The food was delicious and the atmosphere was cozy. We ordered the biscuits and gravy, the Sunday pancakes, and a hot chocolate. I would recommend all three. The pancakes were super fluffy. We asked for the hot sauce on the side for the biscuits and gravy, but I ended up adding it in as it really added to the dish. When the bill came, I got excited that they were giving us a plant clipping to take home… it was just for show.

Like the flavor and variety. The pancakes were sooo good and sweet. Fresh salads with lots of color available. I got the breakfast sausage scramble and enjoyed it. Good place for coffee and brunch. Sat at the outdoor table with fans, which was warm but not too bad.

Came for a few mimosas on a Saturday morning. Sat at the bar. Ordered the strawberry mimosa and a peach mimosa. Both were great. Fast and friendly service. Great vibe. Clean. Will be back to try food if in the area.

You have a feeling that the food is going to be good when you go there before it opens and there’s already a line out the door. so you have to get their on time or you will be waiting a long time to sit. The food is definitely worth it. it’s popular for their Pancakes. They’re big oversized fluffy and you can order them individually. One, two or three. The avocado toast was awesome as well. it was so worth it. Service was great and the place filled up within 30 minutes of it opening. I’ve been here a few times and the same thing happened.

Came here because I saw a reel on instagram of someone recreating the famous pancakes almost a year ago and couldn’t stop thinking about it. I’m from Iowa but my boyfriend lives close to the city so I waited until I came to visit and requested we go here for brunch. The service was quick and the rest of the food was great as well but the pancakes stole the show!! My boyfriend and I have veryyyy different tastes in food and we have never agreed on something we both love- until now. One pancake between the two of us was more than enough. We drove over an hour each way from Long Island to get there, but we agreed it was worth it. If you ever have the chance to try this spot and their famous pancakes I highly recommend it!!

Cannot say enough good things about this place. It’s a cute place in Brooklyn. The food is 10/10, service is 10/10 and the aesthetics is 100/10!! What a perfect spot to have a brunch on weekends with your girlfriends.. Will be going back again!

Omg if you are in Brooklyn you have to eat here! We went in on a Sunday for brunch, got seated right away and had the best service and food. Their coffee is delicious , mezcal Bloody Mary is divine and the food! We had Ofira’s pita ( light and fluffy like a cloud) and hummus, watermelon salad, breakfast sausage and the Shakshuka. The flavors were so beautifully balanced and the entire meal was so satisfying. We wiped our plates clean and will be back when we visit Brooklyn. Amazing❤️

Some really excellent drinks at this lovely spot! I highly recommend sitting outside so you can people watch on a nice day… And get the pancakes they’re sick and sweet and the best way and not necessarily a pancake per se more like a dessert cake but definitely worth it!

My mom and I went for dinner here (which was amazing) and immediately got reservations for brunch the next day (which was even better). The food is so unique, inventive, and delicious and the staff is so friendly! One of the chefs came up to talk to us at our table both times we visited. They were also very thoughtful and accommodating towards my dairy sensitivity. Definitely coming back next time i’m in the area!

Cozy place for nice brunch , great seating area and service. The food and dishes were delicious and prefect specially the OFIRA'S PITA & HUMMUS with the fresh serving bread.

I chose this spot on a whim, and it turned out to be one of the best breakfasts my friends and I have had in a long time. We were seated quickly outside, and the service was consistently attentive and prompt. We enjoyed some brunch cocktails and coffee while waiting for our food. We tried the cheddar scrambler, avocado toast, egg and cheese sandwich, and biscuits and gravy. Everything was absolutely delicious. The eggs were light and fluffy, and everything was beautifully plated. My boyfriend’s egg and cheese sandwich was huge, with a crispy hash brown that he loved. I sampled it and agree—it was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had in ages. The portions were generous, leaving us completely satisfied. I’m so disappointed I’m not from New York. I’ll be dreaming of this place until my next visit!

Nestled in the heart of Williamsburg, Sunday in Brooklyn offers an inviting mix of cozy charm and culinary creativity. The vibe is effortlessly stylish—think warm wood accents, natural light, and a buzz of weekend energy. But let’s get to the real star of the show: the pancakes. These aren’t your average brunch flapjacks. Sunday in Brooklyn’s signature hazelnut maple praline pancakes are legendary for good reason. Towering, fluffy, and rich, they’re served with a glossy drizzle of praline syrup that’s deeply nutty and slightly smoky, cutting through the sweetness in the best way. The edges have a subtle crispness, while the center remains pillowy—perfectly cooked every time. The rest of the menu holds its own, with seasonal produce and inventive takes on brunch classics, but the pancakes steal the spotlight. Whether you're a Williamsburg local or just passing through, Sunday in Brooklyn is worth a detour for that stack alone. Just be ready to wait—it’s a popular spot, and for good reason.

