Opinions de Frank's Pizza Brooklyn
Want a good hot Italian meal? Thanks Frank's Pizza. Never failed me. Delicious.
This is hands down the best pizzeria in Brooklyn. The crust is absolutely perfect and the cheese is the kind of hot you can only get with an old school good oven. Frank's is an authentic as New York gets. He's a tip if you are going to dine in, instead of ordering a soda for everyone for $1.50 just order a 2lt bottle for $3.
Great food great service
Truly the best pizza & mozz sticks in all of Brooklyn. I’ve always had a positive experience here & their food is always made perfectly
Excellent food. Outrages portions. U pay for what u get. Outstanding Food. Neighborhood Italian eats. Linguine & White Clam Sauce. My favorite?
Felt in love with this place! Food was fresh! And waitress were extremely friendly!. Them stuffed shells got me sucking on my fingers!
Pasta fagioli?! Heavenly! Manicotti?! Double heavenly! The salad is ridiculously plain and simple and deeeeelish; with the "secret" dressing. Even if you ask; they won't tell. Pizza's okay but I mostly enjoy the entrees. Bon appetit!
Frank’s is definitely the best pizza and pasta spot in the area...every time I make the mistake stop at a different pizza pasta place, I am very disappointed. Good prices, really good food and excellent service!
Frank's Pizza 🍕 was delicious I have not visited that Pizza Restaurant in a very long time and the Pizza was filled with a lot of Sauce and Mozzarella Cheese and tasted 😋 so good next time I am going to try Chicken Parmigiana with Spaghetti with Meat Sauce!
Great atmosphere excellent service best pizza in New York City check it out the best I will only buy my pizza there then of course dinner
Best Severs EVER! Food is good too, lol. The Strawberry Shortcake was extremely fresh. And the decor was nice too.
Your search is over. In my opinion this is the best Sicilian slice anywhere. I know Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan very well. Long Island too. THis is the best. The other food is very good too, but the Sicilian is the best. Nice and high with a crispy bottom. Plenty of sauce with dripping Mozzarella on top. The way it should be. Cheese on the bottom is not A Sicilian to me. I discovered this place 25 years ago and its just as good as it was back then. I don't live nearby anymore but when I'm nearby I always try to stop in for a slice.
Italian pizzeria restaurants has its legendary and legacy. This may be my first location at Frank's Pizza, but overall, this is not my first Brooklyn local pizza locations. There are more than one pizza locations across the borough, or across the city. Nevertheless , the pizza, that I just ate ,has a pretty damned good quality. The place, itself is very adequate cleanliness, and the performance of ordering my pizza service is good enough. You really, don't have to pack your bags to get a great pizza. You can get it here. I love pizza , whether I go to Staten Island, long island, Stamford,CT,......... It doesn't matter where l go. As long as these people doing their job well, everything is gonna be okay. Thanks for serving me at Frank's Pizza palor🍹🇺🇸🗽🦅🍕
I went in just to have a slice of pizza or two but I have to see you in the menu I decided to stay with my daughter and have raw clams on an open shell and it was so fresh and they had lots of antipastas and wines and they were very friendly and clean and funny it was a very friendly family atmosphere. Can't wait to go back.
If you ever visit Brooklyn, this is by far one of the best Italian eateries to visit. Food was spectacular, great friendly vibe, our waitress was outstanding, in a really cute neighborhood.
I love their pizza !!!!!! I was really disappointed when I moved to Brooklyn from Staten Island , prior to living on the Island I lived in Manhattan and in Manhattan you always find good food. But coming to Brooklyn and trying the pizza spots around my house we’re literally disgraceful. I’d rather not mention the spot but it’s a block away from my house and I just can’t bring myself to getting their food. At one point I thought I was stuck with this pizzerias trashy food until I spotted Franks. All it took was one pie and I was sold. The feel of the establishment when you first walk in just felt like a real old school Italian pizzeria that you know was gonna have some good pizza.
