Have dined at Enso three times with family, and have loved the experience each time. We only have experience with the countertop menu so I can’t speak to the lounge menu and its service. The fish is the freshest we’ve had in New York, and the overall level of professionalism and dedication to omakase is next to none. The service by Chef Nick Wang and his team is impeccable and we always have a great time here. Highly recommend if you’d like to have an omakase experience that’s akin to one you’d find in Japan.

I went the other day after booking the omakase experience. I have to say, stunning. I got there a little early for the 6pm session, and was seated at the bar while the chefs got ready. The whiskey selection is incredible and unique, the wine and sake are plentiful and the cocktails are carefully constructed. I was seat at a bar setup with three others and proceeded to have the time of my life. Both chefs were fun, lovely and knowledgeable. All the dishes were crafted with a kind of skill that you have to see to believe. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and am already recommending this place. I understand why Michelin is eyeing this place

Incredible, omakase dinner with an even better experience with Chef Nick. Entire experience was unlike any other I’ve had - and I’ve been to many of the best omakase places here in NYC. Chef Nick was so knowledgeable and made the dinner while explaining every dish. Fish was incredibly fresh - and rice was made steamed in the best way possible. Amazing! 10/10

The service and atmosphere at Enso is exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed the chef's table omakase experience since the passion of Chef Nick and Takeshi shined vibrantly through their bespoke tableware and seasonal items. On top of that they are both very interesting people as you'll find out when you sit at their table. Byron and Freddy were also so nice and helped us appreciate our creative cocktails. I loved the highball Akari- v refreshing. We enjoyed being educated on the each of the 16 pieces and the interactive conversational style of the meal where we all felt like friends. Just a note- with a cocktail, the 16 course chef's table meal is about 285 pp after tax and tip. The experience is really unparalleled and we thought it was wonderful for a special occasion- many personal touches to make it memorable. But- if you're looking for a deal/ I think the price of the bar and cocktail lounge 12 course tasting meal (95 pp) is more worthy. Hopefully you get to try their hojicha cream dessert- it was amazing.

Incredible all-around true Japanese omakase experience, felt like I was in Tokyo for the evening. Every dish was fantastic and I loved how well everything was explained and how clear the chefs were about everything we were eating. Chef/owner Nick is extremely passionate about his craft. From the seasonal fish, to the knives he picked up in Japan, to the interior design of the whole place, he loves all of it and is very proud to share it with customers. Hearing him speak so passionately about his craft is inspiring and was worth the price of admission alone. I look forward to going back!

I’ve been to many omakase experiences, but this one was by far the most incredible. Every detail felt intentional, and I truly learned so much throughout the meal. The chef didn’t just serve sushi — he told a story with every bite. I was genuinely surprised and impressed by his creativity, technique, and presence. An unforgettable experience. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Had a wonderful first experience here. Went on a quiet Thursday shortly after opening with just 3 tables in the bar dining room. All of us enjoyed the experience from what I could overhear and the service and attention was very good. Both my wife and I ordered the 12 piece omakase very reasonably priced at $95 and we had a bottle of Blue River sake, a recommendation from the very friendly server. The entire course was enjoyable with simple, fresh nigiri and gunkan including some great toro and savory uni. Nothing was extravagant, if that's what you're looking for. The ambience is traditional edo style and they have a lovely back yard which will be open in the summer. Will be back.

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem, offering impeccable service and an elegant atmosphere that will leave you in awe. Menu Highlights: Kumamoto Oyster Kombu Air, Hibiscus, Caviar: A beautiful balance of flavors and an elegant start, inspired by Chef Nick's childhood memories. Hirame (Fluke) with Ponzu Sauce: Expertly cut from the spine to preserve the muscle, delivering a delicate and fresh taste. Monkfish Liver from Okinawa: Rinsed in ocean water, then filtered water, and steamed to perfection, served with Chablis ponzu jelly. Ocean Water Aged King Madai: Seasoned with sea salt from Chipa, offering a unique and refined flavor. Fukuoka Isaki: Cured with seaweed kombu, showcasing the chef's mastery in preparation. Japanese Mackerel: Salt-cured for 45 minutes then treated with vinegar, presenting a delightful taste. Hiramasa (Young Yellowtail): Clean and silky, a testament to the chef's skill. Sardine from Japan: The chef's personal favorite, served with chives between the rice and fish, and the bones deep-fried for a crunchy, delicious highlight. Akami Tuna Course: Lean and flavorful, a perfect introduction to the tuna offerings. Otoro Tuna Course: Medium cut from the tail, paired beautifully with the meal. Chutoro with Green Tea Sea Salt: A big flavor bomb that will leave you wanting more. Namego Akashi: Low sodium savory soybean soup with slimy, mushroomy comfort in a cup. Trumpet Fish Yakara: A unique and delightful addition to the menu. Uni from Hokkaido: A rich and creamy finish to the meal. Cocktails by Freddy: Spectacular creations that perfectly complement the meal. Service by Byron: Top-notch service that enhances the overall dining experience. I had a truly unique experience at Enso’s Omakase room, which accommodates around 10 people. A large party canceled just before my reservation, leaving me with the opportunity to dine alone and enjoy a more intimate setting with the three talented chefs: Nick Wang, Takeshi Sato, and a younger new chef who had already brought creative and delicious new ideas to the menu within just a month of joining their team. The ambiance of the Omakase room is stunning, designed to transport you to a luxurious dining experience reminiscent of Japan. Each course was not only beautifully presented but also truly incredible in taste and quality. The chefs showcased the freshest ingredients, and every bite was a delightful exploration of flavors. Additionally, I had the pleasure of enjoying a sake pairing recommended by General Manager Byron Agila. The sake complemented the entire meal perfectly, enhancing the flavors of each course and elevating the overall dining experience. The chefs were incredibly kind, sharing fascinating stories and insights about the fish, explaining how flavors can vary based on the season and the fish’s diet. Typically, I visit Omakase restaurants to not talk too much and observe masters at work and enjoy whatever they recommend. But being alone in the room allowed for meaningful conversation, and I learned so much about their passion for the craft. Overall, my experience at Enso was nothing short of incredible. Having dined many Omakase restaurants in NYC, I can confidently say this one will be unforgettable. I’ll definitely be back!

