Opinions de Taci's Beyti Brooklyn
Had a great experience at Taci’s Beyti. Our server was very sweet and understanding, who made this experience even more enjoyable. The mix platter was delicious, offering a perfect variety of Turkish flavors. The Turkish tea was aromatic and rich, a must-try. Ended the meal with delightful baklava.
I used to go there years ago when it got #1 rating in Zagat for Turkish food, but was a little apprehensive after a long break having seen some negative reviews on the net. Nothing that people complained about happened to us. The Turkish bread (not store made "pita") was brought (and not "dropped") to the table, the water was poured (and not "left at the table"), they also opened and poured the wine we brought and kept the cork, that we needed at the end to close the bottle. The food came quickly and was fresh (including Shepherd Salad) and delicious. The portions were not getting "smaller and smaller", they were huge, so much so that we took half of it to go. The waiters were pleasant friendly and courteous. They were not intrusive but always around when I needed something. The place was full on Monday afternoon, so I must be not the only one who enjoyed it. The prices went up but so they did everywhere else and they are certainly justified. I am very hard to please but you managed just that. Keep up the good work guys! Looking forward to many returns.
Dining at Taci's Beyti was a delightful experience from start to finish. The food was exceptional, the amazing staff attentive, and the ambiance was perfect for a cozy evening. Highly recommended!” “We enjoyed everything about our visit to Taci's Beyti.
Taci Beyti is an absolute gem! The service was outstanding — the staff was attentive and genuinely welcoming. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making the whole experience even better. And the food? Simply delicious. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great dining experience. Teşekkür ederim!
This was not our first time here, but the food was even better than our last two visits. There are many vegetarian options . The ezme salad is more like a salsa or gazpacho and it is delicious. Also standout spinach pie and sigora boregi
We go there often & always the best service & delicious food. We brought friends from out of town for the first time. They loved the food. My wife received a gift from them that she forgot under the table, called them an hour later after she remembered it. They told us they will look for it & call us back. Ten minutes later received a call from the manager Amri & notify us that it was found. I highly recommend them..
Looking for authentic Turkish cuisine? Look no further than this exceptional restaurant, which comes highly recommended by my family. The moment we walked in, we were struck by the beautiful decor and welcoming atmosphere. However, the real standout was the food. It was absolutely delicious, and it's no surprise that this restaurant is Zagat rated. The service staff was incredible. Very professional, friendly, and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who's looking for a great night out. Whether you're in the mood for a romantic dinner for two, a fun night out with friends, or a family gathering, this place has everything you need. Definitely give it a try. You won't be disappointed!
Amazing food! The only minor annoyance was we had to request water refills several times even though there was several people hovering around the table and, when we arrived at 12:30 pm, there was very few other patrons. Otherwise, the food tasted amazing, portions were very generous, and the wait staff was very attentive (other than water).
I’m pescatarian so can’t talk about the meat dishes (except for how amazing they smelled), but the veggies and bread and even the house wine was impressive. Friendly and attentive staff who added a special touch to our cakeless bday celebration w/ a complimentary fruit platter (also yum)!!!
Had a work event (70 people) at Taci‘s Beyti Turkish restaurant. Everyone loved the food. The ambiance is cozy. Food is delicious. The staff are competent at handling any combination of dietary restrictions you throw at them. Planning the event was smooth sailing and the prices are reasonable. It’s also rare to find a restaurant that lets you bring your own wine - it was a complete non-issue. We‘ll be having our annual party there for years to come and I‘m sure our coworkers will come back individually on their own with their loved ones.
This food was soo good. I had the salmon and my friend had the sword fish. If you can't pick go for the sword fish, it was soo good, salmon is also delicious. The hummus might be as good as the kind you'd get in the middle east. Good date night restaurant. Great ambiance. Get a bottle of wine and enjoy the great atmosphere.
I have been coming here for over 15 years because of the wonderfully delicious food and great service. My mother is very picky about the doner kebabs she likes and Taci's Beyti has been consistent in superb quality throughout the years. I came here with my family today for Eid lunch. Our appetizer came out quickly and meal shortly after. We were checked on often and were able to enjoy our meal. At the end of our meal, we were brought a complimentary plate of fruit, which was fresh and sweet. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough and can't wait to come back.
