Opinions de Fascati Pizza Brooklyn
Cash only spot, thin crispy crust, no flop on the slice. Tried chicken parm hero, but chicken was crazy thin so would go with meatball hero instead
The best pizza in the WORLD. I'm biased, but I was raised on this stuff. Fascati for life!
Best Pizza in Brooklyn heights. Why tourists wait in line down the block at Patsy's and the other places, I do not know. Hey, what do the tourists know anyway?
The best pizza...love this place. So classic. Pass up the hipster joints and just get a couple slices here. The chicken parm sandwich is great too.
Great pizza. Convenient and quick for grabbing a slice. Like many other pizza locations in the area, they only accept cash as payment.
The best pizza in town. And by Town I mean New York City. Yes this is the best pizza in New York City. Likely the world.
Loved this place growing up, I’d escape and go get a pie!
We took my cousin from Napoli Italy here and he thought it was the closest thing to authentic pizza from Napoli. He loved it!
I used to live half a block away and this is a pizza you can eat everyday. Thin crunchy high quality family owned and operated for decades.
Great Brooklyn slice joint, pizza and sandwiches are both excellent. Hours are a bit sporadic but when it’s opens it’s always great
The pizza is excellent. Best in NYC. My son( age 9) loves a slice after school. I have been going there for 25 years. All I can say is "Awesome, thank you!"
I eat at Fascati's quite often when I'm in Brooklyn to watch the Nets play. I love the quality of the ingredients, the staff and the overall taste of the pizza. Hopefully, I'll be back sometime in June.My first memories of enjoying a special with my family started at this restaurant!
Ridiculously good Pizza, amazing meatballs for a fair and reasonable price. About the only complaint I can come up with is they didn't have the A/C on and it was hot. Great service and a family friendly atmosphere, even a street window for slices! If you walk across the brooklyn bridge as we did on our trip then head a few more blocks away from the beaten path and visit this place, you won't regret it!
On vacation and walked the Brooklyn Bridge then found this gem in the neighborhood. Best pizza I've ever had! Even took a couple of slices back to our hotel! Yummy 5 Stars!
I have been coming here since I was 6 years old! Have taken my college friends here! Been back and forth in the military and still get pizza from this memorable place! Amazing manager and the workers too!
Great, traditional Brooklyn pizza. They serve up a slice with that special "can't make it over the Rockies" New York taste. Might lose half a point for cash only and dinginess, but, nah... that fits right in)
Great Pizza always crispy. They make a great chicken cutlet hero with lettuce tomato oil and vinegar
Classic NYC pizza. Super fresh. They only have 2 pies out at any time, 1 cheese, 1 white., toppings added as you need it. No crazy combo pies that have been laying out all day.
Good pizza and good space. A place where you either take your kids for a cheap dinner or a hold you over kinda place. Yummy simple cheese slice.
This is the kind of neighborhood pizza place that makes Brooklyn great. No frills just great pizza. Pro tip: they deliver to Brooklyn bridge park!
Quality original nyc style pizzas, hero’s and salads are good good. Family oriented establishment and many local people enjoy the pizza. Clean not greasy slice of pizza.
this is my favorite pizza place in NYC. i came here like everyday in 2005 we i stayed at the st. george dormatory i could help myself. they have the best i went to one at the mall down the street but it was nasty. and since i moved back to MD theres no place like it. i came back in 2009 for my bday and my friend took me to another place but that pizza was nasty as hell so go Fascati u have the best pizza in NYC nobody got it like u. I cant wait to come up there this July for my bday, 7 days of Fascati pizza. i feel addicted.
l used to go to high school on Tillary St., and I would eat lunch here three times a week, that was over 30 years ago. I went there to visit some friends that lived in the area, and after 34 years, the pizza still tastes FANTASTIC after all these years!!!!
Good pizza. It’s a pretty short walk from my place which is really nice and the pizza is perfect for eating while walking. They only take cash so keep that in mind.
Great place for a quick bite. The cheese and pepperoni Pizza were delicious plus a crispy crust ...yum. Inexpensive we had a group of 10.
