Great place to have quick lunch or fine dinner. We came here weekdays for an early dinner. Our party was 4 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 kids. Everyone has found some delicious options for their taste. There was a lot of good appetizers and I didn’t order entree for myself but others got both appetizers and entrees. They were so delicious. Place is clean and spacious. Staff are so nice. Bathroom is unbelievable clean which is very important. You can see part of the kitchen, looks very clean and organized. I believe they serve alcohol too. I definitely will come back.
This restaurant offers delicious Turkish and Mediterranean dishes. The flavors are authentic, and the food is fresh and tasty. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a great place to enjoy a meal. Highly recommend trying their kebabs and mezes!
I was very well taken care of here at Acherry Restaurant! I had whole branzini, it was very juicy and grilled to perfection. I also had the mushroom and potatoes which tasted amazing. We ended the night with fresh Turkish tea and rice pudding! Family owned, it is evident they care so much for their customers, service and the quality of the food. Thank you!
This is a great place. I liked everything very much. The hostess so pretty and supportive, servers are wonderful they help a lot. You can immediately see that a team of professionals works there. The food is super fresh and cocktails are very tasty. There is a huge parking lot. On weekends there are a lot of people, mostly on the veranda, because the restaurant also makes such a tasty hookah. My favorites are chicken shish kebab and grilled shrimp, be sure to try kazandibi, when you come here, it is the most delicious Turkish dessert, and they also have very tasty cappuccino. The atmosphere is very fresh, there are flowers on the tables. Thank you for everything, I will definitely come back again ❤️
The whole experience was fantastic, from the delectable cuisine to the attentive service to the quaint setting. The service was top-notch. Our waiter, Onder was very attentive and made excellent service. I've been to many similar restaurants, but this one truly stands out. The attention to detail and commitment to guest service set it apart from the rest. The menu offered a delightful array of dishes, each expertly crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Owners are wonderful people. I am uniformed member of the army and law enforcement, and stormy recommend this restaurant.
I loved this restaurant , we celebrate birthday parties for my son with 30 people, it was delicious food friendly people and very clean restaurant
Amazing. The waiter was nice. The food was delicious. This is our forth time.
This restaurant truly serves high quality cuisine. The penne vodka is the best I’ve ever had, which says a lot because it’s typically not a dish I like to order from other establishments. I also love their salmon shish kebab, it’s one of my go to items that I order often. The seafood pasta is delicious and fresh. I even love the cocktails, smoothies and milkshakes. Shoot, even the bread always taste fresh after being delivered. Everything here that I’ve tried so far is great. I definitely recommend this restaurant and I’ll continue to try more items on their menu.
As soon as we walked in, the staff greeted us with a big welcome. They made us feel like they were a part of the family. They saw my mother needed help, they came and opened the doors in and out. The food was amazing. The portion we ordered could feed 8 instead of the 4 they said. The food was hot and fresh. The waiter explained what we were having. When we were ready for dessert. The chef came out when we said that they were out of the world. We found out the chef was the owner. The atmosphere was quaint. Music was good. The money we spent was worth every penny. Definitely will be heading back
The newly opened A chery restaurant on Coney island ave fascinated me with its very nice atmosphere. Its food, fish, Adana kebabs are delicious. There are places to sit both inside and outside. Also, they have a lot of places to put a car. It's a Turkish restaurant where you can spend a good time with your family.
Nicest people of all time and amazing food. I stopped by at 7pm on a Tuesday and it wasn't very busy. There's a big parking lot. The food was served very quickly. Super happy! Everyone should try this place.
The appetizer mezze was a great starter, the babaganuch was the best ive had. The shepards salad was so delicious we had to take one to go. Fish was fresh and grilled to perfection. Owner was charming and service was superior. Highly recommend this restaurant a winner.
Simply the best Turkish restaurant in South Brooklyn. Delicious, fresh, consistently great. The service is so professional, polite, and accommodating. Thank you for keeping up your high standards.
