Khaosan is a Brooklyn Heights gem, praised for its authentic and flavorful Thai food, warm atmosphere, and friendly service, especially from Susie and Pauline. Standout dishes include Drunken Noodles, crab fried rice, and Lychee Martini. Decor is stunning and makes you feel you aren't even in NYC.

Such a wonderful place for a date night or a larger group! I’ve been twice, once for my husband’s birthday with friends then on a cold wintery night for dinner. The food and cocktails are both great! Susie was particularly friendly and helpful!
Favorite comfort Thai place by FAR, with familiar Thai dishes but elevated to the next level. My go-tos are the tom yum pho and the khao soi gai. I always end with the mango sticky rice!! Best service ever too. They come out with food QUICK even though they’re always packed & busy. They time the desert down to the millisecond so it’s fresh and ready as soon as we finish our main meal. Our waitress City was the cutest & best waitress ever!! They went out of their way to get us the last available mango sticky rice of the night!!
Delicious! The food is a bit different from traditional Thai cuisine I had at other restaurants, more modern. We got chicken wings, roasted duck soup noodle, and ocean harvest pad thai. It was a cool experience to watch a staff blowtorch the seafood in front of us.
We decided to come back to Khaosan because when we went the first time the service and the food were great. We were not disappointed because was again everything was excellent! Our server Forrain did such a good job taking care of us and making our experience great!
Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Susie greeted me at the door, helped me pick out some great options for my To-go order & even recommended some things for me to try since it was my 1st time. Highly recommend Dine-in if you have the time. Great ambience and lighting. I ordered the drunken noodles (18) with roasted duck (+10). Food was overall great I would’ve liked more protein but that’s just me. Spice level was on point to my liking and packed with veggies. FYI : 1/4 of the duck per order but I still feel it was enough meat for this to go order. 👍🏽 Would order from here again 💯
Easy to read menu with pictures. Food was really good! We got the udon beef hanger noodles, massaman curry with chicken, and papaya salad. Good serving size for all dishes and quick service. Tables are nice and spaces out. Our server Suzie was great!
The food is delicious! I ordered Drunken Noodles. It was spiced perfectly and flavorful. The service is great, they were open during the snow storm. Appreciate that. Our waitress Susie was very kind and helpful. I recommend this restaurant.
The food was very good! The flavors were rich and authentic. I ordered the Chicken Pho lunch special and it was very flavorful and the meat was tender! Highly recommend, the price was very affordable. Our server Suzy was very kind and accommodating too! 😊🤍
Food is exceptional and presented beautifully. I always come here when I want to take a long lunch and sit down. The service is great, my server Forrain was helpful in recommending dishes. Will be back to try more items. I got the pad see ew with chicken and had no complaints
probably one of the best meals i’ve had in nyc. got the spicy basil fried rice which was sooo delicious literally left my friend and i speechless! my friend got the pad thai which was also very good and the portions are so generous that despite eating till were full we still had enough to pack up for another meal entirely. so good especially bc it looked very upscale but the prices are not bad (for new york standards). can’t wait to go back and try more!
Excellent spot for inventive Thai cuisine. The space is inviting and just a little over the top (in the best way). Do not miss out on the Ocean Harvest Pad Thai. The presentation is outstanding with the jumbo shrimp shells and other tasty morsels torched table-side. The charred aroma and flavor really elevates the dish and the experience. All dishes, all flavors on-point. Excellent choice if you are tired of the same old, same old Thai.
We had a great experience at Khaosan. We ordered the chives pancake, moo ping, tom yum, and pad kee mao, everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were spot-on and clearly authentic. On top of the amazing food, we loved the restaurant’s vibe and services: warm, lively, and welcoming. Staffs are super nice and friendly. Definitely a place we’d come back to and recommend to Thai food lovers.
The food and service was impeccable. We had amazing service from Forrain was so patient and understanding. She made sure that our food didn’t contain peanuts. Overall 10/10. The whole menu slapped. We had the half duck w basil, the crab cakes, classic chicken wings, calamari , curry chicken puffs. Pineapple rice with chicken, and other pieces. So delicious!
Totally unexpected excellent Thai food in Brooklyn. We were looking for the Chinese restaurant we used to go to over 2 decades ago at this address and what a great surprise. This restaurant is at this location now and their food as good a Thai I’ve had in the US. They don’t spice it up too hot so you need ask for extra spice on the side if you like it 🥵 like I do. Definitely would recommend dinner at this location. Made our evening stroll down memory lane.
Feeling those Thai food cravings? 🍜 We stopped by Khaosan in Brooklyn and it did not disappoint. Authentic Thai flavors with a modern twist, crafted with so much love and attention to detail. 💛 The staff are super friendly, the vibe is cozy and aesthetic, and the food… absolutely delicious. We even tried their exclusive Chef Big x Khaosan dish! Crispy snowfish with choochee curry sauce! And yes, we basically licked the plates clean. 🤤 Whether you’re dining in or grabbing takeout, this spot brings Thailand to Brooklyn in the most flavorful way.
Loved it! We got some appetizers and the lychee drinks and it was fascinating. Not too strong nor too sweet, just the right amount of flavor. I would say the least favorite was the skewers as they tasted good but texture was not the best for chicken. Would definitely come back for the lychee martini!
