Opinions de Luke's Lobster Brooklyn
This remains one of my absolute favorite spots in the city! This was my 3rd or 4th time visiting, and the experience is incredibly consistent—it is always good. The lobster roll is an absolute must-try. The meat is incredibly delicious and fresh, served perfectly chilled with just a hint of lemon and butter on a toasted bun. Every bite is simply yummy. Beyond the food, the staff is very friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. Pair that with the great location, and you have the perfect New York meal. I’ll definitely be back for a 5th visit soon!
Best lobster roll I’ve ever had. And the two wonderful ladies running the spot are great!
The Lobster Roll is phenomenal as always. 😃👍Great service as a plus as well.
The food was amazing! The lobster bisque was just perfect for the winter weather. The staff (especially Tracy) were very friendly and accommodating.
Incredible experience in NYC. Best lobster sandwich we’ve had during the entire trip, excellent service and you gotta meet the manager, Tracy, who was very kind and attentive with us. Don’t miss this opportunity right next to Brooklyn Bridge!
The Luke’s Lobster is somewhat expensive but they do make super super delicious lobster rolls. They are super generous on the lobster portion. If it says 6 oz it is 6 oz. We ordered Truffles Butter Lobster roll. Oh wow that was delicious. It came with a bag of chips for $35 (6 oz of lobster roll).
I believe it when they say it's New York's best lobster roll. It's like a whole lobster on there, buttery delicious, and they give you some chips that kick the experience up a notch. If you're visiting the Big Apple, take a walk across the Brooklyn bridge and stop in for some fantastic food. Then go across the street for a cold sweet treat.
The absolute BEST lobster roll I've ever eaten!! Spending summers in Cape Cod--they didn't get this good--I was blown away with the portion and the flavor! Nothing but pure, unadulterated Maine lobster meat on a very lightly toasted bun..some Old Bay seasoning and a hint of mayo..melt in your mouth delectable heaven..and the local cold beer on tap leaves you blissfully full.
Rolled in for the the Lobster bisque and lobster roll on. Food was on point! Staff super friendly l. Thank you Shamel!!
If you're looking for a lobster bun to munch on, check this out. They have one of the best lobster bun around New York. It may look simple (A bun, lobster topped with pepper - thats it!) but it was a bomb. You can really taste the juice of it and the tenderness of it was superb. It may be pricey for a bun but who cares as long as you enjoy it and it makes your tummy happy right? I usually go for the trio or just the lobster bun, it depends on my mood.
The lobster bisque and the lobster roll were both fantastic. The lobster bisque was fresh, warm, and had plenty of lobster meat in it. The lobster roll was delicious, meaty, and had a crunchy, buttery roll to go with it. Some salt and vinegar chips tasted great with it. Great views, great food!
I visited this place because of the fantastic view of the Brooklyn Bridge and it was not disappointing. But the lobster roll was everything I imagined it would be; so soft and buttery. Just wow. I try to visit different sites each time I visit NYC, but I will be returning to Luke's Lobster every visit no doubt. Thanks for existing!
Been getting lobster roll here for years, consistently been great. Not cheap, but definitely satisfying. The whole family loves this place, for kids they used to have hotdogs-now stopped, may have been seasonal item. Their draft beer is impressive, and if you have get a table while there even better-I typically stick to plain lobster roll, however they have other variations of it as well-which I heard good things on (spicy, honey lobster roll, etc).
Fantastic place for real fresh seafood. Hands down recommend the lobster roll. Seasonally they get some nice menu items like the snow crab roll. The crab roll and shrimp roll are good as well. Can generally get your dinner for under $20-$25. The line may look long at times but it goes by very fast. The chowders are great too! Can’t really go wrong here. Give it a try!
On our way to the Paloma Mami concert, all the way from Northern NJ, we decided to do a little sightseeing before the show. After checking out a few spots that didn’t quite catch our attention, my niece spotted Luke’s Lobster — and what a find! From the moment we ordered, Chelsey was friendly and informative, Arturo prepared our food to absolute perfection, and Tracy, the store manager, made the experience truly special by sharing a bit of the brand’s history and making us feel right at home. Thank you, Luke’s Lobster team — we’ll definitely be back! 🦞💙
Cheeky Luke advertises having the best lobster rolls of New York City... and we agree 😁 Haven't tried every establishment but these rolls are very good (and very pricey). Situated directly underneath the Brooklyn Bridge lends for nice views and a visit to Dumbo. Really wouldn't have want to miss this little pearl on our NYC trip.
