Stopped in for lunch at noon. Ordered food and it was on the table within 10 minutes. Sushi was great and the price were good as well. Will definitely come here again!

Edit: Since COVID I think they are using a different supplier for thier products. Some menu items have changed and not everything for the better... We have since stopped going here. They were our go for Chinese.... hopefully soon they can switch back to previous recipes/products. One of the best Chinese places in the area! Prices are very reasonable for portion sizes. Waitresses are always pleasant. Sushi is wonderfully fresh made to order Everytime.

Tiger, California, or rainbow roll . You can not go wrong here. Between 6 and 9pm can be up to a 45 min. wait for take out, so call a little early and give yourself some extra time. It's definitely worth the wait !!

Find this gem in Brookfield CT. Their food is super delicious. Asian cuisine done right. Pork fried rice, with bean sprouts. Dumpling sauce is spot on and egg rolls are crunchy.

This is by far the best Asian food in the area, and we are lucky to have it. It is run by a wonderful family, and the selection of food is excellent (The sushi is wonderful). Delivery is rarely over 30 minutes, and the drivers are friendly. I have ordered from these guys once weekly for the past 3 years and my order has been wrong one time, and they made it right without hesitation. I'd had their amazing takeout, but their dine in experience was mind blowing! Fast, friendly service, comfortable atmosphere, delicious food. But the thing that sets New Ocean Palace apart is the little details. The cute dumpling basket, the delicate butterfly alight on my sushi plate (see pictures) all made for an especially pleasant dinner. I'll definitely continue to frequent this as a favorite spot!

This place has made some serious changes. I haven’t been here in over a couple years and just got sushi here for the second time in a week! It’s amazing now! The spicy tuna was awesome, the eel avocado roll was fresh and large, packed with eel. The tobiko sushi was super fresh and a great portion, just a fantastic place and great prices as well! So well done New Ocean Palace, and keep up the good work! Looking forward to weekly takeout sushi here.

It is nice to have a great place so close to home. We have been ordering (mostly takeout) from New Ocean Palace for 2 years now and have never had a wrong order. Friendly staff, quick to complete your order and delicious food. Our 3 kids love it just as much as we do!

This literally is the best Chinese in CT. I don’t know how they do it but the quality and work they put into their dishes is absolutely incredible. This food even tops China Town in Boston.

I had been going to other Chinese restaurants in the area but recently switched to New Ocean Palace. I feel like you get more food that is much better quality than other places around. The staff is always friendly. Love their food and the portions. Have not had a bad meal yet!

I think it has the best Chinese cuisine around. Family run, nice people, great chef. If you're ordering during covid, give yourself some time, they get busy on weekends and its a long line, it moves quickly but if its hot, rainy or murder hornets.... just be prepared. One more thing, its well worth your wait.

This is, and has been our go-to for great Chinese food. The portions are large, and we can't honestly say we've had anything we didn't like. And, not to mention, being relatively new to sushi, I love their spicy crab rolls! Take out only, stopped the dine in during covid, and never restarted, my reason for the 4, on atmosphere. No reason to not give them a try.

This was my second time ordering takeout from New Ocean Palace Restaurant in Brooklyn Connecticut. This is going to be my go to spot in this area from now on. Sometimes I'm in this area of the state for work. Both times I ordered were delicious. When you order sesame or General Tsos chicken you can expect to get a hot, crispy, flavorful meal. Im a big fan of chinese lunch specials and I have to say they are very generous with their portions for the price. Service was professional and attentive. I can say that both times they knocked it out of the park, so they are consistent too!

