Tried restaurant week tasting menu. Amazing experience - from the moment you walk in, the open kitchen sets the tone. Watching the chefs work in real time adds an element of theater to the experience. Menu is well curated. The standout bite of the night was the foie gras canele. Definitely coming back!

Delicious food and well worth the trip from Manhattan to Brooklyn. The famous duck is delicious. Cocktails were quite good, though there were a couple of misses. Small plates were uniformly excellent. Service was consistent throughout and lead server made assured recommendations. Dessert was great.

Had a wonderful experience at Francie. Both the ambiance and the food were excellent — the space feels elegant yet comfortable, perfect for a special night out. The roast duck is the must-order dish. It’s absolutely delicious and beautifully prepared — definitely worth trying, even though it’s a bit on the pricier side. I would also highly recommend the clam pasta, which was flavorful and very satisfying. Overall, a great spot for a memorable dinner. Would happily come back again.

The food here was incredible! I loved the bread and the sunflower butter! The lamb, bombolini, market salad, and the foi gras were so good! We also had the citron dessert which I loved! They have a great mocktail menu as well

We booked dinner during restaurant week and we had a great experience. The room is cosy and has direct view to the kitchen. The staff is really nice and attentive. The atmosphere is relaxed and the music is moderate. The food was very good and filling, even if the portions looked small! We had: - baby lettuces and fried artichokes for appetizers - bucatini al citron and rigatoni (a little spicy) - carrot cake and german chocolate cake We also had cocktails but I can’t remember the name of it - it is on the restaurant week menu. Reminded me of the “plane crash” at Singers (bar in bedstuy)!

We recently celebrated a milestone birthday, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for a special evening — but the experience exceeded every expectation. The dinner was absolutely delightful. The flavors were out of this world — creative, perfectly balanced, and unlike anything I’ve ever tasted before. Every dish had unique combinations that felt both surprising and comforting at the same time. You can truly feel the passion and artistry behind the menu. Chef Christopher Cipollone generously sent out complimentary dishes that made the celebration feel even more personal and memorable. And the dessert? I was convinced it was a rich, decadent chocolate creation — a real “runner-up” to any classic indulgence — but it turned out to have the most refreshing, bright lemony flavor that completely surprised me in the best possible way. It was light, vibrant, and absolutely delicious. The staff was equally impressive — professional, attentive, and genuinely pleasant throughout the entire evening. Their timing, knowledge, and warmth elevated the experience even more. We would come back again and again and again. If you’re looking for a place to celebrate something special — or simply want an unforgettable meal — this is it. Thank you Sandra and Louie

We ordered a lot at Francie, but the clear highlights were the family duck ($152) and the steak ($225). Both arrived beautifully presented without feeling overdone. The steak had a perfect sear, tons of flavor, and was incredibly tender. The duck fully lived up to its reputation — crisp, deeply golden skin, juicy meat, and a really clean, balanced plate. The vibe was polished but comfortable, not stuffy at all. Service was attentive and well paced, and nothing felt rushed. Definitely one of the better meals I’ve had in Brooklyn and a place I’d happily go back to. 😋

I went to Francie on Friday with two friends and had an outstanding experience from start to finish. Every bite felt special and incredibly thoughtful which is no surprise given their Michelin star, but still impressive in execution. The entire team was warm, welcoming, and attentive, making sure we were comfortable and well taken care of throughout the night. The duck was a true standout, but the appetizers and pastas were just as exceptional. Not a single miss. Chef Chris is an absolute star, and it shows in every dish that hits the table. An outstanding meal beginning to end. I can’t wait to return.

I had a really good meal here. I think it is overpriced, but i don't mind paying it when im craving exactly Francie. The salad was a little ridiculous being 10 leaves big🤣 it tasted good. The savory crepe was really good too. My duck came out good but i guess it all depends on what cook makes the food. My fat was rendered properly, with a crispy skin, and perfectly cooked medium rare (a few were more rare than others and then those were a bit chewier but still good) i can see a scenario in which people didn't have this exact outcome, im grateful i did and i would definitely come back at some point. The main dining room is a bit loud and echoey though. Not the most romantic spot if you were hoping for that

Everything about this restaurant is top notch. Great atmosphere that’s inviting and easy to talk in. Wonderful and attentive service. Delicious food and wine. Not much more you can ask for. I ordered the truffle pasta ($32 for 15 pieces of pasta, definitely on the pricey side but worth it) and the caviar appetizer and then we split a bottle of wine on a Tuesday night. We made reservations beforehand and were seated smoothly and quickly. Lovely spot to catch up with some friends or for a date night.