I can see why this place is rated so well..they are absolutely doing something right when it comes to food and service. The ambiance is absolutely beautiful. Very cozy, great menu options even for vegetarians. Did not try their cocktails but will be back. We were lucky to get a table on a Friday afternoon as a walk-in; there was a line out the door. Great experience overall!

Yummyyyy the Egg & Cheese sandwich was delicious! Need to start my day with the maple cheddar biscuit more often. Loved the iced mocha also, chocolate milk vibes.

My friend and I were visiting for my birthday. Someone recommended this spot for brunch, and I'm so glad they did. It was so quaint and pretty. We sat in the greenhouse, and it was spacious and not hot. The servers were so nice and gave fantastic recommendations! I got a really cute card for my birthday that was so sweet! And the food..... immaculate!! I had one of the burgers, and it was by far the best burger I've ever had. My friend had the spicy chicken sandwich and she didn't talk the whole meal because of how good it was. We both agreed we'd be back the next time we're in Brooklyn.

Sunday in Brooklyn was everything and more ☺️. I’ve been wanting to come to this restaurant for yearsssss. Finally I decided to take myself on a date after my first facial by Muse Haven (review coming up) and I so happy I did. Service was on point. Drinks were great! The Cesar salad 🤤topped with the grilled shrimp was amazing. The shrimp was seasoned to perfection. Last but not least the infamous pancake that reminded me of cornbread was delicious!!!! Would I come back? Yes. Yes I will 👌🏾

The best shakshuka I’ve ever tasted! The explosion of bold flavors was simply comforting and unforgettable. Let’s not forget to mention their cappuccino, which I had with almond milk and no sugar, was exceptional just like that! The cozy ambiance made for a perfect setting, with great background music, just the right volume to enjoy conversation without straining to hear. The service was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall warmth of the place. I’ve found my new favorite brunch spot and would totally recommend it to anyone looking for delicious food in a welcoming environment!

Everything was great! Food was delicious! I ordered the spaghettini. The clams were great! One minor thing was that the pasta seemed overloaded with cheese. The wings were decent! Covered in sauce but maybe that is how they do them because the meat inside was very moist which was different than most wings as they sometimes can be dry and the sauce has to make up for it. Atmosphere was great! Out door seating area was very relaxing! A great place to take friends, SO, or family! All of the above! Service seemed slightly delayed but that is because we went at peak dinner times so a slight delay is expected in most restaurants.

This was my first time dining at Sunday in Brooklyn and honestly it will not be my last. The atmosphere was chill and relaxing. Very calm and inviting. The service was top-tier. The staff is just point blank amazing. Now, the food. The food wasn't just good it was "excellent" Everything I had was a 10. The pancakes were fluffy and not too sweet and just filling. The butter and sauce complimented the pancakes perfectly. The Chicken sandwich was fantastic. The flavors blended well on a toasted flaky bun. I will definitely be returning. Thank you for an excellent anniversary lunch.

great brunch place ! we ordered three dishes to share and they did not disappoint. the breakfast sandwich with the hash brown was really tasty (however they said it would be served with a potato bun but we got a sesame one). the pancakes were as i imagined, sweet, fluffy and caramelized. i was scared that it would be too much but they were surprisingly light. then we had a shakshouka which was very flavourful ! the waiter was very friendly and made us feel welcome. would definitely come back during my next trip ! it was definitely on the pricier side because we also had a drink but it was worth it :)

Not sure why this place doesn’t have an hour wait to get in- it was that good. The IG worthy Sunday Pancakes are not overhyped- the live up to it and the some. Crispy, soft, buttery, and the hazelnut is a perfect balance of savory to balance the sweet. Chef’s kiss. Not to be outdone was the shakshuka with focaccia. My only complaint is I wanted more of that focaccia! Such a perfect bite to soak up the stewy goodness of the shakshuka and runny eggs. I know I’m not highlighting the salad because, let’s be honest, people don’t come to read about salad- but it was also excellent. We added some fried chicken for decadence, but the salad was flavorful and not over dressed. The meal was heavenly. I only wish my stomach had more room to try it all! Will definitely go back.

