric - another ingredient that’s amazing but does not belong in a biryani. And then the texture - soggy. It’s the first principle of any pulao or biryani in the Indian subcontinent - every rice should be separable from the next in a nice steamy sort of way. Missed the mark on several counts. Definitely not trying this place again.
No talking sense to costumer. Behave rudely.
Don't order for delivery, we ordered for delivery, our food never came, we called several times, only once did someone answer, asking for our patience. We ordered at 6:30 for a 7:30 delivery, by 10:00 pm, we called seamless to cancel the order. Bad business! Very dissatisfied, they don't deserve a half star.!
The staff at this store are very rude and don't know how to respect people.😡 An employee should treat customers well. but I did not receive any good treatment from the employees of this store.😡 I am leaving this shop from today.👎👎👎
This was the worst dining experience of my life. Not only was the silverware dirty, the food was cold. When I asked for it to be reheated I received extremely rude responses. The worst part was the blatant racism I experienced. When compared to the white diners my service was terrible. The white diners received refills and extra napkins while I got a dirty look for asking for new silverware. My meal was also overcharged by at $10 but when I confronted them they refused to lower the price. I left humiliated and deeply unsatisfied. I will never go there again and I suggest if you are black to also avoid this place.
Food is not good. Unhygienic and a bad taste
Food is garbage not testing nothing only too much oil and uncooked food
Got a chicken naan sandwich. When i grabbed it, the owner asked me if its hot. I said yes… Apparently, he didn’t heat up the chicken, only the naan. Thats why he asked if its hot before i even opened the sandwich. After, he tried to say that the sauces were cold, but the chicken was freezing cold from the inside. 1 star, for being dishonest. And not knowing how to make a chicken kabab sandwich. When he asked me if i wanted ketchup and mayo, in a chicken naan sandwich, i knew its gonna be bad. But i asked him for hot sauce or white sauce, he put vinegar! Best to stick with what you know. Next time someone comes in and ask for kabab sandwich (you picked the name…) Say : “we don’t have it”!
Don’t waste your money here, their food is not good at all. The food is really bad, and the staff has no sense of how to communicate properly with customers.
Unfortunately, my experience at Bombay Kebab was very disappointing. The rice was completely bland and lacked any seasoning. The chicken was overcooked and dry, making it hard to enjoy. The saag paneer was extremely oily, which overpowered any flavor the dish might’ve had. The naan was another letdown—dry and clearly reheated rather than freshly made. The dal was just as flavorless, missing the depth and spice you’d expect from a place that specializes in Indian cuisine. To top it all off, the Diet Coke I was served was expired. Overall, this was a poor dining experience. I won’t be returning and cannot recommend this place based on what I had. There are far better options out there for authentic and satisfying Indian food.
Ordered from seamless. Never got our food, they insisted it had been delivered and then refused to refund us. Took two hours to resolve and too many phone calls. Terrible service
Reviewed on January 30th, 2026. Do not order from this restaurant. We placed a GrubHub order at 5:39pm and were charged for it, but the order was repeatedly delayed. We called the restaurant after 7pm and spoke with a VERY rude lady who hung up on us four (4) times and tried to place the blame on us. She said that there were no delivery people to pick up the order so we had to contact GrubHub - however GrubHub then told us that they couldn’t cancel the order and that we had to contact the restaurant. By 7:30pm, a different person calls us from the restaurant and repeats the same thing and then hangs up on us again. Five times we’ve contacted this restaurant over an order that was still delayed by two hours, and five times they’ve hung up on us. We never received the food and so they stole $83.96 from us. Do not order from this restaurant.
I ordered my food on Uber Eats from Bombay Kebabs. I got a chicken bhuna and three naans. The chicken bhuna was too oily, and the chicken pieces were chopped up so small that it felt like a bhurji. The naans were undercooked and not baked properly. When I called the restaurant to complain, the staff started arguing with me. When I mentioned that I was from India, they insinuated that’s why I didn’t like it. Their behavior was rude and made no sense, and the food was basically garbage. So please, don’t waste your money there, as the food is trash.
I ordered the large entree and appetizer. I'm a fried thing forgot the name of it and also, garlic bread and tandori chicken size portionings were so bad. There was only 3 pieces of chicken, everything was cold and the flatbread was soggy.
“The food was absolutely not good, so I contacted the restaurant. Rather than apologizing or trying to resolve the issue, the owner argued with me and clearly has no idea how to speak to customers. Very poor customer service.”
Tikka sauce too sweet - tastes like chef boy ardee plus the chicken is 6 small rubbery pieces. Make sure if you want the $10 lunch special that they don’t charge you for the $12 one. I specifically asked for the $10 but got the one with naan instead (didn’t want or need bread)Small portions and not great for the price. First (and last!) time eating here.
