Here is what I have to say to all who live near The Chocolate Room... if you have not been there you are MISSING OUT! We live in Arizona and order on line. Everything from the Chocolate Layer cake, the very first time we saw this decadent dessert years ago on Unique Sweets TV program. We have tried every Bon Bon, Chocolate Chip Cookie, Brownies, Peppermint Patty, Chocolate Pound Cake, Hot Fudge, Cocoa Powder, Hot Chocolate Mix... and even bought the cook book which is a delightful read. We have never been to Brooklyn but promise we will go just to walk in to this magical place. Naomi and Jon and all the staff are polite, helpful, go out of their way to get us our sweet treats. On the web site, the store and all the satisfied customers makes us want to get there soon. Beautiful, inviting, and with all the smiles in front of and behind the counter, why would you not make this a regular stop when in the area. Go visit soon and tell Naomi I sent you. I love The Chocolate Room! The banana split is perfection (they brûlée the banana halves!), and the mint chip ice cream with fudge is delightful. I wish I lived closer to their shop!

This cafe is full of sweets and happiness. All the desserts are made fresh. When I go I usually get their brownie sundae with vanilla ice cream. The brownie is so warm and delicious. If I ever want something different I get their banana split. That is to die for! The bananas have sugar melted on them which give them extra sweetness. Our little family of three shared the prettiest Banana Split and we couldn’t have enjoyed it more. Everything about it was absolutely the best - the ice cream, the bananas flambé, the strawberry sauce, the chocolate…And the cake pop was one of the best I’ve ever had, very rich and chocolaty

If you want to spoil your loved ones with decadent chocolates, this is it. As a chocolate truffle lover, I have to give this place a full 5 stars. Finished the entire box of chocolate and I’m still dreaming of every single bite of them. Flavors are rich and dense but not too crazy sweet. Not inexpensive for sure but worth a splurge on a special occasion.

The most sophisticated chocolate cake I have ever had.... Not densely packed with sugar and overly sweet like traditional American chocolate cake.... This was a symphony of different types of chocolate rang through each bite from milk to dark you tasted the chocolate not sugar, was moist and wanted to lickt he plate clean .... Amazing maybe the best chocolate cake I've had... Cake was also visually beautiful

Chocolate lovers this is my place! The only issue I had with this place is there were too many delicious options to order from. The folks working here were super warm and patient. I got the brownie sundae with the Sumatra ice cream and was in love. I will deff be back to try the rest of their items.

Another special trip to the Chocolate Room. My daughter who is returning to college had one request a visit to Brooklyn before her departure needless to say we LOVE coming here. A chocolate lover’s dream house. This has been a go-to for my family when the cravings kick in . The triple layered cake is moist and not too sweet with perfect amount of icing . The hot chocolate is delicious.

This is the best Chocolate Room! The other ones are ok, but this is the best one! I got the brownie sundae (AMAZING) and have had the flourless cake before (AMAZING). Can't remember what else. They sell adorable handmade truffles and chocolates in various flavors. I need to make it here before dark one of these days though, my photos are always garbage. It's really nice and the staff are on their game

Ordered the chocolate cake for various birthdays, they were pretty good each time.

Every time I come here I have the best time. The staff is courteous and accommodating, making you feel right at home. Food and drink has been consistently delicious — recent favorites have been the dark spiced hot chocolate (don’t forgo that whipped cream!) and the classic chocolate chip cookie. They also made my friend an affogato per request, which was reportedly amazing. Love that there’s ample seating on the back, and I’ve always felt welcome to stay awhile and savor my treats.

The banana split was INCREDIBLY SCRUMPTIOUS!! Pair it with the ruby or chocolate port. The chocolate chip cookies were also heavenly! Chocolate throughout yet soft and buttery.

This is probably my favorite place in my neighborhood. They have delicious chocolates and even more delicious hot chocolates. For coffee I highly recommend the Cafe Torino and to pair it with the Chocolate Layer Cake. I come here almost everyday to study due to its cozy environment, good service and great chocolate.