I’ve been wanting to try this pancake ever since I saw it on the Insider Food channel on YouTube, and it didn’t disappoint! The place is cozy, the staff are very attentive, and the food is fantastic. We were a party of two and ordered the Breakfast Cheddar Scramble. The eggs were perfectly cooked - soft and creamy - and the bacon had amazing flavour. They also happily accommodated my request to swap the potatoes for a salad, which I really appreciated. The highlight, of course, was the pancake. It was slightly crispy on the outside and super soft on the inside. The syrup paired perfectly with the butter on top. We ordered a double, but the pancakes are huge, and we couldn’t finish both of them. Definitely a great spot for breakfast!

feel like dinner here is underrated. got the the coconut shrimp, spinach artichoke pita, mediterranean salad, rib eye, and lasagna. all bangers. (did not take pic of ribeye or lasagna, gobble gobble too fast) dessert was also fire - smores soft serve and bananas foster. fat W for this place

I've been to Sunday a few times in the last year or so and every single time is a delight! The food is delicious and has a wide variety of options; the service impeccable (shoutout to Nico and Steven for making me feel like a regular!); and the vibes are immaculate! I came here alone the first time but every trip i try and bring someone new: Polina the manager even came and chatted with my mom and I when i brought her along! I really only leave reviews when a place is really good to me (or so terrible it's hard to believe) so I'm happy to say Sunday in Brooklyn really is a 5 star experience in my book!

Amazing breakfast. Let me warn you about the incredibly delicious pancakes—two people can eat one! Three of us could not finish two pancakes, and we ordered three! It was like a three-layer cake. Fantastic service and in a nice area. Must walk to Domino Park just a few minutes away.

On a fairly warm-ish Sat afternoon, we gathered the courage to bravely pull-off a walk-in at what always looks like a super busy establishment. Furthermore, we were pleasantly surprised to be seated right away as a group of six, and after walking a flight of stairs, we were seated in an extremely comfortable corner table which felt custom made for us! Noise levels were on the lower end, and we got to ordering right away. Our waitress, Christina, was extremely helpful and her chirpiness just added to our pleasant and joyful experience here. We ordered the Sun Up Hazy IPA ($12) [they don't have any beers on tap], and a few cocktails which included our table favorite - the Sunday Bloody ($16). We also ordered a side of the Sunday Fries ($9) with Oregano, twice! For mains, I got the Warm Grain Bowl ($19) with the egg on the side. The portion size was absolutely spot on. Our table favorite was the Hot Chicken Sandwich ($19) which was ordered by two people, and our order also included a Don Ruben Omelette ($19) which came with plenty of lettuce! We did a mistake of not reading the fine print that Sandwiches don't come with fries by default, and were charged for an extra ($5) - which I feel is a little unfair! As you can guess, we were left with a lot of fries at the end of our meal. Service was excellent, and food arrived within 25-minutes of ordering. This place is also deceptively large with plenty of seating on outdoors, indoors (with 2 levels!). We will visit again for sure!

My partner and I come here fairly regularly ever since moving to Williamsburg. We always sit at the bar and the bartender, Thomas, greets us with two perfect cosmopolitans. I'm obsessed with marshmallow and the brunch and dessert menus feature lovely marshmallow options that are all worth trying.

This place is super cute and lively! Booked a reservation a month in advance for 3 @ 10AM on Sunday. Was busy but we were immediately seated. Our server was great and I loved the music playlist. -salmon avocado toast with eggs 10/10 (smoked salmon was really fresh) -home fries 9/10 (regular French fries with seasoning) -sausage and biscuits gravy 9/10 (really good flavor but I wish there was another biscuit or more sausage, portion seems small for price)

This place was absolutely perfect for a small birthday brunch. They added little touches to make your experience wonderful. The food options were great, and the drinks were really good (my favorite was the Sage Fright). Heads up, depending on when you go, the menu does change. The place seemed to get packed, but we had reservations and were seated quickly.

First time here for brunch, can’t wait to come back. Food was excellent and so was the service from our waiter Nico- he was attentive, personable and made great suggestions. We had the champagne problems for drinks, caramelized pineapple French toast, maple cheddar biscuit, chicken yummos, and steak and eggs. S’mores soft serve for dessert. All delicious!

Dined in and sat down right away. I ordered a red velvet frozen coffee drink which was alright. I usually drink iced black coffee but was feeling like trying something original. After that I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and a cinnamon roll and both were great. The server then accidentally spilled water on my roll while I was still eating which he apologized and kept working through. I asked for the check and he brought it within 2 minutes and he said he had taken the roll off the check because of the accident. I felt like it was the least they could do for the accident and I left happy. I will return.

My partner and I went on a Saturday after going to see a movie near by, the staff was so nice, took our reservation early. Gave us time to think on what we wanted to order, so many good options, food quality was great and relatively cheap for 2 entrees and one round of drinks. 5/5 stars, definitely coming back again!

