Best bonus is gracious staff. Great place to grab a coffee before catching the subway!
Great place for breakfast, friendly service, excellent egg & cheese muffin :-) and good coffee.
Great place and good food. I love starting my days here.
Really wonderful little local coffee and pastry shop.
Cute neighborhood caffè. WiFi. Love it. Coffee and a muffin or a crescent. Some tartes too. Don't miss it.
Good baked items, coffee and lattes are great and service is alway quick and courteous.
Delicious pastries and coffee. Super friendly and nice staff.
This place is super cozy and quiet. Delicious muffins and cookies here also !
A perfect breakfast experience. Great food, great prices, and friendly, prompt service.
I had a good experience the person at the counter was courteous and helpful with my order I picked up.
My favorite breakfast cafe. Good food and excellent service. Nice environment.
Iced vanilla chai🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️
Very cozy and friendly place on Bartel Prichard circle near Prospect Park. Good people, nice muffins and coffee.
They have fantastic Vanila Chai Latte. It's yummy. And the location is nice at the corner of Prospect Park.
It's better than Starbucks and all those places also the muffins are to die for and the vibes are wicked I love it here
Love this store! Perfectly located at this corner of Prospect Park. It's a great place for great coffee and tasty pastries. Service is always friendly and prompt. Thank you guys
Great breakfast spot with egg and cheddar bagels. Get it toasted! Also a great spot to sit in and do work. Quiet environment and friendly staff.
Great coffee and foods and vibes and service. Never failed to amaze me, I been coming here for years.
Definitely my spot for on the go muffins and coffee other pastries are a hit also . Lots of space for sitting and wifi works fast . Clean and chill environment
This coffee shop is what you want in your neighborhood. Fresh pastries, nice coffee and wifi. Friendly atmosphere
Great location to meet up friends, acquaintances; casual and not too loud. Nice ambience. Delicious cappuccino too :)
The ambiance is quite superb and the seating is exquisite given how how relatively close the park is. Highly recommend.
Yummy, but only if you don't watch your weight. Coffee is good there too.
Great spot to start your morning. Coffee, scones and croussants are awesome. A Gem in Brooklyn
Excellent white hot chocolate and coffee. Food is decent and service is always quick.
There’s a guy, student, who orders a coffee when it was freezing cold outside. But he realizes that has no money in his card. The employee pay for him. It’s made my day.
In the early spring of 2023 I frequented this CT muffin. I was like , I know Connecticut , I like muffins, let me understand this relationship better. Anyway , I was served my a young barista who had both charm and intelligence. My latte was frothe perfect. And my muffin did bring me back to the fall hillside towns of The nutmeg state. Thanks you
I miss this place. I used to go here as a teen almost 10 years ago now . I recently visited and everything was still amazing. I truly miss this neighborhood and Connecticut muffin!
Connecticut Muffin combines a welcoming atmosphere with excellent food and drink. Their iced coffee is spot on, and the muffins are fluffy and flavorful — the perfect start to any day.
Much better than expected food, has nothing to do with Connecticut lol. These guys are locals and making it all right here in Brooklyn. Go!
Excellent choice of freshly baked goodies, with gluten-free alternatives (Magic bar, and corn muffins). Make sure to try their House Blend coffee either iced or hot with your choice of milk!!! (Oat, Almond, Soy for non dairy!!) Clean and friendly spot !! Will be returning asap :)
A great coffee place with seasonal offerings. You can not only get good coffee here but also a great selection of cookies and breakfast sandwiches, too. During the winter they have soups. It's usually busy but the staff is good so the wait is not bad.
Nice cozy hipster cafe with everything you need to have some me time after a walk in prospect park. I love the bulletin board where local entepreneurs can post about events and services. Reminds me of Boulder... But then again I might just mean the kind of place educated privileged millenials like myself enjoy.
Wow! Love this place all around! The coffee, food, people and atmosphere, everything is spot on. Nice music, cozy eating area, just perfect! This is definitely my go to coffee shop 😍
Pastries were fresh, OJ freshly squeezed and coffee strong. Staff members were polite and efficient so I could see why the place was PACKED with customers. I love the location too!
