Opinions de Chrissy's Pizza Brooklyn
Finally a slice that bridges the gap between the dollar slice and gourmet pizza. I’m glad pizza is back in the city! So stoked about the service at the spot too. They are helpful and you can tell they care!
Consistently one of the absolute best pies in New York with all star staff. You’re lucky if it’s local and worth the trip if it’s not.
There are easily fifty pizza shops closer to our old apartment in the East Village, probably more. You can trip over a slice shop every half block down there. And still, at least once a week, we crossed the East River to Greenpoint for Chrissy’s. That should tell you everything. We would pick up our pie and eat it in the car so it would stay hot, windows cracked in the winter, engine off in the summer. The crust was always worth it. The sauce was balanced and bright. The cheese is just tastier than everywhere else. Even when the place was packed and the pace was pure New York, we always felt taken care of. In a city overflowing with pizza, where convenience alone could keep you loyal to a dozen perfectly good neighborhood spots, Chrissy’s was the one we chose. Not because it was closest. Because it’s the best. We’ve since moved out of state, and Chrissy’s is genuinely one of the places we miss most about New York. If you’re debating whether it’s worth the trip, it is. Even if there are fifty other options closer to you.
It really is some of the best pizza in NYC. You can taste the effort that goes into every pie, and the crust is immaculate. I've gone twice and waited maybe eight minutes in line at most and the staff were very nice and friendly (and enjoyed the little VHS TV in the corner while my order was cooking). Honestly if you are in the area at all it is fully worth it, haters be damned
Been here a few times now- I live a little over an hour away, and it is well worth the drive. There’s obviously a lot of different “styles” of pizza throughout NY and Chrissy’s is in my opinion, the perfect pizza. No flop on the crust, the sauce isn’t sweet, olive oil drizzle finish just takes it to another level. You need a regular pie, that’s just the rule, THEN get whatever special pie they have going.
Best pizza possibly in the city, certainly in Brooklyn. The staff at Chrissy’s runs like a finely tuned engine, pumping out perfect pies quickly without compromising quality. Chrissy himself, is a sweetheart of a guy and makes you feel welcome and his dedication to serving the best possible product is realized in every bite. I am sadly no longer a resident of this great city and state, but I make sure I have some extra bandwidth when I’m in town to pop in with some friends and savor a delicious, thin, crispy and juicy pie.
Have had Chrissy’s several times - from late night shifts at Superiority Burger, to when they were serving out of the old Superiority Burger space, and several times now at their own spot. And it just keeps getting better. Their own space has given them the ability to really fine tune what they’re doing and offer different pies and everything I’ve had has killed it. The pies are light, crisp, and the flavors are always on point. The three times I’ve grabbed pies at the new spot, wait has only been about 15 minutes between walking in and heading out with my pie - and even when they’ve been slammed and it took a bit longer (still less than 30 min) the service was helpful and chill (nah they aren’t chatting it up like we’re best friends but that’s not what I’m there for and they’re busy!). Chrissy’s is my NY pie ideal.
I’m recently left New York and mentioned to my partner in the airport in Barcelona “ the only thing I miss about New York is Chrissy’s and superiority burger” Chrissy’s stands out against all slices anywhere in terms of taste, tang, a decently acidic sauce missing in almost all slices and the service and welcoming environment the staff provide in a small shop is next to none. I have been over 10 times and never waited in line. You won’t either. It’s what I would describe as a mix of food hedonism and satisfaction in dining at its peak. I live to eat and it checks all the boxes. Run don’t walk
This might be the best pizza in New York. I've been following Chrissy's on social media for a long time, I wish I had tried this sooner. The shop is small but perfect and very clean. Staff was super nice. I ordered online and it was ready exactly for the pick time. The bake was perfect on both pies I ordered. Absolutely PERFECT bake!!! The dough was delicious thin and crispy with a nice chew. The crust was so good, drizzled with olive oil. The cheese and sauce were so good. And they use the good pepperoni. Chrissy's fan for life now!
Where do I even begin….Chrissy’s is a true neighborhood gem. They were on my radar since seeing them making pizzas out of their oven at home with Action Bronson and I tried to catch their late night menu at Superiority Burger so many times but always missed it. I first visited one weekend shortly after they opened their brick & mortar and waited on line to see if it lived up to the hype and let me tell you it didn’t disappoint! I tried the plain cheese pie and the pepperoni and became hooked. The slices are thin and perfectly crisp, the sauce is tangy and fresh, the cheese was quality, and their pies have my favorite crust in the city. Since my first visit I’ve come back 5 times to try different specials and every time they hit! There’s something so nostalgic about being in the shop as a VHS plays while you’re eating a slice and drinking a can of cherry coke. For many of us raised in the 80s and 90s this is a reminder of our simple childhood luxuries. Today the atmosphere was especially electric! I ordered the Big Chel’s special a pie with pickled ling hots, seasoned onions, and garlic. I added pepperoni as well to put it over the top. King Of New York was playing on the TV and the music was perfect. It took everything in me to not sit there and eat the entire pie as I basked in the ambience of the pizzeria. The staff is always helpful and attentive and I’ve had some amazing conversations with them about music and movies while waiting for my pies. When I’m in Greenpoint I’m getting Chrissy’s. At this point I might move there just to be closer. 10/10 can’t recommend enough! If you love pizza this is the place for you.