While heading to Domino Park, we stopped here and had a great experience. I tried the Sunday Burger, which was excellent—juicy, flavorful, and well-prepared. The coconut shrimp were a standout, and the ribs were equally impressive. Drinks were creative and delicious. The atmosphere was lively and cozy and the service was genuinely friendly. Overall a great spot to relax and enjoy quality food in Brooklyn!

One of those special places in Williamsburg. Great vibes, excellent food. The pancakes are the stars here but the eggs are good too, although I do wish they would add more egg options to the menu. Three or four visits so far, five stars each.

The place is forever popular, always a waiting line but we were lucky today. My friends first time here and he liked every bit of it, the food and atmosphere. The pancakes are good as usual whenever I want my fill. It's bit sweet for my personal taste but it's really fluffy which is the best part of it.

What a great spot!! We came here for a lovely dinner that most certainly did NOT disappoint! Sunday in Brooklyn is a delightful little corner spot that seems small initially, but actually has plenty of seating throughout - including in an upstairs space. Regardless, we were promptly seated (without a reservation) in a table downstairs, and had very friendly, hospitable service throughout our visit. While dining, we ordered a few of the cocktails, and I found each one I tried to be a good amount of strength while also creative in the flavors and heat. My personal favorite was the Ski Lift, which is a hot cocktail with bourbon, coffee, and other ingredients - soooo soothing, STRONG, and flavorful! Now on to main event - the food! My wood-fired lasagna was INCREDIBLE - so much flavor, texture, and uniqueness to each bite. My partner's chicken pot pie was similarly unique and yet familiar in its excellent textures and taste! Sunday in Brooklyn had a wonderful ambiance, lovely food, and great service - I highly recommend!

I've been to Sunday in Brooklyn several times for both brunch and dinner. Brunch certainly gets busy but its a fun time - make a reservation. The food, service and drinks are always lovely - Thomas the bartender is incredible! I recommend trying the Sage Fright brunch cocktail, the Wood Roasted Half Chicken for dinner and the S'mores soft serve for dessert. The S'mores latte is fun too for all the s'mores fans.

The pancake. Good lord in heavens. This is the best pancake I’ve ever had in my life and I’m afraid I’ll be dreaming about this pancake. The eggs were delicious, the POTATOS… oh lord beautifully seasoned. This place is a pure gem. One of the best breakfast I’ve ever had, no doubt.

If I had to describe Sunday in Brooklyn in 2 words it would be “quiet luxury”. This place was such a gem to find as a tourist looking for a breakfast/brunch option that wasn’t in the city. We spent the morning in Brooklyn and absolutely loved it. Definitely worth making a reservation. This was one of the most detail oriented restaurant experience I’ve ever had. We were celebrating my sister’s birthday and upon arrival they had a birthday card for her, and had the cutest candle set up with a cinnamon roll after we ordered. We got the breakfast sandwich, the scramble plate (can’t remember the exact name) and the honey cheddar biscuit (which we unanimously agreed was the best biscuit we’ve ever had and almost asked about shipping to Ohio, lol) and multiple specialty beverages. Even the bill came in a cute block with a plant stem. We didn’t even care how much it was because it was so cute, haha. For an experience breakfast as a foodie, can’t recommend enough.

I've been to Sunday multiple times in London, but first time experiencing the original. The pancakes are amazing. 2 is too much for a single person, and I think 3 could be a food challenge in itself 😂 The service was great, and I was lucky that at 9:30 there was place even without reservation.

Brunch was delicious, service was great with good recommendations. I thought the pancake would be too sweet but it wasn’t any sweeter than a typical pancake with syrup and tasted like a griddle maple pancake-cake… very good. The star was the shakshouka though; that was so good with the perfect hint of spice.

Stephan Herard

The pancakes had a lot of hype to them and surpassed it. The texture from the pecan and the brown sugar syrup was unique and thick in a good way. We split a single stack to start and got for entrees we got the egg, potato and sausage sandwich and the blt. When I go back I’ll make sure to do a double stack pancakes for sure.

Loved the vibes, service, good, and drink. We had the pancake which was enormous but tasted so good especially with its hazelnut chocolate topping. The marshmallow latte was so good. Service was quick and very professional; I would not hesitate to recommend the place and would love to go back again and again to try other dishes

I met a friend here while I was in town and loved the experience! The restaurant opened promptly at 8am, and even with a line out front, we were seated quickly. Service was fast and friendly from start to finish. My friend had the fruit parfait, and I had the cheese scramble with bacon — everything was delicious! I do wish the bacon had been a bit crispier, but it was still tasty. The hash browns were perfectly golden and reminded me of McDonald’s (in the best way!). Super cute spot with great food and energy — definitely worth a visit!