The food here is always delicious! The only minor downside is that I often have to remind them to include the salad and soup with the sushi veggie combo. Truly no other word aside from OUTSTANDING. I moved back up north a little over a year ago and have been on the search for the best Chinese food and truthfully, have found it here. The orange chicken 11/10 the sesame chicken 11/10 the pork fried rice 100/10. Don’t get me started on the pan friend dumplings. Next i want to mention the quantity vs. price. The amount of food you get with one combination plate can serve 2/3 meals for 1 person. The price is extremely affordable, somewhat shocking for the amount and how amazing the food is. Lastly i will state the staff. Amazing customer service when taking a take-out order over the phone. AND big props to the handsome young gentleman always working the register, always has a smile and wonderful vibe! Needless to say - i have been ordering takeout from this incredible place 1x a week and will continue! YOU should try it too! Best of luck 🤞🏼

We searched for fantastic Chinese food in our new hometown and we finally found it! Tasty food, served hot. They even did a little custom ordering on the pork fried rice for us. 😊 It's a busy restaurant but that's always a good sign and it was worth the wait!

This place used to be the place to avoid back in the day, but they've since gotten new management (or so I've been told) and they're amazing now! Wait times are always reasonable, and the portions are huge, but they make awesome leftovers. Not sure how their Pad Thai stacks up compared to Pad Thai from an actual Thai place, but boy howdy is it good - I get it all the time! I'd also recommend their beef teriyaki sticks and their General Tso's, although it runs on the spicy side (fair warning for those who aren't used to having it this way). There have been times where I'll try to call and the call keeps getting dropped, but it's easy enough to order online, so it's not really an issue. Atmosphere is what you'd expect at a Chinese takeout place, but the dining room is used as a storage area instead of a dining room, which is a little off-putting but easily overlooked. Overall this is a great place and a hidden gem for the Quiet Corner.

Honestly can't rate this place high enough. The food is always delicious and the staff is polite and prompt with the food. I know they've had to be a bit up and down with their delivery service since covid hit, but it is *well worth* going to pick up your food. The sushi is tasty and fresh. The food here is always stellar, as well as the service. Take out is great too, they're very timely in preparing the orders, but be sure to ask for the condiments you'll need, those don't always seem to make it in the bag! You can also order from an app called Beyond Menu, and either pay in app or pay upon picking up your food. It works great and you get an email when your order is ready!

Their prices are incredibly affordable and staff is prompt and courteous. With generous portions , a willingness to allow substitutions on their combination meals and ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS SOUPS this hidden gem is worth checking out when you're in the area. Lunch is my personal favourite, it seems to be less crowded.

The food was very good but it's a shame that you can't currently dine in, it looked like it would be a nice place to go but I suspect the pandemic and lack of staff won't allow this. Anyway their take out business is very popular. I ordered on line but wasn't able to pay for it that way once my order was complete? Would be quicker for everyone if you could please?

A bit pricey for this area with on and off good service. Our go-to place locally for Chinese and sushi. Check your take out before you leave, as they get quite busy and miss something now and then. I recommend the Singapore mei fun!

The vegetable sushi is fantastic! I can't comment on any other food. We used to enjoy dining in- the staff was pleasant and service good. We really wish they would open up for dining in again. The pick up is wasteful of plastic and there is next to no place to wait if your order isn't ready.

Good food but very pricey for Asian cuisine spent over 50$ on dinner when it's 30 for exact same any other Asian place and it wasn't any better or worse. But for locals in Brooklyn and pomfret it's decent

No inside sit down. Hard to find parking , small parking area. Went in to pick up an order, stood there while 3 servers behind the counter saw me and left me standing there.

The food is always good with take out we are there the other night and found a hair in our rice and the woman was trying to tell us it's from us I have no hair and I'm the one that put the rice on my wife's plate but the guy that owns it took care of us. The sashimi we got which was b51 was incredible

Food is usually great. Three times we ordered and paid for extra shrimp. Three times we have received no extra. Each time I specifically asked for, and was reassured I'd get it. Two times in person I explained the situation and was charged again. I'm usually satisfied but am angry at this situation.

Food is pretty good, but please please PLEASE check your order before you leave!!! Order is right maybe 1 out of every 5 times. I am actually eating something I didn't order while writing this review.

Busy place. Lots of takeout orders set to go. The portions were very generous and price competitive. The primary dish had nice flavor and the food was hot. Unfortunately the large order of boneless spareribs was very overcooked. However that won't stop me from going back.