I went there for an event, and the service was very good. The food is amazing and the workers are very attentive. The catering menu is well balanced, and gives you a chance to try many different foods. My favorites were the spreads, the cheese rolls and the meat plate, especially the kebab.
Every dish is cooked perfectly every time. The highest quality delicious Turkish food anywhere. If you're not familiar with Turkish food it's very similar to Greek food. Be sure to order the Tarrator appetizer and fried Calamari, it's to die for.
This place rests on the same block as my company office. Many of us tend to eat from here. Definitely some of the best Turkish food around. Presentation of the platters is spot on. Also cost effective. Staff is very accommodating.
The best Turkish food in Brooklyn! Always great food and good service.
It’s a nice cozy family friendly restaurant. This was our third time visiting this place and we are hooked! Food was great as always , but the hospitality was exceptional this time ! My two year old daughter wanted to explore around the table after finishing her meal, the staffs were very friendly and understanding . I wish all the restaurants were like that . Mr.Servet was attending our table , he was super friendly with the kids and even gave us complimentary deserts ! Recommend 10/10 anyone whoever likes to try some good Turkish food in a nice cozy environment.
Best Turkish food and service in NYC by far. We come here about once a month, and always bring guests who want to try Turkish food, and Taci’s never disappoints! Döner is even better than what I can get back home in Turkey. Liver (ciger) is out of this world. Kids love lentil soup and lahmacun. The staff is always very warm and welcoming. Highly recommended with no hesitation! Süpersiniz!
**** IT’S HALAL**** A great place for a fancy style restaurant with a date or a group of people. Seating is a plenty. Easily can fit 8-12 people together. Menu is great and rich tasty food. Alsways fresh. I have brought plenty of my family that come to visit, here at this place. Always had a great experience. Prices are above average but the food itself is above average too. Great ambiance. Not plenty of dessert options but you won’t need to because the actual food is good enough and its filling.
Been all over the states and still no spot prepares a true shepherd salad and Adana kebab like them. Still the same taste from decades ago. A gem. 😍
Nice atmosphere and great food, service is very well also. The music and voice of talking customer took me to Turkey market, although i have never had a chance to be there. I would recommend to visit here if you have a chance. I was there in weekdays. It's busy but not full. You may need to wait for a table in weekend.
TURKEY 🇹🇷 Eat the World NYC review: We recently revisited Coney Island Avenue mainstay Taci's Beyti to check in on the now 30-year old restaurant. The food seems just as good as ever, and the place is run like a well-oiled machine even on busy weekend nights. In the eight years we have been coming here, I cannot recall one mistake or bad plate. ° "Beyti" is a reference to a famous chef and restaurant in Istanbul that opened in 1945, a place presidents and royalty (and you) go for kebabs, and eventually the name of a unique kebab named after the man's creation. Here deep in Brooklyn it has inspired one of the city's best Turkish restaurants.
If you're looking for some great Turkish food, this place has it. I was recommended through some family who stumbled upon this place and loved it so I thought I would give this place a chance. Great atmosphere, the decor is beautiful and the best part is the food is amazing. No wonder they are Zagat rated. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a night out.
My friend and I had an excellent time at Taci Beyti's this week. We called ahead and the owner, Ersin, made sure that there was a table for two for us during an especially busy time of the night. We were promptly greeted by Mehmet, who promptly got us water, wine glasses, and some bread to munch on while we decided what to order. Everything was excellent and came out super quickly. I ordered my favorite, the chicken kebabs, and my friend ordered the Mix Grill. We also tried the Eggplant Spread and the Eggplant Tomato Spread, which were good additions to the bread & hummus (and good toppings for our mains). Overall, I can definitely see why Taci's Beyti is Zagat Ranked. BYOB, and even though it's fairly South of Brooklyn, it's definitely worth the trek if you enjoy Turkish food. PS: it's also VERY GREAT for groups. My table was for two, but the waitresses also handled neighboring parties of 6-8 with ease.