A Gem of an Italian restuarant/ pizzeria in Brooklyn. Alm the classics covered. Food is VERY good and fresh with generous portions. Wait staff and order takers are very nice and add to the old school atmosphere here. The locals are loyal and they have every reason to remain that way. I have never had a disappointing meal here. Neither will you.
Decided to run in here given the fact I havent visited this location in a while. But I must say it's the best pizza in town especially towards kings plaza and sheepshead bay area. It was completely delicious, every slice. I visited with a friend and a bunch of happy kids. (Some customers seemed a bit unwelcoming and snuddy, not sure why but maybe because they were lonely and miserable and the sight of kids bothered them. I could have cared less) However, the staff was superb! The kids were all satisfied as well as myself. We had a pie, a couple of more slices for a second and third slice for everyone and a pitcher of ice tea. It was a good value and the waitress was very pleasant and sweet.
I always love franks. The food is literally always amazing but tonight was exceptional because our waitress made it a great experience. I am a picky person and Brianna made me feel very comfortable thank you !!
Wonderful place, food is always good. My wife and I have been there a number of times. Each time we have tried different dishes, and have never been disappointed. Nice friendly neighborhood eatery.
We come to Franks once a month for a family lunch. Old school vibes with great service and even better food. Truly brings out the best of the neighborhood.
Have been going here since 1981. Best pizza in Brooklyn. When I go into Brooklyn from Long Island, I always stop here. Everything is great, heroes, entrees, everything. Highly recommend.
If you are talking Italian food made to perfection this is it! In the past I have even called to make a fresh calzone with no ricotta, just mozzarella and pepperoni and they accommodated me as well. Love the fact as well if you order a hero it comes in a little hero box. Made the toasted to perfection chicken parm taste that much better. Don't hesitate if you are lucky enough to give Frank's a delivery order or if you are going in to grab it and fo or sit down and eat a nice meal you will not be disappointed. Support local business 🤟🤘👣
Omg this place has the best pizza i have ever tasted!!! Service was extremely great, will definitely be coming back. Tiffany was such a great help, friendly and wonderful service.
My dad and I knew Frank and his family when it opened. I remember stopping there when my Dad drove the 41 Bus at the stop. What a Blast!! The 1st Pizza go round oven, and the pies were 75 cents for a small and 1.00 for a large. I was able to do a take out with my Schwinn, and the monkey bars, holding 2 large pies at a a time to E38st.
The food is delicious and the service is good. Enjoyed the chicken Marsala with spaghetti, fried calamari and salad. The portions are generous. I always enjoy it when we stop by.
Love the waiter. She the best; tip her before you even get started ordering lol thats how good she is💯 veryyyy humble person in a state where ppl forgot what humbleness was. And ofc the pizza is good, cheesy cheese and light sauce
Huge menu. Awesome Pizza! at a reasonable price! Courteous and friendly staff. Frank's gets a wide slice of patrons, but they seem very LGBTQ friendly fyi.
This is one of the best places along Flatbush to get pizza. Just don't have it delivered because the delivery guy tries to shake you down for more money If you don't tip him enough. I'll only be going into order from now on.
When i first walked it, the place had a homie feel to it. When it came down to ordering the staff was super sweet and it was nothing but smiles all around. Now the food yes its a little bit pricey but the slices are huge and the flavor will have you coming back for more. From the the crispy but somehow fluffy crust to the savory sauce (they aren't stingy on neither the sauce or the cheese). It was crispy it was saucy it was flavorful it hit all the margins for us. The chicken wings need to be feed a bit more but the flavor and crunch leaves you wanting more. This is definitely a treat because you will get your moneys worth of food. Just know for 2 pies your over 40$ but thats normal now. And it's worth every penny, give it a try ypu won't regret it.