Not very good imo, I always smell it when I stop at this plaza at other stores and it always smells so good so I figured one night we would try it. The food overall lacked flavor and just didn't taste that great.

The food is always good, but today I was very disappointed, my order got messed up twice. I had to go back to get another order and when I got home it was still wrong.

I placed an order for two specialty sushi rolls and asked for them to be placed in separate containers, I did not receive soy sauce for either dish and only one of my dishes came with ginger and wasabi. I just feel like since covid the price of everything went up but the quality went down. Who eats sushi without soy sauce, either as a palate cleanser or a dipping option!? The sushi tasted good but for 30$ it was a small amount and wasn’t worth it .

Usually a very good, something didn't go right in the the kitchen as 2 meals came out just warm in temperature while the other 2 meals didn't get to our table for another 15 minutes. When the second 2 meals were delivered, those meals were also just warm at best...certainly not the usual meals served here. The waitress was very apologetic but did not know why all 4 meals came out to the way table warm at best. When the issue was discussed with the owners, all they said was that they were sorry but made no effort to even partially remedy the problem...overall a very disappointing meal.

Just a fair warning I had to wait in line about 20 people long out the door in the heat for about 20 to 25 minutes just to get in the door. And after waiting in line that long and being there 20 minutes late to pick up my order because of the line I still had to wait 10 minutes inside because my food wasn't ready. The sushi was good. But don't go on a hot day.

With a heavy heart, I must share that the new ocean Palace is no longer great…. They use to have the best steamed dumplings and the best wonton soup and I can say that the dumplings these days kind of suck and I haven’t tried the wonton soup again….. It’s not really worth going to this restaurant anymore it’s really no-longer really a restaurant now it’s just a takeout spot…... So they no longer have atmosphere. It’s just a generic takeout Chinese place……. I’m gonna say before Covid this restaurant was great. The atmosphere was awesome but not anymore and I will not go back because the food quality has gone way down.

The food here is the best in the area. The sushi is fresh and well prepared, and their entrées are better than most. The alcohol selection is modest but well done. This would be a five star review except the service is terrible. The server (there always seema to be one, the only one) is rude and inpatient. The online order system is a joke, many times I've been there to pick at the time and have waited 45+ for my order. I'd like to say calling it in is a better option for takeout, but even then they get your order wrong. So basically if you want very good food with a horrid dining (or take out experience) this is the place for you.

As far as the food it is decent. The sushi is good. The wait staff are unprofessional and sarcastic about their customers behind closed doors. They have a horrible wait when ordering take out from them....if they say 30 minutes, you better make it 55 minutes. Literally 4 times I have waited in there over a half hour longer than told from the owner.

This place is very dirty. The dinning room needs to be thoroughly cleaned. I can just imagine what the kitchen looks like. Questioning if I should eat the food I just ordered?

Used to go here all the time. Things changed around Covid and the quality severely went down. I think new owners took over? Crab rangoons had little filling, teriyaki was paper thin to the point of being crunchy, general tsos was more breading than meat, egg rolls bland and wet. Chicken fingers meat quality was rubbery. Number One Kitchen is now better for Chinese in the area.

Incredibly poor service ruined this restaurant for me. Ordered a small scorpion bowl to share, a water, a soda, an appetizer, meal, two sushi rolls and an order to go. The small scorpion bowl came out in a glass with one straw. When I expressed my confusion the waitress said she could pour it into a bowl, bring another straw or another small scorpion bowl. Don't bother with the small if you're looking to share, it comes in a glass. I'm not even sure why they would even bother advertising this as a 'bowl.' The meal came out and was finished before the sushi, which was ordered as my meal, was ever brought to the table. When we finally got the attention of the waitress, we asked for our check and our take out, and the waitress stated the WRONG order was being put in for us. We then had to pay for our meal at the table and then, go to the register immediately afterwards and pay for the take out. The sushi was good but, they use the mushy stuff, not the whole fish like I prefer with sushi. Also, I noticed that when the guests next to us left, the table was not cleaned even after twenty minutes. All in all, I won't be returning again anytime soon, if ever. There are better restaurants in the area with much better quality and service.