Great No frills place to grab an authentic NYC style pizza. Crust is on the thinner crisy side. Bring cash as they don't take card.
An archetypal (and totally foldable) OG New York-style pizza. Toppings are nothing fancy and it’s still cash-only, but there’s no better delivery pizza in the whole city than Fascati.
Stopped in over the holiday weekend while visiting NYC (Memorial Day) and had a slice of pizza! Amazing quality and service!
Awesome pizza , square slice and salads. The owner is the best and very friendly. And this pizzeria is a CASH ONLY!!!! theirs a atm across the street
Been feasting on Fascati’s slices, Baked Ziti, and Heroes for decades. Recently dropped by for a meatball parm hero… Chowed down on half the hero for dinner with sautéed broccoli n garlic… Delicious as always! Anyways, saw the old photos here of outdated prices, went back n took pics to update!
This is your good old fashioned neighborhood pizza joint. No gentrification, no fancy brick oven, just the Yankees crushing it on a small tv in the back and great Neopolitan, Sicilian, white and the best personal pan pizza around!! Not many places still serve personal pans, I've been having them here since the '90s when my husband went to Bklyn Law☺️
If you like thin crust pizza and I do you will love this joint. It’s unpretentious delicious Brooklyn pizza. I’d go on about it more and use exclamation points etc but I kinda don’t want it to get famous. You gotta go there and get a fresh slice and a soda and you’ll see.
Excellent customer service and even better food. Fantastic hospitality felt like i was in my mother’s kitchen. Pizza had no flop, sauce was on point and served piping hot. Would come back here 10 time out of 10. 10/10 must reccomend.
Small Old school pizza place, for sure the best in downtown - dumbo area, and probably one of the best in NYC. Don't waste your time or money going somewhere else. Maybe one of the few places that still got anchovies as a topping.
There are a lot of famous pizza places in this neighborhood but this one is just amazing and our personal favorite. The crew puts so much effort and care into making the pizza and they put cheese on the pizza at 4 different moments during the process. The staff is very friendly and the place has an authentic feel to it.
Best slice in Brooklyn heights, and maybe the only is you don't want to wait forever at the tourist places by the bridge. Prices are fair. Service is good. Seating is pretty good. I like their brew of root beer as well. It's unfortunate that the restroom isn't available anymore but the pizza is well worth that kinda minor sacrifice. 😋
I have been eating at Fascati since college and come back anytime I get a chance to, more than 10 years later. Can’t go wrong with their pizza, always consistent and always great. It’s a family owned and operated slice shop, that is a staple neighborhood spot in the ever changing Brooklyn Heights area. A must visit!!
When I was a kid growing up in Brooklyn Heights, we used to come to Fascati's for the most amazing pizza; we would hang out and watch the crowded area behind the counter, and they would happily tolerate the crowds of happy kids from the local public and private schools. I can't say how often I burned my mouth because I couldn't wait to taste the next bite, no matter how hot it was. I've gone back many times over the years and have been thrilled that it has remained, basically, the same - sure, the exposed brick is a little fernier than it used to be, but the pizza? Astounding. Outstanding. perfectly thin but chewy crust, just the right amount of cheese over their delightful sauce. One of the best slices in NYC. Yesterday I returned and was utterly delighted to find that, not only had it not changed, but neither had the guy making the pie. When my wife told him what I just told you, he beamed ear to ear, and took especial pride as he handed over the to-go pie. We sat in the car and could not help but scarf down our slices. This morning, nursing a burned mouth, I have to say Fascati is one of the few places I can go and recreate - with total fidelity - my favorite childhood and teenaged treat.
This place is not as famous as it's well known neighbor, you know the one, under the Brooklyn Bridge. But unlike their famous competition, you can get slices here. The slices are not thin and are not thick, they just right. The slice is crispy for most of the bites but subsides to chewiness towards the perfect golden crust, agian just right. The ratio of sauce and cheese is spot on, bubbling with nice amount browned and gooey spots of mozzarella. I love their simple menu, $3 cheese slices with $0.75 per topping. I like the pepperoni, they use the small thick kind here, the ones that turn in to tasty little cups. And all the slices come from a fresh pie. No glass case here filled with unending old pies. Cheese slices are ready to go, never more than a cheese pie or two behind the counter for freshness. Only need to heat slice to warm a custom topping. You can get a whole fresh pie as well, which I suggest for groups. I've never seen it too crowded here. But sorry locals this place is great and deserves more business.