The food here is absolutely delicious! Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend the Steaks, From appetizers to desserts, this restaurant exceeded all our expectations! Our family especially enjoyed the appetizers, the variety of desserts! The cheesecake was a crowd-pleaser! Highly recommended
I ordered beef shish. It was really really good. I’ve never eaten like this before, very soft and tasty. I like it. My kids ordered cheeseburger and hamburger. My husband ordered cokertme kebab, he liked too. Restaurant was spacious. A good place to go with family and friends. Service was good. Thank you A Cherry&Lounge Cafe’s team.
Very clean, uncluttered and tastefully decorated, with cozy booths and private tables inside and covered patio seating outside. The restaurant staff are very attentive and presentable. I liked the variety of appetisers and beverages/desserts on the menu. The quality, freshness and presentation of the food is very good, if not Instagram worthy. There is parking available for customers, so make sure to check before driving around to find any in the street. I'd recommend this restaurant for lunch, dinner and a casual get together. While I understand why they would not do this, one thing I wish they did beyond posting a sign on the door, is to actually check customer Covid vaccination, as per state regulations. The staff all wear masks, so why shouldn't customers?
Went here for lunch because it was one of our coworkers birthday.Had a great time ,the place had a parking lot,out door seating as well.It was a site to see ,the inside was beautifully decorated, the bathroom was very beautiful and extremely clean also.We ordered one lobster tail and 3 chicken shiskebab dinners and drank beer, wine ,soda and coffee latte. The food was fantastic! We listen to some French music at the time which was very nice while eating, but they play all kinds of music. We met up with one of the owners and she was more than happy to talk to us and even took a picture with me.They can reserve the place for different events if you want ,or just visit like us and kick back with some friends and enjoy. We bought food to go as well .We are definitely going to be visiting here alot more with friends and family. Thanks for a great time❤️
Just finishing lunch here, and I have to say: if you’re not eating here the next time you want a terrific meal, you’re making a mistake!! Amazing food, fantastic spices, and huge plates; we had the mixed grill, branzini, and the octopus salad. Trust me: everything was delicious, the teas and coffees were flavorful, and the decor is absolutely stunning!! When you add to that the fact that the owner designed the furniture, there’s absolutely no reason why this shouldn’t be your next meal destination!!
I've been to this restaurant couple of times, and now it's time to write my unbiased review: this is a European-Turkish-American style restaurant, with a wide selection of different delicious dishes and drinks. Very pleasant vibes, attentive personnel, good selection of cocktails. Big self-parking is a huge plus for this business, also an interesting design of restrooms (i got used to it after the second visit). For all locals from this neighborhood: this used to be BurgerKing, which apparently didn't survive competition from MacDonalds across the street. I will visit this place again, leaving 5 stars.
The place was amazing! I had a great time last night with my friends. The dishes are of high quality, very tasty. Quality is higher than price. We also tasted cocktails and desserts, I recommend Kunefe. You really should try it. The place has many parking spaces. Indoor and outdoor tables and the best service.
The food is very delicious. The service is very good The people work there friendly I really like it
Yummy Yummy. Very tasty food, good service, great atmosphere to go with your guests family…Excellent presentation. I went there with my family and friends last night. We were very happy with their hospitality, food and relaxing atmosphere. I would like to thanks A Cherry Restaurant to make me walk out there proudly.
Newly opened and the food is very flavorful! I tried 2 dishes and 2 deserts and both were delicious. If you can't handle spicy, you may want to ask them to tone it down a bit. I love spicy food, so I was very happy. The meats are obviously marinated because everything was tasty and juicy. The ambiance is really nice too. Give them a try
I'm particularly impressed by their consistent friendliness. Workers display incredible pleasantness and flexibility, bringing meals promptly. The kitchen maintained good pacing. Their pricing undercuts similar establishments. I intend to visit again for new food options.
I hosted a banquet for friends here and it turned out great. The place is spacious, which made it comfortable for a group, and the background music was pleasant without being overwhelming. The Turkish food was excellent — from the appetizers to the main dishes and desserts, everything tasted fresh and flavorful. Another big plus is the option to enjoy a hookah on the terrace, which made the evening even more special.