Having grown up in the area, I've eaten in every pizza restaurant in the area. I feel that Frank's provides the best food, huge portions, and quality! I love their house salad, veal parm, and baked ziti. Usually the wait staff is very attentive and personable. The young lady we had last time just seemed miserable (this is the exception). It's your typical pizzeria with tables; nothing fancy. If you want linen tablecloth service, their "fancy" dining is next door at Salvi's. If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend giving Frank's a try.
Frank's Pizza is honestly my favorite pizza establishment in the entirety of Brooklyn, NY. The pepperoni pizza is so delicious that I could eat it every single day if I wanted to. The Sicilian slices are way better than any other place I went to. It's really just an outstanding and wholesome restaurant, and I can definitely see why the pizza is so popular. Protect Frank's Pizza At All Costs!
The pizza tastes like eating pizza as kid growing up in Brooklyn, great! The dishes are really good too. My wife loves the chicken marsala and also the baked ziti dishes.
I've been coming here for years with my family. They are a family friendly environment that has great Italian food. Definitely check this place out! It's amazing! If your like me, you'll be getting a slice for appetizer and a main course to follow after. Enjoy!
You will never go wrong when ordering from franks everything is always good always fresh what ever you want they make it your way highly recommended whether you’re dining in ordering takeout you won’t be disappointed.
Love their pasta and pizza. The bread and butter is great while waiting for the food. Delivery is fast. Service is great. Waitresses are a charm. I don't attend there as much as I would like but try to be there or have takeout atleast once a month!!!
Awesome food, & customer service. Best garlic bread I had in years, besides one place in Queens. Prices also very reasonable & did not jack them like other places. My mechanic recommended this place, great taste & picky like me.
Love their pizza and baked clams! The best anywhere!! Great grilled chicken and salad. Chicken cacciatore...yummy. All the pasta dishes ... delicious. Their house dressing is delicious and unique. Great service. Just a great neighborhood traditional Italian vibe. And again best pizza and baked clams. Those two menu items alone are worth the trip.
Excellent service and food. Basic booths and tables, consistently fresh food, homemade soups, pizza, Italian dishes and salads. Highly recommended Neighborhood place.
This place is my favorite pizza spot in Brooklyn! Best pizza! I go there like every week. The staff upfront are some of the realist nicest people you want making your pizza or Italian food. I truly love this place. I even had a celebration using this place to serve my food so that saids enough.
Great authentic Brooklyn pizza! I was passing through the neighborhood yesterday on my way to a meeting & needed to grab something quick to eat because I hadn't eaten. I knew a good slice was what I needed but I wasn't familiar with the area. I found Frank's on Google Maps & saw that it had a 4 & 1/2 Star rating so I knew this would be the place. Plus it was right on the way to where I was driving. I could tell when I walked in that this is the neighborhood spot for pizza & Italian. Grabbed a quick slice to eat on the way and from the first bite it was fantastic. Super crispy crust, the melted mozzarella was lightly browned on top, and the sauce was that perfect combination of sweet & tangy. That was exactly what I was looking for! It's getting harder to find real old-school pizza shops that make traditional NYC pies & slices to go. So now I know another "go to" place when I'm in Brooklyn & craving good pizza!
If you are into pizza, you have to try their fresh regular pie. It is one of the best around the city, in an unasuming place. Intence and balanced flavor, thin, with just the right crunch on the fresh out of the oven pizza pie. Only thing I wish is I have known of this place sooner.
Excellent! I ordered trays of food for my fathers birthday and everyone complimented them. They were fresh, delicious and I placed the order through Sam and he was such a nice person. I am going to order from them again. I have not 1 bad word to say about the people or the food.
I love this place. the food is insane. the prices are great, and its got a real nice old school feel inside sitting in the booths. awesome spot.
My favorite local pizza place. The best slice and good neighborhood people.
I love this place. I go to it every day after school when I’m hungry and the pizza is delicious but they need to work a bit of more for the design inside
Grreatt pizza and pasta. I had the spaghetti carbinara and baked clams. Awesome food and prices were good.
