Food was fantastic and well priced, but the service was not great. I got the large sized curry goat which came with a generous amount of food. The meat was tender and very well seasoned. Also tried the oxtail stew which was good, but not as good as the curry goat. I went to order the food in store with a group of friends, but for some reason they would alternate between taking one of our orders and then from somebody behind our group? It seemed like they only wanted each of us to only order 1 dish at a time too, which was really weird. Never had such an awkward ordering experience but the food made the wait worth it

I was very disappointed with the chicken roti. I usually get the curry chickem roti, but decided to try the jetk chicken, since I I like spicy cicken. It was extremely dry. There was no sauce on the meat which also made the roti dry & tasteless. I had specifically made notes in my online order. The curry chicken roti is usually well seasoned & wet with veggies.I was extreamly disappointed with the dry jerk meat & dry bread. I truly thougut it would be made like the curry chicken roti w/ sauce & veggies. Geez!

I have been going here for years and the food is good, but I wish they were more consistent. I wouldn't recommend ordering from seamless, or Uber eats. It isn't worth the extra money. If you have time go in person. Honestly I keep going back because I haven't found anything better, and fisherman's cove is too far. I usually get the jerk chicken, curry goat or oxtail...anything else is a gamble. 2025 Update: I stopped going here because the last time I ordered oxtail I got PURE BONES and at these prices that’s an act of war.

My friend recommended me to try the fried Chicken from this restaurant. I came, bought fried chicken and goat curry. The fried chicken was flavorful, however, as soon as I tried to eat the curry I found a hair on the goat. From what I tasted it seemed like it was tasty but I couldn’t continue eating it. I came back to the restaurant and easily got a refund. I wouldn’t go again but I would say the food was good.

I’ve ordered from Cartaz multiple times but today will be my last. I ordered a medium jerk chicken with oxtail gravy, as well as a large curry chicken and roti. For starters, my “jerk chicken” had no JERK whatsoever. No gravy, nothing. Just over cooked, dry, rotisserie chicken. Plantains were dry, and the rice was bland. My boyfriends curry chicken looks undercooked, and to save the meal tossed in a bunch of curry gravy. His side of roti tastes like it was made earlier this week. Highly disappointed in this experience.

They are very rude and disrespectful , I would even say racist towards black Americans. I ordered here a couple times from DoorDash and I do Uber eats delivery and the lady with the bleached face at the register that works in the evening is very rude. How are you telling me to confirm before you hand me an order if you don’t trust third-party delivery companies then hire your own delivery drivers! next time I come in there and you try to make me confirm before you hand me something. I’m calling the customer and I’m telling them that you’re holding their food hostage and I will let them cancel because we’re gonna be standing there looking at each other until you handed me the food. And the food is a hit or miss one day it’s good the next day it’s dry you never know what you’re gonna get fresh or dry.

The customer service was poor and it was too much money. They charged me for my food for More, School, chicken stew, chicken, rice, and peas and macaroni salad for two plate plates as the Mayor Brownsville, who run the city who put resources and best die. I should never got treated like a middle like a dirt class person

As a frequent customer, the quality of the beef patties has gone DOWN the past 6 months!!! From being well burnt to my LAST STRAW of having a piece of plastic string in my beef patty🤮🤢 worst fear unlocked, as I already ate piece the enclosed pastry As a fellow Jamaican, I love to support small business and my people BUT the lack of concern/care from the male manager and NOT GETTING A FULL REFUND (didn’t even bother to eat the rest of the food) - is insane. I can deal with attitudes and under qualified management BUT I can’t stand for poor food quality, especially at that price point & w/ Jamaican reputation attached! Things MUST change. But weh di string come from doh?!?!? Garbage bag string? Investigation fi gwan. Jesus like we don’t have enough plastics in our food.

Ordered festival, curry chicken meal and a jerk chicken meal. Was told you were sold out of festival, cool. Got my order and it’s one meal of oxtails… it’s crazy how these restaurants have no problem taking our money but the quality control and attention to details are trash. Don’t worry I won’t be ordering again.

Not flavorfull at all. They use can sauce for pasta, no heavy cream, no seasoning for pasta. The jerk chicken was very dry and they just sit It on top of the pasta with the bone in. Very disappointed in the quality of food . A friend recommended me here and I wouldn’t recommend to my worst coworker for lunch. Don’t go eat here.
