Opinions de Sunday in Brooklyn Brooklyn
The place is forever popular, always a waiting line but we were lucky today. My friends first time here and he liked every bit of it, the food and atmosphere. The pancakes are good as usual whenever I want my fill. It's bit sweet for my personal taste but it's really fluffy which is the best part of it.
What a great spot!! We came here for a lovely dinner that most certainly did NOT disappoint! Sunday in Brooklyn is a delightful little corner spot that seems small initially, but actually has plenty of seating throughout - including in an upstairs space. Regardless, we were promptly seated (without a reservation) in a table downstairs, and had very friendly, hospitable service throughout our visit. While dining, we ordered a few of the cocktails, and I found each one I tried to be a good amount of strength while also creative in the flavors and heat. My personal favorite was the Ski Lift, which is a hot cocktail with bourbon, coffee, and other ingredients - soooo soothing, STRONG, and flavorful! Now on to main event - the food! My wood-fired lasagna was INCREDIBLE - so much flavor, texture, and uniqueness to each bite. My partner's chicken pot pie was similarly unique and yet familiar in its excellent textures and taste! Sunday in Brooklyn had a wonderful ambiance, lovely food, and great service - I highly recommend!
I've been to Sunday in Brooklyn several times for both brunch and dinner. Brunch certainly gets busy but its a fun time - make a reservation. The food, service and drinks are always lovely - Thomas the bartender is incredible! I recommend trying the Sage Fright brunch cocktail, the Wood Roasted Half Chicken for dinner and the S'mores soft serve for dessert. The S'mores latte is fun too for all the s'mores fans.
The pancake. Good lord in heavens. This is the best pancake I’ve ever had in my life and I’m afraid I’ll be dreaming about this pancake. The eggs were delicious, the POTATOS… oh lord beautifully seasoned. This place is a pure gem. One of the best breakfast I’ve ever had, no doubt.
If I had to describe Sunday in Brooklyn in 2 words it would be “quiet luxury”. This place was such a gem to find as a tourist looking for a breakfast/brunch option that wasn’t in the city. We spent the morning in Brooklyn and absolutely loved it. Definitely worth making a reservation. This was one of the most detail oriented restaurant experience I’ve ever had. We were celebrating my sister’s birthday and upon arrival they had a birthday card for her, and had the cutest candle set up with a cinnamon roll after we ordered. We got the breakfast sandwich, the scramble plate (can’t remember the exact name) and the honey cheddar biscuit (which we unanimously agreed was the best biscuit we’ve ever had and almost asked about shipping to Ohio, lol) and multiple specialty beverages. Even the bill came in a cute block with a plant stem. We didn’t even care how much it was because it was so cute, haha. For an experience breakfast as a foodie, can’t recommend enough.
Brunch was delicious, service was great with good recommendations. I thought the pancake would be too sweet but it wasn’t any sweeter than a typical pancake with syrup and tasted like a griddle maple pancake-cake… very good. The star was the shakshouka though; that was so good with the perfect hint of spice.
The pancakes had a lot of hype to them and surpassed it. The texture from the pecan and the brown sugar syrup was unique and thick in a good way. We split a single stack to start and got for entrees we got the egg, potato and sausage sandwich and the blt. When I go back I’ll make sure to do a double stack pancakes for sure.
Loved the vibes, service, good, and drink. We had the pancake which was enormous but tasted so good especially with its hazelnut chocolate topping. The marshmallow latte was so good. Service was quick and very professional; I would not hesitate to recommend the place and would love to go back again and again to try other dishes
I met a friend here while I was in town and loved the experience! The restaurant opened promptly at 8am, and even with a line out front, we were seated quickly. Service was fast and friendly from start to finish. My friend had the fruit parfait, and I had the cheese scramble with bacon — everything was delicious! I do wish the bacon had been a bit crispier, but it was still tasty. The hash browns were perfectly golden and reminded me of McDonald’s (in the best way!). Super cute spot with great food and energy — definitely worth a visit!
Visited Sunday in Brooklyn for brunch and honestly, wow. We got the pistachio hummus with wood-fired flatbread — probably the richest, most flavorful meze I’ve ever had. A total must-try (and so generous we couldn’t even finish it!). Also ordered the warm grain bowl, and it arrived in what felt like 5 minutes — unbelievably fast service. The bowl itself was pure comfort: warm, rich, and beautifully balanced. The eggs were cooked like a soufflé — soft and melting — topped with a gigantic half avocado and a generous handful of pepitas (which I love and rarely see done this well). The rice underneath was so delicious. Finished with a cappuccino, served instantly in a lovely porcelain cup — the perfect touch to end brunch. Our server was incredibly kind and attentive, checking in often to make sure everything was perfect. Honestly, one of the best brunch experiences we’ve had in
The service amazing. For 2 people they offered a 2 person table, outside or inside, they sat us right away. The food was Fast and tasted fresh. Eggs were done perfectly, soft scrambled, bacon crispy, potatoes were a little too salty, and the shakshuka was a little disappointing, like salsa with pouched eggs, but the bread was crisp and yummy when dipped into the bowl. However, the Sunday pancake was amazing. It’s was like a mini fluffy yellow cake with delicious buttered maple all over. not a maple taste but like a chocolaty buttery nutty flavor. “It was like a reward”. We enjoyed it the most. Overall we understand the hype and definitely recommend to try it for yourself.