The best Turkish food I’ve had in a while. The place is beautiful and the food was amazing. The presentation of the food alone had us wowed but the taste combined with how it looks is why I know I’ll be coming back soon. Drinks were also great and hookah option was a plus! Definitely recommend checking this restaurant out (especially if you’re tired of dry or not as greatly seasoned meat!)
ACheerry Restaurant has quickly become one of my go to spots in Brooklyn . I’ve been here quite a few times and every single visit has been an extremely pleasant experience from start to finish. The owners are genuinely kind and welcoming, and you can feel how much pride they take in the restaurant and in making sure every guest is taken care of. The customer service is consistently excellent & friendly, attentive, and thoughtful without ever feeling rushed. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a great place to stop in whether you’re coming for a casual meal or bringing family and friends. And the food? Exceptional every time. Fresh, flavorful, well prepared, and consistently high quality. It’s the kind of place you’re happy to recommend because you know others will enjoy it just as much. Highly recommend ACheerry Restaurant if you’re looking for great food, wonderful service, and owners who truly care about the experience they provide. I’ll definitely keep coming back!
I want to say seeing this place for a while I wasn't sure I wanted to go. But boy I was wrong yesterday my coworkers about 10 people went to celebrate a birthday dinner and it was fantastic waiters were on point with drinks that were so good all party loved them they were perfect. I don't drink but for a special lychee Martini for drivers not a lot of alcohol. The appetizers were fresh and amazing the bread was to die for. Then they all got together turned on a Russian birthday song made our coworker feel extra special. All food was fresh and so yummy. Today our office had lunch from a rep and guess where we ordered from yup yup this amazing yummy place. Our Doctors loved the lunch and I'm so happy they liked the food. Keep up the awsome service.
Great food, great service, friendly staff. I tried this restaurant for the first time. I went with my wife. She had grilled salmon, and I had a wonderful meat and cheese pide. Everything was wonderful. The produce was fresh, the salad was wonderful, and the cold appetizers were fresh and carefully prepared. The best part is that the restaurant is clean and organized. This is now my new favorite.
The restaurant is located in the Sheepshead Bay section of Brooklyn. They prepare Turkish/Mediterranean cuisine. We ordered the mezze platter appetizer which consisted of hummus, babaganoush, haydari, ezme and eggplant salad. It was very good with small portions. The fried calamari was accompanied by two sauces. The chicken shish kebob were marinated chunks served with rice and cole slaw. The lamb adana kebab was made with ground lamb with red bell peppers seasoned with paprika, grilled on skewers and served with rice and house salad. The chocolate lava cake was similar to a souffle with ice cream. The restaurant was very clean including the restrooms. Staff and management were friendly and helpful.
Business lunch for two at 3:30pm place was obviously empty but clean. Good decor, no music but at the time but it's fine, we got to talk. Sat outside to enjoy the day. Food was good, tasty and savory just on point. Our server was friendly, very attentive but professional and respectful. Beers were here cold. Will come back to try other dishes, wanted something light so had red snapper fillet with mashed potatoes. The other person had the Sheppard salad, shrimp and steamed white rice, also very savory. Hope you enjoyed like i did Decent price. Til next time
We celebrated a birthday here and had a great experience! The food was very tasty with generous portions. The atmosphere is very cozy and truly reflects the spirit of Turkish cuisine. Having a hookah added a nice variety and made the evening even more enjoyable. Definitely a place we’d come back to.
It’s been awhile since I haven been there. I loved the atmosphere, food and service. Waitresses were pretty good at taking care of the tables. Since we were 15 people, they did keep up with us good. We got A Cherry Special mix grill. It was pretty good. We all liked the presentation. We also met the owner also, he was very friendly and cool.
Amazing service and atmosphere! We visited as a group of seven, including two children, and the team could not have been more welcoming. They were extremely attentive and wonderfully children-friendly, which made the experience so much easier and more enjoyable. The food was excellent as well-capturing the authentic flavors of the Mediterranean perfectly. A truly delightful dining experience!