Visited Sunday in Brooklyn for brunch and honestly, wow. We got the pistachio hummus with wood-fired flatbread — probably the richest, most flavorful meze I’ve ever had. A total must-try (and so generous we couldn’t even finish it!). Also ordered the warm grain bowl, and it arrived in what felt like 5 minutes — unbelievably fast service. The bowl itself was pure comfort: warm, rich, and beautifully balanced. The eggs were cooked like a soufflé — soft and melting — topped with a gigantic half avocado and a generous handful of pepitas (which I love and rarely see done this well). The rice underneath was so delicious. Finished with a cappuccino, served instantly in a lovely porcelain cup — the perfect touch to end brunch. Our server was incredibly kind and attentive, checking in often to make sure everything was perfect. Honestly, one of the best brunch experiences we’ve had in

The service amazing. For 2 people they offered a 2 person table, outside or inside, they sat us right away. The food was Fast and tasted fresh. Eggs were done perfectly, soft scrambled, bacon crispy, potatoes were a little too salty, and the shakshuka was a little disappointing, like salsa with pouched eggs, but the bread was crisp and yummy when dipped into the bowl. However, the Sunday pancake was amazing. It’s was like a mini fluffy yellow cake with delicious buttered maple all over. not a maple taste but like a chocolaty buttery nutty flavor. “It was like a reward”. We enjoyed it the most. Overall we understand the hype and definitely recommend to try it for yourself.

Great find for brunch in Brooklyn! I’m visiting family in town and decided to meet my bestie who lives in Queens for brunch. We searched for breakfast spots nearby and found Sunday in Brooklyn because of its high ratings and appealing menu options. As a former brunch server, I first discovered shakshuka at my old restaurant and instantly fell in love with the robust flavors and perfectly runny poached eggs. While I’m usually an American breakfast type of person, I occasionally love to branch out and try something more adventurous. The Experience: • No wait time - we were seated immediately outside (wasn’t asked about seating preference, though I would have loved to sit inside and check out the interior decor) • Perfect for people watching while catching up with friends • Our server Cameron was overall kind and sweet, though he seemed a bit overwhelmed during busy moments and missed a few requests - had to ask the server assistant for help with some items • Small note: servers should introduce themselves by name (I had to ask for his name after ordering, as I like to greet people personally) What We Ordered: • Oat milk masala chai - delicious and beautifully presented • S’mores latte - gorgeous display • Shakshuka with extra homemade focaccia bread (needed every drop of that amazing sauce!) - loved it, though next time I’d skip the feta • Hazelnut praline pancakes and BLT for my friend The portion sizes are generous and satisfying. I’m definitely planning to come back with my partner to explore more of the menu - there’s so much I want to try! Highly recommend for anyone looking for quality brunch with interesting options beyond typical American breakfast fare.

This was a really nice brunch place to kickoff my group’s NYC weekend. Overall the food is great, but the pancakes are the stars of the meal. I’m more of a savory guy so I never order the sweeter food options for brunch, but decided to try them out since they already had such a positive reputation. My friends and I ordered them as an appetizer and I’m glad we did. The rest of our meal was very good, but I’m still thinking about those pancakes.

I love the outdoor private huts. It's great with a group of friends to dine and chat. We had to make a reservation 2 weeks ahead and it already packed when we arrived at 10am. This place is famous for their unique malted pancakes. It tastes more like a cake than pancake. The hazelnut maple praline is really good. Definitely order this to share with a group. I don't think I can have this alone as a meal. I got the burger and it was juicy. I added extra $ to make it a deluxe so it came with a huge basket of fries. It's enough to share with everyone. I had a bite of the mole omelette and it was bland. The sausage biscuit with gravy was a bit heavy for my taste. Other than that it was an enjoyable meal.

I stopped in for dinner with girlfriends. The restaurant was lively and nicely decorated for the holidays which was the main reason for visiting. Cocktails run about $16-$19. I had the grinch and my friends had one with mezcal and cinnamon. They split pita, mussels and salmon. I had the French onion soup ($17?) and the Mediterranean salad with chicken ($26). They were out of the French dip sandwich pretty early. I liked my soup but found it heavy on vinegar? They made up for not having the French dip by comping dessert so that was much appreciated. I had the cheesecake which I found a little salty. Our server was great and did right by us for not having menu item.

The service was great and the atmosphere was cozy. The pancakes were ok. Not a big fan of the sauce on the pancakes but im sure some love it. Only complaint was that I spent $45 for eggs, potatoes and a slither of steak. Very tasty but they could've given a little more steak for the price.

I recently dined at Sunday at Brooklyn and had a fantastic experience. The Sunday pancakes were amazing, with a perfect balance of sweetness. The hot chicken sandwich was crispy, flavorful, and had just the right amount of heat. The steak and eggs were cooked to perfection, with a juicy, tender steak and perfectly done eggs. Our server  Cameron was friendly and attentive, making the meal even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this spot for a delicious and satisfying meal!