One of the most fun omakase experiences I have ever been to. The chef was educational and taught us a lot about the fish and traditions throughout the dinner. Uni was fantastic! Sake also paired well and was well priced.

This was my first time dining at Bar Lounge at the Enso Omakase. The food and service were great and I would definitely recommend! It’s the best omakase testing menu in Brooklyn ever! I got a Full Omakase testing its was a 12 course of sushi including a Hokkaido Uni, Tuna, Toro that’s was Amazing and I also love a purple highball that’s I would love to keep ordering again and again. The decor was minimalistic Japanese, intimate nature and fit the vibe of the restaurant perfectly. I will be back again for a 16 course at omakase room. Highly recommended!

I don’t have enough positive things to say about Enso. They thought about every detail in the space and the staff are all incredibly friendly. The food was impeccable…each bite somehow better than the last. The prices are reasonable and the seating is very comfortable. We did the a la carte at the bar but can’t wait to go back and try the omakase.

This place transports you out of Williamsburg in the most magical way possible. The fish is freshly imported and melts in your mouth, with each bite you take. It’s expertly paired with an incredible wine list and the staff makes you feel right at home with their attention to every detail. The ambiance begs you to book your next visit upon departure.

Such an incredible meal and experience that transports you out of Brooklyn. We booked the Chefs Counter and while it's a bit pricey, 100% worth it. Every single bite was packed with flavor. The hospitality was remarkable and made everything that much more enjoyable. Looking forward to my next visit already!

Just went here with three friends and had an absolutely incredible experience. From the moment you walk in you can tell how much care and intention went into every detail. Beautiful atmosphere, thoughtful design and a really special vibe overall. Music was vibey and relaxing. It doesn’t feel like you’re in Brooklyn, more like you’ve been transported somewhere quiet and far far away. The experience felt authentic from start to finish and the servers were incredibly knowledgeable and attentive without being overbearing. Super friendly Chef Nick Wang was both warm and professional and the food was easily some of the best I’ve ever had. The bar in the back is also amazing and we even had the option to buy a bottle of whiskey and store it at the restaurant to enjoy on future visits, which was such a cool touch. Never seen that before. Couldn’t recommend this place more. Already looking forward to coming back.

One of my best meals ever. The service, the drinks, the food, and ambiance are all perfect. Feels like a retreat from the city in the way it’s designed. We did the full omakase with drinks pairing as a group of 4. Had a cocktail in the garden after. Definitely go here.

Enso Omakase is a beautifully designed spot with a stunning atmosphere that enhances the dining experience. However, some aspects left us feeling like the price didn’t fully justify the evening. The cocktails were exceptional—definitely a highlight—but some of the tastings felt fairly generic and lacked the creativity you’d expect at this price point. On the plus side, the restaurant has a lovely backyard, which we’re excited to try out in the summer. Overall, Enso delivers on atmosphere and drinks, but the food didn’t quite live up to the premium price tag. It’s worth a visit, but temper your expectations.

I have to say the dining environment here is truly impressive. The lighting, music, and decor all came together to elevate our dining experience. We tried the tasting menu, which was priced at $95 per person. The photo shows everything included in that price. While the ambiance was excellent, I feel that the food itself didn’t quite match the value. For the same price, you can find more flavorful and cost-effective options in the city.

The food was subpar. The sushi was fresh but not tasty. It was mainly just a tuna omakase. ( absolutely boring). The pieces of fish were soooo tiny that it felt like i was eating an appetizer course as the entire dinner. Completely a waste a money. After enso, we had to get another meal elsewhere to feel full. On a Saturday evening the place was pretty empty. It had very little patronage. The service and atmosphere was very nice but the food just didn’t live upto the expectations. They definitely need to fix their menu and the food.

Just want to start off by saying the ambiance was impeccable unfortunately i cant say the same for the omakase. For some reason 3 out of the 4 tastings the fish kept tasting fishier. I’m not sure if that’s their way of trying to stand out but it was extremely unpleasant. We had the omakase tasting in the lounge room and even the waiter said this is the fishiest fish but no worries the ginger on top will mask the taste. I didn’t believe him until my friend had to try it first and let me tell you she had to force herself to swallow it. I also just googled that fresh fish should not taste fishy. Unless the fish was poorly handled. I’ve been to plenty of omakase places and never had I ever tasted the fishiest fish. We waited about 20 minutes in between each course for the next to come. We left starving and went across the street to Lucy’s :/ But overall the ambiance once again was amazing. The interior designer had great taste.