One of my favorite Mediterranean spots! The staff is super professional, the food is always fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere is beautiful—especially with all the Turkish lamps (which you can actually buy!). My friends and I always start with the appetizer that comes with 5 tasty dips and warm, fresh bread—so good. Their soups are hearty and flavorful, and honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of the entrees. Love coming here every time. Highly recommend!
A-Cherry Restaurant is a fantastic find, conveniently located at the corner of Coney Island Avenue and Avenue U. One of its standout features is the private parking lot right next to the restaurant, which easily accommodates over 20 cars—a rare convenience in this area. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel very welcome. The hostess was especially helpful and accommodating, finding a comfortable table for our party of three right away. The waitstaff were equally impressive—friendly, attentive, and professional throughout our visit. When it comes to the food, I highly recommend sticking to the authentic Turkish menu. We sampled the babaganoush, octopus salad, and fried liver—all of which were absolutely delicious. These dishes truly reflect the heart of Turkish cuisine. I made the mistake of ordering a burger—while it was fine, it simply doesn’t compare to the richness and flavor of their traditional offerings. Learn from my experience and explore the Turkish specialties! The ambience is warm and pleasant, with the option to dine either inside or outside. It’s a well-kept, inviting space perfect for a casual lunch or a relaxed evening meal. Would I recommend A-Cherry to friends and family? Absolutely yes. Will I return? Without a doubt. This is a wonderful neighborhood spot that delivers both quality and hospitality.
I've been looking for a shepherd's salad for long time. I have tried several restaurants and it all has disappointed. This is the first restaurant, that the shepherd's salad Has been the same quality and flavor every time I have gone the food here is amazing. I love the Flame grill Taste I have gone several times with friends. The atmosphere it's great. The service is amazing, even though they tend to forget things And the food I have to admit it's some of the best food I have eaten in Turkish or Mediterranean. Whatever they want to call it in other restaurants. I would definitely recommend this place two people The price is A bit high, but the quality of food you're getting mix up for it Once I find it, I got the a cherry mix and I feed up to 4 people It's amazing I will post it as soon as I find it
I love the food here. I'm a huge fan of Mediterranean/Turkish food. The dimly lit decor there is beautiful. And I must say the service is awesome 👌. Our servers made sure that we were good. Me and my friends were here on Old Years Night and had a good time. I took my mom here for her birthday dinner. Trust me, she was pleasantly surprised. I'll always look forward to eating here again and again.😄😄
First time visiting this place. Food Turkish style. Kebab was very good. Didn't like the lamb chops, were overcooked. Also my husband ordered sautéed beef chunks and he got like a stew style beef in tomato sauce. Overall was good experience. Order mix grill it's good for 2 and it was good. Also mixed appetizer.
The Lamb Aldana is the way to go. Very tasty. I prefer the kabob wrap with fries as the fries are wonderful but the serving of rice is a bit small and less impressive to me. The staff are so attentive and friendly. I enjoy dining there and delivery from here.
Nice place, respectful attentive staff. Visited early, between lunch and dinner. It wasn’t crowded. Food was good, moderately priced, not cheap at all.
Great food. Great service. Highly recommended l.
Watch out for the hookah smokers outside at night. We were seated inside and they didn't bother us but it would have if we sat on the outside. The food was great! Service was also very good.
Great place for dinner.I went there for my birthday and really enjoyed it.The food is delicious, huge portions and great variety. The deluxe seafood platter is delicious and good for4-5 people.Delicious desserts and appetizers.Excellent service, very fast and efficient. The place is a bit noisy, but it’s a problem of majority of the restaurants in Brooklyn.Overall great place with free parking, delicious food and decent prices.
I would say a good experience overall. The service was good and the ambience was pleasant. The host is very observant and knows what the customers want. The appetizer (Fried Calamari & Stuffed Mushrooms) was tasty. The entrees were also okay but they were nothing to write home about. You can pretty much get the same things anywhere else and maybe at a lower price point/better quality. My fettuccine Alfredo with chicken was okay but the chicken was slightly overcooked. Overall I would say a good 1st experience but unfortunately I would probably not return a 2nd time since it wasn't all that special given it's price point.
