Best service we’ve had in ages! Wonderful place to get lunch on your way to the aquarium. Good food and reasonable prices:)

We were pleasantly surprised that we had such a lovely meal as we have tried most of the usual resto grub around coney island and we were not expecting much at first. It turned out to be a truly delightful meal and service was warm and friendly. May was so super nice and helpful with my nephew who loved the sushi, soup and wagyu beef. The atmosphere was relaxing and hoping that you keep it up. If you are looking for light hearty yet fulfilling meals, try this new restaurant and see for yourself!

Taoxi is a fantastic blend of Chinese and Japanese flavors, offering a wide range of dishes that are both fresh and flavorful. The sushi is artfully presented and tastes incredible, while the Chinese menu is full of comforting, well-seasoned classics. Service is attentive without being intrusive, and the atmosphere is modern yet cozy. Sushi rice is pretty good, however there is always room for improvement for perfect sushi rice!

I like this place as far as service and location. But the food has too much breading. The sweet and sour chicken was 35% breading which isn’t typical. The general tsos chicken had breading that was way too think. Just felt like they were selling me sub par food for normal prices. I didn’t like the linemen either. It had watery lettuce in it 🤮. I gave it a 3 star rating based on service beers and location. But bottom line is I didn’t enjoy our food.

Chicken teriyaki was very disappointing, about 80% cabbage and only a few small pieces of chicken. The texture was more steamed than grilled with barely enough sauce or flavor. For $22 it’s completely overpriced and not worth it. Sushi was fresh and good, though.