Suuuuch a lovely experience! Went here for iftar , called like an hour before we came and reserved a table. Came in and we were seated promptly 😀 the staff was allll sooo nice and courteous. The food was delicious and large portions for one person. The turkish tea and khunafa was a great way to end the night. Will definitely come back again and recommend to friends. Great service all around and really enjoyed it.
Love this place one of the best Turkish spots in South Brooklyn they've been around for a long time and every time I ate there the food was really good.
This Turkish restaurant is absolutely amazing! The service is excellent—staff are friendly, attentive, and make you feel welcome. The food arrives incredibly fast, and every dish is fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The portions are very generous, so you definitely get great value for your money. Everything here is on a top level, from the atmosphere to the quality of the food. Always coming back! Highly recommend!
Fantastic Turkish restaurant. We’ve been going here for years and it’s always terrific. Especially love the grilled trout. Yum!
Known this great establishment and its wonderful staff for over a decade. They have never not even once disappointed in their service, professionalism and most importantly the quality of their food. A place that sticks with you for life. 11/10 highly recommended to everyone for some fine Turkish cuisine with variety of food options.
The best Lentil Soup 🍜 ever! The best pick up / take away service ever! 5 sec. pick up! Thanks Aslan & Islam for your operative work. Thanks for being kind and responsive, helpful. I love this spot for A to Z... Thanks for your Service!
Historically the finest Doner (Sandwich) in NYC area were at i) The Doner joint at McDougal and ii) Sahara on Coney Island Ave. Both the places mentioned above are closed now, so I am always hunting for a good Doner. But, before I continue and tell you of a great Doner spot (Taci's Beyti at 1953-1955 Coney Island Ave, Brooklyn), allow me to digress. Sushi (one version) is raw fish made with rice. Sashimi, by contrast, is raw fish always served on its own. Some like Sushi, some like Sashimi. I like both. I mention Sushi – Sashimi so that I can use it as a reference in evaluating Doner (sandwich). Having said the above, let’s get back to Taci's Beyti and the dream Doner (sheer awesomeness) I had from there. Just like rice plays an important role in a good sushi, bread plays an important role in a good Doner. A doner wrapped in thin Lavash bread (a paper-thin flat bread), is almost akin to having a Sashimi (so to speak). Nothing wrong with it, I like that too. Then there is Doner in Pita bread (another flat bread). There is doner in a roll (not flat bread). All of them are equally delicious. I don’t dis food. In this universe there is a place for everything. Nonetheless, once you have tasted a good German Doner then you will always long for a more robust flat bread in the Doner Sandwich. After a good German Doner, you are spoilt for life. Allow me to add that the fresh salad in the German Doner also plays a major role in kicking up a notch the desirability quotient of the German Doner. Ideally, I want the traditional Turkish meat recipe (everything grilled/roasted Turkish style) but then supplement it (or build) using the fresh salad and flat bread of the German Doner. Why stop there ? Why stop with the German Flat bread. In my dream, I dream of a Doner Sandwich with the traditional Turkish Sliced Doner meat with Fresh Salad (of the German Doner) AND a crisp and chewy Italian flat bread from Tuscany called Schiacciata. Guess what ? At Taci Beyti, I found A VERY SIMILAR bread (needs a tweak). I found a bread (see image attached), which when toasted becomes “like Schiacciata” flat bread from Florence. At Taci Beyti, the person helping me, made me a Doner with that bread. Imagine, the lovely Turkish Doner meat and a toasted Schiacciata like bread paired together. Sheer awesomeness. I took the Doner Sandwich home. Given the traffic and the errands, I had it about 5 hours later. Forget the two places (now permanently closed) that I mentioned in the first paragraph, this is now THE Doner Sandwich to beat. Remember they make this with Pita Bread and Lavash, hence please show them the photo of the bread and request them to toast it a little and make a doner out of that. I liked it so much that I am showing just the image of the bread (and not the whole sandwich). Enjoy.
Came here with a group of friends for a birthday dinner and WOW was not disappointed. Service was very fast. Everything was amazing -- especially the Iskander kebab with tomato sauce, the pide and the lamb chops. It was so good that I got extra Iskander kebab for my partner, who promptly wolfed it down at 12am at night. Would definitely come back!