I ordered pork lomein, it was slimy!, Pork fried rice that had tons of large fatty chunks, and chicken fingers that were inedibly hard chicken. We had to throw it all away. Very disappointing..

The food is good but the service is absolutely awful! Very rude people who pick up the phone and this is not the first time. I would not be ordering from here if it weren't the only place around where I live that does delivery. Today's service was absolutely awful. They got my boyfriends and I's order wrong which we understand that accidents happened so we called and this lady who picked up actually blamed my boyfriend and said we never ordered it! And when we explained that we did order it she said it would take an hour to come here, and when my boyfriend said okay thats fine she said okay and hung up. Absolutely rude. They really need to step up how they talk to customers and how they deal with situations.

Placed my order for delivery took longer than time the they had said when my order showed up we where missing parts of the order. Called the resturant and was placed on hold for 20 mins they asked if we wanted a refund or the things missing of couse we wanted the food we had orderd. They told us 45 mins and they would deliver our items, well they never showed up. This is not the this has happend but will be the last.

Would have gave it negative stars but wasn't a option. So it gets 1 it's a nasty restaurant food is either warm or cold the service is horrible and rude. If you tell them ylthem messed up your order they try to make it your fault and act like they are doing you the favor by fixing it. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and I do that anytime someone ask about Chinese food I say don't go to ocean palace unless you want warm to cold food and pieces of metal in your food or uncook food.

Do not order takeout from here. I have been there several times always giving this place the benefit of the doubt because the food is descent, not great, but descent. For some reason, whenever I order takeout, they cannot get an order right, even with explicit instructions to double check the order. One time we ordered chicken fingers, they gave us spare ribs. Another time, one of the main dishes was completely missing. My most recent visit, we ordered 2 of the 3 roll lunches for my kids and they were both missing one set of rolls. Now this might be overlooked if when I called to mention the error they were gracious and refunded for the error, but they were rude and insisted they gave us the rolls - when I was looking right at the order and there were no 3rd rolls there. She then proceeded to tell me to come back and get them. When I told her we were on lunch break and could not come back, the woman on the phone continued to argue with me telling me the chef said they were there. There was obviously no point in arguing and certainly no credit given for being a repeat customer. I am sorely disappointed in this place because of the sheer lack of empathy and the sheer lack of good customer service. I will not go back.

My boyfriend and I are regulars, and the food is super good. However, since we use delivery we have slight differences in quality. After finding hair cooked into the food, twice, we were hesitant to come back. We ordered again several months later, and all was good. HOWEVER, the food we received this afternoon was UNACCEPTABLE. Enjoying our meal, I pick up a dumpling, and bite into it. I heard a loud crunch, and I proceed to take, what i assumed was a bone, from my mouth. It was a black screw. I sat in shock, and when I called to alert the restaurant "would you like more good or a credit?" We are disgusted. We won't be ordering from them again. Think twice about cleanliness.

Where to start... decor was dirty and very unorganized, as in stock stored on the serving floor; Service was good, but our waitress was alone and overwhelmed. Scorpion Bowl was awful🤢 Asked for Tangueray and tonic...nope, no idea what we were talking about. Sushi (which was great!)came AFTER our meal, one dinner was hot, one not even lukewarm. We will never go back!

Absolutely Horrible !!!! Waited 25 minutes just to get greeted and get our drinks. We ordered through the online system at 4:46 pm on a Sunday and were told our order would be delivered by 5:37. At 5:55 we still had not recieved it so my husband called to check our order status. The woman was very rude and said we needed to "give them more time, it takes at least 45 minutes!" My husband politely responded that it had been over 45 minutes and they claimed they hadn't received the order until 5:20. My husband said no problem and the woman told him the food was on the way. At 6:45 we still had not received it. I called back at this point and reported that we had ordered food 2 hours earlier and still had not received it. They told me to hold, then came back and said there was no order under our name and address. I explained to the woman that she had just talked to my husband and told him the food was on the way an hour ago. She stated "oh no, there must be a mistake, we don't have an order for you." The service was awful and they were very rude. We received an email confirmation of our online, a confirmation number, and a delivery time. I don't understand how they can claim not to have received an order and then be so rude to us after we spent over $80 on their food. The woman ended the conversation by saying "if" they had our order she would just cancel it--after over 2 hours of waiting.