Love, love, love this place! Best pizza at a great price in Brooklyn Heights. Nice place to relax and enjoy a slice or two! Classic NY pizza, would recommend to anyone visiting the area. I lived in Brooklyn Heights for nearly a decade and this was my go-to spot. Highly recommended for anyone wanting famous NY pizza without overpaying for the notoriety of the concept!
Fascati -- The first time I went was so long ago but it is still as good as ever. Old-school New York pizza at its best! Although Gourmet Pizza on Clark St used to be better.. years ago.
Love the pies , always with the perfect crust and right amount of everything! Fascati has been making our “Pizza and a Movie Night “ special for years, a weekly appointment we look forward to. We could not be more thankful to have them in the neighborhood .
Great place for a classic slice of NYC pizza. $2.75 for a slice of cheese, I'm always in an out within a few minutes. Can get crowded with limited seating, so plan to take it to go. Definitely a must if you're in the area looking for a quick, cheap, simple bite!
This pizza was delicious and fresh. My girlfriends and I walked across the Brooklyn Bridge (which was amazing on its own) and then stopped for pizza on our way back because it's Soo close to the bridge and the subway into the city. The gentleman behind the counter was very nice and patient with us, and the pizza was delicious. Definitely would go back. We had half cheese half pepperoni and watched them make the whole thing. Classic thin pizza with a flavorful sauce and lots of cheese.
Classic New York pizza place. As a native New Yorker I really appreciate the business these guys run. The price of a slice is pegged to the cost of a ride on the subway. Their ricotta pies are amazing, as is the Fascati Special. And don't skip the made-to-order calzones!
I grew up eating this pizza and it never disappointed! My uncle lived around the corner on Pineapple St. From 1969 until 2003 I spent plenty of time at Fascati, definitely one of the best slices in Brooklyn.
This is a must go in Brooklyn NY. The Neapolitan with pepperoni🍕is my go to. Is thin, soft, charred crust and crispy bottom. The Sicilian pizza is thick, airy, square or rectangular (like focaccia) fluffy and crisp bottom. Both options are delicious 😋 They accept now credit card 💳 no more only cash 💵
I love this Pizzeria .Staff is very wonderful and very nice, and the pizza is great along with the rest of the food. And it is an amazing place to eat.Minutes from the promenade.
Really good classic nyc style pizza. I got the cheapest slice which was the non Sicilian one, and it’s the one that’s flat and crisp. It was good and not too oily. I got two and it was very filling. I’d go there early because they ran out of the Sicilian, so they must run out of the popular slices when it gets late
I AM 71 AND GREW UP IN THE HEIGHTS.THE OWNER STARTED AT QUEEN PIZZERIA ON COURT STREET.THEN OPENED UP HIS OWN PLACE I HOPE TO GO BACK SOON.THE FOOD WAS GOOD BACK THEN AND NOW.IT IS OLD SCHOOL
Worth the carbs, every time 🍕🔥 The crust was perfectly crisp, the cheese was melty and the sauce had just the right amount of tang. I tried the cheese pizza and it had great flavor with a little kick. Super satisfying—definitely coming back for another slice!
Fascati Pizzeria is a true Brooklyn gem! Classic NY-style pizza done right—crispy crust, tasty sauce, perfect cheese. No gimmicks, just delicious, honest pizza. Fast service, friendly staff, and a cozy, old-school vibe. A must-visit for any pizza lover!
I went there after a rough day and boy oh boy did this pizza brighten up my day! This pizza is some of the best pizza my taste buds have ever touched. When I walked into the store, I saw a clean floors and walls, clean tables, and a beautiful Italian atmosphere. And the service here is even better! I would definitely come back here again best pizza in New York!