Coming here for years!!Love this place.Very cozy, cofee is always great, sandwiches are also amazing! Its our neighborhood spot!So many memories here!!First dates were at this spot and now our kids come to get their croissant on the way to the park. Love love love this place
Quite surprised with the excellent quality of the pastries and the bagels! My wife enjoyed the chocolate croissant and I had an egg-bacon bagel, which was delicious! Good job Connecticut Muffin!
Decent food after a few laps with friends around Prospect. A bit on the pricier side for a bacon, eggs and cheese bagel, though. Might try something else next time.
After a long walk at the park my boyfriend and I were craving some coffee :) great options we loved the Spanish and Tiramisu Latte. This is going to be our spot from now on !!!!
If Chris Destefano can eat here, I sure can because he is a Prince and so CUUUTTTTEEE!!!
EXPENSIVE!!!!! I just love ❤️ this place! Fresh and tasty pastries and great coffee; attentive staff and friendly service with a great smile 😊 there’s a restroom ; unfortunately it has increased its prices (summer 3024) and that has put a dent in my patronage; I can’t see myself spending $11+ for large latte and a multigrain croissant (good but there’s a price I just won’t pay) on a visit ; I’ve cut my visits from several times a week to ONCE a week.
When the sun is out, it illuminates this busy welcoming spot. Great muffins and scones! Nice spot to work from computer.
Very good hot chocolate & chocolate bread ! But I didn't like the "Two eggs and cheese on a bagel"
Air conditioning on blast on a humid day. Ice coffee very organic and nice .Atmosphere wonderful
Great Food Stellar Hot Chocolate 👌👌👌 but Shakey service. IDK why but the workers come off scary. 🥺
Decent place to grab a cup of coffee and work, and there is almost always a place to sit. Wifi password changes weekly. Baristas range from really friendly to fairly cold.
The coffee is cheap and it is a warm and comfortable place. The location is also perfect, but the don't have wifi!
Great quick stop for all types of tasty pastries. Indoor & outdoor Casual seating available and great customer service.
often run of out ingredients for sandwiches but otherwise quick, well-priced, and lots of seating. good ginger cookies
The spiced chai lattes are fantastic, but sometimes they aren't hot enough, staff doesn't bring their A game every time
Great light in the morning with all sorts of people coming in to grab their morning energy booster. Staff is amazing! Love it!
In regards to their food, they have a good selection of different foods to eat besides muffins. They offer both lunch and breakfast. The bagels and muffins I had hear are pretty good for their price and I can see myself casually coming in and getting something quick over the counter. I remember my coffee drinks I got here were fine though I wouldn't rave about them. The think paired with the food here you can get a really nice meal. The inside of the place is very spacious with a lot of seating which is pleasant if you just want to hang somewhere. You can get a view facing towards the park.
Pleasant local coffee shop with a relaxed atmosphere and a communal feel. Wi-fi free during the week, but not at the weekends. Decent coffee and the usual baked goods and muffins. My cream cheese & smoked salmon bagel was tasty too. Communal noticeboard, magazines and a welcoming staff.
The interior decor is nice and cool. The service is great, people are friendly and love to answer any questions regarding their beverages. The store also makes sandwiches and coffee or latte's. The best part of the store is their their Chai latte. Really hot and smooth.
If I’m in the area, this is where I’ll get my coffee in the boat. Love the Panini and the coffee is good. Nice people work here and I can consider it one of the best local places for a start of the day.
This place appears really boring but the food is actually really good and if the older guy makes your coffee drink, it's perfect. Being friendly goes a long way here. It's warm and there's WiFi and usually never too crowded + outdoor seating. It's a neighborhood staple.
Decent cafe next to Prospect Park. I came in for a snack and to use their bathroom. While I've had better chocolate chip cookies in New York, theirs was not bad and the service was professional. Looking around it feels like a nice place to sit down for a break. I liked their upper seating area. Their menu also looked intriguing, but I had just had lunch, so I couldn't try it.
Great mocha latte made to perfection. The pastries are just meh.