Great spot to go get Pizza. They have great slices. And also dishes where you can sit down and order a variety of different foods. It has a good amount of space for seating and plenty of seats. The staff is very nice and friendly helpful. Always have good food when I go, never had a bad experience.
Excellent eatery serving up mostly Italian comfort food (pizza, calzones, pasta, calamari etc.). Great service. Our waitress was very attentive, very effecient. We started out with a complimentary tray of hot sliced Italian bread & butter. Then we had a most delicious mountain of fried calamari which lead to our entrees. Which were eggplant parmigiana hero & cheese ravioli.
Quintessential Brooklyn Pizzeria. No Flop. Crispy Bottom. Not for nothin, the ravioli looked pretty good too.
Frank's! One of our neighborhood Pizzeria/ Restaurants. The service is superb. The food is delicious. They bring you warm bread with cold butter, so tasty. Refreshing beer or House Zinfandel ! We start with appetizers a Sicilian slice to share And gooey crunchy delicious mozzarella sticks ! Recommended dishes are the Penne Primavera. Every vegetable is tasty. The sauce is fresh and delicious! Baked ziti and eggplant Parmesan also recommended! The price is reasonable! Always a good meal. Highly recommend!
Tired of the local pizza. Overpriced, inconsistent and thin. Went out of our way on a rainy day to take out from Frank’s, and it was well worth the trip. Several people behind the counter welcomed me, and after a few minutes I was on my way to the car with 2 slices in a small box. Which is much preferable to an oily bag. My grandson, the pizza maven, was very impressed. Slices were thick, ingredients were quality, and the price was right. Plenty of seating in the store. Other Italian food available. I was surprised that they charged sales tax, but I assume it is allowable. So no complaints. Our new ‘go-to’ pizza place. Good job.
Always a solid place to go to and its a safe bet. Never had a bad experience. I miss being able to sit down and dine getting waitress service.
LOVE LOVE Frank's... very friendly staff , we order delivery at least 2 a week from there and not once did it disappoint! The mozzarella and roasted red peppers is my fave. Delivery is always prompt. Honestly, I don't have Any critiques.
We've been there about a half dozen times and we've been completely pleased with food and service each time. Pizza is really good. The rest of the menu is pretty solid too.
Giving four stars cause the food is really good but there a little pricey they charge you a delivery fee then the men that deliver the pizza demand how much to tip and there rude and they don’t come to the door they make you come outside they want like $5 dollars for tip like really , I never make reviews but this just annoys me you need new delivery drivers .
You haven't lived til you try their Italian cheesecake! Baked chicken and broccoli are delicious, well seasoned and plentiful. A great neighborhood, casual eatery. Good value.
Basic neighborhood pizza place. Fried zucchini sticks A+. Regular cheese pie always good. Surprise….the WHITE pizza is excellent!
I always get the broiled chicken with veggies and it never disappoints. Skip the deserts though because they’re usually not amazing for the price . The fried calamari is also great… The service is top notch and they deliver.
dine in service is great and pizza heros and soups are very good. Their hero bread is great and heros are properly toasted to perfection , but pasta dishes are usually way overcooked. sausage and peppers parm and chicken parm are their best heros. Also their cold antipasto and fried zuchinni (which is a huge portion) are excellent and very reasonably priced
Very accommodating. I requested a hero sandwich not on the menu. It's a fried eggplant hero with sautéed broccoli rabe on garlic bread. So good and was not over-charged for the special request! The service was amazing. Super-attentive waitstaff. And the cappuccino was especially delicious! I highly recommend!
I really like Frank's. It is a classic brooklyn spot with good Italian food and pizza. I personally love the chicken parm and the salad is excellent with the house dressing. If you want good Italian food for a good price with a casual atmosphere, Frank's is your spot!
I randomly stopped to grab a pie here one day because it was on my route, but now I can't eat pizza from anywhere else. Their pizza is just that good. The gentleman who makes the pizza does a amazing job and is super friendly and welcoming. I took away one stars because one of the guy who takes phone orders is rude and is always touching his nose. I try to avoid him at all cost. Last time I dealt with him I said "Thank you" and he responded with "ehh".