Went there on a heat-wave day for early lunch. Didn’t have A/C on yet indoor. So we sat outdoor. Good thing there was a breeze. Would not be going back in the summer if they stay cheap about the A/C. There are plentiful Turkish restaurants in Brooklyn with A/C. 3/30/25 update: second time here, this time for dinner. Meat grills are always great. This time we tried grilled fish. Very good also. Music is NOT loud at all, as I see some reviewers complained. Mixed grill was very good, though the chicken was just a tad dry. The lamb adana and lamb chops were perfect. The seafood linguine was very good. However, The drinks were a bit artificial, and not made from fresh fruits. Minus one star for the lack of A/C and the artificial drinks.
Atmosphere not 100% halal. Music, alcohol, hukka ruins the atmosphere of the place to be enjoyable.
I've been here a few times, but I don't think I will be coming back. Okay so each visit is about $200 and the positives are that there is a parking lot, the atmosphere is decent, and the drinks are large and yummy. The problem is that the food is good one day and a miss another day. One day we got the special mixed platter which was great except the lamb was just okay. We got the octopus salad which was good. The quinoa salad was over-dressed - nobody even touched it after a taste. We tried the cheese rolls which were good. I got the Shepard salad which was good in my opinion but it was Not what a Shepard Salad is supposed to be. The order of fries was so small it seemed like they had no potatoes left or something. The drinks improved from the last time to this time; this time they were stronger and correctly made. The service was also great before but just kind of awkward the last time (perhaps this girl is new). I don't know. 3 stars for the parking, their ability to turn the old burger King into a chill atmosphere, and the yummy drinks and few dishes, but overall needs to be improved to thrive.
Update: Today's visit was very disappointing. They didn't say that Poland Spring water will be charged for $6 per bottle. They did not back me change (I didn't say that I wanted tips specifically of that amount). They tried to do their best but service was too rushed. I wanted to celebrate my birthday (again) and soon there, but I changed my mind.. 2 years ago (and during this 2 years) everything looked very promising: Great experience. Clean, fast, delicious food and Turkish coffee. It was my favorite Burger King at that place and I hope it will be my favorite Turkish coffee place.😉
Over excitement generally leads to disappointment. This is exactly the case today. An average diner serving up a mixture of Turkish food & burgers. I think it’s more suitable for dinner or private parties. Definitely not lunch. PROS: 1) large venue with comfortable seats 2) good sunlight 3) free self parking CONS: 1) paying a premium for average food 2) small portions 3) bathroom hand dryer was broken & no paper towels 4) Caymus Cabernet is $200?
ACherry restaurant is a nice restaurant in Brooklyn with a small parking lot. The waiter was very nice. Food was good. It was enjoyable, nothing special. The only weird thing was that they had this photographer who took pictures of us and then sold us later with frames. Each cost $20 and felt weird. I don’t think I will come back again.
No service only took the orders . Never came by to ask how is everything . Food is average . On a sat night , basically empty .. 👎👎 charge $8 for water
Been coming to this spot with friends since they opened, our last experience was very disappointing and will not return. They changed the interior design and lighting, lighting is bad and not comfortable, very dim because the lights are hanging too high. The prices had gone up, higher than Rocca over Emmons, BUT the food quality is definitely not up to par for what they charge. Baba ghanoush was so tiny, felt like an appetizer combo portion and lacks the charred taste. Garlic butter shrimp was way over cooked and quite salty, NY stripe steak was requested at medium and came out to the well done and had weird/not fresh taste to it, plus the texture of meat was off, first time we did not finish our steak. They didn’t even have condiment size butter for the bread. Not sure if they are trying to tighten ingredients budget, but no bueno. Overall, we are mostly disappointed at the food quality, they used to be much better. Server is friendly. Also, the suggested tip % is calculated after tax is added to the subtotal.