I ate here recently for both my father’s and daughter’s combined birthday. It was a large family gathering and we all had the $55 prix fixe menu. There was just so much delicious food. It started with a mixed mezze with salads, baba ghanoush, stuffed dolma, hummus etc. Then there were fantastic lamb and chicken kabobs, diced deep fried liver (so good) and whole brook trouts, shrimp in tomato and cheese sauce etc. After that of course a giant helping of assorted baklava. The service was great and the entire restaurant was packed with other family gatherings, so making a reservation would be wise. You can bring your own wine if you like, though they do serve alcohol. I’d recommend have a Raki or Turkish coffee to end the evening. Would absolutely return to this restaurant!!!
This spot feels like home. The service was helpful, welcoming, and kind throughout the night. I genuinely find myself craving the dishes they serve, which is what keeps me coming back. Most recently I shared the mixed platter, along with some appetizers and dessert for two people. Coming here with a larger group means trying more dishes, which is always a plus. The restaurant is very family, friendly and people of all ages tend to enjoy the experience.
It has been a long while since I had been back in New York and I was with my mom who suggested we come here for dinner. We are never disappointed! The branzino was amazingly delicious, the lamb kebab couldn’t have been tastier or more perfectly cooked. We had Kunfee for dessert along with some Baklava…we should have gone right for dessert! We will of course be back .
Good food. Very cozy atmosphere. Quick and attentive service. The waiters are handsome young men. The friendliness and politeness of staff add to a great experience. Dine in. Take out/delivery. You can pack leftovers to go. Easy tap-pay at the table. Great dessert selection. Nice upbeat background music. Clean. Organized. Love the brick wall.
Spacious restaurant with nice lighting and huge tables. We didn't wait long before our appetizers came flying out. Everything tasted so fresh and homemade, from the salad to the tilapia, to the flavorful and tender chicken kebabs, to the falafel and yummy eggplant spread. Surprisingly, the calamari was good. Not rubbery like most places. Staff is very friendly and attentive and they gave us great dish recommendations. I can't wait to come back and try dessert!

Absolutely love this place. Great everything. I’m sorry I took one star off. The price is at the top of a market value. But besides that this place is perfect.
Turkish food is so delicious. But it was on the salty side. And they put milk in their humus. Why? It doesn't make it taste better. We have come here a lot, but I wish there was more of an authentic taste.
I love their Shepard Salad - I just order the large and I am good for dinner.
Got chicken kebab over rice and baklava. The chicken kebab comes with ten pieces of grilled chicken, grilled tomato, grilled jalapeño, marinated onions and pita bread over rice pilaf. The veggies had a nice char to them, the rice of fluffy and separated, and the jalapeño comes whole with seeds so it can get pretty intense. The chicken was tasty but slightly dry because it’s all white meat. The entree was plentiful and could be enough for two or one very hungry person. I like the homemade tzatziki sauce but the hot sauce packets that came with takeout is mediocre and undeserving of gracing my kebabs. The baklava is great and comes with three pieces. Taci is a tasty place for Turkish food.
The place was almost empty when I arrived after 2 pm. Wait to be seated as the sign said so I waited. 2 Russian speaking patrons came behind me and shoved me aside and walked right in front of me and was seated before me. And then of all the empty spaces, I was seated right next to the two rude customers LMAO. The food was excellent except for the eggplant spread way too salty and pricey. The grilled trout and a small salad came with it was really good. I order a small side of rice and it is well accompanied with the fish. I wanted some chilli and one of the waiters got me a whole grilled jalapeño and it was spicy delicious. My whole meal cost $47.66 included tip without any drink. Overall, I'm satisfy with this restaurant. Place was clean, the food was good, the service was decent. Will I go back to? maybe or maybe not.
The food definitely deserves a WOW. The Shepherd Salad is the best one I’ve ever had so far. So is the mixed grill I could finish it all by myself easily. People who are working there are friendly and helpful. The missing one star is due to the wait time. We went there for an early dinner on Thursday night. The restaurant was more than half empty but it still took us a while to have our food.
