Opinions de The Binc Albee Square
5/5 After attending an evening at "THE BINC", I speak for all of us when I say I will not be "THE BAC". Following a scrumptious supper at Elephant District down the way (ask for Kay; she is sure not to disappoint), I fancied a night cap before the winter storm bore down. I made my way to THE BINC expecting for a reprieve from the DUMBO gales. Little did I know --- I was the DUMBO for believing THE BINC would bring me what I needed. The interior was well-appointed and dimly lit and my heart aflutter for a sipper. The menu captivated - an array of "CRAFT COCKTAILS" and a special offering of warm drinks to revive my cold heart. With glee, I chose the "hot toddy" from the kind bartender. The drink was quickly and thoughtfully prepared, leaving me randy for a sipper. As I brought the goblet to my gullet, my heart fell. It bore an odor of armpit, exacerbated by the STEAMY temperature from which it was served. My nose quickly swelled from the odor. Not one to be deterred, I pressed on. The taste was acceptable. I must admit, dear reader, I took several minutes to finish imbibing - to complete the sipper was not an easy task with my nose becoming the sauna for the remnants of an onion gone wrong. Following my trial, I pondered another swell, but neither the lively crowd nor the well-appointed interior could keep this soiree a-churning. A less kind bartender ushered me out and I managed to squeeze to the commode before I departed - A+ for roominess and decor! All in all, THE BINC could be great but its odiferous toddy kept it just fine. Dear reader, should you attend, do not opt for the "BO" - lest you be "PO'ed" by the eighteen-dollar price point! ;)
A group of colleagues and I ventured into downtown Brooklyn and ended up at this spot. We were some of the first to arrive. Initially, it was quite dark- making it very difficult to read the menu but creating a sultry and mystique vibe. The menu in and of itself is a vibe. The cocktails are a vibe in and of themselves. The alcohol pairings leave much to the imagination, especially the imagination of this creature of habit who is stuck on margaritas. I was quite tempted to dip in this sea of interesting creations. Lucky for me, this establishment offers a “bartenders choice” option. The bartender will custom create a drink for you based on preferences in liquors and mixers or in my case- since a margarita was not on the menu, the bar tender created one for me. And babyeee…that drink DID NOT disappoint! Lost count after the third one. After this experience, every margarita will be held to a whole other standard. The food is a whole other vibe. The options are insane! I wound up with the chicken sandwich. Dee-lish! Fried chicken breast in a brioche bun with a dirty martini aioli sauce😋😋😋. Keep in mind this sandwhich is huge. Cut it in half and take the rest home for later. My friend ordered the wings. I LOVE that these wings had sauce but remained crunchy. The sauce they use is indescribable. Just out of this world Dee-lish. In fact, my friend ordered a second order. Be sure to meet Blue and Nikolai. Blue is the sweetest, friendliest, trendiest…I could keep going. Her energy is unmatched. She broke down the liquors in the shots our table received. Nothing I’ve ever tasted. Sweet and Smokey. Despite I’m not into brown tequila it caught my attention. In fact, I ordered another shot with the other half of the concoction…yummy. Nikolai- was very friendly, attentive and did his best to answer questions about the history of the building. The fellas at the bar with their beautiful beards are quite the site to behold. Very sexy. This place fills up quickly. Be sure to get there early enough to get a good seat. This place definitely does not disappoint.
My husband and I stopped in on a whim before heading back home to Jersey—and we’re so glad we did! We only had drinks, but they were absolutely extraordinary. This place is more than just a bar—it’s an experience. Watching Daniel, the bartender, craft each cocktail with such precision, skill, and grace was like watching a true artist at work. It was a phenomenal show from start to finish. We’ll definitely be back!
Top-Tier Cocktails & Even Better Service The Binc is an absolute gem for cocktail lovers. The drinks were crafted to perfection—balanced, creative, and full of flavor. But what truly made the experience stand out was the bartender: incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the craft. It’s rare to find that kind of warm, personal touch these days. Whether you’re after a classic or something more adventurous, The Binc delivers with style and heart. Can’t wait to come back!
Went here Saturday night and had such a good time. Cocktails were amazing, vibe was on point, and even though it got packed, everything came out super fast. The staff was really attentive and friendly too. Just an all-around awesome place - definitely recommend it!
Nice vibe, they share a kitchen with a great Italian restaurant next door so the food is delicious and definitely a couple of levels above your typical bar menu. The lighting is comfortably dim, candles add a romantic atmosphere, music is chill and stimulating at the same time. good selection of lounge tracks hand picked by the staff and is not so loud that you cant have a conversation.. playlist is hand picked by the bartender/dj. last but not least: amazing cocktails, very creative and some are truly unique, bartender Soso is an artist and I don't ever want to go drinking anywhere else. He deserves a Michelin star. My partner and I both highly recommend that you check this place out at least once - I guarantee you will become a regular.
The cocktails, food, service and ambiance were all fantastic! I feel like we found a new neighborhood gem! The mushroom flatbread was so delicious and I will be coming back for it specifically! I also love that they serve (real good) food late! The cocktails were inventive and delicious - I had a difficult time choosing just one!
Came here as an anniversary date and made it just the tail end of happy hour. It was perfect. For main we ordered shishito peppers, grilled chicken sandwich, short rib flat bread, siracha wings, and elote fries. Everything was absolutely delicious and portion was so reasonable. The service was lovely and the space is dark and perfect for the occasion. I highly recommend this little neighborhood bar.
Super cool place with great aesthetic! Popped in for a drink after dinner down the street and it was a great choice. One friend had the bartender’s choice, another was hoping for an espresso martini and both were extremely pleased. I asked for 2 different cocktails that are a bit unusual but the bartender Soso didn’t bat an eye and made them spot on! Great vibe, great cocktails, wish I lived closer to come back more often.
Great bar! Lots of antiques making the space quaint and fun. Billy Crystal and a few of his friends were there for hours all night. Didn't order a single thing. Didn't leave bartenders or staff a tip. Was pretty funny to hear someone specially reserved a table for entire night and didn't leave a dime or order even a glass of water. No one paid any attention great bar to see locals and have a low key yet fun night out. Food and staff, bartenders are great. Know the place well and can keep you laughing with various facts about the establishment. Highly recommend.
A great place for a date Stopped here on a Tuesday after 5:00. The cozy place has a simply wonderful atmosphere. Service was very friendly. The excellent appetizers & other light meals are provided by the adjacent Italian restaurant. The place got nearly full by 7:00. With "happy hour" the 2 vodkas, 2 beers & 2 appetizers came to $75. Quite pricey, but it still was a fun splurge.
The food was amazing, the ambiance too although the service was absolutely awful. I’m not sure if it’s because my partner and I were the only people of color in the restaurant but he was so rude. He did not offer us any sort of service and we had to go up to the bar to order our food. I’d come here again because the drinks and food were great !! but the tall white male server with brown hair was disappointing and disrespectful.
This place could be the definition of the word “quaint”. Absolutely well tailored vibes in a simple atmosphere with really nice drinks and a fine beer selection. Low lit interiors here call for a good chat and a good drink. If it wasn’t for the terrible service from part of the person in charge of the bar, this place would easily have five stars, perhaps too much of an ego can cost a lot to the overall perception of what an establishment has to offer. The barback on shift made some great cocktails for us and has a great taste. (Any opinions about the bartender are not based on any conflict, we genuinely did not feel taken care of and slapped around.) Lovely place, you should go! :D