We visited Sunday In Brooklyn for brunch on a Sunday. We had a reservation for 4 and there were no issues with waiting while some in our party were running late, although we weren’t seated until everyone arrived. The service was pretty good and it didn’t take long for our orders to arrive. The menu isn’t overloaded with options, instead focusing on the quality of the items that are available. I had an egg and cheese sandwich with avocado and it was delicious. The cheddar scramble with home fries was also great. We also got a single serving of the Sunday Pancake to split with everyone. It’s very thick and fluffy at the same time, with some great flavour - I highly recommend it!

Williamsburg brunch goals can be unlocked at Sunday in Brooklyn any day of the week, but there is something nice about being there on a Sunday. Service was friendly and efficient, even with the crowds, and the food was tasty. The fried chicken sandwich was a crispy, juicy masterpiece, the burger a beefy behemoth, and the cheddar scrambled eggs could have had a tad more egg to it to round out the rest of the plate. But the surprising showstopper was the pancake, despite it's plain appearance - light, fluffy, and most importantly, drenched in syrup as all pancakes should be. The wait times can be crazy so make sure you either make a res or walk-in at the start or tail end of the brunch rush.

We visited Sunday In Brooklyn for brunch today. We had no reservation and fortunately were seated right away! The service was great, very friendly and our food came in a timely manner. We ordered the avocado toast to share and added salmon. That was very good. Enjoyed by all. One of us ordered the fresh orange juice, which was delicious, but the glass was half filled and it was a small glass, the price point was ridiculously high $9. We all ordered the cheddar scramble with home fries and a sausage. I can’t say I loved it, I felt the scrambled eggs were too watery, the potatoes were a little salty. My son felt the same way. I did not love the sausage, but my husband did. We were on the other hand very impressed by the order of single Sunday Pancake which we shared. It is absolutely delicious, very fluffy, literally a small cake!!! The syrup and butter just took the pancake experience over the top. If you must get something and you love pancakes…this is a must! The atmosphere was awesome, nice music. When we return we will def be having some pancakes!!

Good food, the pancake is a must! but minus one star because they were not letting customers wait for their table in the area near the host, even though it was out of the way (outside the actual restaurant) and it was freezing outside.. I get that it might be a company policy, but it seemed a bit harsh when it’s not crowded. Also, I wished there were more and easier vegetarian substitutions. For example, adding an avocado instead of having meat would’ve been $9. Our server was lovely though and the I would still recommend going once at least for the pancake.

J

been wanting to try this brunch restaurant for a while and was able to snag a reservation for a saturday! heard a lot of hype on their pancakes, but it was honestly so mid 😭. i didn’t like the flavor at all - the maple hazelnut praline didn’t hit and pancakes were dry. we got the cheddar scramble with bacon - only the egg and potatoes were decent. wouldn’t come back here again, seem overhyped :(.

Would give 4.5 stars if I could! They only take a few reservations for weekend brunch, and the rest are walk ins. My friend and I snagged a spot in the outdoor greenhouses which are heated and enclosed and they even provide blankets. Super cozy. Unfortunately, they wouldn’t seat me until my friend arrived. The Sunday espresso martini was delicious, and I really enjoyed the cheddar scramble with avocado. Lots of flavor, very filling. The seating is comfortable and the decor outside is cute. Dog friendly outdoor seating is a plus! Service is good, and the people watching is interesting. I like that they don’t rush you at all. Didn’t get to try the pancakes but would love to if I ever come back! My friend took the maple cheddar biscuit to go, which looked great. She seemed to enjoy her cheddar scramble and cold brew as well.

It was Christmas time and We came here for breakfast and we did it enjoyed every dish delicious and unique the most delicious delicious one is the pancake crunchy and hush atmosphere was amazing it was degraded by Christmas vibe. We like it so much we reserve for a table and they give us a table in the upper level it was called I think there was a problem in the heater in the downstairs. It was warm at all. This restaurant is amazing. I recommended it.

The food was okay. The French onion soup and the home fries were my favorite. Everything else did not taste as good as the first time I went, which was a year ago. I did enjoy their Bloody Mary mix. It was very busy for a Saturday afternoon. Wait staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was a nice vibe.

S
Syeda Shah

I went yesterday with my friend and we got the avocado toast with eggs. It was good and tasty but $19 plus $3 per egg was steep. Many other places serve the same item for MUCH less. Their iced latte was very meh. $7 and the cup it came in was not medium sized so there went my $7. One major complaint was the music was incredibly loud and it did not help they seated us right under the speaker. If you're seating people under a speaker, at least make sure your customers can hear each other talking?? Overall, steep prices - I would come again but not any time soon.