The restaurant is located in the Gravesend section of Brooklyn. They prepare Turkish cuisine. I ordered chicken soup, 2 sandwiches on pita bread and hummus for takeout. It came with additional pita breads and yogurt sauce. The food was well-prepared and tasty. The restaurant was busy and had a nice decor. Food was ready when I arrived. The order was placed online and convenient.
Quality Turkish food for decent prices. The restaurant has lots of room so it's great for groups and parties. I wanted to try this restaurant since I saw the television ads(I think it was television). But the food did not disappoint, the Adana kebab was delicious as well as the chicken kebabs(both regular and in hot yogurt). The hot yogurt one has a surprise underneath the sauce(fried crunchy pita). I have never had chicken kebabs served this way but it was a tasty way incorporate the pita. I almost got to mention, I loved the hummus and eggplant spread. Both of the dips served with the house made bread, was a winner winner kebab dinner.
Walking in with high hopes for exceptional Turkish cuisine, the overall dining experience was mixed. While the service was great—attentive and efficient—and the dessert was a true standout, the savory dishes fell short. The biggest culinary disappointment was the starters, which desperately lacked seasoning; I missed the burst of herbs and spices I crave in Turkish food. The main meat dish was adequate but not great, and the side salad could have been much fresher. Regarding the setting, the atmosphere simply wasn't my cup of tea. This spot shines in its service and dessert, but the main courses need significant spicing and attention to freshness to match genuine Turkish standards.

Food was great. The usual lamb chops order was cut in half to make it look as if it’s more but in reality its the same, but the price rose. Service was great, but when I gave the waiters 10% tip plus 5% surcharge that the restaurant charged me on top of the tip for no apparent reason, the waiters came over and asked me why I tipped only 10%, so I asked why was I charged 5%, and the waiters replied it’s the restaurant’s charge. I asked to speak to a manager to apply the 5% surcharge to their tip, but the waiters replied, the manager is not on premises, and when I said I have the managers cell phone number, they replied it’s ok, no need to call, everything is ok making me feel as if I was stealing something. Management should take care of their workers or teach them some service ethics!!!!
The appetizers was great, we had Shepherd salad, fried calamari. Which was great. Our main dish was just okay I had scallop with french fries, someone else had tilapia with rice, and and someone had lamb with french fries so the main you only have a choice of rice, french fries or a green salad. So if you going to have shepherds salad you don't need the green salad and french fries and rice truly didn't go with the meal. But the price is decent
I had the lamb shish yesterday, and while the flavors were nice overall, I was disappointed with the bread at the bottom. It was extremely hard, almost like a rock, which made it difficult to enjoy the dish. I hope they improve this part of the meal in the future.
Very popular and busy place. Came here on a Saturday with 2 friends. We made a reservation and were seated with a minimal wait. The food was ok. A lot of people rave about this place, maybe it’s not my cup of tea. The tea was great, though! For the price point, I feel like the portions and quality weren’t up to par. I would only recommend if you really like Turkish food.
A little disappointed given I've had great Turkish food in London and Turkey. I came here based on the reviews but I felt this place cuts corners. E.g. I was told we'd get homemade rice, turned out to be standard. The mix grill platter was much smaller than expected too. A few suggestions that I think can elevate the "experience". Make your own, fresh complimentary bread and serve it with some garlic butter. Store bought Turkish flat bread gets hard when heated (Turco on 9th Ave has bread to die for!). Also, your cuisine is known for authenticity. Homemade hot sauce? No but you get Cholula or marinara sauce with a little sprinkled chilli...you can do much better!
The gyro platter, didn't have much flavor to it. The Sheppard salad was excellent tho. Service is slow they don't refill your water glasses. Wouldn't come back again.
Waitstaff were nowhere to be found. We had to ask for water and bread a few times. No one even came by to see if we needed anything. The food was above average, but the service destroyed the whole atmosphere.
Very bad experience. The bread wasn't fresh. Adana overcooked. There were bugs on the table. It used to be much better. Will not return.
My only recommendation would be to NOT get the Iskender kabab. The bread under was supposed to be fried, it was not. It was large dry bread pieces. That wasn't the worst part, the tomato sauce was actually marinara. Iskender tomato sauce does not have garlic or spices in it. If youre going for authentic Iskender this isn't the spot for you. This place used to be amazing a couple years back, sad to see its no longer what it once was.