$4 slices (at the time of writing) with a walk up window. Sure, if you’re looking for a fancy brick oven pizza with trendy toppings — this ain’t it, but for a quick and dirty greasy NYC pizza this is a good option. Oh and they also now accept credit card. Lot of old reviews mention them not doing that.
Some Of the best pizza in Brooklyn! I used to eat lunch and dinner here several times a week years ago. I miss this place. You can't go wrong with a true NY style pizza and pepperoni is the best. I Love Fascati's, it was a large part of my life as a young man in Brooklyn. Buy their pizza!
Took my pizza loving boyfriend to NY for the 1st time. We got hungry and pizza is always amazing in NY! So, we stopped in for some pizza 2 slices for about $8… yikes. Nevertheless, it. Was. FANTASTIC. I haven’t been home in years but as soon as I took a bite… it was like I never left. It was so damn good. My boyfriend loved it needless to say.
A limited selection, pretty much just plain pizza and some toppings. Fascati makes a near flawless regular slice. $3 and no flop at all. The dough is perfect, as well as the sauce. The sauce is flavorful, not too sweet. The cheese tasted a bit weird at first but I think it may have been a fluke. Overall, this pizza is wonderful.
Old school pizza 🍕 $4 a slice but they do deliver..
Great place to get pizza. They offer other food items but I have only tried the pizza. Service is very friendly. Prices are reasonable.
A classic New York slice. Crisp, nearly cracker-like crust. If you yearn for the old days, this is your choice.
Great pizza, sub-par service and they close at random times when you'd expect thwm to be open. But I don't go for the conversation so I always leave happy.
Fascati is a great place to grab a slice. It is New York style pizza, so nothing fancy but their sauce is good and the pizza is always fresh and not greasy as others from similar places They have other plates that are pretty good too. I usually take my 9 year old son to Fascati to get 1-2 cheese slices. It is cash only and it doesn't have a bathroom.
Stopped in for a slice, and came out very impressed with the quality of the plain pizza . Its thin crust and 2.50 one of the better slices I've ever had.
3.5 stars. Really great price for average pizza. It's your best bet in Brooklyn Heights, but I wish there was more sauce with more flavor and fresher toppings. Still, not bad.
We get delivery, alway good, always fairly quick, and cheaper than the competition in the area... Brooklyn Heights/Dumbo area. the salad is good also, basic but good. I really don't know how to rate their decor, but Google is making me! But the pizza is great! Never know when they are open though.
This pizzeria offers the classic delicious New York slice with fresh mozzarella and house made red sauce. This isn't a fancy place, but it is comfortable, clean and the staff are courteous. I'm not sure how long Fascati has been around, but I know that my first slice here was decades ago.
If you like a crispy slice then look no further! Great low-key little place serving some really solid pizza. I’d give it 8/10. The base is just special. It’s almost like fried toast in its texture but still keeps that fresh doughy flavour. The topping and sauce is a little forgettable but sprinkle it up with plenty of added seasoning and enjoy that crisp!
The sauce was tart, the crust was too thin for a NY pizza. Overall it's ok. Convenient location, not worth a 'return visit'.
Incredibly mediocre pizza. Went twice because I was in the area but both the cheese and the pepperoni slice were bland and tasteless.
- New York style pizza starting at around $17, but each topping costs up to $4 additionally. - Service was rather uninviting and waiting time was ok - Very clean and there was even free hand sanitizer available - A bit small and cramped
Pizza is great - except it's frustrating having to wait for it. There seems to never be a pie ready, and there are always 6 in the oven. So as long as you don't mind the wait, this is a great spot.
Crispy crust almost bordering on thin slice - great service and affordable. I enjoyed the pizzas - the plain cheese is their best.
The pizza was pretty good. I was still hungry but only had $1.50 left as this place is cash only. They have garlic knots for 4/$3 but wouldn’t sell me two of them. In fact, when I asked, the employee was pretty rude about it.
Pizza is good but a plain slice is now $3.75. That's literally the most I have ever paid for a plain slice. While the quality is good it isn't good enough to justify the prices. Especially when there are equally as good places that charge $2.75 just blocks away.