Amazing!!! Best meal I've had in NYC in awhile. Hard to choose a favorite menu item when all of our 11 dishes were each superb. Definitely get the foie canele and duck crown. Don't miss out on desserts, which were also amazing. For a tasty treat, get the NA drink, Solero. It's so good, I had 4. Service was super attentive and very friendly. Will 100% be back again.

One of our favorite spots in New york! Impeccable service ! Some of the best pasta and appetizers in town! Duck bolognese and mortadella are to die for! And of course probably one of the best dry aged ducks in the country! The steak is amazing as well! Can’t wait to go back

Wonder duck. Highly recommended. Just like another night in Paris! It comes with mashed parsnip, jamed bacon. We also got the sourdough that comes with distinguish different butter. The whole meal is just perfect for two persons.

Great food!! Everything is seasoned so well. Very innovative, great fusion. Drinks are more on the mediocre side. Maybe skip cocktails and do wine with the food. But from appetizers to desserts are all top notch.

I heard this place has the best duck in the city, so I decided to give it a try. The duck is indeed amazing. The meat is juicy and the skin is crispy. They also show you the duck before they cut it 😂. The only thing that can be improved is the veggie side, which is a little bit salty. Highly recommend! We also ordered a Pinot to go with it, which turned out to be a great pairing. The soufflé is very fluffy, and the seasonal cucumber dish is refreshing. I liked both.

Went there for dinner with my family, we ordered steak and duck, the food was amazing. They served snacks first, we ordered lobster ravioli and sourdough bread. Then the steak and duck were brought, served on two platters with flowers around them, uncut so you can take photos. A few minutes later it was returned sliced and ready to eat. I would definitely recommend this place for a family or romantic dinner.

NY Restaurant Week Menu Ordered littleneck clams with horseradish from the happy hours menu.. Horseradish was just too strong..shook my head. Didn't taste anything else Fried artichokes were perfectly fried like a tempura (tasted much better than it read) with meyer lemon dip smoked trout roe was a perfect dip. Rigatoni was also perfectly al dente..the 'hot' Italian duck sausage was flavourful but not really hot even for my sensitive palate. Between the chocolate and the carrot cake, the waitress suggested the carrot cake. Description had it with mandarin gelee and served with yuzu ice cream. The citrusy flavours of yuzu ice cream and mandarin gelee were so dominant that there carrot cake was barely noticeable.

Francie is really all about the Duck, and the Pastas too! The starters vary between some misses like the bomboloni and carpaccio, but the Market salad was actually so horrible it’s not even pictured. But then there’s the outstanding Roman Army Sourdough, this bread is perfect and comes with two nice spreads. The soufflé cakes are tasty with a nice caviar butter spread. The Fussiloni was really good, a flavorful wintery sauce with some big bites and truffle. Then the Duck, it’s amazing, perfect roasted skin delivered with a huge portion in great sauce. Now, the fries are very great, but at any restaurant $20 for fries is a very high price and one that isn’t even listed on the menu. Additionally, we had no real waiter most of the night, on a slow Tuesday night we had what seemed to be the manager for the first half of the night, then no waiter at all till dessert. The vibe inside is cool and overall the restaurant is fine, but why it has a Michelin Star doesn’t really make sense compared to the objectively better restaurants in NYC that do or don’t have one.

Loved the appetizers and pastas! Didn’t get to order the duck this time, but I’m definitely looking forward to going back again. Everything was pretty much what I expected and very good overall. The only small issue was that the service could have been a bit more attentive—there were a few moments when I needed assistance and tried to get a waiter’s attention, but he didn’t seem to notice me for a while, possibly because he wasn’t the one assigned to our table. That said, our table’s server did a great job introducing the food menu and drinks.

Hosts and waitstaff were excellent. They were attentive and very accommodating. Spacious tables, open view to the kitchen, beautiful atmosphere. The food however was underwhelming. We did not order the crown duck dish that the restaurant is famous for. Instead we opt for 3 apps and 2 entrees. The only dish that stood out was the pate canale, which was well executed in texture, flavor and concept. The lamb was cooked perfectly to temperature but the crust was overly salty and a tad inedible. The center of the medallion had very little flavoring, which made each bite either very salty or just boring. I would return just to try the signature duck, but not sure if the other dishes are worth savoring.

Made reservations for my wife's birthday. She couldnt eat anything raw. Figure the duck for 2 is a good idea to cover that. We were seated right away in the private dining area. Great if you hate the noisy main dining room. They impressed us on the squash bombolone and sourdough bread with lard. We only called for the suckling pig pasta since we getting a big entree to share. The biggest disappointment would be the suckling pig. I just feel like the pork wasn't highlighted well. Just taste like a pork dumpling with a nice sauce. Probably the clam pasta would be better. The duck came and was amazing. Nicely roasted and pink. The nice sheened sauce goes very well. The sopprressata jam compliments the duck. Parsnip puree as a side was great. I would hope the duck was roasted a minute more just to have a better crispy skin and less chewier sinew parts. Once you go toward the middle pieces, is not as tender. Nevertheless, flavors were hitting the right spots. The desserts were great. The pumpkin cake with cinnamon cream really impressed us and was the birthday cake. I feel like this place needs to give an amuse bouche to get us going. Although, some dishes were great and the main course was as well, it feels underwhelming.