Food - very fresh, modest, tastes great, but portions have gotten a lot smaller over the past few years. One thing that really surprised us yesterday and which prompted this review was the service. They treated us like dogs… and it was not fun. No one wanted to greet us, no one wanted to seat us, nor take our orders, or make sure we had what we needed, they had scowls, and seemed extremely bothered and unpleasant which makes for a very sad evening. I looked around .. and it want just us. The other tables were also not having a good time because of the staff. My family spends a bunch of $$ here but those days may be over now. Once you treat us badly, it’s hard to recover. Customer service is everything. We don’t expect the red carpet to be rolled out but at least act like we are there. We had to beg for service, and they scowled each time we did. Horrible experience.
I’ve been coming to Taci Beyti for years and have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere, but after my most recent experience, I will never be back. I dined with a group of 15 and specifically asked for tap water, as I have every single time I’ve come here and as is standard in most restaurants. Instead, without informing us, they brought out bottled water and charged us $6.25 per bottle, plus tax, a credit card fee, and gratuity—making the final cost even more ridiculous. They ended up charging us for eight bottles, which added a completely unnecessary and outrageous charge to our bill. What’s most disappointing is the lack of transparency. Had we been told there was a charge, we would have declined the bottled water. Instead, we were blindsided when the bill arrived. To make things worse, at the end of the meal, tap water was finally served, making us think the courtesy had been extended throughout. So not only did they mix bottled and tap water after we requested tap, but they also stuck us with an inflated charge without making it clear. This felt deceptive and dishonest, and I won’t be coming back. If a restaurant needs to sneak in hidden charges like this, it says a lot about their priorities. Be upfront with your customers.
Went there yesterday. Calamari was like rubber but calamari sauce was wayyyyy too salty. Every time I went there I tell the waitresses it’s salty but I assume they ignored me and nothing change so it’s still the same. We got small (findik) lahmacun and it was ok. We got small shish it was ok. Service was kinda bad I had to call the waitress 2-3 times for refill the water. Almost all the waitresses were talking each other and lingering around and not pay attention the customers. This place was really good before even had an appointment still have to little while to sit and eat but my wife and I went there around 6.30pm yesterday and spend about 1-1.5 hour, they had only 3 tables so, that explains why nobody is going there anymore. Definitely it’s not worth the money…
Don’t know what happened to this place but it fell off. Had a lamb doner meal and the lamb was extremely oily and chewy. No flavor either. Rice was stale as well. I wont be back.
The atmosphere and service were wonderful, the staff were very friendly. I just wish the food was a bit more traditional Turkish style. Overall, I really enjoyed it, thank you!”
We ordered from these guys through Uber Eats. They sent the wrong stuff, and when we called them up they started arguing with us that we ordered what they sent. We read straight off from the Uber Eat…
We have been going to this resturant for years, Food delicious Swarma/ gyro meat overly salty.\nService hands down the worst I have ever encountered, asked for water, server delivered bottle water…
I have been going to Taci's Beyti for many years, tonight I had the worst experience with their food. I understand that they raised their prices by at least 20 % , everybody using the excuse of eve…
Lahmacun was so thick definetly so expensive. Service was so poor. Scam place cc transaction fee +5$ ridiculous. End of the meal waitress offered tea or coffee. I preferred coffee and of the summary they put it on the bill. When l asked her ( black hair w highlights on it) she shocked and with mimic on her face that she said nothing is free here 😡 we never asked a free thing from them but mostly Turkish restaurants don’t charge for coffe or tea. Zero zero tip never ever will come. Again
Had dinner tonight with my parents and had an overall horrible experience. Food was okay definitely not worth the money spent. Calamari tasted like rubber and not fully cooked. The waitress made a mistake with our entree order instead of 2 Chicken Adana and 1 Adana Kebab, we ended up getting 2 Adana Kebab and 1 Chicken Adana. This restaurant charges $1 extra for rice or you can do vegetables which they consider sliced onions and a tomato/ pepper as a vegetable which drove me crazy. I asked for the manager and he came over and was no help he kept telling me that chopped onions and a tomato/ burned pepper is considered their vegetable which is unbelievable disrespectful to charge $26 for 2 pieces of chicken and sliced onions and a tomato/pepper. They took a long time to bring my dad his Chicken Adana and we ended up finishing our entrees. NEVER COMING BACK TO THIS RESTAURANT!!!!!! Service is horrible and food is overpriced and poor quality.