Come with kids to get dinner here. I like the arrangement of their plant collections. Kids really like the foods. The service was so so, maybe because we not order a lot or we are not local people? Idk, ask them. But still worth it to visit when you nearby Also they served coffee!

No matter what you order, the pancake is an absolute must. I’m usually more of a waffle person, but this pancake completely won me over — it was unbelievably fluffy and perfectly balanced, not overly sweet. The hazelnut maple praline added a rich, nutty sweetness that took it to the next level. Honestly, it was one of the best pancakes I’ve ever had. I also tried the Sunday Burger, which they offer cooked either “medium” or “well done.” I opted for medium, but unfortunately, the patties were a bit too undercooked for my taste — definitely more rare than the juicy medium I was hoping for. If I ordered it again, I’d go for well done. On the bright side, the fries were fantastic, especially paired with their creamy aioli sauce. Overall, I really enjoyed the vibe and food here. I’d absolutely come back — even if it’s just for that unforgettable pancake!

L

We stopped by for a quick lunch and were lucky to get a table. The hummus and pita bread were delicious, and the Caesar salad was fresh and flavorful. Not a fan for the over-seasoned steak and eggs. Overall, a great spot with a cozy atmosphere and tasty brunch options!

We went here to make our friend baby Steven Morey’s dreams come true. We got a bunch of stuff. We split a table pancake. I got myself the biscuits and gravy, onion soup and a hot chocolate to warm up. Ya know? Food was good. Some may have been overhyped, but it was good none the less. Enjoyed time with friends and that’s all that matters in these cold months. It made our friend baby steve’s dreams come true.

We love pancakes, and made brunch reservations on a Monday around 1pm and were seated immediately. I was surprised by how busy it was for a Monday, it’s clearly a neighborhood favorite. We came for the pancakes and shared a double stack of the Sunday Pancakes and the egg and cheese sandwich. Both were great choices. The pancakes had a lovely balance of nutty and sweet with a soft, fluffy texture (the edges were crispy which I appreciate). The egg sandwich stood out for the crispy hash brown, soft egg although personally, I would’ve preferred a softer bun like brioche over sourdough. Next time, we’ll definitely do a single stack and a sandwich to share, or a double stack and skip the sandwich. Bonus: they make a really good s’mores latte. Our server was great but they could have been more intentional with the order in which dishes arrived at the table however this is on our list of favorite pancake spots. I definitely recommend.

I’ve been to Sunday in Brooklyn many times for both brunch and dinner. The service can be a bit up-and-down...we’ve even had a dish come out with a hair in it once; and the host stand isn’t always the warmest. That said, the brunch is definitely my favorite, even though it gets very busy. Their winter onion soup is a must during fall season, and most of the brunch menu is consistently delicious.

First visit to Sunday in Brooklyn (fittingly, on a Sunday). We grabbed an outdoor table for two right away — surprising, since I expected the place to be packed. The vibe outside was great on a nice day. What we ordered: • Cheddar Scramble – Eggs with Long Island home fries, multigrain toast, and avocado. • Sunday Pancakes™ – Hazelnut maple praline, brown butter (we went with a double stack). • I added an iced mocha (okay), and I skipped the OJ since it didn’t look freshly squeezed. The food? Solid but not mind-blowing. Scramble was fine, pancakes were sweet and indulgent, but overall it landed closer to a 3/5 than a “wow.” Drinks were passable. Why 4 stars instead of 3? Quick seating, outdoor ambiance, and the novelty of hitting Sunday in Brooklyn on a Sunday. Food wasn’t bad — just not destination-worthy. Would come back if I’m nearby and curious to try something else. Last visited: August 24, 2025

I went here for late brunch/lunch and recommend you make a reservation. It’s definitely a good spot to share and try things. I liked everything we ordered and definitely with there was more of the delicious pancake sauce. The bathrooms/line are a bit inconvenient for lines/food passage way. It’s a good crowd pleaser suitable for 2+ people.

Sunday in Brooklyn is definitely a trendy spot. I went for brunch after seeing it on Instagram. The food was a bit of a mixed bag – the white cheddar biscuit was great, the Don Reuben omelette was okay, but the pancake I ordered looked better than it tasted. The atmosphere is cool, so if I were with friends who wanted to go, I'd be happy to join. They also have an event space, which is a nice option for parties.