I visited Francie in Brooklyn, NY (136 Broadway, Brooklyn, NY 11249) on the last day of NYC Restaurant Week and was so glad I caught it. For only $60 per person, I enjoyed their special prix-fixe menu, which was an amazing value considering the quality and reputation of this Michelin-starred European brasserie. The food was excellent—beautifully plated, flavorful, and creative. The atmosphere is chic and elegant, with a modern brasserie feel that makes dining here feel like a special occasion. That being said, the service was slower than expected. I don’t know if it was because it was Restaurant Week, but my drink actually arrived only after my entrée was served. For a Michelin-starred restaurant, I expected smoother timing. 💡 Details for diners: 📍 Address: 136 Broadway, Brooklyn, NY 11249 🍽️ Type of restaurant: Michelin-starred European Brasserie / Contemporary American 💲 Price range: $$$ – most entrées $40–$60, with tasting menus & wine pairings 🕒 Opening hours: • Mon–Thu: 5 PM – 10 PM • Fri: 5 PM – 11 PM • Sat: 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM (brunch), 5 PM – 11 PM • Sun: 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM (brunch), 5 PM – 10 PM Overall, I still recommend Francie in Williamsburg, Brooklyn for anyone looking for a fine dining experience with beautiful food in a stylish setting. I just hope the service improves to match the high standard of the kitchen. @raquelgerlani

The food is quite good but some dishes were overhyped. The duck pervitier was excellent and not something that could be made at home. All the pasta dishes are quite nice but really only marginally better than what you’d find on Arthur ave. The rigatoni with duck special was the best as the duck here is outstanding. The fried artichoke was very average. The bread was good but nothing special. We ordered 3 “firsts” 3 mains and 2 deserts and left still hungry. I’ve been to other Michelin star restaurants and while portions are generally small this felt exceptionally tiny. Pasta is flour water (maybe egg but I would guess no here.) portions should not be this small.

It’s worth a visit. It’s decently priced, the menu is good with some items I didn’t enjoy as much, but mainly due to personal preferences. Highlights of the experience were the sourdough bread, sweet corn bombolloni & dry-aged crown of duck. The soufflé cake & fusillini were nothing extraordinary. The personal disappointments were the market salad (see pic - you can literally count the greens) & the strawberry cheesecake (could NOT find the cheesecake. It was super tart). Ambiance-wise, it was nice. Ceilings are low & lights slightly dimmed for the mood. We barely noticed any noise level which was great because we dining as a group, we were able to enjoy a wonderful conversation. The only negative feedback I could probably give about the service is that we felt a little rushed. Thought they did not make us eat faster, there was a sense of the staff constantly checking if we were done with our course and if the next could be served. They were polite but you could feel it from our server. I guess given we had a 6pm reservation, they needed to seat the next round of guests. But note to the resto, you can’t expect to pace & serve your menu in courses then expect your guests to be done in 1.5 hours. A coursed meal is NOT a marathon. #justsaying.

The food was delectable I almost licked the plate. It was on the cusp of being salty but in their defense I have a low tolerance for salt as I age. The sazerac was the worst I've ever had and after a long wait I had to ask for service. I absolutely loved the food but I'm not sure if I'll return because the negatives outweigh the positive. I was there for a solo pre-birthday dinner so to be ignored was kind of a bummer and ruined the night for me.

We came for the duck. I really wanted to love it but it was chewy. We ordered two ducks for three people and were disappointed. Presentation was nice but meat a little tough. Expected more at $154 per order. Appetizers were good, prompt service. It did not feel as a Michelin Star Restaurant.

We booked as a birthday party to have some special moment. Turned out not so happy experience. Service: The waiter is good but managers keep talking to other tables and don’t pay attention to ours. Some manager talks almost 1 hour to a table but ignored us. Never asks if our food is ok or any problem. Speed of food coming out too long. We feel tireed waiting with empty plates Quality: The saddest thing. Food is too salty for salad, too much salt. Maybe the person who sprinkled the salt today is doing too much. Duck is brought out and too fast brought in to cut without us taking a picture. Also too salty. Not special. Foie Gras is tasty inside but the skin is a bit hard, maybe left out for a little long. Pasta also a little salty. Overall, For 300 USD for 2 + 20% TIPs, I believe there are much better options