Love the lobster roll and the clam chowder at Luke's at the Brooklyn Bridge Park! There was a line to order but service was quick and easy. We were able to get a seat inside - where it was so warm and cozy. Shout out to Tracy and her team - thank you! 11.12.25
The warm butter lobster roll is one of the most delicious and scrumptious things I’ve ever eaten in my life. The lobster is juicy and cooked to perfection, the seasoning is just right, and the roll is pretty much perfect. Yes, it’s expensive. But no one is putting a gun to your head. Treat yourself to this if you’re in the area.
This little spot caught me by surprise. I’ve been to the Brooklyn Bridge before but never noticed this place. Here I got there trio special (2.oz each shrimp, lobster, crab roll) and it came with a bag of chips. My girlfriend got the 4oz lobster roll combo which comes with a drink and a choice of any side. Overall the rolls where DELICIOUS!! The only complaint I have is they are a bit pricy but that was expected (lobster rolls aren’t cheap anywhere) and the wait wasn’t long at all. This is your spot if you’re looking for good quality food with a view!!
So! Yummy! Came in March and there was no wait! Staff was so friendly and sweet. Food was amazing and I think it’s a great deal! $28 for a lobster roll and it comes with chips and a drink and it’s way better than anything I've had from the west coast. Would definitely recommend if you’re visiting NY.
Tracy and Chenai were the absolute sweetest!! This was my first time visiting NY with my mom and they were even helpful with providing directions to where we were going. The lobster roll with truffle butter is by far the best, and don’t forget to try the lobster bisque. You will not be disappointed!! Tracy reminded me of my family by her hospitality! Please please go and visit.
It's a sweet cozy place. You order from the counter outside. Very limited seating is available. There was no rush when we went so we ordered and sat inside. The lobster rolls were nice but what we absolutely loved was the clam chowder which warmed us up after coming in from the chilly weather outside. The staff were lovely and attentive.
This place feels thoughtfully put together. The environment is calm without feeling empty, and everything seems to move at a comfortable pace. Nothing feels rushed or disorganized. The staff presence feels natural and professional, which helps the whole space feel balanced. It’s the kind of place that leaves a good impression without trying too hard to stand out.
Incredible Lobster Rolls – A Must-Try Under the Brooklyn Bridge These were hands-down the best lobster rolls I had while visiting the area. I came with six friends, and everyone absolutely loved them. We tried a flight of different varieties, and every one was delicious—the hot honey was our favorite, but honestly, they were all outstanding. I also ordered a full-size crab roll, which was super fresh and flavorful, but the lobster rolls truly stole the show. The service was friendly and fun—our server had a great sense of humor and made the experience even better. Each roll comes with chips and a drink, which adds a nice touch. Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but it’s lobster and crab, so it’s expected—and worth every penny. The location is unbeatable, right beneath the Brooklyn Bridge with a park nearby where you can sit and enjoy the view. I’d come back a hundred times if I could!
First time at this location and it was absolutely amazing. I had the lobster roll and calm chowder, and it was perfect. The young lady Tracy was a true Gem. She took our orders with and smile and such a great friendly disposition. In this world we need to give more thanks to hard working individuals that provide great service. I only wish the place was bigger. Will return back soon
This is my go-to lobster takeout spot near the Brooklyn Bridge! The location is perfect — right by the river, giving me great vibes to walk around with my food. The lobster is so fresh and sweet, especially paired with the soft bun. I love the mini set that comes with 3 different sauces — each one has its own delicious flavor. The clam soup is also amazing. Everything together makes the perfect combo. A must-try if you’re in the area!
Good, wholesome, fresh pieces of lobster in your rolls - not shredded or mixed with mayo! Tasty. Expensive though for a grab-and-go place! About $30 for only a 4 ounce roll plus I think around $45 for an 8 ounce roll.