This is by far the BEST chocolate, coffee, and ice cream shop I have ever been to. I will absolutely fly half way across the country from Dallas to come back here to have a double shot of espresso, mint chocolate chip ice cream, chocolate chip cookie, brownie, and every single truffle this shop has in their window with my husband!! The chocolate room is by far one of our favorite places in Brooklyn.

The bakery items were incredibly rich and flavourful. I'm not a sweet tooth person, but every bite in this place was a decadent piece of heaven.

Best chocolate cake and brownies ever, finally I found the right place where I can have delicious chocolate cake which I couldn’t find in any other bakeries! The cake is not too sweet, the amount of sugar is just right. Other places have cakes that have loaaads of sugar in them which is yuck! This place will be my go to for chocolate cake and brownies from now on! :)

Me and my family have been in NYC on vacation for a week. I wish I had found this place sooner!Tonight is our last night and we are staying here in Brooklyn. We wanted to door dash some desserts but couldn’t decide what to get so we got it all. We had fun sampling everything. It was all fantastic. My favorite was the Chocolate Mousse, and my husband loved the brownie. The mousse is so silky and flavorful! I wish we had a chance to visit the shop because it seems like the cutest place. This will definitely be the first stop if we come back to NYC!

The Chocolate Room is one those places you would love to visit on a cold winter day with friends, a special someone or your little people. The memories you will create will be lasting. I had the spiced chocolate with the flourless chocolate cake and both was divine. If there was not so many people around I think I would of licked the plate and cut it was soooooooo good. The Chocolate Room is a must visit if you are looking for a great cup of hot chocolate and desserts.

Very nice place. If you are looking very good, above average crafted chocolate, you don't have to travel to the city. You have such place right here in Brooklyn. Great selection of chocolate also you have to try their hot chocolate with home made whipped cream.

Welcomed upon entry and helped with the menu. Allowed space to make a decision and went for the chocolate brownie sundae. Which was delicious. A perfect pudding. Warm fudge sauce, big piece of soft gooey yet crisp brownie and a big helping of ice-cream. It didn't taste homemade the ice-cream so whether it was or not I'm not sure but the taste wasn't reminiscent of a homemade ice cream parlour. Also treated myself to a homemade artisan orange chocolate which was a bit steep at $3 but the taste was fantastic. Thin outer shell hiding a soft truffle center which had a hint of orange, personally I'd have preferred a more bold flavour of orange but it was well balanced how it was. Will happily return and maybe sample their famous chocolate cake ...

Really delicious dessert restaurant serving all things related to chocolate. Ordered a earl tea bonbon, signature three layer chocolate cake, and a chocolate mousse with some whipped cream. Everything was really delicious. Not overly sweet but with strong complex chocolate flavors. Great spot to hang out with a very nice ambiance.

It’s easily the best chocolate cake I had in New York City. Light sponge with a beautifully creamy, decadent butter cream topping. The slices are great value as well. I also tried their other pieces and I’d recommend their fruit pies too! They’ve got a good amount of seating as well so you can just come and enjoy a few slices of different cakes. Excellent!

Very rich, very good. Spicy hot drinking chocolate is highly recommended. I prefer it with a dollop of whipped cream. Chocolate themed beers and floats are also quite good. Great place for before or after a movie next door, or a date location.

i’m just obsessed with the chocolate room. it’s so cozy and the staff is so kind! i usually get the spiced dark hot chocolate and/or the flourless chocolate cake with the raspberry sauce (it’s gluten-free!)

The place has the best chocolate cakes in Carrol gardens. The flourless chocolate cake with raspberry sauce is my favorite. Honestly I liked the vibe before Covid better, cause it was more cafe like, and they had chocolate mint tea which was absolute must have.

True to its name! I had an absolutely delicious truffle and two flavored affagado during my visit. I’m a bit of an affagado aficionado and literally carry a tiny spoon in my go bag for occasions like this. Was wandering through the area and stumbled upon this place. I love chocolate, ice cream, and coffee. This place has all three. My affagado was absolutely delectable and I would absolutely come back for more. They have an entire case of ice cream (including dairy free) options for you to choose from in addition to the vast collection of chocolates and chocolate infused items.