I ordered the pizza to go. The process is simple—you place your order on their website and pick it up at a designated time. For me, I ordered at 11:50am, and my pizza was ready by 12:45pm. I arrived right on time, and my pizza was waiting for me. I decided to eat one slice on my way to the train station. It was so delicious that I ended up having three slices during my walk. The pizza had a perfect crunch, with cheese and sauce proportions just right, and it had zero flop. Truly excellent. I plan to order two pies from this place for the Super Bowl. Highly recommended—you're definitely missing out if you don't try this spot.
Been coming here a lot. When you see photos of great NY pizza Chrissy’s is what that tases like. Flavorful but more aromatic than salty, flavor-dense sauce, rich cheeses, herbs. Crisp crust for everything to crumble off nicely. I like it a little under-done and they graciously comply with my request every time. Cool bunch o’ kids working there. Attracts a nice crowd. Chrissy’s is a special place.
I inhaled this pizza. I consider myself a pizza holic and legit this is the best pizza I have ever had in my life. Sorry to all the north Jersey ppl. Crispy, soft, delicious and all the hot oils, honeys. You can only fit about 2 couples in here eating. The small spot makes it tough to serve many at a time, dont expect a table and be ready to take your pie outside if needed. Saw a few ppl eat on a citi bike rack haha
This spot in Brooklyn is a cozy pizza joint, well known for its pies. You can't get slices here, so I recommend coming with a friend to try their pizza. Their menu is simple and my friend and I got their half and half special. The pizza was thin crust, crispy, and took a about 15 minutes to make. It was pretty good and definitely in my top three in NYC.
I’ve been meaning to try Chrissy’s for a while now. This weekend I got a chance to go there finally. I ate a lot of NYCs best pizzerias and Chrissy’s is up there with all the best of em. I got half regular and half banana peppers with soppresatta. Crisp, light, airy with just the right amount of tang on the sauce and perfect amount of cheese. The banana peppers gave a nice vinegary flavor that meshed well with the soppressatta. Already looking forward to the next time I’m in Greenpoint to get their pizza!
For anyone from NY/NJ - it's always getting tougher to distinguish the trendy vs actually good pizzerias... ...And I love Chrissy's. So refreshing to have someone execute old and new school styles in their own way and keep you marching to their drum. Their pies are exactly as advertised: thin, crispy, juicy...but above all - consistent. It feels like a nostalgic Sunday afternoon in there :) Their online pick-up option is also really convenient 👏🏽
Some of the best pizza I've had. The perfect balance of sauce, cheese, and paper thin crust. We got the vodka pie, half with Calabrian chili peppers, and it honestly was the best vodka pie I've ever had. Crust was well done on the outside and light and airy on the inside. Can't wait to get back.
I’ve been to this pizza spot a couple of times, and it’s excellent every single time. The crust is super thin and perfectly crispy, just the way I like it. The sauce is packed with flavor—rich, tangy, and clearly made with care. Definitely worth all the rave reviews. Just a tip: eat it right away while it’s piping hot—that’s when it really shines.
Chrissy’s feels like a breakout startup that just needs a bigger stage. I tried their jalapeño and garlic slice, and it was genuinely impressive. The slice folds perfectly, holds its shape, and nails the cheese-to-sauce ratio. The toppings get a nice char, the crust has a satisfying crunch, and the whole thing still manages to stay light. Think of it as a cross between L’Industrie and Lucali and Chrissy’s own magic. With the right execution, they could stand alongside the big names. The space is small and simple, not much happening in terms of ambiance, and you can expect a line during peak hours. The staff, though, is warm and welcoming, which helps offset the tight quarters. Overall, Chrissy’s is absolutely worth a visit. Solid 8.5/10.
I e been wanted to try this place after my bil told me about it - Pizza is thin and crispy. It’s def on my top 5 pizza places. If you’re trying to eat less carbs and like thin crispy pizza I feel like this is the spot. It holds well and flavors were really good. - I love how thin and crispy the crust is too. I usually avoid the crust unless it’s stuffed or pizza from Japan. When I think pizza it’s not this but this is def good and I’ll be back.. I can’t wait to try the other ones. Got it for take out but you know, you have to eat a slice as soon as you get it. But couldn’t just eat one lol and ended up eating two🤤
The pizza is great quality but the wait time and price point are absurd. Would love to see them expand to a larger space that doesn’t overflow 20+ people onto the sidewalk, using the citi bike station as their table. There’s also 2 other solid pizza spots within 2 blocks, skip the wait here and save some money.