Pizza is nothing special, but the sodas branded with the restaurant's name are delicious. They have black cherry, cream soda, and root beer. I took a star off because the manager told me they don't have a restroom my 6-year-old can use after we ate there, and it was clear it was a lie. I really hate NY restaurants that do that.
Yall need to remove the website from your google page or honor the prices posted on it. Saying "we don't have a website" and charging me $5 more than I expected is a bad look. Also didn't tell me to bring cash on the phone when I ordered so I had to go back home and get cash. Pizza was good not great.
Fascati's is my neighborhood slice joint and I wish I was in a position to offer a more favorable review but it seems like they've shifted focus onto saving costs (which kills the quality) Pros: Service is quick (its a slice joint), decor is very clean, and the staff is friendly. Cons: Their pizzas don't cut it. Between the hard crust (unproofed dough), the bland cheese and sauce, and the cardinal sin of adding the pepperonis when reheating the slice (instead of when they cook the pie - to save money) Pizza Score (8/20pts - POOR) Crust 1/5 - Too Dense and flavorless - tasted un-proofed. Cheese 2/5 - Nothing special. Just inexpensive mozz. Sauce 2/5 - Just very neutral - again, they're using cheap tomatoes without much spice or salt. Ratio 3/5 - The 3 ingredients were balanced - but the ingredients lacked.
Pizza is advertised as $15 a pie but it's actually $20. Ordered a regular and pepperoni. Had to wait an extra 10 mins after I got there to pick up. Probably the worst pizza I've had.... crust was like cardboard and pizza had no flavor
Fascati's used to be one of my go to pizza places. However, over the years they've slowly increased their prices more and more. Now, it's 3 dollars for a plain slice, and 3.75 for a pepperoni slice! Absolutely ridiculous.
Locals will tell you it's amazing, maybe it's lost its luster because I've given it multiple tries and it's just average to mediocre every time. Updating: I’ve been here 5+ times and it’s just not very good pizza. Cheese and sauce are fine but the crust might as well be frozen pizza level. Baffled by the love it gets and wish I could agree.
It’s a great slice shop. They need to instruct staff to wash hands or wear gloves. The guy rang me up and took my money and made change then used his bare hands that were just making change to put pepperoni on my slice. No hand washing. No gloves.
I’d love to review their pizza but every time I’ve stopped in, they don’t have pizza. Any time after 7:30 PM they don’t seem to have slices available which is odd because they close at 9.
Cheese pie pizza and pepperoni pie pizza was not even cheesy. First slice was good but on the second and third slice you start to taste very little cheese and sauce, you feel like you're eating mostly dough/bread. I would not buy pizza here again. I expected this pizza shop that's been around since 1971 to be the bomb, but it was not special at all. Beware, their menu prices on the internet is not accurate, you will be charged more.
It seemed incredible that a Family restaurant in Brooklyn NY- and also tourist doesn't have a restroom available and beside pay cash (?) only. Yes, it is for real. We had to run looking for restroom for the kids then for ATM machine. .....Disappointed.
I have no problem eating bad pizza but when they are also rude I feel entitled to give a bad review... what is you’re deal, staff that works from 8:30 onwards.... be better when it comes to customer service
1. My favorite pizza. 2. The pizza I look forward to the most. 3. An almost emotional connection to this pizza 4. The most awesome delivery guys. BUT YOU DONT ANSWER YOUR PHONE ON A SATURDAY NIGHT?????? I WAITED ALL F*%€+#G WEEK FOR THIS AND YOU DON’T EVEN HAVE AN ANSWERING MACHINE TO TELL YOUR CUSTOMERS YOU ARE CLOSED OR TOO BUSY TO ANSWER??? It’s almost 2020 guys!!!
the most horrible customer service, probably ever. ordered delivery (which was a block away) and the worker on the phone was extremely rude. After an hour and 15 minutes of waiting we called back to see if they were going to deliver it soon and they hung up on us! The delivery guy was the rudest interaction I’ve had with a worker ever. love this pizza but the customer service is quite horrendous.