My family and I have been coming to the Chocolate Room for almost 20 years and have loved every visit. My husband and I came here for one of our first dates and it was magical. We have brought our kids and friends here for birthdays, holidays, and special occasions. I always order the same thing - the flourless chocolate cake with raspberry sauce, along with some mint tea. It's divine. When I think of what I would want to have as my last meal, I think of Chocolate Room flourless chocolate cake! Not that you could imagine a place named "the chocolate room" could be bad but it certainly delivered on it's namesake. As a lactose challenged individual the chocolate sorbet was so awesome and rich and was basically chocolate ice cream the brownie Sunday was great and the cookie was very crunchy. I don't know what happened to our service as it seemed in the ordering process we had pissed her off which was unfortunate but ya know we all go through stuff. If you like chocolate this is you place ... Obviously.

Such a cool space, and the food was top tier people, top tier. The BEST chocolate cake I have ever had, coming from someone who has had a lot of cake in their life and recently re-watched 'the bear', so my culinary standards were very high walking in. Got a slice of the chocolate cake and a brownie sundae and both were absolutely perfect, no notes. Service was friendly and fast, and again the setup of the place had great vibes. Please come here. I love this place. Good prices. Super friendly staff. Never really crowded. They answer their phone. Best brownie and cupcakes ever!! I would give a four star except for two things: I've heard then don't treat their employees well and also they don't deliver.

The room is cozy and the staffs are bubbly, giving a relaxed vibe. It's chocolate, what's not to like? The spiced hot chocolate was delicious with a hint of chili pepper, the perfect way to warm up on a cold winter day. Hannah was such a cool girl and she obviously likes what she does. She looked after her customers well by checking on them, or replenished their water glasses without even being asked. I'll definitely come back to sample more delicious chocolates!

Beautiful place with deceptively lots of seating. Everything looks wonderful, asked the people working and they recommended their chocolate layer cake or the brownie sundae. We went with the brownie sundae, very decadent. The brownie was warm, fudge was perfect and you get to choose whatever scoop of ice cream you want, all locally made. We went with cookies and cream, but I don’t think you can gowrong.

A place to grab all kinds of chocolate desserts and treats. Cakes are classic but little bonbons are outstanding. Flourless chocolate cake was pretty straight forward. Rich and thick with raspberry sauce and whipped cream. ❤️Bonbons were amazing! The raspberry one was recommended by the staff and it was creative and delicious.

This is a 💎 in Cobble Hill. The service is wonderful. The Hand Crafted Bonbons and The Truffle were 😋. I also got a Chocolate Pecan Square which was very good. The products are made in store. When you walk towards the back, you can see them working on these marvelous treats. They also have homemade Ice Creams and various types of Hot Chocolate. The place is very inviting. It feels like you're in another era. The prices are reasonable. I will definitely be back to try their White Hot Chocolate and maybe pick up a slice of their Chocolate Cake. This place will definitely bring a smile to your face.

I saw several recommendations on Instagram and decided to Visit the place. Nothing special, regular chocolate desserts and no provided service by the staff. The layer cake was soft but dry, would recommend add more cream between the layers. The brownie with the ice cream was good. The coffee mixed with hot chocolate was at first good but later the texture felt a bit oily. Overall, fine for one-time visit, if you are nearby. For a planned trip would not recommend.

I ordered the Classic Hot Chocolate and when it arrived it was room temp at best, not even hot and looked like it had been sitting there for awhile. It was good but it would've been nice if it was actually HOT...

The older lady who had serviced me, rolled her eyes at me when I asked what was in the ingredient. I’m not sure if it was deliberate, but she served the “hot” chocolate at room temperature twice I’ved been there. I would love to try other things in the menu considering the other good revues. Hoping to get a different experience next time.