Pretty good coffees and pastries. Great location and decent service.
Saturday morning service was definitely off its usual performance. My cappuccino was provided without the requested cinnamon and was also way too strong. The sandwich was also a little light on the tuna. Worst of all, the indoor garbage was overflowing, and the bathroom was an awful mess. It was definitely not as good as it was during the summer months.
Good food and pleasant atmosphere. It's a great place to sit and work. However, one or two of the female young ladies working behind the counter don't understand proper etiquette when a customer greets them with a friendly, "Hello". Instead of being greeted with a warm smile and salutation, a blank stare is usally present. Not good. Otherwise, great place to spend some time and have a cup of coffee, delicious sandwich or Hot, tasty soup.
The coffee here is great. It is unfortunate that management allows some neighborhood characters to lounge on the patio all day, and take up spaces that paying customers could enjoy. I would not feel comfortable going back here for that reason. It felt like Weirdo Central.
This Connecticut Muffin has been my favorite local coffee shop growing up and throughout my childhood; however, a few months ago, I was drinking an iced coffee I'd ordered from them on my walk home and almost swallowed a piece of glass that was at the bottom of my cup and came up through the straw! When I called them shortly after, I was pretty bummed to hardly get an apology and was told that "they don't use any items with glass in their shop so that would be unlikely for that to happen". I'm sorry to say I hardly stop by anymore after this incident.
Great place to meet up for a cup of coffee and a pastry. Very nice service staff. Also offered are various sandwiches and soups in the winter or smoothies in the summer. Refrigerator case full or juices, water, and other beverages, plus yogurt. Cash, credit or debit cards accepted. Wheelchair accessible entrance and seating. Outdoor benches also all year long. Easily visible from the road, but no parking lot or structure and only street side parking.
I used to go there for over a year convenient break place for YMCA work delicious muffins and such but they really need to work on appreciating the super community regulars; we are the ones that help your business; I/e if you are/were someone like me you tell them is your bday get excited for them; give a free sample like they sometimes do in the afternoon; Al those regular visits I finally did not really feel appreciated; I go to the other neighboring cafes nowadays. Please work on that; that’s how you keep and build relationships.
Previously I visited the place for several times and the coffee here was better. Today I did not enjoy my cappuccino, it was like hot milk, not a coffee
I love this place but the products they use to serve their coffee are inferior and not durable. Every time I buy my favorite coffee, the cups begin to leak and the straws collapse in a matter of minutes as they are not suitable for hot beverages. Ask clerks to double up on your cup if consuming a hot beverage or it will get very messy! CM, please do better and change your cup and straw supplier.
This place is super cozy. One of the best locations to sit and look outside and unwind. Food and coffee are great. My second experience was not too good as I left my pack and by the time I returned the staff gave it back but the cash and been lifted. So maybe not the most honest people
No wifi on weekends! No one told me before I purchased anything and wasted my valuable work time.
Apparently, in Connecticut they like their muffins dry and flavorless. If that's your thing, this place has you covered.
Nice guys working here but something as simple as a cup of hot chocolate is clearly out of their grasp. Watery, gritty... Guess I'll head home to make some Swiss Miss. 🤔
Their stuff is overpriced. EDIT Now that I read others, I realized they might have charged my card twice causing me to think their stuff is overpriced. The rating went down from 3 to 2 stars for me now.
Got a moldy morning glory muffin that was pink and fuzzy at the bottom. When I informed staff they didn't seem to care, apologize, or even make an effort to inspect the rest of the muffins.
Nice location nice coffee breakfast options. Male counter person was rude and disrespectful. I didn't see where the napkins were so I asked him where I can find napkins. He raised his voice and pointed saying" if you only look you will see them" I placed a generous tip after paying..wished I could take it back at that point..My first time there..would never return 😠
I went in for a cup of coffee and a croissant and I had called for my coffee before hand. Nothing serious, just a black cold brew. My coffee was made and my croissant was being toasted and unfortunately that’s when I saw flies in their counter section on top of the breads and croissants. Because it was already being toasted I didn’t make a fuss about it but got a cookie from the jar to add on just because I knew I wasn’t going to eat that croissant anymore. Please sanitize better, your food and coffee are great but I won’t be eating from here ever again. The customer service is always very welcoming
Sorry, the espresso was bad, I don’t think they know how to operate the machine to pull a proper shot of espresso.