Went for New Year's Eve 2015 ... Was told they ran out of Chinese Hot Tea Was told no refill on Chinese noodles due to New Years Eve ... Shrimp in the lobster sauce still had the tails on them. Sweet and Sour chicken was hard and hardly any sauce Overall. Terrible food and terrible service

Terrible! Mostly a take-out place, and it shows. Waiter surly, impolite, served food so fast I had to send my cold miso soup back because it was cold - not tepid but downright cold. The sashimi was so cold it was still frozen inside. No effort given to presentation. Time before this, never got the soup. A friend and I ordered drinks which we waited for for 15 minutes, she changed her drink order, and we got 3 drinks! Had to go into kitchen to find the waitress. Never going back!

My fiancé and I used to be regulars here.. mostly for the sushi. Tonight we ordered take out and I tried the veggie dumplings which I naturally assumed would only contain veggies. I found multiple pieces of chicken in the first dumpling that I bit in to so I called to ask what exactly was in the veggie dumplings. They had no idea and argued tooth and nail that what I found in my dumpling was not chicken and it had to be tofu or cabbage. I told them I am a vegetarian and I eat a lot of tofu and cabbage and what I found is for sure not either of those. So then they told me that they order these dumplings from a company so they don't really know what's in them. When I asked for the name of the company they said "I think they come from Japan". WHAT?! Well they lost a customer after that. First of all they don't know what's in the food they're serving.. as well as they don't even know where the food is coming from! Who knows how fresh that food really is. I'm extremely disappointed because we would eat here on a regular basis and now it makes me sick wondering what I've been eating this whole time.

I’ve been going to this place for year and have spoken very highly of it. Recommend it to everyone that listen until last Saturday. I had fly poop on my food. Yes Maggots!!! When I returned after driving for a half hour to get back with my ENTIRE order. I explained showed them pictures and proof. They couldn’t make any logic of what we had brought to their attention. Instead of apologizing they became arrogant, combative and refused to acknowledge what we were showing them. Again me my family and friends and have been supporting this place for years. The food was always great, but this one time could have been resolved with some acknowledgment, appreciation for my long loyalty and RESPECT! You served my family food with MAGGOTS (we have PICTURES for proof) and had the nerve to still act as I wanted something for nothing. What I want you can’t give, at least to someone that looks like me!

I have been here a few times. The food is good but I had a bad experience last time I ordered. I had to wait an extra 25 minutes for my order (was suppose to be 30 minutes, ended up being an hour). After I got home I realized my order was missing a few items, I reached out to the restaurant, call and then wrote them an email explaining what happened and asking for a refund for the incomplete order. Now I support small business as much as I can but I do not support dishonesty. The least the restaurant could have done is refunded me the amount for the missing items, even with the long wait, and it would have been fine. I will no longer visit this business.

I went yesterday with my son and picked up 2 dinner plates and crab Rangoon. I only ate the crab Rangoon and I have been sick since last night and it 2:00 pm. Everyone else has been running in and out of the bathroom with the runs so it is obviously connected to the food. No one had a problem until eating and ever since. The price was $52.00 which expensive for what we got . The crab Rangoon had a small amount of cream cheese and I don’t think there was any crab meat. Very bland. If you like being healthy, stay away from there and all Chinese restaurants lately from what I’ve had after Covid.

The crunchy noodles I ordered were not crunchy, they felt old and rubbery like they have been sitting all day, the roast pork chow mein was weird and tasted like to much beef bullion was used, and the sushi was off. I got spicy yellow tuna it had no spice and tastes like cat food, the tuna felt dried out and old, the tuna and mango was not good either the white rice felt like minute rice and was mush and not even packed like you expect white rice to be packed (to the top). This place was so good before but now it’s just sad. You can’t dine in anymore and the quality in just gone.