Great find for brunch in Brooklyn! I’m visiting family in town and decided to meet my bestie who lives in Queens for brunch. We searched for breakfast spots nearby and found Sunday in Brooklyn because of its high ratings and appealing menu options. As a former brunch server, I first discovered shakshuka at my old restaurant and instantly fell in love with the robust flavors and perfectly runny poached eggs. While I’m usually an American breakfast type of person, I occasionally love to branch out and try something more adventurous. The Experience: • No wait time - we were seated immediately outside (wasn’t asked about seating preference, though I would have loved to sit inside and check out the interior decor) • Perfect for people watching while catching up with friends • Our server Cameron was overall kind and sweet, though he seemed a bit overwhelmed during busy moments and missed a few requests - had to ask the server assistant for help with some items • Small note: servers should introduce themselves by name (I had to ask for his name after ordering, as I like to greet people personally) What We Ordered: • Oat milk masala chai - delicious and beautifully presented • S’mores latte - gorgeous display • Shakshuka with extra homemade focaccia bread (needed every drop of that amazing sauce!) - loved it, though next time I’d skip the feta • Hazelnut praline pancakes and BLT for my friend The portion sizes are generous and satisfying. I’m definitely planning to come back with my partner to explore more of the menu - there’s so much I want to try! Highly recommend for anyone looking for quality brunch with interesting options beyond typical American breakfast fare.

Had brunch here. Very nice service and very good food. Large servings and very tasty. Nice ambience and indoor and outdoor seating
We went here to make our friend baby Steven Morey’s dreams come true. We got a bunch of stuff. We split a table pancake. I got myself the biscuits and gravy, onion soup and a hot chocolate to warm up. Ya know? Food was good. Some may have been overhyped, but it was good none the less. Enjoyed time with friends and that’s all that matters in these cold months. It made our friend baby steve’s dreams come true.
We love pancakes, and made brunch reservations on a Monday around 1pm and were seated immediately. I was surprised by how busy it was for a Monday, it’s clearly a neighborhood favorite. We came for the pancakes and shared a double stack of the Sunday Pancakes and the egg and cheese sandwich. Both were great choices. The pancakes had a lovely balance of nutty and sweet with a soft, fluffy texture (the edges were crispy which I appreciate). The egg sandwich stood out for the crispy hash brown, soft egg although personally, I would’ve preferred a softer bun like brioche over sourdough. Next time, we’ll definitely do a single stack and a sandwich to share, or a double stack and skip the sandwich. Bonus: they make a really good s’mores latte. Our server was great but they could have been more intentional with the order in which dishes arrived at the table however this is on our list of favorite pancake spots. I definitely recommend.
I’ve been to Sunday in Brooklyn many times for both brunch and dinner. The service can be a bit up-and-down...we’ve even had a dish come out with a hair in it once; and the host stand isn’t always the warmest. That said, the brunch is definitely my favorite, even though it gets very busy. Their winter onion soup is a must during fall season, and most of the brunch menu is consistently delicious.
First visit to Sunday in Brooklyn (fittingly, on a Sunday). We grabbed an outdoor table for two right away — surprising, since I expected the place to be packed. The vibe outside was great on a nice day. What we ordered: • Cheddar Scramble – Eggs with Long Island home fries, multigrain toast, and avocado. • Sunday Pancakes™ – Hazelnut maple praline, brown butter (we went with a double stack). • I added an iced mocha (okay), and I skipped the OJ since it didn’t look freshly squeezed. The food? Solid but not mind-blowing. Scramble was fine, pancakes were sweet and indulgent, but overall it landed closer to a 3/5 than a “wow.” Drinks were passable. Why 4 stars instead of 3? Quick seating, outdoor ambiance, and the novelty of hitting Sunday in Brooklyn on a Sunday. Food wasn’t bad — just not destination-worthy. Would come back if I’m nearby and curious to try something else. Last visited: August 24, 2025
I went here for late brunch/lunch and recommend you make a reservation. It’s definitely a good spot to share and try things. I liked everything we ordered and definitely with there was more of the delicious pancake sauce. The bathrooms/line are a bit inconvenient for lines/food passage way. It’s a good crowd pleaser suitable for 2+ people.

The food was a bit hit-or-miss. The burger was good, but the fries were overly salty. I felt pretty indifferent about the pancake, and the French toast wasn’t great. Both the latte and coffee were served lukewarm, which was disappointing. That said, the service really stood out our party arrived late for our reservation, and the staff was very accommodating. Server was great. The inside was also nicely decorated for the holidays, creating a warm atmosphere. Overall, I wouldn’t be reluctant to go back, but it wouldn’t be my first choice either. I really wish we could give 1/2 stars. Food was more of a 3.5.