I felt sick after eating the mixed grill—I have had the worst food poisoning ever in my life (positive ) , the quality of the food does not match the price. They really need to improve.
Worst place ever, placed order for pickup and whole 3 orders was wrong because they don't speak English. Beware ⚠️ next time better go to Istanbul restaurant, I'm not with you
I have Been ordering from this spot for YEARS and slowly seeing them decline has truly been upsetting. I ordered 2 portions of chicken over rice and a salad—how does this come out to $75 AFTER A DISCOUNT WAS APPLIED. Basic rice and some chicken cubes with a chopped salad does not cost $75 in any situation. This is disgusting behavior. And then they have the nerve to request a tip for a driver and pay additional uber fees. They are not the only turkish spot on the block, and outsourcing to uber instead of having in-house delivery is just an utter failure. This last experience has soiled my appreciation for this restaurant. After years of patronage, I will not be ordering from them again. Customers should not be extorted for a delivery order like this. One big disappointment….
I had been ordering delivery almost every day, and sometime they agreed do delivered even if I’m ordering just one soup! And today I had worse experience with one of the guys who work there! I just called them and order one soup, and it’s just across the street! He start to arguing with me and telling me that I have to order minimum $20! I understand if it was 1 or 2 mile far, but it’s across the street and I told him that I’m sick and can’t go out! 20 minutes later I’m calling again, he picked up the phone, and start to telling me the delivery guy is not here etc! I asked him can someone else delivery to across the street! He start to telling me the things in purpose! I will never order again from them! He is running the customer service! Worse customer service!
For starters the employee was EXTREMELY rude upon entering. Blonde dyed hair color lady giving so much attitude for no reason, grilling me from head to toe when I walked in with a big smile. She clearly was the problem since all the gentlemen working there were nice. Zero stars for atmosphere. As for the food. Im sure other items are tasty but the doner kebab is not it. Extremely salty and it only comes with a quarter of a pita. Not even half. If I return I will do so hopefully when that blonde fake lady is not on the premises.
Have been ordering from this place for years. I just ordered $700 worth of food two weeks ago and $350 today. Food is terrible. Kebabs and liver are burned. Portions are smaller. Bread is not fresh. Will never order again.
I was there almost a month ago and I was somehow happy with the food and service. Then I wrote a review about my experience. After that I was reading other reviews, seem like they made comment for themselves and their friends to make them look better. Anyway my friends and I went there today again. We ordered calamari, findik (small) lahmacun and cop shish. We waited so long for the calamari, even though next table got there after us and got their french fries and other fried stuff anyway I asked one of the waitress for our calamari, he said it's in the kitchen and coming I was being patient and still waited for it but instead of calamari they brought us findik lahmacun first. Some of them looks bitten on the way and looks-taste like radish was from yesterday as you see in the picture. Since we were hungry we didn't say anything and started our dinner then all the sudden they brought us our main courses then after a few seconds they brought us our calamari. We got our appetizer after main course and we have all the food at the same time on the table so, I wasn't happy at all but since we were hungry we didn't make a big deal and ate our dinner. After we finished our dinner waitress asked us if everything was ok, do we need any desert or anything. I said I wasn't happy with the service so we don't want anything else. I assume she felt bad or knew what happened she offered fruit plate, even though I said no they still brought to our table and my friends ate some watermelon and said it's been sliced since morning or yesterday. If you offered fruit plate to make it up your mistake at least you should bring FRESH fruit not the one from yesterday. Seem like instead of putting in the garbage they gave it to us. I was pushing my limits and still kept cool and didn't say anything but when we were paying the check, I only left $ 1 tip and told waitress about the reason and our experience with the food and service. Hope she understood and mentioned these problems to manager or owner...
