Opinions de El Nico Brooklyn
Pretty good environment and overall atmosphere. The place has a nice vibe, and it’s a solid spot to hang out, grab a drink, and enjoy the experience. Definitely worth checking out.
Great atmosphere and view of Brooklyn/Manhattan. Service was great too. Drinks were creative and tasted great. Food was good - ceviche was the best, but not depicted. (4/5)
I had a great dinner experience. The rooftop restaurant is eclectically designed with wood, stone, floral and latin influences. My server Axel was extremely attentive and made great recommendations. I thoroughly enjoyed the guacamole and the short rib “machete” shaped quesadilla. The Mango Old Fashion and their signature Margarita were second to none. Make this your Mexican cuisine go to in Williamsburg
Me and my friend had a great experience dining at elNico on a very cold Thursday bight in January. All the dishes we tried were tasty and flavorful from the elote to the guac & chips, the cauliflower tacos were amazing, the main fish dish (it was fried cod) really good. We also enjoyed their version of margarita. Nice and kind server, Bryceon and manager Arianna. The winterhouse set up outside was cool but way too cold to be there. Overall good experience.
Francisco, the manager, Joe, the bartender Bryson, the waiter Vincent the chef these are the most amazing people that I have ever met in the restaurant business. I love them. I love the atmosphere. I love the food. The drink drinks is on point. You don’t get no water down drink drinks Joe is the best bartender I’ve ever dealt with. They are so lovable and real people. I love it. You will love it too. Anybody looking for a nice spot in Brooklyn with a nice atmosphere. You got the roof
I’m surprised not many people know about this place, I think they need more advertising on TikTok! Loved the vibe, food, view, and service. The view outside was so beautiful, but as it got chillier at night we asked to move inside and they quickly found a table for us. Also, special thanks to Francisco for the service and for taking such amazing pictures of us on my friend’s birthday. Will definitely come back! :)
This place is 100% dog-friendly! I was pleasantly surprised when they gave us a spot right in the center of the restaurant.. it’s rare, since most places usually send us to the patio when we’re with our dogs. The space is cozy and beautiful, the service was a 10/10, and the atmosphere was just perfect. I absolutely recommend it and can’t wait to go back!
This Mexican restaurant has a lot of potential. The food and the view will blow you away, the service can be hit and miss. That said, we went several times during our stay at the hotel on which this reataurant sits, and we only had a bad experience once during peak times. Defnitely recommend the elote or the quesadillas, also they have orange wine
We were *obsessed* with our experience here. The food was incredible, the drinks were creative and delicious, and the views were stunning. The outdoor area fills up fast (we came in at 6:30 on a Tuesday and it was already full) but the covered patio area was just as nice. Whoever our server was in that area was such a gem. Such a lovely guy!
Delicious Mexican food with a view! Juan our server was so kind and attentive. We will be going back! And we’ll definitely be bringing our dog next time (they’re dog-friendly). We noticed the hostess didn’t have enough menus and had trouble keeping people from stealing tables outside. If she had a little more help, elNico would be a top tier Williamsburg restaurant!
We were looking for a drink spot in Williamsburg with a nice sunset view and we may have stumbled on the best one in the neighborhood. People were very nice, the outdoor seating comfortable, our margaritas excellent but the reason to come here is for the amazing views. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and it's breathtaking from just about any vantage point. Expect this to become impossible to get into as the weather warms up - also curious to try the food, which looked the part but we didn't have a chance to try.
I almost don’t want to leave a review for fear that this amazing secret Williamsburg place will become impossible to get in to. Wonderful interior design, really cool aesthetics, views to die for, and an instagrammers dream (even the toilets!). The food is exceptional. I forgot to take a pic of the menu so I can’t remember what my starter was called (a very tasty cheese on a big round taco). Gorgeous. Vegetarian soft shell tacos for the main were gorgeous and the Churros were a perfect way to finish off The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and attentive! Love this place and will definitely be back… often!
A lovely rooftop experience. We were able to enjoy the fall day from there. Wait staff were attentive and helpful. I wish there were more food options. There was a small menu when I was there. Also, we had to sit inside because someone had a dog that was allowed to run back and forth across the furniture where people were eating, and that was not okay with me.
Tried “all of the tacos” plate and it brought me back to Mexico City — fantastic flavors of various fillings plated beautifully on freshly-made and authentically-small (!) tortillas. Some were good, some were great, no bad ones. The drinks and guac were on point as well. Excited to come back try more things! Plus the views and the vibe, such a great spot.
The chicken was too salty. The guacamole was very fresh. The service was slow. The server asked me if I wanted chips for the guacamole at the end of the meal as he was clearing the plates. I said "yes" but then he brought the check and not the chips. He probably couldn't hear me because the music was too loud.
I was really looking forward to celebrating my birthday at El Nico, on Saturday May 3rd. Especially because the online photos showcased a beautiful ambiance. Sadly, the night didn’t live up to the hype. After being seated, we waited a solid 20 minutes before anyone came to our table. We were then presented with a limited taco menu, which was a surprise since my friends and I had researched the restaurant and were excited to try the entrées we'd seen online. When we finally asked our waitress about the full menu, she informed us that the chef had quit, leaving only tacos available. This was a huge disappointment, as I had been planning this dinner for three months. Since we were very hungry, we decided to order a few tacos and drinks. The tacos arrived in a reasonable time but were only decent , but the drinks took forever. Ultimately, we had to scramble to find another restaurant on a Saturday night, which was a hassle. Overall, my birthday dinner experience at El Nico was a letdown. The beautiful setting couldn't make up for the slow service, limited menu, and the chef situation. I’m bummed because I really thought it would be a better night.
It is with an immense amount of sadness to say that we did not have a good experience at elNico. Leading up to our reservation I had heard a lot of hype about this place, so going into it my expectations were high. It has the potential to be more than amazing, from the stunning Manhattan views, deliciously crafted cocktails, and flavorful Mexican food. Once we were seated (we had a res) we sat down at our table for about 30 minutes before anybody checked in on us. At this point, we still didn’t even get water which is the bare minimum. We had to go inside the main dining room to ask the bartender for drinks AND food. Once we sat down again they kept bringing out various dishes and cocktails that we didn’t even order. Once the food finally arrived, we still didn’t have any water so we asked for some. It was incredibly frustrating and I don’t think I will be back, unless some serious work can be done within the service department. Quality service is equally as important as the food and drinks in my personal opinion. I also want to quickly add that some of the drinks made at the bar seemed very skimpy… some glasses were only 3/4 full :/
