some of the best chinese food in the city and the only chinese takeout I've been where you can order almost anything off the menu. most of the bad reviews are nitpicking, it's just 2-3 people in there feeding the whole neighborhood, so of course there's going to be a rush to get orders in. definitely call ahead if you can, keep in mind it is cash only, no delivery

For years I've eaten Chinese food at various places, but No One comes close to Sue. Her shrimp egg fu young is the best in all of Brooklyn and the gravy is the cherry on top. Consistency the best.

This is the fastest delivery I’ve ever received, sub 10 minutes from closing my app. I was also greeted by the happiest delivery man I’ve ever met. That alone would be enough for me to order again, but it helps that the food is good and quantities large!

Ordered from Uber eats and it came PIPING hot. Amazing. The food itself was literally delicious. Some of the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. Seriously. We had the orange chicken which was crispy and the sauce was perfectly tangy. And the teriyaki chicken which was great! The chicken quality for both dishes was awesome especially for the price. And the amount of food was huge! Go here!!

The pork fried dumplings were great, the veggie fried rice was fantastic and the Chinese spinach with oyster sauce was also great.

Excellent Chinese food, best in all of bed stuy- it’s actually award winning, not just my opinion. The service is commendable, quick, polite and respectful! They are the only Chinese food place offering traditional fried rice with an egg- ask for the Chinatown fried rice, you can get it with shrimp chicken pork or beef or all the above. The plain white rice is amazing Chicken and broccoli is also excellent!

This restaurant has been here forever. The food is delicious but the owner named Sue is still extremely rude and very rushed. If you make your order via the telephone and you hang up and call back to add or change anything, you’re out of luck because your call won’t be answered.

Food is always delicious, I love their fried jumbo shrimp with pork fried rice!!! Highly recommend them.

The spicy eggplant over rice is killer. The small is large enough to fill a grown man's stomach, and for only $7.00, totally worth the wait. I would highly suggest anyone who is going to order to look at the menu, call in the order (speak slowly and clearly), and walk. It takes them typically 15 - 20 minutes from the time you call, depending on the time.

Good, cheap Chinese food take out. No delivery. Homemade dumplings were pretty amazing and the Tsao's Chicken was perfect. Some Chinese food restaurants' white rice is boring and dry, but not Lucky House! Sticky and delicious! Thanks Sue!

Food was good and service is fast. It is CASH ONLY of course. It is not a clean space though. I wish it was more clean and updated.

I will eat from here again, just had a few problems with first experience. I ordered fried shrimp dumplings, scallion pancakes, pork lo mein and garlic shrimp. The dumplings were really good so it gets 5 stars (the sauce was just soy). The scallion pancakes was a 3.5 stars because although they were good, they were also really oily. The sauce was also regular soy sauce which instaed of the usual ponzu sauce. The pork lo mein would've been great of there were more seasoning since it was kind of bland so it gets 3 stars . Now the garlic shrimp gets 2 stars because they gave me shrimp and broccoli with duck sauce. The portion size was generous and would have been enjoyable if it was what I'd ordered but I hate duck sauce and even if it was the brown sauce I would've wanted that either because I ordered and paid for garlic shrimp. I will order from here again but will be VERY clear with my order and check before leaving the store.

I ordered the sesame chicken. To call it mediocre would be very generous. The only reason I gave two stars instead of one is because it was a good portion and cheap at $6. I would not recommend Lucky House.