Khaosan is a gem in Brooklyn Heights! The food was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. The Drunken Noodles were outstanding perfectly cooked noodles, great balance of spice, and packed with bold Thai flavors. You can really taste the authenticity in every bite. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service was attentive without being rushed. Definitely a go-to spot for authentic Thai cuisine in Brooklyn. Highly recommend!
Khaosan in Brooklyn is one of those spots that quietly does everything right. The space feels warm and unfussy, the service is genuinely welcoming, and the food clearly comes from a place of care. The standout dish for me was the udon noodle with steak. It’s the kind of dish you keep thinking about after you leave. Overall, Khaosan delivers thoughtful Thai-inspired cooking that feels both elevated and comforting. If you’re looking for a neighborhood gem with dishes that actually live up to the hype, this is absolutely a place worth returning to.
It’s very good place. Service is the best compare to other Thai places. Foods are super delicious and the prices are amazing. You can’t get this quality food with this prices in Manhattan. And I got a present for Xmas too. They are so nice and friendly. I definitely go again next time and am excited to try other foods. Services 10/10.
Wonderful! First time here will definitely return! Best Lychee Martini I ever had! Usually I have one, today I had two! The flavors and spicing are exquisite. I had the curry dumplings and pad thai, both were excellent with oodles of flavor exploding in my mouth. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. The dining area is warm and cozy while the staff is very attentive, kind, helpful and thoughtful. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back to try other dishes!
I’m still in the restaurant and I’m already writing this 5 star review! X) We started off with the papaya salad and curry dumplings. For dinner, we had the fried Benzino, pannang curry, and drunken noodles. Starting off with the service it is a 5/5 service - our server, Pauline, was super attentive and upbeat. She made very tasteful recommendations for the meals as well. The food was A++!! my first bite of the Bronzino was spectacular. Definitely recommend. Our table thought we were going to be full and not able to eat everything… But with how everything was so delicious we ate it all lol Presentation is nice, food taste good, music is great, service is awesome. Definitely will be recommending to other people and will come back again !
If you know me, know I'm a foodie and good food made great is an A+ for me. Khaosan is such a place! A former Chinese food staple on the corner of Montague & Hicks St, now with a facelift and cuisine change. Khaosan and is a contemporary organic Thai spot with a 7-pg menu!! A 7pg menu! Don't walk in there hangry, 😆 you'll order way too much good food, like we did. Great atmosphere, decor, service, drinks and the food was delectable at every single bite!! Make sure you stop by!!

A Hidden Gem in Brooklyn! Such a cute neighborhood Thai spot. The portion sizes are perfect, and the creative drink menu is a standout. Definitely try the Lychee Fizz! The Drunken Noodles with hanger steak is my go-to. Cozy vibe, great service, and a place I’ll keep coming back to. Highly recommend!
Visited Khaosan yesterday for a gathering. Went for dinner. One of BEST thai restaurants I've been to. From the moment you walk in your welcomed in with such kindness, a plus in my book. Great place. Staff is very sweet. The decor is amazing and makes you feel you aren't even in NYC. Everything has such great detail down to the food. Food presentation a 10 out of 10 as well as the drinks. We had a combo of mocktail and cocktail. Place is very very clean!! The foods was so flavorful and tasted GREAT! Definitely a gem in this crazy city of ours. Will surely visit again very soon.
I went to Khaosan Thai Restaurant in Manhattan last night with really high expectations, and I have to say the overall experience was a mix of great ambiance and service, paired with food that did not quite live up to the setting. First, the service was truly excellent. From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, patient, and knowledgeable about the menu. Our server checked in on us at all the right times without being intrusive, and everything we asked for came out quickly and with a smile. That alone made the experience feel smooth and well handled from start to finish. The atmosphere and vibe are where Khaosan really stands out. The space is beautifully designed with a modern, stylish energy that feels both lively and comfortable. The lighting is set just right, the decor is thoughtfully curated, and the music ties everything together perfectly. It feels like the kind of place you would want to bring friends to for a fun night out, a date, or even a small celebration. The room has great energy without feeling overwhelming, and the whole environment feels intentional and well executed. Now for the food. While everything looked great visually and was presented nicely, the flavors were, unfortunately, just mid. Nothing was bad by any means, but nothing truly stood out either. The dishes were fine and perfectly edible, but they lacked the depth, boldness, and punch I usually expect from Thai food. The seasoning felt muted in places, and overall the dishes did not leave a lasting impression. Given how strong the atmosphere and service were, I was really hoping the food would match that same level of excellence, but it fell a bit short. Overall, I still enjoyed my time at Khaosan because the service, atmosphere, and overall vibe were genuinely top tier explainable alone as reasons to visit. I would absolutely return for drinks, the energy, and the experience. However, if you are going strictly for unforgettable Thai food, you might find the flavors to be more average than expected. It is a great spot for a fun night out with solid service and ambiance, but the food alone may not be the main reason to come back.
This is a modern Thai fusion restaurant. The decor is IG worthy. We ordered Tom Yum soup, massaman curry with chicken, spring rolls, chicken wings, pho with steak, and pad kra pao, and ended the meal with mango sticky rice and mango sticky rice with ice cream for dessert. The taste was great and plating was beautiful for all the dishes that we ordered. The staff were friendly. Overall, it’s a great dinning experience. I’d go back again.
