Just had the best group dinner here! I got 15 of my friends to come and eat here because I wanted them to taste soup joumou and the service was amazing!!! She let us do a mini take over of the shop, played music, and had treated our party so well after we went to a restaurant that charged u $67 per head just to have soup for the evening. Her prices were fair and she really put her customers first and I felt really proud to have my friends see the best side of supporting a Haitian business that loves their customers. Definitely will return. I get that Zanmi is well advertised, but Haitian food is ultimately about community. We were scoffed at when we wanted to bring a group. I’m glad there are places like Joenise that give us options for Haitian dining.

Today was my first time eating at this establishment and the staff was very friendly. The food was amazing! True Haitian cuisine 🇭🇹. I had the fried turkey (w peppers, onions & two fried plantain) & black rice, sauce & pikliz on the side. (meal was $15) 😋 SO GOOD! I will be back within this week! I want to try everything!

Let me say first thing first I’m a very harsh critic! I’m Haitian and know real authentic great Haitian food! I have nothing but amazing things to say about Joenise.the food taste very close to a home cooked meal and my mothers,auntie,and grandma house! The food is always fresh always flavorful great portion size! I’ve already order from them on Uber eats about 7 times in a month lol.staff is super friendly I usually call to tell confirm they can fry my meat a little soft I hate over fried pork and they’re always soo pleasant and I enjoy speaking creole to them just super sweet! Definitely a must try I promise you you won’t be disappointed

When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked into the restaurant, and the food was ready. I paid about $18 for the medium size and left. When I dug in, the food was really good. I enjoyed the turker and the black rice. All in all I had a good experience.

Super friendly, intimate ambience for a function. Price and serving size great.

The food was really delicious and abundant, event though I selected the “medium” size portion. The smoothies were also great, we tried number 1 and 16. The music or radio was too loud in my opinion, and it made it hard for me to talk with my party. The attention could have been a little warmer.

The food is on point , but I must say I expected more meat in my order I guess my ex in laws spoiled me (they are Haitian 😉) I ordered the griot and rice and beans with sauce n plantains The rice was fresh n the meat as well definitely would come back

WAITED 30 MINS FOR MY ORDER TO BE DEAD WRONG. As an American born english speaker Evertime I come here it's a problem. I ordered stewed turkey with black rice small for $15 and a large for $25 and it was stewed pork. I felt so disrespected because pork is against my religion. So I brought it back and they wanted to argue me down. To not give me my money back. Turkey has lil flat white bones thru-out the meat. The meat that they gave me had fat on it and resembled a light colored steak. Turkey meat does not resemble steak. And furthermore it had no flat white bones AT ALL!!! They don't have NO RESPECT!!! SO IF U DONT EAT PORK DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR YOUR TIME WORKING HERE. THEY WILL POISON U. I Would give them zero stars.

This restaurant has a bad habit of accepting orders on items they know they don't have then they call the customer to have the customer cancel the order in their end, rather then them canceling on their own. Why accept the order to have the customer do your dirty work? Then try to ask if I want something else. If I wanted something else, I would have ordered it. It is upsetting because this also happened in May, so today is the last time.