The coffee tasted lame and was expensive. The service was very slow and the bathroom was nasty. I won't come back. There is another coffee shop three blocks away, better spend your money there.
The coffee was bad and for having muffin in the name, the pastries weren't good either. This place is only in business because of it's convenient location. I am sure there is better stuff around.
I bought two croissant yesterday and they charged my credit card for six. I went back within two hours to get my money back, they would not only not put me in touch with their manager, but instead behaved rudely to me. Day light robbery !!
Not worth $4:00 Dollars coffee is crappie. Starbucks doesn't even charge $4:00, Be nice to get Starbucks in this area. That way I don't have to walk to 7ave.
The food was good but overpriced but the cashier stole from me and put the change in the tip jar without asking.
Wildly overpriced “coffee” ordered an iced latte that cost just under $10 for me to taste like I’m drinking sewer water
I had one of my worst experiences in this shop. The workers are incompetent and give you the wrong orders. The male worker is rude, disrespectful, and nasty. They buy the bagels from somewhere else only to microwave. Oh wait, they didn’t even microwave mine and handed me the coldest and roughest bagel out there. Overall, the bagels and coffees are mediocre and overpriced. Save yourself a dime and go grab your coffee and bagel somewhere else.
Be careful if you do not pay attention. they will double charge your credit card. by the time you check your statement and go back to them to explain what happened. manager refuses to come to the phone. employee behave as if they do not know what happened. they would not refund you the money they charged accidentally.
If I could’ve given no star I would this lady makes a banana smoothie with strawberry liquid she said when I ask my daughter taste it didn’t like it and she said other kids like it but my kids is not like others and we said banana that mean banana she was very rude and she roll her nasty eyes I always stop by when I’m in this neighborhood I like this place but they need to careful choose who works for them. She’s the worst
Coffee is good service is good one star for horrible cups and lids. Can't walk anywhere without spilling coffee all over myself, infuriating.
The guy who works there is one of the coldest and meanest baristas in park slope. Never smiles, always cold. I’ve never met a more unfriendly person, and I can’t believe he hasn’t been replaced. The location and food are actually decent.
Not only is the service less than mediocre but the pricing is funny. Came here twice and the first time I noticed selective friendly treatment with other customers. Was never greeted, but others were who came in after me. Decided to try again today, won’t be back. I’m also SO interested to know how my bec went from $8.17 to $10.38. More than $2 tax on a bagel? That was literally dry. Interesting. when I kept asking to put butter on it, I was ignored by the older guy who looked at me and just stood there. When I went to pay the screen quickly went from $8.17 to $10.38. Interesting, all I can say.
The hospitality at this place is despicable. The older guy is so rude. He was yelling at an old lady to leave, I overheard she had knee issues and was sitting longer than intended while waiting for her ride. Absolutely zero compassion for a paying customer. I was also rushed to eat my food because it was already the 20 minute mark but there was NO ONE IN THE STORE!!!! Don’t come to this place. There’s so many other coffee shops nearby. Just go there. Don’t waste your time here. ***2025 Update. It appears this establishment still maintains to have an unacceptable attitude towards customers. Very rude demeanor given by employees. I ordered a flavored latte, when I received my item I informed the employee it did not have any flavor for which I paid for. After multiple attempts to fix it, another employee decided he would remake it and I kindly asked for him to put a little more since it lacked flavor when I had first received it. He got so annoyed and told his coworker to ring me up for extra. I told him I already paid for a flavored latte and shouldn’t be paying more since they had no issue fixing/remaking it the first time around. He ended up not charging me and the man got so upset, he walked out the store to smoke and was basically staring me down from the outside. I could literally see the smoke come out of his ears and quite frankly a little afraid for my safety at this point. I do not recommend for anyone come here. Ever.