Grabbed lunch here yesterday (Sat aft) and it was a great spot to grab a delicious lobster roll and clam chowder. Freshly made with heart and soul. A bit of a line, but it moved fast and our order was fulfilled in less than 10 minutes. Lots of outdoor seating options in the surrounding park area. Liked it better than the crowded TimeOut marketplace just to the east. Though that has a lot of good dining options, it’s way too crowded for me. If you love lobster, go here and be happy.
For the past 2 years or so, this was my favorite spot to hit when my girlfriend and I would take a walk near the bridge. The food was delicious and the prices were fair. A lobster roll was $15 and you could add a bag of chips, and a drink all for $18. It even came with a pickle. I have told countless amounts of people about how great it was. I had a minor surgery last year and when I finally came to well enough to remember, all the nurses were laughing telling me I must be starving, because in my incoherent babbling after waking up all I could talk about was how you got all that food for $18! Well, we went yesterday for the first time this season and I'm extremely sad to say the prices have jumped about 27%. The lobster roll is now $18 and the combo now costs $23. Oh, and pickles are no longer included unless you specifically ask for one. Very disappointing. My girl and I used to have a delicious meal for $38. Yesterday's bill was over $50 for the same thing. I don't think I will be back as often as I once was. I should have known, all good things come to an end.
Could be considered a little expensive but it is one of those very unique and rather special ‘New York’ experiences that is worth the price. The food is nice and the menu although limited is very appropriate for what the place stands for. I went in winter when the few seats inside the restaurant were a sanctuary from the cold and the warm food was like manna to my freezing, weary soul. A delicious meal followed by a walk around the area for some iconic views of the city is quite priceless in my humble opinion. Definitely recommended.
took my seafood-loving boyfriend here for his bday and he loved it! i don’t like seafood but i was fine with the clam chowder. insane prices tho of course haha
The lobster roll was nice, and with the Jumbo you get quite a lot of lobster meat, although it needed either a bit of melted butter or a bit of mayonnaise for moist and seasoning. The lobster Mac and cheese didn't have much taste or lobster so it was quite bland. Overall everything needed a little bit of seasoning and was a bit pricey for what you get.
EXCELLENT lobster rolls, great location, but very RUDE and hapless staff! I ordered a lobster roll and a crab roll with my girlfriend for takeout - the first time, everything went smoothly and we were on our way. The lobster roll was so good that I returned for a sampler, but was told rather bluntly that I could not pay with my card because something is wrong with their payment terminal. I was told to withdraw money next door. Due to huge commissions, I did not want to do that, so I asked for another lobster roll instead and asked again if maybe I could pay with my card. This time, the man who took my order looked at the machine and said (rather reluctantly) that I could - very strange… Half an hour goes by and I return to buy a beer, but the same man tells me “sorry we are closing in 15 minutes, I can’t sell you beer”. What gives? There was a couple waiting in line behind me and he seemed to serve them just fine. I suspect that the treatment I got is the result of me not having tipped when ordering the first time. Shame! There is no expectation to tip when ordering takeout. EDIT: thank you Tracy for your reply. I will increase my rating by a star for your handling of the situation! Can’t award more for the food, as it’s already the best lobster roll I have ever had :)) (love the abundant claw meat!)
This location is really nice esp when the weather is nice, they have outside seating and I’m able to bring my pup along! The food is also really good but it’s a little pricey. I stop by whenever I’m in Brooklyn but realistically the portions are fairly small for the price. Still recommend them if you’re craving seafood and quality taste.
This an easy stop and grab a bite to eat place. You just walk up to the window order your food and they bring it to you when it’s ready. I got the 8oz lobster roll. The roll is cold but it was delicious m. It’s most definitely in my top 5 lobster rolls not the best but pretty tasty. The downside is expensive. $50 for 8oz. They have smaller sizes too if you don’t want to pay that much, plus they also have shrimp and crab rolls too. I recommend trying this place even with the price tag.
Luke's Lobster excels in their lobster rolls, which were truly tasty. However, the service was a letdown. The staff was unfriendly and selected a 20% tip without my consent, leading to an uncomfortable situation. Despite the delicious food, the poor service impacted the overall experience. A fair 3 stars.
While on vacation in NY, I thought i would try this place out as I love lobster rolls and wanted something local. Staff was amazing, but the price seriously took me by surprise as it cost me $40+ for a SMALL lobster roll. I was seriously disappointed as I have gone to Burger & Lobster and got a lot more from a lobster roll. Price needs to definitely change as the price does not reflect the value of the items.