Pizza is good pasta is delicious. And the house salad dressing is really really good. My only complaint is that I cant seem to ge able to order some food and sit down without waiter service.
Do you turn italian food into an experience? I normally have chicken parmesan. beer and wine sold. Family oriented and nothing super fancy.
Was craving some pizza and pass by and thought why not. I saw that it was a resturant and had a few people in there so I said it must be good. I like that one of the men working behind the counter was welcoming. As soon as I enter he acknowledged us . He spoke and ask if we had any questions. I took some time then I asked. We sat in the dining area and waited. A waitress came over pretty quickly but we told her we were waiting for the pizza. The service was good. We got a pie with half cheese and half pepperoni. The pizza was fresh as he said it would be. However it was a little salty for me and soggy that the cheese was melting off. My BF said this was normal for it to be soggy and the cheese and pepperoni falling off as it just came out of the oven. The pizza was $23 and with a drink came up to $26. It was 8 slices for the pie. Edit: August 2024 After purchasing pizza in manhattan, I said Franks is way better.I now realize the cheese falling off and it being soft is the best part. Thus I've been here twice.
They want $4 for a Pizza. As long as my Boss pays for it I will eat it . The food is I love Italian dishes. But five dollars for pizza 🤣🤣🤣. Talk to the boss man.
I've get pizza to go from there once in a while...decent. not bad
A very large place with plenty of seating. I find the pizza to be just ok, I do like a cruncher crust on my slices. The dishes are fine but over priced. There is street parking but in busy metered area.
Before the fire: The sauce is excellent, I wish I knew the secret. The pizza is awesome the crust was just right and you could see the flour underneath-no burn marks. They can seat 6 adults at the table and when I went there with many people the food was served at different times. Meaning-one would get the hero as the others waited for the pasta & veal dishes. We had appetizers and meals but for the price we can go other places for less. Now after the fire, I don't find it all that good. I don't know what happened. They do have another restaurant attached for fine dining and I feel they raised the prices to the pizza joint and it's no frills there. The waitresses try hard but just can't deal with the place when it gets busy. Come back to normal prices and we will return!
Pizza was average. We only ordered from here because our go to pizza place is closed on Sundays. Delivery took less than half an hour, which was great, but they failed to tell us about the delivery fee when we placed our order. There was an okay amount of topping though, so I guess I'll have to give them that. I would mind trying it out again but only for eat-in.
They fell off with their Caesar salads. It’s Like they rush them now. This is the 3rd time I got it from them and it was bad. It’s usually really good idk what’s going on. The chicken was too chewy and the salad had no taste
Pizza was delicious! But customer service was horrible! Got an attitude from the guy there for no reason! Didn't even want to stay there to eat because of the nasty attitude!
I like the pizza but the delivery guy is a scammer!!! He would say a high price and then change it and honestly I had complaint already about this man but I guess they can't control him or change him so I'll limit what I will get. It's very uncomfortable to have him showing up to my house and for a business, you should want customers comfortable with your team!!!
This place was a treat after childhood visits to KP mall w/my late grandmother. Was hoping to capture the nostalgia and enjoy a delicious slice of pizza as I remember it, but strong rancid odor and cooks talking and breathing over pizza w/o face masks was a turn-off.
We live a couple of blocks away and decided to come here for a slice of pizza and dinner. Pizza is excellent but if you order they might send you a cold one and if you complain the guy on the phone just yells at you. We went more than once to have dinner and we realized that the garlic they put on their dishes must be old because we got sick.
Placed an order online and I was told the order didn’t go through but yet they charged my card. When picking up the food I showed them the charge on my card and they told me I was lying and that I ordered from the wrong franks pizza. I had to open up their website and explain to the two old men how the internet works and that I in fact did use their website.