J
Jeremy Sampson

Candidly, the pancakes were gross. I'm a Bubby’s fan and these were quite different and not enjoyable IMO. However, the cheddar scramble meal was legit. My wife really enjoyed that meal. The cocktails were very good as well. The vibes were cool…IDK, I guess I ordered the wrong thing, haha. Your mileage may vary…

A
Aneisha

I want to start off by saying the food isn’t bad. It’s simply not worth the price or the hype. I didn’t enjoy the pancake, the syrup was hardened and thrown on. But the real crime was my toast. I almost cracked a tooth trying to enjoy my avocado toast. The flavors on it were heavenly but it was a struggle getting through it. Cheddar scramble is great.

L
Leonardo Arango

I took my sister and her family to Sunday in Brooklyn for brunch, and while it was a nice experience, it didn’t quite live up to the hype. The menu was okay, but not as extraordinary as many claim it to be. That said, the pancake is definitely the star of the menu—a must-try! It’s thick, fluffy, and packed with flavor, living up to its reputation. One thing that stood out was the omelet served with a “salad”, which was actually just two big leaves of lettuce—not exactly what I expected. It felt a bit underwhelming as a side. Overall, the food was decent, and the atmosphere was nice, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to return. If you do visit, make sure to order the pancake—it’s the real highlight of the meal!

Service was really good, hostesses were very nice. However, paying extra for 3 shrimps in the cesar salad seems kind of ridiculous 😂😂not enough protein! Food was very good tho, but would’ve liked to know i was gonna get this

We were lucky to get seated immediately as walk-ins, but those who came after us had to wait in a long line. The pancakes were unique to the restaurant’s style, but they were so sweet they felt more like dessert than a meal. Even though we ordered just single, we couldn’t finish more than half between the two of us. The onion soup wasn’t bad but rather ordinary (we should have ordered the shakshuka!), and while the chicken burger was bold, that’s all there was to it. The place is charming, the staff moderately friendly, and the food is visually appealing and distinctive. If you’re here more for your Instagram feed than the taste, this is the perfect spot!

Phoenix

The food was a bit hit-or-miss. The burger was good, but the fries were overly salty. I felt pretty indifferent about the pancake, and the French toast wasn’t great. Both the latte and coffee were served lukewarm, which was disappointing. That said, the service really stood out our party arrived late for our reservation, and the staff was very accommodating. Server was great. The inside was also nicely decorated for the holidays, creating a warm atmosphere. Overall, I wouldn’t be reluctant to go back, but it wouldn’t be my first choice either. I really wish we could give 1/2 stars. Food was more of a 3.5.

Upon arrival, we were promptly seated, and our waiter introduced themselves and provided us with menus. After some time, we placed our order with our assigned waiter. I ordered the cheddar scrambled eggs, double pancakes with hash browns, chicken sausage, and avocado, as I do not consume pork. For my drink, I chose a Bahama Mama, which turned out to be a combination of two frozen drinks that tasted sour with sweet coconut toppings, rather than a classic Bahama Mama. My husband had the steak and eggs, but he substituted the eggs with fries. His steak and the green toppings were salty too. Unfortunately, the eggs that arrived were runny and overly salty. The chicken sausage appeared pale, making me hesitant to eat it. I tried to balance the saltiness of the eggs with toast, but it was still too much. When another waiter checked in, I informed her that the food wasn't good. She seemed unsure of what to do and walked off. Our assigned waiter didn’t check back on us; instead, the lady cleaning the table assisted us with a go-bag for the pancakes. We had to ask for the bill three times, leading to a long wait before we could leave. As we were leaving, another waiter mentioned that our assigned waiter was on lunch break. I recommended that if an assigned waiter's shift ends or they go on break, customers should be informed and introduced to the assisting waiter, or observant staff should fill in accordingly. * I packed the pancake to go. I didn’t consume the drink or the chicken sausage. The bill was not adjusted.

The pancake looks great.. until you take a bite and feel like you're swimming in sugar syrup. Sweet tooth or not, it's overwhelmingly sweet. The black coffee is not great either. On the bright side, the staff are nice and the vibe is great. wish the food matched the energy.

Save your money and go somewhere else. I don't understand any rating above maybe 1 or 2 stars. I've been here twice. Food was terrible both times. I went the second time because I thought maybe the first time things were off, but the name was cute, good location, great atmosphere, and service was good. But, I wouldn't pay for the food. I ordered Yummos (buffalo bites) and they remind me of buffalo nuggets at Applebee's? Fatty, chewy, sauce wasn't great. I didn't eat all day and really tried not to waste, but I ended up throwing it away. Burger was bland, not even worth taking home as a takeaway. Hot chocolate wasn't even warm. Same with the tea. I almost tried to order something else to save the experience, but realized it would be a waste of money. I would never take anyone here. I was told I'm no longer allowed to pick restaurants . . .