I went in with super high expectations for a date night and have to say I was a bit disappointed. It was super busy on a Saturday (makes sense) but the person at the counter made us feel like we were a bother. Made the $15 brownie sundae feel less enjoyable when that’s the vibe. Taste was definitely high quality, just wish the portion was generous enough to justify the price and the service was worth the hour-plus long journey.

Had the chocolate pudding and Belgian chocolate ice cream. The portion size is less compared to the price. We had wanted to try the ricotta cheesecake but the server said that it was frozen and wouldn't thaw for sometime. Appreciate her honesty but if it's on the menu, it should be available and eatable. The pudding and ice cream were great.

The chocolate cake is absolutely exceptional; however, the owner tends to engage in lengthy conversations. It feels akin to entering a literal brain-dump black hole. Nevertheless, I have never encountered a superior chocolate cake in my life—it is undoubtedly worth the experience.

The desserts are okay! I mostly liked the chocolate mousse and the ice cream was nice but the flourless chocolate cake was pretty bad. I like that there's seating though! Personally I don't think I'd come back.

There is NO reason the POS should be promoting for tips for when you are ordering standing up, and there is no service being provided. I'm far less likely to shop there in the future. Please removed the tipping prompt. If you feel your employees should be paid more... Pay them more! But the Classic Hot Chocolate was yummy.

I love this place but my recent takeout experience has left me highly disappointed. I used ubereats for delivery and the ice cream came in the consistency of a milkshake. If I wanted a milkshake I would have ordered one. The ice cream container was dirty, the popcorn bag was soiled with chocolate and a chocolate fingerprint. There were no utensils and there were no napkins. I requested these items. The paperbag wasant very sturdy and not made for cold/frozen items. At the very least they could have a frezer/cold bad or added an extra layer. The temperature outside is 35°F so I am not sure why my ice cream didn't make it... These are the basics.

Not a big fan of walking into a business AT 9:30 WHEN THEY CLOSE AT 10, to have the first words out of the girl at the register mouth be “we’re closing soon” Really?! Businesses owners need to tell their staff to stop saying this to customers. It’s a chocolate, cake, cupcake and coffee spot, not a restaurant. They wouldn’t make me a coffee because they turned all their machines off? Then close at 9:30 …. lame and ruined the entire experience. I was really excited to try this place; bummer.

I came in on valentines day to buy chocolates for my wife. She liked them so much, we returned a week later to buy another box and have dessert after dinner. This lady really put a damper on our experience. Me and my wife had our first date at the chocolate room 8 years ago and things have gone downhill since.

I do not recommend their chocolate gluten free cake and whoever recommended it to my boyfriend should’ve not done that when he wanted to order a chocolate cake. He did end up calling back to say that the recommendation was bad, but the person on the phone said they can’t do anything about it because there is no refunds. The cake was supposed to be a surprise for me…I was so disappointed because I really like the chocolate cupcakes and I wanted to try the chocolate cake. I also think the brownies are amazing. So please do not try to change your customers mind when ordering! This happened about 4 months ago but I still go here every now and then for the cupcakes.

This review is from last night. I ordered the brownie sundae via delivery and unfortunately I was delivered brownie soup. I've ordered brownie sundaes from other places before and they always separate the ice cream and brownie so that the ice cream doesn't melt. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case for this place. 2 stars instead of one because that was some good brownie soup!

One of the driest chocolate cakes in my life. Only in the USA people still don’t know how to make cakes juicy with all syrups and other ways. Here you’ll be eating an oily chemical chocolate on the outside with Sahara dry layers of sponge cake glued together with two thinnest layers of chocolate ganache or smth close to it. If you wanted to enjoy this cake, you won’t, I promise you.

I wish I could come back to this place but the two that work here are driving customers out. I went in tonight and stood at the counter unacknowledged with them both talking and carrying on in front of me as if I didn’t exist. I had to ask how long the wait time would be and they so horribly ignored me and when I walked away, I heard the man tell the woman “A long time” they then both laughed and snickered. This is the second time I come here and am treated so disrespectfully, I cannot come back again.