Haven't been here in years. From what I remember it used to be great. Went today with my boyfriend. Horrible experience. All the staff started eating at a table right next to us which was really uncomfortable. We ordered baked ziti with meatballs and rice ball parm. Ziti plate was filled with water absolutely no taste. So disappointed. $80 check and the best thing was the pre packaged butter they put on the table.
I've been ordering delivery from this restaurant for years. The older man that works there answering the phone needs to be replaced. Rush your call and is nothing but rude. Took me three times to call them to get the total of my order because I was placed on hold or hung up on. So I called and canceled my order. We're in a pandemic still and I'm trying to help by ordering food for my whole family. I don't need someone who doesn't want to work to be rude to me or anyone during a phone order.
Decided to give this place a chance despite two different friends telling me they fell off a long time ago. Had a sick pug that I held in my arms ( straight from the vet) for a quick to go order. Dirty looking manager demanded that dogs are not allowed. I told him that he will be in my arms for the duration of the order and that I was taking my food to go. Dirty man refused and demanded I leave regardless. Jokes on him because I work at an office nearby, where a whole team of us would be ordering large orders multiple times a week. AVOID this clown place.
I came in and ordered two pepperoni slices. Few minutes later the cashier attempted to give me 1 slice with pepperoni, and one plain slice. When I told him, I ordered 2 pepperoni, he responded with an attitude “ we put all the pepperoni in one slice “ I laugh and said these slices are for two different people. Why are you not giving me what I ordered. The cashier proceeded to give me and attitude, and that’s when I took my money back and left. This was my first time and last time there. When you entered the environment, you could tell my kind was not wanted in here. I would never go back there, and will never refer anyone there either
Ordered 2 Sicilian slices , paid hard earned money and the slices were cold as outside . Horrible first experience and will never come back again . Better off throwing your money away . Got my refund , Worst pizza ever
My mother went to this pizzeria this afternoon. He seemed to get angry at the sight of me. She ordered 3 slices of pizza, they left my slices in their while people that came after us were served, we realized when we got home that the pizza was burnt black at the bottom. We asked for a small cup or something to take garlic, red pepper etc they gave us some small packets, so we proceeded to take a little more in a container and the guy YELLED that we already got packets, like how dare we want a little more?? When she asked for a receipt she was not given one. While we cannot tell for sure, it seemed like the attitude was because my mother was wearing a hijab and they didnt like muslims. What we are sure about was that they were extremely rude, hostile and the pizza was almost inedible.
Franks has awesome pizza. Unfortunately I had to stop ordering and going to franks because of ONE PERSON. I have never ever had such a RUDE, NASTY, UNPROFESSIONAL person answer the phone. I have been going to franks for YEARS. This man turned me off franks FOREVER. I called and this man was not only horrible on the phone just once but several times. I tried to give him the benefit of maybe a bad day, but EVERY TIME I called. No more Joe. You will never be rude to me again.
DO NOT GO HERE! Just left this establishment. Quite busy which is to be expected on a Friday night. Waited patiently for several minutes for my turn while the cashier was assisting two women in front of me. In walks another customer who went directly to the counter to look at a menu. When he finished he waited to be served. One of the workers (perhaps the manager) who made eye contact with me SEVERAL times and NEVER even said a hello instantly greeted and assisted the gentleman. As a black customer in an all white establishment WHAT ELSE AM I TO THINK. My business was NOT wanted nor valued there. I immediately walked out. No need to cause a scene. No need to demand respect or service. Our business is NOT wanted there. If this matters to you whoever you are or look like then I URGE you, do NOT invest in this establishment. I'm sure there are plenty of other friendly and welcoming businesses in the area! 2022! Come on already! This is tiring!
Racist — my friend and I arrived and sat down at table and no one came to the table to greet us and ask us if we was ready to order. After 20 mins we decided to leave and no one asked us or even acknowledged us when leaving. If you are African American don’t come here save yourself the time.