Anyone who reads my reviews knows I am completely unbiased, I like to be thorough in my review as much as possible with that being said, let’s go on to the review. I had such A sad experience here. First off the server that we had was so dull, he maybe said a total of 20 words to us throughout the whole dine in experience. The food had little to no flavor besides the Lamb shish kebab that was spot on, but the ribeye steak was so plain I had To leave half the steak on the table. mashed potatoes was definitely frozen bought mashed potatoes. It was still cold and they had melted cheese on top of it. The french fries were good. The caramel Frappuccino was good. The strawberry banana milkshake was made with syrup. You could tell that was Nesquick strawberry syrup. Onto the service, For some reason, maybe the server was having a bad day but my God this guy acted like he did not care at all. I had also requested water from him and he said OK, About 10 minutes go by and I still did not get my water so I ask another server if they can get me water another 10 minutes goes by and I still did not get water. Finally they return with the Poland spring bottle That look like it was just taken out the fridge and I’m sure they probably bought it at the corn store. The place was not even that packed today and it’s Father’s Day so I would think today of all days they would be on their A-game and unfortunately they struck out, I don’t think I’ll ever be revisiting this place or giving it a second try that was just such a bad experience for a Father’s Day meal that I should’ve known better and listen to my wife and gone to opera. A complete fail on my part, major fail on their part.
They place in clean, stuff that works there are very friendly, didnt wait for food too long but they they bought me a stake that i ordered, it was vary small and a lot of fat for 34$ that i paid! They last time i been there stake was huge and tasty but not this time. Also i ordered chicken tenders for my 1 year old baby(she loves them) but is was rough and dry. Soup was good, milkshakes are good.
Incredibly middle of the road food, way too expensive for how not even okay it was, service was okay, but the biggest atrocity of this place is how loud the music is and how horrible the environment is. The music was way too loud and at multiple points they denied turning it down, I genuinely think It has damaged my ears. I wouldn’t touch this place with a 100 foot pole if I were you. Never go here.
I was looking forward to my lunch today. Fettucini Alfredo without chicken which I order everytime I go to ACherry. I was charged the same price for just the pasta. No chicken, no extra pasta! When I told 2 servers that it was not the right price for the dish I was told with or without chicken it was$24.00. Toral rip off! My friend had the Royal seafood pasta for $27.00. The calamari was missing. She paid for a dish with a missing seafood. Again rip off!
I stopped in for a quick lunch during my break, and the experience was extremely unprofessional. I was hassled twice while quietly reviewing some career materials, and after barely 10 minutes, I was told not to come back. I work nearby and had every intention of becoming a regular customer, but the way I was treated felt targeted and discriminatory. Very disappointing and unacceptable behavior. I will not be returning. If you’re not Turkish don’t come here. For an empty restaurant you would think you would be treated with some respect or regard.
Horrible!!! Food is horrible! Was there 6 months ago and the food was delicious, not anymore! Waited 1.5 hours for a breakfast and half of the items in the menu wasn’t even on the plate. When asked the manager why, he said that they dont have the ingredients and he is sorry 😂 Yengen toast is the worst in Brooklyn! This is not a Turkish restaurant. There is no way Turks don’t know how to make their own food!
Very dry meat for barbecue. Mixed grill didn’t even have everything, it’s not worth it. Servers need some training also on how to take care of their tables. Maybe bad management overall…
Placed an order for delivery through seamless. It was delayed by over 2 hours due to the restaurants not being able to prepare the food in time. Called once they told me they are backed up and it would be 5 minutes and it would be coming out. Waited another half hour for it to get delayed again. Called again they put me on hold for over 10 mins and hung up on me. Tried to call again they stopped answering. Placing an order for over 2 hours and waiting half hour just to be left out to dry with answer is unacceptable. At least just be honest and say we can't handle this order because obviously your staff doesn't have the decent to be honest and come out right and say that. Me or My family will NEVER spend our money here again.
Plus note: The waiter was very nice in the beginning, for some reason at the end, he was kinda rushing us out even though they were not busy. Small parking lot is a plus. Negative: There was a “photographer” taking pictures and then sold it later with a glass, sharp frames for $20 each. I felt a little put off by this. FOOD: It was okay, bread was good. Meat wasn’t well seasoned or had a “smell”.