Definitely had much better lobster than at this place. It looked really good at first, but the lobster was super bland. I’m giving 3 stars because the staff was nice and it’s a pretty good spot. But I wouldn’t come here just for the food.
Overall: Pretty good lobster rolls, but the wait times are insane and the prices are high. The good: The sandwich was well worth the wait, I'll give them that. The lobster and the bread roll were both heavenly, and it was nice to be able to enjoy a beer along with it. Location is top tier, as you can enjoy your meal under the bridge. The not-so-good: The wait time was atrocious, waited in line for 25 minutes and then had to wait another 20 minutes for the food to come out. 1 cashier, 1 window to order and pick up - I understand their limited footprint, but if you have any sort of plans, 45 mins to just get food in your hands is a long time. And the prices are high, even for the chips and drinks.
Conveniently located for people enjoying a nice stroll. But honestly it wasn't worth the $40 we spent (including tip). The lobster roll was decent. Anything with butter always tastes better. The toasted butter roll was on point! However the overall taste of ther lobster itself was bland (my Dad was a lobster man therefore I'm very familiar with fresh well prepared lobster). The clam chowder wasn't any better. It tasted more like a chicken stalk than clam. Overall different but not terrible.
One word: overpriced. Got the "large" lobster roll for $35, and this is what I got. The taste was nothing special (especially since the lobster was served cold). There are plenty of other places in the city with better tasting lobster rolls that are larger portion sizes which cost less. Don't get caught up about the location of Luke's.
If you want to pay $50 for a large lobster in bread and still go hungry, this is the place for you. I went around 11:30. The service wasn't good, and I witnessed them treating some tourists rudely. I don't plan on returning.
Food is ok, the lobster and shrimp roll was pretty good, the crab roll was underseasoned. The customer service was bad or the menu lies. We ordered the seafood roll combo which on the menu in bold says "comes with chips and soft drink". The two workers there kept insisting that it would be 2 dollars more to get the chips and drink and would not budge. When we got our receipt it had chips as one of the items and eventually convinced the worker to give us chips but they wouldn't budge on the drink. Also the food was cold, it's a dollar extra to heat it up. I don't see why they nickle and dime everything when the food is already pretty expensive.
This is my second time eating at this place, only this time I decided to try the Dumbo location. I ordered the lobster, crab and shrimp trio, in my opinion it is too small, you can see the comparison with my hand. The bread was okay, the lobster bread was better, and even the crab bread surprised me because it was also good. My disappointment was the shrimp, they were cold, like when they took them straight from the refrigerator to the plate. No flavor at all, the texture was chewy and I actually ate it to avoid wasting food but it tasted really bad. It was the only thing I ate for the rest of the day, at night my stomach started to hurt and I felt nauseous. I had severe indigestion all night, I couldn't stop vomiting and the discomfort wouldn't go away. Hopefully it was indigestion and not food poisoning. But still, it's a resounding Never again for me. The guy at the register was friendly and the service was quick. My only problem was the disastrous experience with the shrimp there. Only because of the staff and the beautiful location next to the pier, I give them two stars.
Just ate there today and I am really sick / big food poisoning - my friend just tried a bite of the lobster roll and is also very sick. Really disappointed for 30 dollars … I am never going there again - they were reheating the lobster in frozen bags in a weird way ..
I Bought a lobster roll and crab roll. Food looked beautiful but it lacked flavour. Basically, both sandwiches were bland. The food needs some seasoning and reworking of the recipe to become the best lobster roll spot in Brooklyn.
Tourists alert! Definitely a scam for tourists. Do not eat here. 1) the menu says it comes with chips and soda but the staff insists that we need to pay an extra $2 for that. I saw the other “locals” have their chips and soda but not us. I asked the “locals” and they told me the set comes with these. This is clearly a scam and DISCRIMINATION. 2) these lobsters are tasteless. you cannot tell they are lobsters if you are doing a blind test 3) it is a lobster roll flight with 2oz each. You can tell from the picture that one of them is obviously not 2oz. Edit: They contacted me but instead of offering compensation at the first place, they blamed me as if it was my fault. I pushed back and advised I might report this to authority, and then they stepped back. We definitely need to know our rights.
